Roberto and family who run this joint, do a great job! This is one of the best pizza joints around, and the owner is Siciliano, and since I am too, automatic points there. Old school pizza shop seating area, fountain drinks, teas and they have a bathroom. Pizza is very good, brick oven, hand tossed, very close to NYC in appearance and flavor. They have slices as well as the whole pie, and they make calzones, Stromboli, and stuffed breads, as well as zeppoles and other specialities, prices are on point with the amount of food you receive. My wife and I tend to just come for pizza, and we have only eaten regular menu once and that was chicken parmigiana and calamari, both which were good. Now...if you think papa johns or Pizza Hut serve pizza, then you may not like Rosarios, because it is fresh and real food; not cardboard, with plastic cheese and V8 for sauce. As former New Yorkers, my husband and I loved coming here specifically because you can order pizza by the slice, which we find very few and far between since moving to NC. We always liked coming for their pizza so tonight we decided that we wanted to try their pasta for dinner. I called in to place my order and wanted clarification if one of our dishes was made with a meat sauce. The woman who was taking my order literally chuckled over the phone and had the audacity to ask (in a very rude, condescending manner) "do you even know what you're ordering?" First off, I'm not an idiot- I was just asking for some clarification because different Italian places make their dishes differently. What a great find... We've been searching for a good Italian/Pzza restaurant since we recently moved to the area. Ordered a pizza to go last Friday night and we were a little concerned because of the distance from our home. Well, it was worth the drive. My wife went in to get it while I waited in the car. Mamma Mia, the wonderful aroma outside was enchanting-I can only imagine what it like inside. One thing I've found is when stopping off exits in small towns, you have to use Yelp on a curve. A 2* place in good food cities is about a 6* in many small towns. I guess pizza in a barbecue town gets infinitely higher. We were not impressed. Family thought pizza was just okay. My veal parmesan was merely a cheap piece of veal buried in cheese. The cheese was not Grande or any high quality. When I saw the owner checking out everyone on his security cameras like he was the security director at a casino or the White House, I should have known. The pizza and food here was very, very good. We tried the fried ravioli, couple types or pizza and some kind of stuffed roll that I think they call a pinwheel. Everything was excellent. It's a little more expensive than other places, but the food was very authentic! I could have been more impressed with the staff, here, however. We were there about 45 mintues prior to closing time, but the staff was ready to go before we ever got through the door. Un-comfortable and unwelcome..The pizza is good however not good enough to stomach the poor customer service.The last time we went to the establishment bus boy that cleared the table was the same person that boxed our food after clearing the tables he did not wash his hands. My husband got sick. We desided to try again after a few months later. We received the worst customer service.The lady behind the register was so rude and treated her customer very poorly. She then apologized after being confronted and her apology was blaming the customer for her poor attitude. First time coming here and I had such high hopes for it. I ordered the Chicken parmesan hero & the wait wasn't too bad. The food looked good when I received it however when I tried to take a bite out of my sandwich it was like trying to bite through a plastic bottle. I hope the food prep area isn't as nasty as the customer service I just received from the person at the cash register. I noticed no one preparing food or at register was wearing a mask. I said to the cashier "no one here has on a mask; is everyone vaccinated."I was met with attitude and rudeness of: We don't have to wear a mask here in Carbarrus County nor do we have to share whether employees are vaccinated. Great pizza place! Great ingredients like we've never tasted! Their meatball topping is fantastic! They also had gluten free pizza. They have a crust and you can put whatever toppings on it you like. Their cheese is also phenomenal! The GF pizza is a 10" pie and was cooked great! The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about gluten cross contamination and stated if your condition is severe we don't recommend eating at our establishments bc there will be cross contamination. We absolutely love Rosario's because of their pizza, pasta and the owner Giovanni is a awesome guy. My daughter loves their pasta dishes but swears the chicken Alfredo and white pizza are the best. So I just drive 20 mins to get a pizza and chicken parm hero from Rosarios. I get take out there all the time. I checked the pizza and opened the styrofoam sand which container ,I paid and left. When I got home and went to feed the children I opened the Hero and the 2 TINY pieces of chicken were burnt , dry and the bread was not fresh. I called and asked for the owner. Just to let them know, not looking for anything feee. A lady got on and as I calmly was telling her about how poor the sandwich was she got argumentative and I asked for someone else and told her she is not handling this properly. I heard her cursing me and mocking me as she walked away from the phone. The male owner got on the phone ( he kind of knows me) and he advised me that was his wife and she was not rude and he had been standing right next to her which I doubt because how long it took for him to get to the phone. I again explained how bad the sandwich was and how far I drive to get the take out. After finally apologizing he offers to make me a new one. I found out the lady there ( who I now find out is the owners wife ) was rude to my wife once before too. I am. I longer giving them my business and I ask you to do the same.
