Poor service. I called and asked for crushed red pepper, and they said they would add it to the order. When the delivery driver showed up, I asked him for the pepper, and he said it was in the box. Definitely not coming to Rossatis again! We had a terrible experience yesterday when we ordered an 18 inch pizza and we got a 16 inch pizza. To make the story short we didn't realize until we got home. I asked my husband to check the box and sure indeed it was a 16. He called and asked to remake it and the guy was insisting on giving us a 12" and we said no just make the 18" we ordered that we got charged that. My husband went to go pick it up an the cook came and was requesting for us to give back the 16" we didn't since we already had touched it. He kept arguing with my husband saying I don't understand why u can't just take the 12". He told him it's the principal it's customer service. You messed up and you have to fix it. We order from here frequently, food is always good and consistent. My previous review had 5 stars but I've gone down the 3 due to the delivery service... the last 4 times we've ordered delivery we have specified "no contact delivery" and I also make a note to leave at side door. Each time the driver disregards our request, if we don't have sleeping baby and dogs that bark whenever someone knocks Will wake up the sleeping baby... it's super frustrating!! And it says right on the receipt "no contact delivery- leave at side door"! What is the point of even offering this option if the driver doesn't pay attention to it..... for the record, it's been a different driver each time, so it's not their fault but maybe they need to be trained to pay attention to the receipt so they know what the customers are asking! read more

Have been a customer all my life. Within the last 6 months, continuous recent orders consisted of: 1: A burnt pizza 2: A 1/2 cheese, 1/2 pepperoni pizza that somehow got sausage added to it (never ordered sausage) 3: A 1/2 pepperoni, 1/2 italian beef & green pepper pizza that had green olives rather than green pepper. For #3, I had someone from out of town visiting and wanted to show them "the best pizza they'd ever had"... Fucking big mistake to order from Rosatis. Who mixes up green pepper and green olives? Yet, who orders green olives with italian beef? Nobody. I walked in to place this order. Spoke extremely clearly. Am always a very generous tipper. Why didn't I call or take the pizzas back? BECAUSE I WAS HUNGRY... And because I've been a customer here for so long, I figured mistakes happen. I very rarely ever complain about food or return food - instead I just don't return. Well, now I'm sitting here about to order a pizza and thinking if it's worth my money and time to gamble and roll the dice with Rosatis and their seemingly incompetent 2020 staff.... ? Not really. Now, I'm not sure if everyone died from Covid and they are short-staffed this year, or what.. Maybe it's the simple fact that the high-school stoners of yesteryear made far better pizza than the little facebook junkies of today. Who knows. 120 McHenry they changed the crust, the cheese tastes funny now and they way cut down on toppings. one mushroom one green pepper per slice lol. The change in ownership has really let the customers down. The delivery charge is outrageous even if close still have to pay $4 with tip you're paying $9 to get it delivered and on a $18 pizza that's insane. How anybody can say this pizza is good is beyond me. We haven't had a good pizza place in years. No authentic Chicago pizza in this town. read more

With the amount of pizza places in the area, this is our #1 go to place!! The staff is very accommodating with all of our needs, and I'm a picky person so I always have a lot of requests! I think out of the hundreds (literally) of times I've ordered from here, there was just one mess up on my order, and I called right away, and they offered to fix it and bring the new food back out, or to give me a credit for next time. I understand people are human and mistakes are sometimes made, but to order from a place that also understands that and is always willing to make it right, makes ordering from a place like this all the better! Rob, the general manager, runs that store like a very well oiled machine. It's always super clean and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend the lasagna with meat sauce and meatballs, the chef on garlic bread with a side of red sauce, and any and all of their pizzas! I can't wait to try more dishes from here! How does a Chicagoland eatery screw up an Italian beef sandwich? Ask Rosati's in McHenry. Their dry, chewy, slightly gamey and extremely salty sandwich made me instantly regret my purchase, and wish I'd just gone to Portillo's. Don't get me wrong, they can do pizza, but their Italian beef is embarrassing. For almost $7, it needs to be better. And their service isn't all that great either. I ordered the Italian beef with sweet peppers on it, never got the sweet peppers. Boy, could it have used those sweet peppers! I ordered a 2 liter of Cherry Pepsi with my order, did not get the Pepsi. They had to come back to fulfill the rest of my order. And that's not the first time "I'll be right back!" has happened. While I love Rosati's, I highly suggest not ordering from this store. My neighbor once ordered a well done pizza, but received a under cooked pizza. When he called in, he got cussed out and hung up on. 2 nights ago, I ordered and made a VERY simple order. Once my food arrived, I noticed I was my mozzarella sticks, and the sauce inside my dough nugget boxed looked like it was shook around.. barely any sauce left in the actual cup. I want to write a good review so bad because the food really is good but the service here is so god awful that it's not worth it. I always get felivery since it's hard to get there and even though I go over my order multiple times to make sure it's right, the order is always messed up. I tried calling about the incorrect order to come up with a solution and instead got yelled at by the manager saying "You still got food didn't you?" I've never been so insulted in my life. All of that over asking for a simple refund of a messed up pasta order for only $8. I've officially given up trying with this location and instead opt to drive to Crystal Lake to pick up. this location lied to us and charged us for what was supposed to be a Free replacement pizza. They messed up an order about a month ago and forgot an ingredient we paid for. When we realized we did not get any sausage, we called them. they agreed that it did not make sense to bring out a pizza right away as we were eating the one they messed up before we realized it was missing the sausage. they offered a free replacement credit on our account. when we went to use that free pizza credit they charged us $10 to use it!!! never heard of such nonsense. just a way for a business to rip off long time customers! read more

