The store itself is smaller with a 4 seat bar and 4 4 top tables. They sell pizza by the slice as well as whole pizzas. Thr have a selection of a dozen or so beers in tap. Ordered a salad and a couple of slices. Food came out fast. The salad was a bit small but fresh. The pizza was better than chain pizza. It was not too greasy. Fresco has become one of our go-to spots for thin crust pizza. The crust is always nice and crispy without being too heavy. On our last visit we ordered two medium pizzas: one half Mrs. G and half Fresco Supreme, and the other half pepperoni and half sweet chili chicken. The Mrs. G was a solid 10/10 -- super flavorful and definitely our favorite from the order. Unfortunately, the sweet chili chicken pizza came out without the sweet chili sauce, which is kind of the whole point of that one. To their credit, the staff was friendly and offered to remake it for us. We appreciated that, but it was a bit inconvenient having to come back a second time to pick it up. Pizza's pretty decent, but for the love of god don't waste your money on the garlic breadsticks. $7/6 of them - we ended up taking one bite and throwing them out since they tasted like uncooked and dry plain dough. Currently my go-to pizza for the last 1.5 years! Probably because we live close by. Families current fave pizza here is the Mrs. G. Comes with alfredo sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, garlic, basil and patches of ricotta cheese. Item #2 family must order is the Smoked Gouda Mac....the kids love it! Other things that we've tried are the wings, fries, calamari, 50/50 meatball and pesto chicken pizza. They have indoor and outdoor seating here. They have pizza by the slice you can order, as well. Parking can be a pain sometimes, but that would be at busy times like noon or 5-6pm. If not, you can resort to parking on the street on the side, not on the main road of Camino Del Sur. Service is great. They are all super friendly. Inside is a little tight, but we've always ordered ours to go, so I don't know how the service is when you eat there. I want to say its the same thing. You order at the register than find a place to sit. I don't think its table side ordering. But I could be wrong. Inside is great...feels like a pizzeria! read more

Go to Fresco for the pizza toppings, not the crust. Although the crust is OK, it's not a finely crafted, artisanal type like you'd find in Naples. It's a serviceable vessel, however, for holding the creative toppings you'll find here. They're not only imaginative, but delicious too. Mine were the carnitas pizza (who would have thought?) and mushroom with pesto pizza, both very yummy! Service is great, too-- friendly, speedy, and accommodating. Wish these useless idiots had name tags, but the most notable was this tall blonde kid behind the counter who had me sitting around waiting for an order for 20+ minutes. After all that time elapsed, he came up to me and asked who my order was for. I told him (for the third time) the name for my order and he gave it to me immediately. IT HAD BEEN READY THAT ENTIRE TIME. When I asked him, "was it seriously ready this whole time, and I've just been sitting here for no reason?" "Uhhh, yeah, uhh, sorry, we've been busy." (There was 3 customers in the entire restaurant. The employees were just too busy chatting it up with the blonde moms at the bar stools.) I assume it was just understaffed but it took a while to even order slices. The slices are an average price but they ended up not being anything special. The carnitas had very little flavor. The other slices the toppings and cheese had a very good flavor but it was all brought down by the dough. It had a very "store bought dough" flavor - almost too sweet, and the crust was basically inedibly hard. The sauce provided didn't complement any flavor we tried and wasn't good in general. The place is small and it can get very crowded when busy since it's right next to the high school. There's better places for slices. read more

I tried a pasta here several years ago, and vowed to return to try their pizza. It only took me 4 years, but I'm a woman of my word! Vegetarian options are often pretty lackluster at pizza joints, and I'm not usually jumping for joy at the thought of debating between cheese or Margherita. That being said, Fresco's Mushroom Mama has rekindled my love for the pie! The ricotta and pesto pair well, neither one overpowering the other. I'd like to give an honorable mention to our server, Caitlin, who was terrific. Not only was she knowledgeable about menu items, but she was pleasant and personable--truly a paragon of customer service! From start to finish, she treated us like regulars (despite my 4 year hiatus, oops). I'll more than likely return for the Mushroom Mama, but Caitlin's stellar hospitality skills are what really seal the deal for me. Good food is everywhere; great customer service isn't! read more

