Great place if you are craving pho or if you're touring Seattle! The interior is clean and pretty. Small place but very live. They are incredibly religious in this environment so those who are not religious or stand strong for their own religion, be sure to keep this in mind. For me, I was a little weirded out and that's why I cannot give them 5 stars. It made me uncomfortable reading the quotes on the wall and the owner gave us blessings right when we walked in and when we left. She also gave us hugs and really catered to us. She almost babied our party as we were eating. It was pretty overwhelming. The food was really up to parr with heir authentic flavors and sizes. I had the Pho Dac Biet in a large and I really enjoyed the broth. Though, they didn't add half the meats that's usually in this dish. I had to go on and dig for it but missed out on a lot. I've been to many pho places in and around Seattle in the 6 years I've lived here and the broth here is truly something else. Usually I load my bowl up with the plum sauce you usually get on the table but I forgot to request some with my pick-up order. It doesn't even need it! So delicious. And the food, they were just delicious! Our family came in for dinner at an evening a week before Lunar New Year. We were warmly greeted. Each of us received a hug from the owner, followed by a wish from her for our future and endeavor in this upcoming year. Her wishes were not the superficial ones you would hear everyday, but were thoughtful as they were based on our occupations and our interest she had asked us right before. She kept the conversation going on while we were browsing the menu, and it was like we were friends forever. I was very surprised at how quick the service was. With an order of 5 dishes, it only took 10 minutes for all the dishes to be ready to serve. I ordered a beef short ribs with white rice. The taste of the ribs were strong and savory, and the ribs themselves were soft and chewy. The seasoning of the ribs reminded me of the food my mom made in old days back in Vietnam. I have never found any other Vietnamese restaurant here that delivers this strong taste in their food, yet very original and unique. Overall, it was an unforgettable dinner for us. I just recently moved back to the southend and am trying to find my new go-to pho place. I'm a pho pho-reak hahaha get it! I go out to eat pho at least once a week- sometimes more, especially now that it's getting colder here in the 206 (more like 253, but you know). I walked in around lunch time on a weekday and man!! This place was crowded! I have never seen a pho place so poppin' except at UW on The Ave where hungry college students were scarfing down their noodz on their class breaks lol. They offer more than just pho here, but it's called Rose Pho so that's what I got! I was so happy to see that they offer pho tai chin bo vien which is my go-to order at restaurants where they don't charge extra for meatballs :-) I ordered a large and it was a LARGE so I was pleasantly surprised! Broth was yummy and there were a good amount of noodles and meat in my bowl. After reading the reviews, I was anticipating when the owner would come around and she did when I was about halfway through my meal! What a sweet lady! We came here a couple of times before and the food was pretty decent. I'm torn writing this review because the owner is nice, but yet when an issue arose, she did nothing about it. The lemongrass and chili chicken tasted alright, but definitely not made right. It doesn't look or taste like how it should. It was more like a Chinese stir fry. The egg rolls have got to be the smallest egg rolls I've ever seen. The filing for the regular roll looked decent (I don't know how it tastes as I have it to my preschooler). I did not see tea listed under the beverages, but there is a charge. The service was not the greatest. We had to wait for the server for so long and sometimes had to wave her down a few times. My mom ordered the vegetarian vermicelli, which lists grilled shiitake mushrooms. There was none; not even one piece. The vegetables were not fresh. They used the ends of the carrots and it was blackened as though it's starting to go bad. She nicely pointed out to the server that perhaps she ordered the won't dish because there's no shiitake in it. The server then pointed to a tiny piece of button mushroom and said there's the mushroom. My mom then pointed to the item on the menu, which clearly states grilled shiitake. I overheard the server bringing it up to the owner but nothing came about from it. No apologies or anything of the sort from either the server or the owner. The vermicelli dish was the most expensive dish we ordered that evening ($10.50) and it was so disappointing to my mom. Because my son and my mom were still hungry, we decided to order the vegetarian worrying rolls so my mom can eat it. We waited for 15-20 minutes. What came out were the vegetarian fresh rolls. I tried to explain to the server and she said that was what I ordered. So I then asked if there's anyway we can change it and have it to go. 10-15 minutes passes by before I received the order. It felt really light, but I thought nothing of it. When we were in the car, I opened the box to find two tiny rolls (for almost $4)... What's worse was my mom left it for my son since the portion was so small, but he didn't like it. We will not be returning. read more

