Went out to the pier the other day. Got hungry and went to check this spot out. The birria is what stuck out because I'm a fan of it. Plenty of options to choose from. Birria Ramen, burritos, tacos, birria pizza!!, mulitas.I had the birria burrito. It was very good. The birria was moist and flavorful. I also had 2 hard tacos, also very good. Had a churro and a churro ice cream lol. All was good. I'll be back to try the ramen. The service was quick not much a wait. Nice to be able to grub and have a view of the ocean.

Stopped in here while at the pier needed breakfast. I had a breakfast burrito with chicken. It was really good size of the burrito was really good. My son got a chicken quesadilla with breakfast and it was really tasty too. I would definitely eat here again lots to choose from big vast menu typical Pure food. The service was very nice and the food came serve fast and hot.

Birria Tacos! This place is a slept on hidden place where you literally have to go onto the boardwalk pier at redondo beach. I came to try this place because I came across their menu and it looked great and now since then it became my favorite place to go get birria! The meat is so flavorful, smoky, with a bit of heat and then they got the melted oaxaca/mozzy cheese on the thin crispy homemade tortilla with their special green sauce. It's paired with some lime and their red sauce but the only thing is you must order the consommé on the side and their consommé is bommb! The service is quick and the wait time is not too bad and the ambiance is nothing too crazy, you can either sit there on one of the pier tables or take it to go. They also sell a variety of different foods as well, but I recommend to order anything from their birria menu and it will not disappoint you. Parking is meter or structure and its usually empty when you get to the restaurant. PS: THE CHURROS AS FIRE TOO!! Overall: 10/10

They have a wide variety of different kinds of snacks up to full on meals. Service was quick and friendly! They have ApplePay which is nice! Came for a mangonada & they are large. It's different with mostly ice cream and some frozen mangos but it was delicious.

The food was just delicious and well served. It's a great place to sit down and eat while you're on the pier. My wife and I went and enjoyed breakfast. We were treated very well by the owner and his family. I highly recommend going and enjoying good food and a beautiful view.

If you want the best Mexican food around LA, this isn't it. BUT this is probably the best food on the pier inside Redondo, given everything else is so touristy! Do you want crappy clam chowder, Americanized Asian food, or weak sandwiches, funnel cake, or ice cream? I don't haha. This food stand is fairly fast, fresh, and the employees are nice. Go for their birria tacos, burritos, birria nachos, and quesadillas! The owner said those are their best dishes. They have veggie options too. YUM. Their seafood is fresh. We got their whole fried fish (yum!) and shrimp plate. The shrimp was oddly in an overly sweet, thick red sauce like a cocktail sauce. I prefer authentic camarones but still not complaining being in a touristy area. Their fried ice cream was great, too! Note that it's a lot of styrofoam to-go so I felt bad about that...hope they switch to paper. Also this is really fast food only, so it's first come first serve at the 3-4 outside tables and no table service.

I've only ever ordered delivery from this place so imagine my surprise when I decided to take a look at a photo of the place and come to find it's a boardwalk shack/stand type restaurant. I was surprised because I would normally associate that with over priced basic fried foods but their food is actually pretty great. Also open very late so great for late night cravings after a night out or late night at work, which is usually when I order. The asada fries are super good and the salsa is great as well! The tamales are also surprisingly very good. Not every Mexican place that has good food has good tamales so it's always a question mark and although I've had some super dry ones sometimes, they're usually amazing! read more

What caught my eyes was the birria queso tacos on the menu, but when I saw the price it changed my mind. We are talking about $17 for 3 tacos. A bit steep so instead I went for the carne asada mulitas for more reasonable price. Fast service, but to be honest I wasn't digging the mulitas. Very bland flavor and the salsa didn't helped because it was watery. Was a little disappointed which didn't hit the spot. There were so many options on the menu, maybe I just didn't get a good item. read more

TLDR: great little spot at the pier, expansive menu, top tier customer service. Came to try this place per recommended, did not disappoint. A little tricky to find at first (my directions kept leading me to the parking lot), but there are a few tables outside which made it easier to spot. The food speaks for itself; that's probably my new favorite pepper. The birria was incredible - so soft, and tasted so yummy with the quesatacos. Thank you for such a pleasant experience, can't wait to come back! read more

This is a heartbreaking review because we were actually huge fans of this place and we're coming here almost every night. Today we got in line and we were going to order a churro Sunday and I was looking into the kitchen and I saw the cook open a sliding drawer, he reached in, grabbed the handful of raw chicken, threw it on the grill, wiped his hands on his pants and continue to cook And move around the kitchen without watching his hands. He wasn't even wearing gloves. We walked away and will never go back. Huge disappointment. read more

This is my favorite place to eat at redondo pier and it is the best Mexican food in the area. They truly know how to make the best Tijuana style birria that melts in your mouth and doesn't have any fat/parts that are hard to chew. They have the best birria tacos and enchiladas and the owners are very nice and the service is great read more

Bad service, there food is nothing what they have up. They rejected giving me my refund (did not have a sign up saying no refund) i asked for a esquite with hot cheetos, on the poster they have it in a cup like a regular esquite and hot cheetos crumble. they gave me a whole bag of whole hot cheetos with a bit of esquite on top, WHAT?! mind you they forgot about my order and had me waiting there 20 min plus, couldnt give me my refund because "you guys made it already" you guys LITERALLY JUST MADE IT! never going back read more

