I've eaten here over 50 times, every time has been excellent! Lunch, dinner and breakfast (leftovers):) All the employees there always very nice and very attentive. Rosa's is a solid option for lunch if you are in the area. The crust of the calzone and pizza were both excellent, as other reviews have mentioned. The sauce was also above average, though there wasn't much of it on the pizza itself. This is an order at the counter then sit, kind of place so the service was fine. The place seemed to need a good cleaning honestly, the table and condiments were pretty greasy and we were there early enough where it was unlikely from earlier that day... For whatever that's worth. The pizza here was pretty good. Loved the flavor and texture of the crust. Not to hard but still a little crisp to it. I love my pizza New York style so this was a plus for me. I know this place is popular with the sports teams, but I really wish they would find a different place. We follow them there, but just get drinks, since on previous occasions we left not feeling so good. Pizza is way to greasy. We haven't ventured out to try anything else. College Kid Review. I go at least once a week. It's a very friendly environment and the wait staff is courteous and quick. Best meatball sub anywhere. Period. Fresh bread and meatballs better than grandma makes. What more could you want? The pizza itself is pretty solid too. Even on a tight college budget, I'm willing to shell out the extra for it over Pizza Hut or Dominoes. Pro-tip: the cheese pizza is definitely the best left-over pizza in the area, especially with some Siracha on top. read more

I should've known with a name like Rosa's, it would be good pizza. One of my favorite pizza spots in Queens, NY is named Rosa's Pizza. This right here...is NY style pizza at its finest. I'm guessing some city ordinance has the one in Atl closed on the weekends (which makes absolutely no sense to me), but this lovely gem is open on weekends. You can't go wrong with any of their pizza. Great toppings (sausage is on point), cool atmosphere to bring your fam or watch a game with your peeps. This is now my to-go spot when I need my pizza fix. Its worth the drive. read more

I've lived in the Shallowford rd. area for years. I've been trying to find a good place to get a slice and a drink for a while. I'd given up on good pizza in GA. Finally I gave this place a try. Very!!!!!! Good pizza. I went on a Friday night after work and it was packed. The lady at the register was super nice. But the 2 slices I had reminded me of growing up in Jersey. The slices were also very big, and not skimpy on the cheese or sauce. Honestly I'll probably never try anything else there, cause most Italian food in GA sucks and not very exciting. Poor service and ok pizza. This was our first time here. The person to greet my family was rude. She handed us a menu and left. You have to order at the counter then go sit down. All of the chairs and booths are all hard seats...not comfortable at all. No one came to our table and asked us if we wanted refills. The pizza was just ok; the bottom was overdone. I used to really like coming here for their New York style pizza, but it seems like the quality has dropped a bit. The pizza is a bit more soggy, and more difficult to eat by hand (NY style pizza is not to be eaten with a knife and fork!). Had a bad experience for lunch today. It took about 15 minutes for our three slices of pizza. People who came in well after us were served before us. When we finally were served, the mushrooms didn't even appear to be cooked - it seems like they were just thrown on top of the pizza after the slices came out of the oven. Going forward, I think we'll drive a little bit further to Labella's, who has real top notch NY pizza. read more

I recently ordered to-go food from here and I was very impressed. Around the Marietta area it's difficult to find really good pizza. Yes, Mellow Mushroom is yummy, but quite expensive and I have definitely had way more than my fair share of Papa Johns. Instead of giving their pizza a try I ordered a calzone with mushrooms, bell peppers, and spinach. I wanted to order banana peppers along with it, but they didn't seem to have them on the list of toppings so I didn't ask. Upon arriving at Rosa's my food was already ready and the staff seemed very helpful and friendly. Once I got home I couldn't wait to dig in. Unlike the traditional calzone that we have all had this one was hollowed out in the middle to fill with yummy-ness. The middle of the calzone was open and you could see inside. It was good...really good! And to my surprise the bell peppers I ordered on my calzone included pepperocini's, which are not the same as banana peppers, but close enough! The only negative thing I could say about my experience at Rosa's was that the calzone was a bit difficult to eat. Because it was hollowed out when you took off a piece it would tend to fall apart, where as normally the bread would hold it all together. I am grateful for this yummy establishment right around the corner from my house! read more

