I've been coming here for years. It's been a local favorite place for take out when I'm on this side of town. The food is very good, reliable, and consistent. The worker was nice and polite. I usually order a combination plate, but this time I also ordered the chilaquiles and a tamale on the side. I like their salsa and their tortilla chips were thin and crispy the way I like them. read more

Rosa's gets it done. Good quality, flavorful, fresh food with a home cooked feel that your tastebuds will thank you for. Oh, your belly will thank you too unless you fill it with too many delicious nacho chips touched up with spicy salsa. Save some room for the entree. What entree? You have so many to choose from. It's a Mexican restaurant so at this point, I'm making an assumption that you know what you're in store for as you peruse the menu. I'm going with the enchilada plate. When relatives come to town we treat them To ROSA'S our favorite place for any meal. Even if I could cook we would love going there. They treat us like family arriving and all smiles. The food is heaven on earth. The special care the chef gives every dish is truly blissful. He knows I love my pork tacos crispy and the taco sauce on the side. I haven't been here for n years and was on this side of town so I decided to stop. I checked YELP first to see if things had changed but there weren't many current reviews. I was really glad I stopped! I ordered the red chili plate and it was cooked to order. The entire meal was exactly as I remembered and it did not disappoint. The service was incredible and the view from the front window set the ambience of a relaxing meal at the beach. I almost felt like I was away on vacation in Mexico because it gave that kind of vibe. I had chips and salsa and meant to order guacamole but because I was dining solo I knew it would be too much food for me. The food was good and just what I needed! read more

Food smelled amazing and tasted just as good. The service is great as soon as you walk in you get seated and fresh tostada chips and salsa. The server Renee was very helpful and respectful and had a lot of information about the food there there's a plate that's called bubble special, which is just Carne Asada with lettuce and avocado and that's if you just wanna eat the kind of sauce it is a great place Apparently this gentleman is a Cuban and he always ask for that. They made part of the menu which was interesting so good not very hot but one of them is but the one that tastes like tomato reminded me of Mexico when I used to go across the border and eat taquitos. The ambience was nice. It's you can see cars passing by people passing by Redondo Beach. I do like this place. Where do I start?! Food, service, atmosphere, ALL AMAZING!! Upon walking in the first thing I noticed was how clean the restaurant was, even the restrooms were immaculate. We were immediately greeted by Rolando (our server) who we later found out was the owner! My husband ordered Asada Enchiladas and the meat tasted very high quality and fresh. I had the coctel de camarones and they were not skimpy on the shrimp at all! The shrimp were nice and big and there was plenty. My daughter had the kids quesadilla with rice and beans and as simple as the plate sounds it was so tasty! We ended our meal with their homemade flan that exceeded our expectations! Will definitely be retuning. Cannot recommend this place enough! read more

Wow! fresh food super authentic we here checking out the UCs for my dgtr and it's walking distance to Holiday Inn Hermosa Beach. U can park in the front or turn right on the corner the food was so fresh and plentiful even the fish plate was my fam got carnitas and enchiladas and the jugo drinks were also fresh they were open late too and our server was so amazing....i saw it's been open since 1954 or something coming from the bay i can seriously say this has been the most fresh and delicious mexican food we have had and there's plenty there so this is good read more

This local Mexican restaurant is located on PCH walking distance to the ocean. I came here on a Saturday night and it wasn't crowded at all and we were seated immediately. Everyone was super friendly and I think it was some of the fastest service I've experienced at a restaurant. They have a spacious interior with seating for large groups and a cozy ambiance. The menu is very large with a lot of customization and a lot of vegetarian options as well. I tried the cheese enchiladas combo that came with rice and beans. For $16, it was a large portion and filling meal and very tasty. They also provide tortilla chips and salsa for free. The only difficulty is parking since it's primarily street parking in the area, but the residential area nearby has free parking so it wasn't too bad! I've been coming here since I was a kid, when they were at their original location off of Catalina probably 40 years ago. I stopped going to Rosas after hearing about an owner change long ago, but that was a mistake. I started going back recently and have come to the conclusion that Rosas still serves the best Mexican food combos in the South Bay. All the entrees are on point and the chips and salsa are the best. It doesn't hurt that they are in the heart of Hermosa and carry that beach vibe inside. read more

