I now see why Rosaria's Pizza has high ratings. Just a great overall experience and definitely my first choice for pizza in the area. They are a very small family owned restaurant that serves huge pizzas up to 28". We were thinking about the 24" until the owner brought out the box. The service is super genuine as mentioned in other reviews. He divided our two topping choices into three sections so we could try different combos. The prices with a coupon he gave us were also ridiculously cheap. We had food for two meals each for $10. The best thing about the pizza is the cheese and crust. The sauce is also nicely flavored. I think just a cheese pizza would be a great option. The pizza has a very simple style without some of the fancy ingredients you see at other places but you will find simple is just fine at Rosaria's. read more

I worked at the polls the year before and being unfamiliar with the area I ended up eating a horrible meal at Burger King. Trying not to make the same mistake this year I yelped and found Rosario's near our poll station. For lunch I had there 8" sub sandwich. If your Italian or looking for a real sub sandwich this is not it. That being said its not bad tasting. Maybe it was all in my head, but I thought it had a Vietnamese sandwich flavor to it. I liked it so much I thought I would come back for dinner and try there $4 cheesesteak sandwich. That was my big mistake. They need to take that sandwich off the menu it's not close to a real cheesesteak sandwich. The pizza and wings are great. my girlfriend and I normally get a large pizza, half sausage and pepperoni and half cheese, with an order of wings. I like ranch. on my pizza. and wings. when we order we ask for extra ranch. which they deliver. our order comes with extra ranch at no charge, as far as I know. as a repeat customer, I am disappointed when tonight I ordered for pickup, the usual, only to be given TWO ranch, then told each additional would be $2. $2 .. let's think of the things in America you can buy for 2 dollars. let that sink in. I HATE business's that charge extra for condiments. it's 2016, trump is running for president and we as Americans are being charged $2 for extra ranch for our pizza and wings. read more

i've been waiting to find a top notch restaurant in Poway and finally found it. we ordered a meat lovers pizza for delivery. the lady on the phone was nice and the order was easy to place. the pizza arrived in less than 30 minutes. the driver was nice and the pizza was hot. now, the pizza. the crust was thin as you'd expect from new york pizza. the meats were really good. the ham was smokey and the meatballs were awesome but the sauce was the business. it was sweet enough to tie in all the meatiness to the crust. i didn't find it too greasy at all and certainly not as greasy as any typical NY pizza i've had in the past. just the right amount of grease to make a good slice and the 16" was plenty for 2 (+ a child). i highly recommend this place and will be ordering again. read more

Great prices and good quality pizza! You can not beat these prices! That is why I gave this place 5 stars. This isn't the best high quality pizza but I think it's definitely above average. I've ordered pizza without cheese and its still pretty good. I'm more favorable to Filipies or Coney Island but I come here more often because the prices are great. read more

We're loyal customers of this place. The pizza is SO good. Ask for the thick crust. Get an XL and you'll feed a family of 4 and have leftovers. Yum yum yum yum. And the prices are awesome. Visited Rosaria's today and I must say, it's a busy place. Lots of great items on the menu and the prices are fantastic. The pizza is similar to Pizza Hut, Dominos or "name of chain" medium crust pizza. We also had a "salad" which was lettuce, a slice of tomato and a slice of red onion. The oil and vinegar dressing had red pepper flakes, so beware. read more

Went here based off of the yelp reviews. I really want small family run businesses to thrive, but this was a disappointing trip. We ordered a pizza and lasagna. The pizza was mediocre at best and the lasagna almost inedible (we ended up tossing it.) I don't know what was going on with that lasagna but it tasted funky and was obviously frozen/not fresh and was just not good. I personally would not go here again. read more

The pizza is absolutely fantastic. We love their pepperoni/pineapple combo! The lasagna is also absolutely amazing and it comes in those tin pie trays, so there's a lot. The garlic breadsticks are just French bread with some garlic butter or something, but they are very crispy and good. We've been coming here for over ten years, and though they relocated a few years ago to a smaller place, the taste is still amazing. Definitely my favorite pizza spot!! read more