On a Friday night, I ordered a 6-piece order of breadsticks and a BBQ chicken pizza with no onion and no cilantro. We ordered for delivery. Scheduled time: 7:15. It arrived on time! Yay! Pizza was delicious. The BBQ sauce had a bit of spicy tang, which I throughly enjoyed! The pizza was cooked to perfection. Chicken pieces were also good-could always use a tad more. The breadsticks were not great, sadly. They were rubbery and one was hard! Not sure if they were microwaved? Maybe it's because we got a grub hub order and by the time they arrived they weren't as good? I'll have to try fine-in to see if this is the case then. Great little spot, has more than you expect at first glance. Thought just small pizza by the slice shop, but has far more. Huge menu- really nice salad and entree options. I was just passing through for work- I live more up north but thrilled I found this spot for my monthly travel stop. The beer selection is also top notch. The Day Dreaming West Coast Pilsner is one of my favorites right now and they have it! Talked to the manager or owner- dark hair, not sure exactly who he was- but he picks the beer and he was awesome to chat with and so was his service. Friends ordered take out from here few nights ago . We all wanted to support local businesses while in the area . I think I spoke to Nikki on the phone who was super friendly and helpful . Our order was packaged and travelled well in the car. I have been a huge fan of their mushroom mama pizza but haven't had it in years . We requested extra pesto sauce and truffle oil plus added sausage. The crust was wonderfully thin and crispy . The pesto tasted so bright and alive (weird adjective to use but that's what comes to mind !). I couldn't taste the truffle oil though - maybe the extra pesto over powered . The Italian sausage was more crumble sausage versus chunkier pieces . We enjoyed this pizza . Cheese pizza was simple and straightforward. Friend's son said this was one of the better cheese pizzas he's ever had . Meatballs were large and delicious . Lots of marinara sausage and dollop of ricotta . Menu said it came with bread but our two orders were missing bread in both . I liked the meatball as it tasted meaty and tender . Caprese salad was served on top of arugula . We requested extra balsamic dressing which was about .50c extra . They gave us plenty which was nice . The staff put a personal note on bag and pizza boxes thanking us for support. I can't believe I haven't been to this place I've lived over 75% of my life in PQ. I enjoy the thin crust style of pizza. Great amount of options, but that carne asada one was unique and probably a favorite. What's also good on the menu are those meatballs. As an appetizer or a meal for the kids, works both ways. Fair amount of beers on tap, there's even a hard kombucha that I always get. It was POG (Passion fruit, orange, guava) when I was there. Lastly, while the setup looks small and narrow inside, it opens up to a wide outdoor area complete with heating units and TVs. We came here on a Friday evening in our pursuit to have every pizza in San Diego. It is an order and pay at the counter arrangement, and then you take your number and find a seat. There were only 4 people in front of us but for some reason the wait was like 15 minutes, not sure why. After we ordered (14" pepperoni pizza, a caprese salad, root beer and a pint, total to $45 before tip) we found a spot out back in the patio area. Great outside seating! The view was really pretty and it had a lively feel. Lots of families with children and small groups. Minor complaint that there was a table with like 3 couples in their 30s/40s who between all of them had mmm 500 small children who were being allowed to run shrieking through the establishment, climb the low patio walls and generally misbehave. The staff didn't ask the group to control their children but I suppose that's reasonably above their pay grade. It was just annoying to have screaming children sprinting by the table every few minutes. HOWEVER. The food was sooo good! Pizza was steaming hot, super cheesy, and the caprese was very generous. We ended up getting a box for the leftover slices. I would consider this place to be a hidden gem and we will definitely return. read more

I come here often, and for good reason! I really enjoy the food they have here, not just their pizzas. Their service is also fabulous, always greeting me with a smile, the girl who's usually in a ponytail often being the one to greet (she's really nice). It's never gets too loud, even when it's busy.
