Left the review on Google. Left them one star. I called them place an order and was told I could not pay for it in person when I arrived. They did not explain to me any reason for it they just told me no we won't do it. I was driving at the time so could not read off my credit card number to the person on the phone who was a bit surly. I get it places have bad nights and people have bad days but........ Here is the reply I got from the owner at least that's what it says on Google. Response from the owner 4 hours ago "Stop lying bud we love cash. We take all payments over the phone for people we don't know because too many people don't come get their food. None of us had never had Rosati's in the past and decided to try it. We ordered two 16" pizzas from the Shea location and had them delivered. Spent roughly $70 with a tip. YES $70!!! I'm fine spending that amount if the pizza is high quality, but this was far from it. The crust is the worst. Just looking at it you can tell it's mass produced somewhere and shipped to the locations; perfectly symmetrical circles, with crust edges that have a machine made braided pattern on the underside, NO BUBBLES, and TASTELESS. I realize that maybe I shouldn't judge this place based on 2 pizzas, but I am because they were that bad. read more

We've ordered from this location before and it has been hit or miss. On Sunday it definitely was a disaster. I ordered a 14" pizza and combo sandwich without bread. The pizza tasted a day old and the combos beef and sausage were overcooked. The sausage actually looked like it had been reheated a few times before ending up in my combos. I order delivery which we all know can be inconsistent, cold, toppings are missing, over cooked, under cooked, you pay for an extra topping and you get the same as if you didn't pay extra...ugh we have all been there. I can say after 5 delivery pizzas they have all been HOT and as ordered!!! It also doesn't turn hard as a rock the next day. I will add that I don't even like pizza and only order it for my kid. I've written a follow up over a decade later to tell you not to eat here. In 2022 there are two Rosati's chains in AZ, identical in name, similar in offering, but under different ownership with a significantly different recipe. There's articles about it out there; not making it up. Avoid ordering pizza from this 116th location, or any of the locations owned by this group. Their recipe simply pales in comparison to the pizza at Shea and Scottsdale Rd (and the shops owned by that group). The pizza at 116 is like a 2-flavor piece of cardboard compared to the pizza from Shea & Scottsdale, which is the hot spicy salty gooey crunchy greasy smack my Chicago-bred palette truly desires. Let me make this clear: I deliberately avoid delivery from a location 6min from my home and drive myself 15 minutes each way to avoid the food from here. Simply awesome! We moved into the neighborhood at 130th and Shea in July of 2008 and we've seen this pizza place go from okay to amazing over the years. We just received another amazing, perfectly cooked, pizza tonight. It arrived hot and generously appointed. The sauce is savory and tangy, not sweet and lacking seasoning like most of the competition. Their sausage is worth trying, with ample thyme flavor. Wings beat everyone in the area, too. Take a look... we rarely make Yelp comments... this is a genuine nod that we felt was important to get out there to our community friends. Enjoy! I was born and raised in the suburbs right outside of Chicago. Moved out here about a year ago. This was the best Chicago style I've had out here and closest thing to pizza in Chicago. Had the same flavors as Chicago pizza, just not as pronounced. The one thing I wasn't a fan of was the crust, to be honest. Tasted old. Would come again when craving Chicago style. This Rosati's Pizza nestled between Potters' Peak and Mountainside Fitness off of 116th and Shea Blvd. is just fabulous. They have true, thin crust Chicago pizza and the Italian Sausage they use on it is actually the best we have had since moving to Scottsdale full time. Paige is usually the one taking our order and once she hears the last name she says " well done crust, right".... A small local business owner that remembers a little thing like that makes you feel good. Yesterday we ordered four 18" pizzas for the crew that is working in our house. They had never had a real Chicago thin crust before. "Our" Rosati's will have 4 new customers...the guys loved it. Can't go wrong with any of the salads, they are fresh and the chicken Parmesan dinner is a feast! For those of you that miss the Chicago thin crust, you absolutely need to try this location. I'm always playing the "Who has the best