    A complimentary dessert

The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, both inside and out. Based on the setting and appearance, we expected a more upscale dining experience, but unfortunately the food didn't live up to those expectations. I ordered the broccoli salad with shrimp. The shrimp was well cooked and flavorful, but the broccoli salad tasted like something you'd find at a supermarket deli rather than a restaurant at this price point. My partner had the fried scallops, which came with only fries, a small wedge of watermelon, and a couple of spoonfuls of coleslaw. While the scallops were decent, the sides were underwhelming, and overall the meal felt overpriced for what was served. The service was mixed. Our server was friendly and professional, but we felt a bit forgotten after our meal was finished. It took quite a while before anyone came back to check on us or ask if we needed anything else. We were also given a complimentary dessert at the end of the meal, which was a thoughtful gesture. However, its presentation was fairly underwhelming, so it didn't leave much of an impression and didn't desire to eat it. See picture of dessert attached. Overall, this restaurant has a lovely ambiance and a lot of potential, but the food quality, value, presentation, and attentiveness of the service didn't match the impression the restaurant's setting creates.

First the ambience... beautifully appointed. Then the server...very attentive. Then the food... soo delicious. Chef grade A. Finally the price-that was a shocker... extremely reasonable. Highly recommended.

Lovely restaurant in the heart of Ogunquit. Diverse menu, with many options for seafood, meat and some vegetarian options. We didn't want a big dinner, so opted for soup and salads. Lobster bisque very filling and hearty was served with croutons. The clam chowder was well done and filling. We included lobster meat on the salad which made it a full meal! After dinner fudge was a great touch! We sat on the patio, next to a fire pit to take out some of the evening chill. The restaurant is positioned next to a very busy street, so it was noisy. Service was great and with a smile. Overall a positive experience.

This place is fantastic! My husband and I are MA residents that got married a couple weeks ago. We went here as a celebration dinner. Staff was very warm and welcoming. We were even surprised with champagne! Compliments from the owner. We sat outside with the lovely fire place going. We even went back the next day for lobster bisque! Not overly priced, either. Can't wait to visit again!

We just happened to walk by this place and decided to try it. We ate so glad we did! Our server was Noah and he was very friendly and attentive. Place was very busy with many waiting for a table outside. We chose for a quicker table inside and we are glad we did. Bar is decorated with pretty Turkish lamps Highlight of our evening was our perfect fish and chips. We got our order about 10 minutes after ordering. Fish was hot and nicely fried. At the end of dinner, we were served complimentary fudge that we were told were made in-house. Very nice treat. We will be back again next time we are in the area to try other dishes.

Baked scallops and mashed potatoes, baked haddock and broccoli salad.

An impromptu moment after far too many delicious espresso martinis at Leavitt and was pleasantly surprised. Had the calamari app with their Elderflower Cucumber and Mint Martini , baked scallop with mashed potato, and baked haddock with broccoli salad. Everything was light, perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection, and balanced. Not a single crumb left behind. The outdoor seating has gas fire pits in the centers of the table making for great ambiance and the staff were wonderful. Showed up right before close (didn't realize until being seated) and wasn't rushed. I am a huge seafood fan and I appreciate the normal portions with attention to detail instead of whopping portions of mediocre food. Will be returning when here next season.

Haddock sandwich at an outdoor fire pit table

We were walking down the street in Ogunquit looking for a place for a late lunch. We stopped to look at the menu and the host approached us with complementary fudge. it was amazing and we were intrigued by the outdoor fire pit tables in late October so we decided to take a chance. What a great experience! Our server was totally on top of things and we enjoyed our meal. They also have lap blankets at the fire pit table, and they bring more fudge with your check. I highly recommend this place!

    Elderberry, cucumber, mint martini

Great service and food. Their elderberry cucumber mint martini are delicious. We also had the mac & cheese and bacon wrapped scallops. Yum.

I don't like fishy tastes/seafood generally and this wasn't fishy at all. Not all rolls had similar quality though, one of the rolls my group ordered had a shell in it. Each lobster roll can be done with butter, mayo, or both and are heated upon request. They all come with a bag of kettle potato chips and a fork; there are condiments and napkins sitting out at the order window. The shop was a small house with one counter window open for ordering. There's handicap parking steps away from the order counter, and restrooms about a 2 min walk away. The house sits across from a tall footbridge which is a nice photo spot, and there's a bench and trash can underneath it. It took about 15 mins to order and receive our items with a line that was about 7 people long! We came on a summer Saturday afternoon and it was lively, there were lots of people strolling around. The surrounding area seems like a resort town with lots of inns and rentals.

Footbridge lobster vs Lobster Shack review…read more Location: Footbridge lobster is located right next door to Lobster shack right by the footbridge. Seating: Footbridge js TAKE OUT ONLY with a big window you walk up to order and pickup. There are some benches nearby you might get lucky or you can stand by the bridge and eat. Lobster shack has seating and bathrooms. Price: On a Monday post lunch hour, I ordered the Lobster roll with clam chowder soup. Foot bridge is cheaper if you buy the combo outside of the lunch special hour compared to lobster shack. If you buy during lunch hour, they both are about similar in pricing. FOOD: The biggest difference between the two was TEXTURE. Footbridge offered a bouncy/chewier texture while Lobster Shack offered a softer easier to pull apart lobster. Secondly, the bread is slightly smaller at footbridge but the meat is 5oz almost singular piece versus lobster rolls multiple smaller pieces. Clam chowder was similar in the sense that footbridge had a thicker milkier consistency like most New England clam chowder while Lobster shack had more meat/substance but thinner liquid base with a somewhat coconut type taste. Both lobsters and clam chowder are unique and tasty in their own way and all boils down to preference. Lobster shack also had a pickle on the side but the price is slightly higher which all in all boils down to whether you like to chew or just wolf down that lobster roll.