I love this place! I call and place my order and by the time I drive there, my pizza is ready. The price is unbelievable for the quality you get. Great amount of cheese every time (that is so important to me!). The crust has a unique and delicious texture. Great customer service every time and even a small selection of canned soda to add to your order. There are only a few tables to eat at there but I never have. I always take it home and eat it there. I had the 8" Rosaria Super Sub for $4.15 during lunch. What a deal! It was ready within 10 minutes of placing my order. It was hot and filled with Ham, Salami, Capocollo, Pepperoni, & Cheese. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is very good! It came with a sweet oil based dressing that really enhanced the flavor of the Sandwich. The service was good. The man who took my order was polite. My only complaint would be that the dining area was dirty. The floor had trash on it, and it looks like the floor and walls don't get cleaned very well. For a small pizza place in a random shopping center it is pretty good! Excellent tasting pizza and great service.

The best way to describe Rosaria's is... disappointing. We ordered a family meal from there recently, given the high reviews on Yelp and the variety of food the family meal offered (i.e. lasagna, pizza, garlic bread, spaghetti, and salad). With high expectations for it all, here's what they presented: Salad: small container of chopped iceberg lettuce with one tomato wedge and some red onion. Dressing was very spicy, and had chopped red pepper in it (the red pepper one usually reserves for sprinkling on pizza). Garlic Bread: point in their favor for not being frozen, but contained very little garlic flavor in the buttery part of the bread. Spaghetti: overcooked, thick noodles with sauce underneath (will refer to sauce later in this review) Lasagna: Lots of sauce with overcooked lasagna noodles, and chopped meat. Unfortunately, the meat was of generally low quality (i.e. fillers with little texture) Pizza: we ordered a pizza with meatball and mushrooms. In this case, assessment of the pizza falls in line with what others have said: medium crust with cheese; light on the sauce. In this case, amount of meatball was limited, while the mushrooms were disproportionately greater than the meatball distribution on the pie. "OK" would be the best way to describe it. Sauce: it was almost too sweet...hard to put into words. I can only hope it was not from a can or jar, etc, given that Prego off-the-shelf also can be termed as "sweet". The last point is that preparation took some time beyond what they stated (it was about 10 minutes late). This is a small nitpick, but should be noted, in context with the quality of the food mentioned above. I wish Rosaria's would have been more. It's located in a strip mall, in a rather nondescript location, but I've had great food from places in strip malls with nondescript locations. We'll keep looking for a better Italian restaurant in Poway. read more

I come back this small place because it's plain ol' good. I know that most pizzerias (this one is no exception) have pre-made ingredients shipped by mass distributors. However, the freshness of their house-made dough makes their pizza king of Poway. The dough is relatively thin, slightly chewy, and buttery. If able, eat their pizzas right out of the oven in their dinky store front. Piping hot Rosaria's is literally the best pizza in San Diego County due to the dough. I'd give them 5.5 or 6 stars if I could for their pricing. Local competitors charge more for lower quality, carry-out pizza than Rosaria's does *with* delivery. read more

The wife and I tried this place by chance today. We we're originally at the Radio Shack right next door. The smell drew us in. I actually asked the Radio Shack dude if the pizza was good and he said he loved it. I must say, we also loved it. The pizza came out hot & fresh so instead of driving home, we dined in at one of the benches. The inside is small but we were the only ones there. My only complaint would be, they only gave us one paper plate apiece. So we had to ask for another. No big deal though because the pizza really was good. We'll be back. read more

We have been eating here for over 5 years, atleast once a month, usually more. The cheapest pizza you'll ever get(in price), but great quality. Crust is on the thicker side, lots of sauce, lots of cheese, lots of whatever topping you want, what more can I say? Definitely worth a try for anyone. We get an 18 inch large pizza for $8. Not impressed. Phone etiquette was terrible, tried to hang up on me before I even finished my order. The restaurant was super hole in the wall run down. The pizza was ok, but not great. Super stingy with the pepperoni, each slice had one or two pepperonis and the cheese wasn't tasty.. I think it maybe was cheap cheese. Tasted like a fusion between cheap frozen pizza and pizzeria pizza. Cheap prices, but I guess you get what you pay for. Probably won't order here again. read more
