I came here for a late brunch with 3 friends and was very comfortable. The hostess was very friendly when we arrived, and allowed us to move our table to accommodate our friend who recently had surgery and was using a walker. The music was good and our server, Joseph, was awesome. He recommended the chicken and waffles and they were good. The chicken was big, the waffle was pretty good. I really really wanted to love this place. I wonder if my expectations were to high and this is why it disappointed. I went for a Sunday Brunch with the girls and truly this is a "girls" brunch spot. I came here on Saturday for brunch to celebrate a birthday. We had a large group. We had reservations but the wait was still really long. The rooftop was closed which was very disappointing. The rooftop was the entire reason we came. The restaurant was located in a hotel so the waiting area was in the lobby so very confusing and awkward when guests were arriving or leaving. We finally sat down and the table ordered bottomless mimosas. I ordered oxtail with rice and peas for my meal. It was delicious. The service was okay. He never came back to ask how anything was. I thought the brunch was going to be more of a party with hookah. They didn't have hookah which was advertised. The music was good but brunch was more on the calm side. Came here recently for a friends birthday gathering. Interesting lounge spot located in the lobby of a hotel in the Grand Concourse area of the Bronx. Had a rum punch and chicken and waffles. All around very good and not over the top expensive. Cool spot for groups or for a date night, however the lounge itself can be easily missed if you're not familiar with the area and also because it isn't a stand alone lounge. New rooftop and brunch spot in the Bronx? Sign me up! I've seen Rosa's pop up all over my IG so I had to stop in for Saturday brunch. It was super easy to get a reservation for 2 for a Saturday afternoon. We went around 2pm and it wasn't packed, which was great. The main bar and restaurant sits right in the lobby of the Wyndham hotel. As soon as you walk in, you'll see it in the back. Sadly due to poor weather, the rooftop wasn't open. But they did let us peak up there and wow, I cannot wait to experience that! Our waitress was super nice and explained everything to us. We went with the bottomless mimosas and they have flavor options y'all! We had the passion fruit mimosa which was very good, but could've used a tad less juice. We tried the sweet plantain ragoons and the guava sauce was to die for. But doubt I'd order it again, tasty but not my thing. We both ended up with chicken and waffles for our entree and were not disappointed. The serving size is huge, my friend had enough to take home. My friend and I made reservations for two and had to put a credit card to secure the reservation. No-shows and cancellations less than a day in advance are subject to a charge of $10 per person... Was happy to find a place that offers brunch on a Friday afternoon so I came specifically for that. Atmosphere: As others have mentioned, it is inside a hotel lobby so the overall space isn't huge. The decor is a super cute modern/trendy vibe. Our table was behind the bar which has a floor to ceiling wall/partition that made it feel like we were separated from the other side. I think bringing that down will really open up the feel. There is a photo booth and swing to take pics/boomerangs that get sent directly to your phone for free. The theme was R&B brunch and the music did cut out a few times but eventually the DJ arrived (around 5 pm) and things picked back up. It wasn't too loud and everyone was enjoying themselves at their tables/the bar. Once we finished our meal, we were invited to head up to the rooftop to have a drink or hookah. Tables were fcfs. The rooftop was very cute and had a lot of photo opportunities. It rained pretty heavily for a few and we were offered umbrellas while we waited it out. Food: I ordered the t-bone steak from the brunch menu. It was delicious! Seasoned well and had that grilled taste to it, which I love. There were also eggs, home fries and a small side salad. The portions were great and I was nice and full by the end. The unlimited mimosas started off VERY heavy on the juice, but our server, Joseph, had no problem making the next round stronger. They are very mindful of the 90 min seating time so don't expect any wiggle room on that. The bill for 2 people (we both had the same entree and unlimited drinks and 1 order of fries) was $172.56 which I found to be a bit steep for brunch. It was about $86 pp and there was a 20% service charge automatically included. Service: Both upstairs and downstairs provided excellent service. I made my brunch reservation for my sister and I at 2:30 we were immediately seated. Let me back track upon arrival the place is in a hotel but very vibrant colors and beautiful artwork all over. Was super excited to try this new place out especially with the instagram hype surrounding it Was seated immediately in what appeared to be the lobby of the hotel (took me by surprise as I had no idea). After being seated, we had to scan the menu using QRcode. I had internet service with no issue however my friend did not but our server was kind enough to provide wife password. A Beautiful and surprising restaurant in the South Bronx! We came in the winter and were not able to enjoy the outdoor space that is boasted all over social media, but nonetheless it offers pretty spaces and backdrops worthy of the nicest of Instagram posts. The music is moderately loud in some areas more than others. It's Latin fusion, and it was nice to see that both dishes ordered brought out surprises not specified in the menu - for people who are not picky and without dietary restrictions like myself and the person joining me, the fried cheese cube as garnish on the steak and eggs platter was very exciting. I opted for a yuca croquette and shrimp app as my entree, which was not only filling, but also exciting and delicious. The drinks were innovative and also fun.