Seattle is a town of great Pho so getting 4 stars requires more than just tasty Pho and huge servings. Rose Pho distinguishes itself by ingredient quality. Their meat quality is the best I've had. Their vegetables are top quality. Their broth has clear notes albeit a bit mild. With that said, I'm not as enthusiastic about the owner. While she's nice enough, I'm not a fan of proselytizing and her saying grace over the meal in a religion that's not mine, and unasked for, is a social burden that I don't always want with my dinner. read more

Cozy little restaurant located in a strip mall. Heavy amount of decor when I visited, a lot of Lunar New Year type decorations. Decals with religious quotes on the wall. Surprisingly packed for a weekday dinner. The menu is huge, like almost overwhelming so. Besides the typical Vietnamese dishes, there were many other types of Asian foods, like Chinese and Thai, as well as plenty of Americanized dished like General Tso's chicken. I don't know shit about Pho. In fact, I just learned last year that its "PHA," not "FOE." That's how dumb I am. You also can't really blame me cause I grew up in a small town in Alaska, and there aren't a lot of vietnamese people less any Pho restaurants. The first time I went here I got lost. The directions via navigation, and yelp lead you to a house. Maybe it used to be a Pho trap house. Regardless, its actually down the street in the center strip of a newer mall. Business must have been good cause they done moved on up. The spot is pretty small. Maybe 15 tables. There are bible quotes on the walls, and plants line the window front. Oh, I'm not going to gloss over the bible quotes! Every time you enter Rose Pho, you get greeted warmly, and awkwardly (that's just me) by a nice older woman who says thing like "god bless you," or "heaven is divine," or something along those lines. I don't know if those quotes are accurate, but I'm just speaking with hyperbole cause I'm not religious. The scene where Ben Stiller says grace in Meet the Parents would accurately describe my tie to religion. Sidenote: I was on Tinder yesterday, and got matched up with a really good looking girl. We chatted for a bit, and then out of nowhere she asked if I had faith. I joked and told her I don't really like George Michaels, but she was serious. Every time I've eaten here I've been with my visiting parents. Its their favorite spot, and I'm not sure if its cause its good, or if they like the religious vibes. They're pentecostal, so if you know what that is...just YEAH. Anyways, my mom, and grandma have yet to order Pho here. Its a fucking Pho restaurant! They order the Mongolian beef, and shrimp fried rice last time we went. It was good, but I just find it maddening. As far as Pho goes, its the best I've had. I get the Rose Pho Special. It has thinly sliced pieces of beef along with the usual Pho accoutrements. You can get a small or large bowl. The small bowl is large, so order cautiously people. Take all this mind though. I said I don't know shit about Pho, and I've only really had it at a few other places. I don't want you Pho nerds pushing your glass up your snooty nose, and saying "actually, this isn't real pho...blah, fart, burp." Besides the Pho, I've also had a few of their appetizers, and they've all been good. The calamari, fresh rolls, and chicken skewers to be precise. The presentation of the food is kind of impressive. They don't just throw it on a plate. There are veggie flowers, and shit...they must have bought that knife on that infomercial you used to see back in the day for parring. You know how old people like to buy shit on tv. Like a barber, bar, or cleaners, you gotta have your go to spot. The "this is where i go for this." It makes life simpler, know what I mean? Well, this is my Pho place if I'm in the mood. One more thing to check off my list! The food is pretty good, and the people even better. My bill came to $13.75 but they charged my card $40 AND $13.75 saying they will refund the $40 the next day, which happened. THIS WAS NOT A MISTAKE, IT IS THEIR STANDARD POLICY TO PAY LESS of a CREDIT CARD FEE. Very very bad business policy and I told them so. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. This place is amazing -- Vietnamese food (including Pho) and some Thai dishes and other generally-southeast-asian dishes, all of great quality, very friendly staff, and very fresh ingredients. Large to huge portions, moderate pricing, and even when the restaurant is full, speedy service. I'd strongly recommend a detour to visit this place, and if you're in the vicinity of the airport, it's a great option. Everything I had was great (although I stuck to pretty classic dishes -- singapore vermicelli noodles with shrimp; mongolian beef; pho with ribeye) -- the unexpected but still great item was tempura/fried cheesecake as a dessert. read more

My sister and I were in town Friday 5/31 for a concert and her birthday. Neither one of us had every had Vietnamese or Pho. We are both glad we stopped her to try it out. The food was absolutely amazing!! We walked in and the lady (didn't catch her name) was so welcoming and super nice. We ordered the Fall Rolls, Honey apple strawberry shrimps, and the 3 meat Pho.