Really enjoyed my first visit at Rosa's. It's an order at the counter type place that also serves beer & wine. The pizza dough is excellent!!! Perfectly seasoned. It's a bit thicker than Fellini's crust, but thinner than Mellow Mushroom. A perfect bite! Be sure to get the meatballs on the pizza. They are spicy & spectacular. They are very generous with their toppings & all of them are above par tasty! I will definitely be back to try the calzones!! read more

This is one of the hole-in-the-wall pizza joints. The pizza quality is outstanding - the toppings are so fresh and tasty. Not sure how they pull that off. The pizza itself bakes up a bit on the greasy side but it is excellent. The crust itself - well it's thin crust but not so thin as to present itself as a saltine with toppings on it. The outer crust is good but always cooks up a bit too toasted for my tastes. The one real complaint I have is the lack of appetizers. There are none. They have a 'cheese bread' option but it's just a piece of sub bread seperated, topped with mozerella and butter and... well, burnt to a crisp. They really, really need to add some breadsticks or garlic knots or something. The restaurant itself tries to cater to the local sports moms and pops, but it's really too small for all the TV's in the place - good luck avoiding a neck sprain if you want to 'watch the game'. These sports types tend to get on my nerves so be warned - or thankful, whichever side you tend to be on. Summary - wonderfully flavored pizza at typical prices but a lack of appetizers frequently drives me away. read more

Soggy/limpy crust, cheese & toppings slid completely off. We even tried re-heating some in the oven to crisp it up but that didn't work, it's just a bad dough recipe with no flavor. Waaaay too many herbs either in the sauce or thrown on top. Tries to be NY style but really misses the mark - not even any semolina on the bottom of the crust!Cheesy bread was stale and zeppoli's are weird, dense, chewy dough balls with way too much powdered sugar. Rosas has become one of our sons favorite after baseball dinner locals and is a staple in our weekly dinner plans. The spaghetti and meatballs are delicious and the portions are huge! Wow, Obviously I have to go back here soon because I can't possibly use the expression "Best pizza I ever had" without going back there again to make sure. My wife and I went there for a lunch on a Saturday recently amid one of those rain deluges. Maybe that's why I thought the pizza was the best ever. My wife ordered a glass of wine and I ordered a beer and we ordered a Rosa's special which had italian sausage, pepperoni, onion, mushrooms, bell peppers and cheese. Since my wife does not like mushrooms or bell peppers we put those on half. The wine and beer was going down really good and maybe that's why i thought the pizza was the best ever. After a couple more glasses the pizza arrived. It was beautiful. I could not believe my eyes when i saw that it had red bell peppers and green bell peppers. I have never seen red bell peppers on a pizza. The first bite said it all: "this is the best pizza i ever had" my wife and I said to the waitress at the same time. This is one of our "regulars". I first had Rosa's when I worked downtown in the 90's. Good pizza by the slice for lunch. I moved away from Atlanta for a while, and was pleasantly surprised to find this new location when I moved back. I'm not a huge fan of pizza by the slice, because it usually has less sauce and almost always not enough cheese...and it is pre-made. Throw on toppings, heat it up, and eat. Not a great recipe for pizza lovers. Rosa's by-the-slice is pretty good. But I love this place because when you get a whole pizza, fresh out of the oven...it's heaven. I take my family here. And if they go out of town, it's the first place I go by myself. And I'll eat a whole pizza myself. read more

As a family we have been going to Rosa's for many years but the past few times we've been, and we probably go 3-4 times a month, the business is more interested in their Door Dash people than their dine in the restaurant customers. Tonight we stopped in for dinner, just 2 of us. the table next to us had a family of 3. I don't know how long they had been waiting for their food but eventually 1 person at that table was served, by the time the first person was served, the second person got their food, when they were done the third person got their food. We had a similar experience. We ordered a calzone, pizza slice, garlic bread and a piece of cheese cake. After quite some time, and the restaurant wasn't busy with dine in people, my husband got his calzone, he was almost done with it when the garlic bread came and eventually my pizza slice and i had to ask for the cheesecake. There seemed to be new people serving and people i'd never seen before in the kitchen. but the Door dash folks got their orders immediately. Even though a few years ago i had my debit card hacked there, at the exact time i was paying for our meal in georgia, evidently i was ordering the same dollar amount 3 times over at a pizza place in new york city! Eventually it worked out but to this day i always pay cash there but still kept coming, now i'm not so sure as the service was very poor this time. read more
