The food here is pretty good. They always have pizza slices (cheese, pepperoni & sausage) ready to go, if you want a quick bite. I really liked the Three Cheese penne pasta. It was warm and tasted delicious. Something that could've been better would be the service. I mean I waited in the lobby for about 10 mins alone before someone greeted me and asked about my order. They don't really pick up the phone, so expect to wait a little.

Ordered pizza for pickup: one with mushroom and onion, one with sausage and onion, and a cheese calzone. The mushroom and onion instead came with mushroom and sausage. I had been planning to share that pizza, but am vegetarian. We called to inform them of this mistake and were told they would only fix it if we drove back with the original pizza (as they said "otherwise we would just eat the two pizzas") and pick up the new pizza. I'm not sure why they couldn't send a delivery person with the new pizza and have them take the one that was incorrect. Also, the calzone was over-cooked and did not contain much cheese - pictures attached.

Ordered Alfredo with Toast points, Fried Mushrooms, and Calzone. The mushrooms and Calzone were terrific. The Alfredo was a disappointment though. Floppy toast points with unseasoned Alfredo hidden under a mountain of Parm. I need some seasoning and flavor. Over all it wasn't a bad night but that Alfredo needs some work. read more

Walked in to pick up my food I had ordered over the phone and saw the workers preparing the pizzas with bare hand no gloves when I told the cashier it was very unsanitary she raised her voice stating they wash their hands . I'm reporting to the health inspectors as well that's very unhealthy and gross. It smelled horrible and very hot the ladies had their hair everywhere was not put up nicely with a hair net on . I've begun touring the Pizza delivery scene of late, and I must say that Rosati's is consistently tasty regardless of location, and they do contact-free delivery! The boneless wings were a-ok! And the cheese pizza has just that exactly perfect point where it's not too hot to eat and doesn't drip if you fold when you NOM. If you're looking for a reliable go-to for thinner-crust pizza that doesn't crackle but isn't sog when you bite, this is your jam! read more

One of the only pizza spots that's open late. Had a missing mozzarella sticks on a previous order a few days ago and they have a sign on the door that asks you to review your order to make sure nothing is missing. Every time the pizza is great. The breaded mushrooms are just how they're supposed to be. This pickup place is clean and fast. Staff is friendly... Once they even drove up to the house to deliver a part of an order I forgot to take with. Seriously they really work on customer satisfaction. We especially like the sauce on the pizza. It's something good. The toppings are generous. Especially love how the whole tomatoes are prepared in a way that doesn't disrupt the crust consistency in any way. That takes some skill. We really enjoy ordering from here. read more

Well, since I'm already working super late anyway, I may as well review the joint that fueled our frantic project-testing session tonight. Rosati's hit the spot with everyone. We liked the thin-crust pizza, which is just the right amounts of cheesy and saucy, and reminds me a lot of Edwardo's, which we used to get catered when our office was in Skokie. I got a calzone for myself, and it was pretty solid, let's say a B. It was HUGE, maybe the biggest I've seen, and it wasn't 30% crust around the edge like some others. It was a very plain, bland crust, but it was cooked just right with a good chewiness. The fillings were satisfactory, the sauce was great, and the sauce/cheese/fillings ratios were all just right. In fact, let me say B+ on the calzone. I found a coupon for $18.99 for an 18" two-topping, plus a liter of soda. The 18-incher is a very large pizza, so this could feed three hungry people or four who just want to snack. Pretty good deal. There is another coupon, same story but $16.99 for a 16". Actually, their flyer has a ton of different coupons, including "Budget Busters" to feed 20-25 persons for $120. They have a full menu of all the usual Midwest-Italian suspects. Thumbs up on the service, because the guy was very patient in trying to find our building in this dementedly labyrinthine suburban office park. And my phone was running out of battery to boot. Viccino's is still our favorite in the area, but I'd order from Rosati's again. read more

This small shop is located on a strip mall. We usually order the meatball sandwiches or the double dough cheese (or sausage) pizza for pick up. If we're feeling lazy, we get our food delivered in less than an hour and it is still hot. So far so good. Love the food! read more

The thin-crust pizza from here is amazing. Last time though I decided to order the fried chicken and ribs. I did not like the chicken at all (especially the breading). The ribs were not that good either. I ended up throwing mostly all of it away. It did come with 2 big bags of fries which were really good. Other than those 2 things, everything else is very tasty. The Chicago sampler is great and the pizzas are so delicious. Service is also fantastic and quick delivery. read more

Established in 1964.