This is a an outdoor restaurant on the Redondo Beach Pier. You order at the window. The servers bring you your food. There is not a lot of seating, but there are other places to find a spot on the pier. We ordered the shrimp burrito. It wasn't a giant burrito, but a good size. The sauce inside was delicious. The chimichanga burrito had carne asada meat and was huge! This burrito was also very tasty! Both burritos come with a side of chips, salsa, and lemon wedges. I am giving this place a 4 because the chicken tenders were very dry and hard to eat and came with a side of fries. Overall the service was great and the food was the most authentic/delicious Mexican food I've had in a long time! I cannot wait to go back and try more things on the menu! Unfortunately wasn't able to get any pics of food! We were all too hungry! read more

Super disappointed with the funnel cake. Ordered a number 2 which clearly has whipped cream and chocolate drizzle and paid additional for a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Paid $14 and change. Waited a while and then upon opening it at the pier to eat across the establishment it was supper soggy and it had strawberries. I made myself eat half of it to get my money's worth. Cake wasn't crunchy it was soggy and the strawberries tasted old. Ice cream had a weird flavor as well. read more

I got to say--- I'm not mad about it! Other eateries at the Redondo Beach Pier looked busy so we moseyed over to this humble establishment further away for some tacos. I ordered two asada tacos and my partner in crime ordered three fish tacos. Everything was eaten. Happy tummies. I personally liked the flavor of the asada tacos and that it was a generous serving of meat. The tacos only come with one taco shell, so be mindful because while you're eating, it could fall apart. Nonetheless, I enjoyed smothering the red sauce over it all and pretty much inhaling my food, HAHA. Happens! read more

Ordered funnel cake with strawberries came out extremely soggy. Replaced with plain and this is not what a funnel cake looks like the middle dough does not looked fully cooked on the inside. And outside is hard and soaked with grease. I asked for refund they denied at 13 dollars this is not worth it. Tasted a piece since I could not get my money back and it taste like it's made in old oil. read more

Food is absolutely amazing. Churros are great and made fresh to order. Tacos are even better. I got the birria tacos many times. They also have icecream. I really love this place. The service is very nice. And the location could not be better. I love Redondo pier. It's a fun and lively location on the weekend. read more

BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything we got was sooo good! We went there after a night out. It was open late and they made the food fast. It was so good we ordered more the next morning and had it delivered to our house. And it was just as good the next day. read more

While walking around Redondo Beach pier, my good college friend and yelp buddy Mary Ann V. and I saw El Cinco De Mayo and decided to grab a quick lunch. You order up front and then basically you wait for your order at the counter. The food is made to order and you can watch as they make your order.The place is small with a few tables inside and some outside. The tables inside have a nice window view of the ocean. We chose to split carne asada fries which are around $12 including tax. The carne asada fries consist of shoestring fries, along with small strips of carne asada and sour cream. They have hot sauce available on the side. Overall the carne asada fries were ok but nothing too special. They're good for a quick and casual meal. read more

The birria tacos are pretty good but price doesn't make it worth it in my opinion. I wish I could it a 3.5 because it was good but there are other places that are cheaper. If you are in the pier already and want this it may be a good option but I wouldn't go out of way to come here. It's also not a great sit down and eat option it's a hood in the restaurant with a couple of benches that are outside. Service was kind but I felt like I over paid read more

Tacos are a past time for me. So if you haven't stumbled here after a couple Fire Chiefs you're doing it all wrong.. best Birria in the Southbay - maybe the earth. Burrito bomb, tacos legendary. Get yourself the consome on the side so you lube up your beef before you put it in your mouth box like a true gentleman. Oh yeah, eat it on one of the outside tables like a savage because food like this doesn't deserve to wait before reaching esophagus status. Stay hungry friends read more

We come here for the Birria. Consome and Ramen are the best. Soup style is way to go as Birria can get dry. Great little place with fast service. Also great for people watching. They have an extensive menu so you can try different Mexican dishes. read more

Tried the veggie burrito and it was pretty good. It would have been better with some hot sauce but nothing del scorcho wont fix lol. It was also a reasonable size. I got it without the cheese and cream to make it vegan. If you are on the pier and are looking for vegan options you can try it out :) read more

I am an absolute fan of this place. The service here is top notch and it being by a beautiful pier/beach is everything. I barely know where to get started with the food but the birria is to die for. It's rich, salty, hearty with the beef. The cheese that comes with it makes it a very hearty meal with a delicious Jarritos on the side. They also have an esquite that will fulfill your mexican snack needs. Shout out to shorter older gentleman with a slight hunch ( no offense) but he is the sweetest because he brings it out the food to you and pops the soda cap in front of followed by "enjoy". That thought makes me want to go back all the time. read more

As strange as it is, Redondo Beach Pier (literally almost at the end of the pier) has amazing birria tacos. I only get them when there is some Redondo beach pier event like the kite festival today and oh my god, i forgot how good the quesotaco de birria are. Deep fried tortilla goodness with a green guac sauce and crunchy onions topping a nice amount of juicy birria meat. I can gobble down 3 without lifting my head up. The pepper on the side is always a nice surprise, cause i forget they include it and i love it. It's so inconvenient to go there on a random day unless you plan a nice day out at the pier,walk around get some birria tacos, funnel cake or churros, and walk off all the goodness along the beach. And service is great, always good to eat from a place that has happy people working. Thank you!
