Living on the West Coast now, there's nothing I miss more than a perfect slice of NY pizza. The thin and crunchy crust. The balanced flavors of a proper tomato sauce. The perfect ratio of cheese. It just doesn't get any better. Anyway, our first night visiting the city we landed late and looked up open pizza spots in the neighborhood. Rosa's reviews and photos assured us it would be exactly what we were looking for. When we arrived there were three NYPD officers in line for pizza -- usually a good sign a spot will be legit. We went full glutton mode and tried four different slices + impulse bought some mozzarella sticks. It was way too much food for the two of us, but we wanted to try it all. It checked all the boxes and then some. As usual, the fried eggplant slice was my favorite. Service was friendly and even though there was a short line at around 11PM, it all moved fast. There's nothing fancy about this place, it's just really, really good pizza. We will definitely be back.

Pepperoni and Sicilian

Went on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm. It was super packed but still had some seats available. Food comes out quick. They have a good variety of toppings. My favorite is the lasagna slice. However the Sicilian and pepperoni are great as well. Don't sleep on the rolls either. Slices are around $4-5 each. Rolls are a bit more. Overall I think it's comparable to other pizzerias

Old school pizzeria....down to the slice. Yes, their Sicilian slice is the classic upside down slide. And to me it's pretty damn close to that famous upside down slice in Brooklyn (no need to mention names, IYKYK). Came in to bring back a pie home to the family and the Sicilian heats up at home the same way it would at the pizzeria itself. I also grabbed some garlic knots and they were exactly how I like them. Doughy, garlicky and cheesy! The staff behind the counter is always on their game. This visit, I asked for a slice while I wait for my pie, and I'm so glad I did. I was STARVING and my square slice was perfect for holding me over until I made it home. Do yourself a favor and be sure to stop in and grab something, whether it's a roll, a slice or a whole pie. This is some of the best pizza, not only in Ridgewood, but Queens itself.

Really disappointed of the system and how people organize at this place. The restaurant got tons of good reviews but not for me. Our party got food except me. They forgot my order and I have to follow up over three times still missed it. I had to go to the register to order my food again. The place has huge space of seating area so it looks like food court to me because self-service is the best even they have a server, LOL.

Riceball and fresh mozzarella slice

I think Rosa's deserves a 5 star. They're known for their upside down L&B style which is pretty good. Definitely a close cousin to its counterpart. The upside down square here is lighter than a standard Sicilian with a fresh tangy sauce that's layered over mozzarella. They also have at least 15-20 other specialty slices which are good. Riceballs, garlic knots, and beef patties in the classic slice joint. I'd recommend going with a fresh mozzarella slice with one of their upside down corner squares. Cant go wrong.

Way too load and annoying music. You can't hear what anyone is saying and they can't hear you. Slightly tortured as you eat your pizza. They have bear and seems the only one open late at night as you wait for your train. Pizza is good. I slightly like the pizza on 7th and 33rd-34th. Not sure if it's the same franchise.

But this pizza is fresh and satisfying, you can taste the homemade marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese. I prefer fresh not canned mushrooms but it did it's job today. The crust is crunchy and sturdy, built to handle as many toppings as you want, and oh, what a selection of specialty pies. In addition to pizza they have many options from pastas, to sausage, chicken, veal and lamb entrées, seafood dishes, heroes, burgers, wraps and paninis. Prices are reasonable, not assaulting like in the city. They also cater. Staff is friendly. Next time you're on a Queens pizza crawl or even driving home from the airport, be sure to take the quick detour to La Bella Mariella. Open till midnight Fridays and Saturdays, 11pm all other days. I called to ask what happened and he say how do I know they didn't put sorry or red sauce. I said because if you put red sauce I would see. This place really doesn't give a crap what they send to the customer and when they screw up it is like the customers fault. They either have people who can't read because lord knows they can barely speak English. Now I have no order from here in months because of this. But stupid me figure I would give them another try. And the owner promises next time but there is never a next time. Stay away go else where not worth the aggravation

The food was truly outstanding--authentic Italian cuisine prepared with care and served in abundant portions. The meal began with a fresh, delicious salad and a wonderful hot antipasto, followed by a generous main course featuring excellent meats and perfectly prepared pasta. The grand finale was an absolutely fantastic tiramisu that everyone raved about. What impressed us most was the way the entire staff handled our gathering with such professionalism, grace, and attentiveness. They made a difficult day much easier by bringing family and friends together to share memories and enjoy a beautiful meal in a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. Rustico Taverna is exactly what a great neighborhood Italian restaurant should be: exceptional food, plentiful portions, warm hospitality, and attentive service. We give them our highest recommendation and look forward to returning under happier circumstances.
