This place has the best pizza in the neighborhood and they're open late. Til 1 AM. They have a wide selection of pizza toppings premade. Bufflao chicken is my favorite along with the lasagna. They also have taco and many others to choose from, including Grandma's - also delicious!! Aside from the selection, their pizza tastes great. Right balance of crispiness in the crust with piles of toppings. Heaps and heaps of fresh ingredients. There's plenty of seating and a TV playing above if you want that too. I love Rosa's! They have excellent service and a wide variety of items on their menu. They have different daily selections on individual slices. My favorites are the chicken and tomato, Vodka sauce and BBQ chicken slices. Also if you buy a couple of pies, they will throw in free garlic knots. Whenever I crave pizza and happen to be in the neighborhood I make it an account to go to Rosa's Pizza. Their Caesar Salad Pizza is a must. It's always fresh and the pizzas are so diverse. Unfortunately they don't deliver but I'd gladly head to Rosas for lunch or dinner. It's a fast paced restaurant with lots of take out orders and dine in seating. Heard good things about the Grandmothers slice and they were correct. THe crust was light and crunchy like a pice of olive focaccia. The sauce was light but flavorful. The cheese was nothing special but worked with the combination. The highlight was the sliced oven roasted garlic on the slice. I will definitely be going back. Every staff member always takes care of me, and I don't think I've ever had a problem there. I LOVE Rosa's! Went there with my mom, who's been going there since she was 16. Their pizzas are delicious, and the sauce is to kill for. The guys there are also super nice and attentive. Even one of them threw out a quote from Clerks 2. You know how someone awesome is when they want to spout Kevin Smith quotes! That aside, the environment is nice. The Sicilian grandmother pie is a magnificent confection of garlic, parmesan and tomato that tastes even better the following morning. Service seems brusque but the gentlemen working the counter are indeed busy and will dole out an occasional freebie if they see you in there all the time. Been coming here for years, amazing pizza, by far the best pizza from a Rosa's and most of the staff is friendly except for the girl cashiers. One of the girls there took down my name incorrectly and instead of trying to help me she was rude and dismissive. Later on she realized her error and made a big deal about adding some garlic knots because I didn't say it when I called. I wasn't in a hurry but the cashier was definitely in a rush to get rid of me when there was no line. Seriously considering if I should go back here or not. Rosas Pizza still has that formula, and then some. There are a TON of favorite spots that Native NY'ers have, but Rosas is definitely on top. Every time someone visIts the city, they ALWAY'S ask , "where can we get good pizza?"..Rosas is ALWAYS the answer. Not only are their slices great, but so is their food. The staff for the most part are pretty nice and friendly, and if you're a regular they know your order. It can be a little weird for first timers since they are usually pretty busy and not efficient at how the "line" is set up. But jsut wait until they ask "Who's next!?"..gotta love that! Very rarely have I had to call a health department for such violations but if I don't who will. Besides if the Owners "brother" can be bothered with a call about this and can only hang up then lets see how the heath Department in NYC handles a complaint. A cashier handling cash and making food me thinks SKIEVE CITY. A cleaner wiping trays with a cloth used on tables and other surfaces and then placing these trays right next to food is just plain gross. Take the time to look up their past health violations and you may be like me and choose another place to order your next pie from. I've been eating at this pizzeria since moving up towards Fresh Pond over 6 years ago. This is real New York pizza at its finest. Unlike lots of other neighborhood pizza joints, this pizzeria offers practically every slice under the sun. You have your classic cheese slice and Sicilian. Then you have your veggie slice, grilled chicken caesar slice, taco slice, fried eggplant slice, baked ziti slice, lasagna slice, BBQ chicken slice, Buffalo chicken slice, margherita slice, grandma slice... You get the picture - the list goes on and on. The showcase alone spans about seven feet wide, give or take a foot (I never actually measured it on any of my visits, this measurement is pure recall). My favorites from Rosa's by far are the Sicilian slice, the margherita and their garlic knots! Mmm. Their sicilian, when cooked just long enough and not overbaked/burnt, is absolutely mouth-wateringly delicious. When baked perfectly, the crust is soft and doughy whilst still having a nice crunch and the tomato sauce is the perfect amount of tart and oh so gooey. The margherita slice is just as satisfying - the crust is doughy and beautifully complements the cheese and sauce. Rosa's really excels at putting out a wonderful pizza crust, which is what a pizza's quality should be judged on first and foremost. The garlic knots here are my all-time favorite garlic knots. A good garlic knot should have strong garlic flavor to the point where you would need to make sure you have breath mints or chewing gum on hand afterward to freshen up if you're in the company of others. Aside from aromatic garlicky flavor, a good garlic knot should be all about the bread quality. Freshly made, soft, pleasant to bite into and chew through till the end - not rubbery, hard or cardboardesque. Rosa's garlic knots are undoubtedly the former and rarely, if ever, the latter. My go-to is a Sicilian slice chased down by a couple of garlic knots shared with the BF. Rosa's is a certified Ridgewood landmark. read more

In my opinion, Rosas on Freshpond Road is by far the best pizza in New York. I have had plenty of pizza in my days, but none compare to Rosa's. Even with two other rosa locations very nearby, this spot takes the cake. When you walk into this location, there is a never ending showcase of different pizza, rolls, calzones, mozzarella sticks, knots, etc. My favorite slices would have to be: the upside down Sicilian (my go to), sfincione (my go to), rigatoni slice (my go to), their monstrous chicken rolls, taco slice, margherita slice (extremely good!!!), Ravioli slice (don't eat with your eyes - this is extremely filling), their two variations of salad slices, and their chicken bacon slice. Let's stop talking about the pizza for a second, they make awesome restaurant food as well. They not only have unbeatable prices, the portions are HUGE! Be ready for left overs. They just renovated the dining area, which gave it a nicer atmosphere. When I sit down to eat in the restaurant area, I tend to order their sea food pasta dish (don't know the name off the top of my head). When I order this I know I have lunch for the next day.