Rosa's was very good. I had the taquitos my sons had tacos and I also had a side tamale. I liked that the chips were big huge tortillas and the salsa tasted good. I'm just going to get straight to it. I was craving fish tacos for about two weeks and I happened to be in the area of Rosa's so I stopped by to pick up some lunch. Food: Delicious! Everything was just prefect, food was great quality and tons of flavor. The portions were more than I expected, especially my fish taco was so big. Price: Very Reasonable, nothing to expensive. Everything was very well priced. Service: Covid-19 is definitely making things a bit tough for everyone but everyone here was so helpful and very welcoming. Take out and or delivery only, they have a great set up for picking up orders and placing phone or walk-in orders. I could be wrong but this definitely seemed like a family owned restaurant, I saw the staff and they all seem to work well together and having the young ones help while no school is in session. Location: Rosa's is located in a plaza right off the Main Street, parking can be a bit difficult but you can find a spot on the Main Street right out front. I truly enjoy a good Mexican spot with authentic Mexican food and this place is on my top list. Check them out and support small businesses. read more

This is my second review of Rosa's. We had our favorite dishes for lunch today--the Steak Fajita Burrito and the Carnitas Plate. Consistently great. I get carnitas most times at Mexican restaurants. My fiancé and I were in the area and craving Mexican food. So we tried Rosa's for the first time. We both had carne asada dishes that were the best we've had in a while. The ingredients tasted fresh and nothing was over seasoned. Huge plus that the food came out within 10 minutes after ordering. Finished plates also cleared immediately. And the staff was welcoming. Only subtracting a star because the ambiance is relatively basic, drink selection is limited and chips were tostada shells. Despite that I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Both locals and tourists seem to love this place. They are famous for their Birria offered in tacos, burritos and combo plates. We ordered breakfast burritos. The tortillas are made in house and are so very yummy. The All American breakfast burrito was a decent size burrito filled with bacon, sausage, eggs, cheese, and hashbrowns served with red and green salsa, which are both very fresh and tasty. For $2 order the guacamole sauce...so good! Chips are also fresh and made in house. If you are craving authentic Southern California tacos or burritos, be sure to stop by Tacos El Goloso, Hermosa Beach. I know there are other SoCal locations as well.

Because it was on the fries, I expected the sauce would be on the fries, but it wasn't. It had guacamole and sour cream on it. Just seemed too much sauce already on it to add the birria sauce. The birria, without the sauce, wasn't bad but ... I think any other meat choice would've been better for this dish. The tortilla chips are fresh! Very good! The service was good. Just know it's a very small space, order at the register and pick up. Not on par with the surrounding restaurants. Thus, 3 stars. But they do have a few electrical outlets, a few outdoor tables, and the prices are good! It's very reasonable.

The meat was tender, flavorful, and not fatty at all just perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. My daughter had the bean and cheese burrito with rice and beans and loved it too. They bring out three different salsas with the chips, and each one had its own unique flavor. You can tell the chips are house-made because they're fresh, crisp, and just really good. Some Mexican restaurants can make things overly salty, but everything here tasted balanced and fresh. I also had a Paloma and it was made perfectly. Before we left we decided to try the churros and I'm so glad we did. They were filled with this amazing cream and came with a caramel sauce for dipping. I'm not usually a big dessert person, but these were seriously incredible. Great location, great service, amazing food, and everything tasted fresh and well made. We will definitely be back!

When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and decided to sit outside, which felt perfect for a Sunday evening. We each ordered Orden De Tacos -- which is two tacos with rice and beans -- which seems simple enough. But after a while, we started noticing that people who arrived after us were ordering, getting their food, eating, paying, and leaving while we were still waiting. Again, all we had ordered was four tacos total, plus rice and beans. About 50 minutes after we placed our order, I finally got up to ask our waiter if he could check on our food because it had been such a long wait. If they were too busy (there were a lot of people, but not absurdly so), that's where communication could have gone a long way. Even just stopping by to acknowledge the delay or apologize for the wait would have made the experience feel very different. In the end, it took nearly an hour to get our four tacos from the time we ordered it, and the wait wasn't mentioned by staff at all. The food was okay in the end, but the experience definitely left us disappointed.