We were craving Italian food for dinner and decided to try Rosati's. The food arrived in good time but there was nothing fresh about it. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs dinner which came with garlic bread and salad. The salad... whew. Honestly it looked like it came out of a bag. If I had wanted salad from Jewel with a couple of tomatoes tossed in and dressing out of a to-go packet, I could've done that myself at home. Half the greens were bruised and brown. The garlic bread looked like it had been cooked that morning and possibly reheated in the microwave; it felt soggy in the middle and tough and chewy around the edges. Flavor was alright but not enough to make up for the lack of freshness. The spaghetti didn't seem fresh either. What I make myself at home actually tastes better. Maybe it was just old and reheated, like the bread. The sauce was strange in that I could taste something fresh and delicious in it (spices maybe?) but the actual sauce seemed, again, old and reheated. You know when your spaghetti sauce has sat in the fridge and the water starts to separate? That's how it was. Same with the meatballs. It had potential but it just seemed stale. Today I was feeling like an Italian beef, so I called up Rosati's for a pick-up order. When I got there, the man working told me that they overcooked my sandwich, so he was making a whole new one, because he wanted it to be as tasty as it could be. The food here is decent. But the management is short sighted. Walked in to place my order. Looked at the menu and saw some coupons on the menu, score! Then they say I can't use the coupons because they want them to be used on a future visit! That is seriously low class...here is this thing, it is a cool thing, but you are not allowed to use it. Ordered up baked mostaccioli, baked lasagna, salad, breadsticks and a cheese pizza. Guy on the phone told us to ask about a calendar when we got there for 10% off the order. I show up and do just that and the owner/manager/boss is NOT happy. Apparently this isn't how it works. He's a bit rude, tells me how it's supposed to work, but then apologizes for being rude. Probably just frustrated with his employees for getting it wrong. The fact that he recognized he was being tough made up for it, plus it made me feel like I was in an old timey Italian Chicago hole in the wall. That's right...I kinda liked it. Get home with the goods and my mom says, "Where's the cheese pizza?" They forgot it. Call them back and they drive 10 miles to the house to deliver it without question. So how in the heck does this place get 4 stars after all that? The baked lasagna. WOW. It's...magical. I kept going back for more. My brother-in-law did the same. We both remarked on how good it was. You have got to be friggin kidding me. I waited for 50,minutes from the time I placed an order for lasagna and a rack of ribs. Requested light sauce and have never had so much sauce slopped on ribs before. Last time I ordered ribs you happily charged me for a full rack but sent me home with a half. Called the manager(who didn't want to be bothered talking to me, thanks Rob, very unprofessional) but made sure I knew that he was offended by my complaint. Fine. DO NOT PURCHASE GIFT CARDS: On December 22, 2021, I stopped in the McHenry IL location to purchase a gift card for my brother. I advised front counter employee Joy that it was for my brother in Indiana. Joy stated the cards were only good for the store I purchased them from. I advised Joy that this was not a gift certificate/coupon and a plastic gift card should apply to all Rosati's locations. Joy went in the back room and returned stating the cards are now able to be used at any location. I purchased the card for $25. My brother in Indiana told me his Rosati's in Carmel IN would not accept it. The manager only accepted a 12 digit code and the one I purchased was 16 digits and needed a pin number. My brother even showed him the $25 balance on the Rosati's website. On December 27, I spoke with front counter employee Lisa at the McHenry IL location and explained the above situation. Lisa asked me for my credit card last 4 digits and would have the district manager contact me on December 28. I advised Lisa to just credit back my card the $25 since this has put me in an embarrassing situation with my brother. I did not receive any contact from the district manager, so I called McHenry store back on January 3 and spoke to the store manager Jason. He remembered my gift card issue and asked for all the info on my receipt. He stated he would look into the matter. As of January 6, I have not received any resolution to this issue. Guess I'll purchase a gift card from one of their competitors hassle free after Rosati's credits back my money. read more

Was nothing special. Ordered almost $100 worth of carry out for a party. The crust was plain and given to the dog, the pizza was nothing to rave about and the pasta was 60% sauce .... went in to pick up the order; the parking lot is awfully small and it's at a bad intersection to get in and out from. The building itself it's old and run down. With all the pizza options in town I wouldn't choose this one. read more