pizza" game in town? I love some good pizza and will pretty much eat any type. It's true.. most pizza is decent, but some stand above others. Rosati's definitely does that. We usually get a few things. A Large 16" pepperoni and sausage, amazing jalapeño poppers, fried zucchini, and another pepperoni and pineapple pizza. Now it's not the cheapest of meals, but damn is it so so good! The people working there are always friendly and wonderful to order from and the food has always been hot and fresh. The holidays can be a bit rough when you're on your own, so I was really excited to have something tasty on a day that I needed a little "pick me up". Well, the food was decent (nice crust on the pizza) and the prices were reasonable, but ... I hate that I have to post this, but Rosati's rep left me no choice. Last week, Feb 28, at 5:35 pm I ordered a pizza, chicken parm sandwich, and salad by phone for delivery for my brother, sister-in-law, and me. I gave my credit card over the phone, but before the driver arrived, I changed my mind and I figured it would be easier to pay cash than to deal with adding a tip to the receipt and signing it on the porch in the dark, and my wallet was full of 20s. The total was $54 and change, my brother agreed $5 and change was a good delivery tip, and rounding it up to $60 also meant the driver wouldn't have to fuss with change; when the driver arrived I told him I was giving him $60, to keep the change, and confirmed I didn't need to sign the credit card receipt he had set on top of the pizza box (and since I didn't need to sign it I didn't take it from him). I assumed he'd turn over the $60, less the tip, the credit card wouldn't be charged since I didn't sign the receipt, and that would be that. I checked my credit card statement online two days later and was surprised to see the $54 charge on there. I called the restaurant and explained what happened, and the lady said I erred by not calling them back and saying I was paying in cash - my mistake, I guess, but it doesn't change the crux of the matter - and that she'd check with the driver and get back to me. She called back and said he told her I just gave him $7, as a tip, and that I didn't give him $60. I was shocked, and argued but to no avail that I didn't even have $7 on me, only $20s and one single, I wouldn't have given a $7 tip in any case because I was following my brother's advice, and my brother (an attorney with an excellent recall for details) is a witness to the transaction because he saw and heard me from the living room couch, 6 feet from the front door when I dealt with the driver. I tried to give the driver the benefit of the doubt by telling the rep "he must have confused me with another customer" and I asked to speak to the driver. The rep told me since the driver is a long-term employee, she would not discuss it with me further. My blood started to boil. First, it is not my style to take advantage of anyone, let alone a small business, and let alone a pizzeria since that's my favorite food on the planet! And would someone really plan this type of "elaborate" crime - "I'm going to order a pizza with a credit card, and two days later claim I paid with cash upon the delivery" - and then spend hours trying to get a restaurant to erroneously reimburse them? Not worth the time to do such a thing, in my opinion. And not that this should matter, but I've had the same job for 21 years, the same credit card for 34 years, never been arrested for any crime or misdemeanor, and if you look at my other reviews on Yelp you will see how I honor small businesses. Was gifted a gift card from an out of state relative for use at any location listed on MyRosatis.com. Tried to place an order to redeem and was told this location doesn't accept the gift cards - even though they are listed as a location on MyRosatis.com. Kyle - who we were told was the owner - was rude and no help, treated us like we were in the wrong for even attempting to use this gift card that he had not personally signed off on when purchased (again this was bought by an out of state relative and clearly states it was accepted here). I would never have chosen Rosatis if I didn't have a gift card to use, and now I definitely never will after this experience. We've picked up a pie from Rosati's two times now - both sausage and both quite delicious. The sausage is ground, but has a lot of flavor. The pie is sliced into little squares - which my husband, from Chicago, LOVES. The do deliver, but we like to go for a little ride and pick it up. The place is in an odd kind of out-of-the way strip mall off of 116th. There are a couple of tables there, nothing fancy, it's clean (one thing you kind of worry about with delivery only places).