Rosati's Pizza is one of the oldest surviving family pizza restaurant businesses in the U.S. In 1927, Saverio Rosati opened a restaurant downtown Chicago that became a favorite watering hole for the old Chicago society and Windy City politicians. On any given night you might spot Jack Haley, the "Tin Man" in The Wizard of Oz, enjoying a hearty helping of homemade Italian specialties or notorious gangster, Al Capone and his entourage sharing a heaping dish of pasta with his so called "nemesis", Eliot Ness. In 1964 when Saverio retired, his sons Dick, Ron and Al opened the first Rosati's Pizza in the Illinois suburb of Mount Prospect. By 1978, ten Rosati family members owned carryout pizzerias. Now with the Rosati name firmly established in the Chicago suburbs, generations have grown up with the brand and continue to spread it to every corner of the country. Whether dine-in or take-out, I always had a great experience and was treated well by staff. While the food here was great---soy garlic wings, udon noodle soup, buns and the japchae noodles were just as delicious as Chinatown, the customer service left much to be desired. I'm thinking it could be busier if it were more welcoming. Meh.

There were 7 tables occupied, including us. The music that they had was not too loud, just that customers' conversations were amplified by the box shape open dining area. If we focused enough, we could hear every conversation if we wanted to. This was obvious when a table of about 6 women got seated at a table near the front door, some of them laughed and talked very loudly. My husband and I just found it funny and didn't let that bother us. However, when the restaurant is filled on busier days, it might be a different story. Our server, Patrick, was very nice and attentive. Since they did not list drinks on their menu except those with alcohol, I asked him about non-alcoholic drinks. After a brief "discussion", he asked me to leave it to him to make me a drink with mango. He came up with a beautiful drink that was good and refreshing, with some mango flavor. It was Virgin Paloma on our receipt for $8, which was reasonable. He was very polite and checked in on us several times at appropriate times during our dinner. The pace of the dinner was good, we spent a total of an hour and 15 minutes in the restaurant. Patrick might be the only waiter serving all the tables that evening, though. I also ordered Grilled Octopus ($22) which was very good, tender and flavorful, but was a little too salty to my taste. The small pita bread wedges were warm and fluffy with some crispy edges, the beet hummus was creamy, and everything was delicious and tasted fresh. I generously shared 2 little bites of octopus with my husband and I finished the entire plate, it was so good! My husband really liked his Spiked White Fish ($29) and I shared a bite of that too. He also had a House Salad for $6, that was a very good value. He enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc Crossing ($12) too. We also shared an order of Crème Brulee ($8), that was creamy and cooked perfectly. We ordered a takeout order of Rigatoni with Sausage ($23), that was a good portion, and was still delicious and al dente the next day after being microwaved. I am so happy that we found Social Inn - a hidden gem in Plaza del Prado, it's not far from home, with comfortable and beautiful ambiance, excellent service (from Patrick), an attractive menu with enticing food (fresh ingredients and appealing plating), and reasonable prices, we will definitely be back!

Pretty disappointing. So, our family is in the restaurant business and we are some of the more empathetic people out there (and have some spirited opinions about yelp btw), that aside we just had one of the most remarkably awful experiences with this restaurant that we order from every week on Fridays or 3/4 weeks on Fridays. I placed the order, as I always do... This time I placed it via the phone directly with the restaurant instead of via GrubHub. Usually an order that totals between $60-$75 including the good tip for the driver... I was asked for my address four times after being put on hold twice for a total of 3.5 minutes and after reluctantly excepting the order, replete with credit card etc. - we, three children five years old and under waited... 45 minutes later we were contacted by the restaurant asking for a address again, or accused of lying about her address and then were told that we would have our order canceled. Again, keep in mind that we have ordered from this specific restaurant for years -- nearly every Friday... when my wife called, she was told by the person on the phone that the order had been canceled. My wife was confused and naturally asked for the manager who told her that she should feel free to post a review on yelp and he really "doesn't care what it says, good luck!". Really just hurt, feel really underappreciated and beyond everything else-really disappointed that we won't be able to order from this venue ever again. Roughly $2500-$3000 a year is what we mean to this restaurant... Our family, and we were really huge evangelists of Rosati's's prior to this... For over 4 decades (our families). read more

They're good and they're open late. The service is to the point and friendly. They also provide bilingual service in English and Spanish. The man who serviced me was Hispanic. I would guess both he and the Hispanic man he was servicing before me were fluent in Spanish, and I don't know Spanish, but his English was flawless. If you want good pizza fairly late at night, these guys are solid. They got other stuff, such as hot dogs and sandwiches, but I just go there for pizza. I forgot that I was entitled to a soda, the lady that gave me the pizza reminded me and gave me one. I thought that was a really nice touch. One thing to keep in mind is that this place is carry-out and delivery only. I am not going to take any stars away for the silent, depressing waiting environment Rosati's has because they don't even pretend to have a dine-in option. You basically wait in a tiny cramped area, perhaps by sitting on one of the two gaudy pink plastic-wrapped chairs, you get your food you get out. But I mean who cares? The food is good, they're nice enough, no harm done. As long as you're not out to propose to your girlfriend in here, you should walk out satisfied. read more
