Had a medium pizza for take out. Simple cheese with mushroom. Took it home and it was hot and the crust was cooked well, very light char and had a good bite to it. Not a lot of sauce or cheese but proportions were fine. Pizza was ready on time when I came for it. Overall a decent pizza, average, not spectacular, but it was solid for take out and for the price. For me, this pizza is just okay. Compared to many other pizza places around, Rosati's is on the cheaper side, particularly for their catering packages. However, the preparation isn't as addictive to me as other options possibly because the combination of the cheese and dough is a bit more firm instead of gooey, or there's not as many herbs and spices as I can get at other locations. With that said however, this is still a solid and filling choice for food and their jumbo slices are a convenient way to get a cost efficient meal. read more

Many years ago the Rosati family progeny of the four old guys seen on every Rosati's menu had some kind of breakup. Now there are two chains with the same name: myrosatis.com and rosatispizza.com. I've tried pizza from franchises of both and they are not the same; Northbrook is better. Last night I ordered a mushroom 18" thin crust 15 minutes before they closed. The guy took the order no problem and even stayed open late to make sure I got my pizza fresh. It was hot and tasty when I got home. And the people at the restaurant were pleasant and courteous. The location is carry-out only and the staff seem like they actually care about their customers. I recommend them highly! read more

Generous portion sizes for 'pizza by the slice.' Surprisingly, the meat lovers was not my favorite - the bacon parts are too much. Sausage bits are too tiny to be crispy; It's just hard. This place can be a good choice for pizza, but overall I've had better. I ordered a 16 inch pizza with half sausage and half pepperoni. I also tried the dough nuggets and mango habanero wings. The delivery was great and timed well. The pizza was a thin crust, however I would have liked it thinner for my preference. It was crispy and good amount of cheese and toppings nonetheless. I enjoyed the sauce with it having a zesty flavor. The dough nuggets were delicious and my favorite from the order. It had a great crispiness with an almost funnel cake texture with delicious garlicky butter. Highly recommend to try something that truly represents the place. The wings however I did not enjoy. I ordered mango habanero sauce and it had bbq sauce on it instead. It just doesn't compare to other great wings I've had and it came with the wrong sauce. Overall, the dough nuggets are definitely worth a try and the pizza is pretty good too. I would try it again if I wanted a generous topped pizza and something late night. read more

I ordered a large pizza with 2 toppings, mozzarella sticks and wings on a Friday night. I was given an estimated 45 min wait time. 1 hour and 15 minutes later I received my food. Everything was cold-it actually needed to go into the oven! The pizza was completely dry and tasteless BEFORE I reheated it, so you can imagine how it turned out after warming it. I've ordered many Rosatis pizzas and menu items from other locations and always been satisfied. My first experience eating at Chicago deep dish. I ordered a "double crust" without really knowing what that meant. 1 hour and $30 later an approximately 20 lb pizza arrived at my hotel room door. I'm not kidding, it was that heavy. Being from the South I had never seen a pizza with the sauce on top, I was worried they'd gotten my order completely wrong. Everything was fine and my worries were unfounded. Pulling a piece out revealed sauce, a thin layer of crispy crust, with delicious onion, bell peppers and quality sausage sandwiched between a thicker bottom layer of crust. This pizza was so substantial I was only able to finish half of a single piece. I would not order again without having an refrigerator because I ended up wasting so much of the pie. It could have fed 8 people comfortably. I would absolutely order again in a much smaller portion. read more

They use fresh ingredients but the sauce is rather bland and the dough on the deep dish was not as crusty as I'd like. I have had their thin crust in the past and that crust is better. I have no clue how the food is here. Just saw an ad for this location in a magazine, which said they deliver to Highland Park and Highwood. Now, I thought that was pretty good as there are not a lot of great pizza choices in the area. Called and placed an order and was told 45 minutes. About 20 minutes later received a call from the store asking to confirm my address. I was then told that they don't deliver here as there is a 5 mile radius. When I questioned their ad saying they deliver to Highwood, he said it was a misprint. He also said my location was 11 miles from his location. So when I mapped it, I am 7.9 miles from there. Downtown Highland Park is 6 miles. No apology. Just straight forward "it was a misprint." Bunk. Lousy training of their people. Lousy customer service. So yeah, Meh I've experienced better about sums it up. I had a slice of pizza and an Italian Beef sandwich. The za was ok, hand tossed so it was kind of in btw thick and thin. Same quality as about Jake's pizza across the street, and exactly $0.22 more in price at Rosati's as opposed to $3 including tax for a thick piece at Jakes. I came here b/c my coworker mentioned that the Italian Beef was "good". Well, it was pretty good....but so are the ones I make in my crockpot at home. $7,00 gets you a beef with cheese, basket of fries and a can of pop. Not too bad of a deal if you love starch and lower quality food. Let's face it, the fries were a massive portion, but def were frozen before going into the fryer. I'm guessing that was the case with the beef too. Rosati's for me is probably an afterthought to all the other awesome pizza and hot dog places that make better beefs in the area. read more

The first time I went into this place, I thought their pizza was amazing! The second time I went in, they over cooked the pizza. It was dry and hard to eat. I was disappointed because when they make it correctly, the pizza is great! I had stuffed mushrooms and jalapeño poppers from this location as well, both were delicious! Garlic bread was just a bun that they use for an Italian beef sandwich with garlic and cheese on it. A little bland, and smaller than I would have expected. I took this Rosati's and Piero's for a mid-day, mid-week "test drive" -- A slice of plain pizza from each. Nothing spectacular or particularly tasty about Rosati's sauce/cheese.