I'd been coming here for at least 20 years, and in recent years it had been a favorite spot to eat outside when traveling with my dog. But now, we are not allowed to eat outside with a dog. Instead we had to order to-go and then walk down back to a 'dog area' which is a spot to the left of the building, below the parking area with one picnic table and some chairs in the woods. It was a beautiful sunny day, but we were getting eaten alive by no-seeums, which is not a nice experience when paying $100 for 1 meal with 6 scallops, 4 small pieces of fried fish, fries and slaw, an order of onion rings, a small clam chowder, and 2 beers. And $50 for a small lobster, an ear of corn, and an iced tea. I get that this is a tourist area, but $12 for a beer in a plastic cup and a $7.50 up charge for 6 scallops while being banished to a buggy spot that made eating very uncomfortable is a big no thank you for me. Crossing this place off my list, sadly. The upgrades and changes to this place are not a bonus at all. I'm sad that a place I always felt was friendly and welcoming is now overpriced and we all felt like we were being treated as second class citizens.

What we ordered: -Cornbread: 3/5, great portion to share with the table and piping hot which I loved but wish it was moister and had more honey on top. -Caesar salad: 5/5, incredibly fresh, dressing was delicious and evenly spread among the whole salad, fresh anchovies on top were a nice touch -Crabcakes: 4.8/5, only comes with 2 but the cakes were very fresh and flavorful. The corn on top was very boring I wish they spiced it up a bit but it did not take away from the flavor of the cakes so I kept the score high. -Lobster Pappardelle: 5/5, one of my favorite meals we ate on vacation!! Generous lobster portion with perfectly cooked pappardelle in a very tasty sauce. I already miss it and wish I could eat it again. -Braised Short Rib: 3.8/5, beautiful presentation and everything tasted great but very small polenta/carrot portions and I wish the meat was more tender. It wasn't bad, it just didn't blow my socks off. -Espresso crème brûlée: 4.5/5, was the perfect birthday dessert for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. Quality espresso flavor, wish it was a little crispier on top. Food was ~4/5 but our overall experience was 5/5. Our server, Pedro, was so friendly and helped us with dish recommendations. When I told him we were celebrating a birthday, he brought the crème brûlée out with a candle and two other staff members to sing to him which was so sweet. We will definitely come back here next time we're in town!

We sat at a table by the window on the first floor. We overheard that there is an upstairs bar, not sure if they also seat folks for dinner there. We were able to place an order right after getting settled. We enjoyed the Sun mocktail, charred beet salad, mac and cheese, fried codd sandwich, steak frites, and corn ravioli (without the pancetta). My spouse is gluten free and I am vegetarian so we are always looking for restaurants that can accommodate both. The charred beet salad was good but I think dressed a bit too heavily. I thought the corn ravioli and sun mocktail were both great. The kids (ages 1.5 and 5) liked the Mac and cheese and fried cod sandwich. They did not have any appropriate booster seats for the 1.5 year old so my spouse held him. My spouse loved the steak frites but I think wished had a few more "frites" given the amount of interest from the younger crowd. Our waiter was wonderful and also brought some orange slices from the bar for the kids. We were very grateful. We decided to go nearby for ice cream after dinner, but I heard there is a dessert menu.

We requested a table with a view and were allowed to hang around the bar area while we waited. The wait was only about 10 minutes and the table we were given had a wonderful view of the harbor. Our waiter was at our table to take our drink order almost immediately and promptly took our food order when he arrived with our drinks. Our food came out fast and was all hot, clearly nothing had been sitting under a heat lamp at window and was brought right to our table as soon as it was ready. Pickle chips - first it's worth noting that these are not made with dill pickles, they're the sweet "bread and butter" pickles. It's not my personal preference, but some may prefer that. Either way, it probably should be mentioned on the menu. The fried pickles themselves have a perfect thickness of breading on them, which does seem to have some seasoning in it. Every one of them was crispy and the breading wasn't peeling off like it does at many other places. The dip they came with tasted like it might have been a blend of thousand island and horseradish. Fish and chips - both the fish and the fries were very fresh. The fries were definitely freshly cut and not frozen. The fish had just the right amount of perfectly crispy breading on it. Neither the fries nor the fish were soggy. The only feedback I'd have here for improvement is for the sauces. If you're going to go through the effort to use fresh fries and fish, then why use store-bought tartar sauce? I'd love to see them start making some fresh tartar and maybe even some homemade ketchup! Fried clams - My wife had the fried clams and one of her favorite reasons for coming to this restaurant is that the menu states that they don't use any hydrogenated oils in their food. She also really enjoyed her clams and found them to be crispy and flavorful.

The only reason I am giving this three stars is because the food was just average. We ordered a chowder, a lobster roll, grilled cheese, and a hot dog. The grilled cheese and hotdog were good, but the lobster roll and chowder were just okay for the price. The chowder was a bit watery and not as rich as some of the others that I have had. The lobster roll was a little small and needed to be jazzed up with some more mayo or lettuce. Overall I had a really nice lunch here and would definitely return just for the location and service.
