My first visit to Milyar Coffee, and it was overall a great experience! There was plenty of seating and space. You could easily hang out and work, or catch up with friends and family. I love when a cafe actually cares about the food that they serve. I was lowkey overwhelmed with the amount of dessert options as a girly with a sweet tooth. I ended up getting the baklava cheesecake since I have never in my life seen that combination before! It was delicious and worth a try! The drinks were yummy. Both the Yemeni latte and Milyar chai were spiced with cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves. The staff was friendly and inviting. I loved that they really went all out with the World Cup decor. First time trying this coffee shop although I have seen it on social media before. It's quite a spacious place with tons of seating, and thankfully when I came to visit it wasn't busy. Me and my family were warmly greeted when we arrived, and the staff were helpful in choosing things off the menu. I wish I would have tried a drink, but because I only wanted a snack I ended up trying the beehive, which is a cream cheese pastry drizzled with honey. It kinda tasted like a warm, sweet pizza dough dessert, but honestly I really enjoyed it! My brother ordered a chai and it was pretty good, but definitely strong lol. 3.5 stars overall for this Yemen style cafe. Drinks were very good! World cup themed matcha with berries was yummy. They were able to make an iced white chocolate mocha latte even though it wasn't on the menu. The coffee was super smooth and rich. Food: The egg amosa was a little dry. The chicken shawarma was tasty but burnt on one end because the tortilla style wrap was probably set too close to a heat source as they warmed it. I think I came on an off day because it was a busy weekday and the line kept getting longer. The cashier seemed pretty overwhelmed trying to keep up, which made the experience feel a bit hectic. I ordered their banana matcha since it's one of their more popular drinks, but unfortunately it was a miss for me. It did not taste like matcha at all, and it had a zing to it. I also tried their beef shawarma, and that was pretty disappointing as well. The meat was extremely chewy on the inside, to the point where it was inedible. It was also warm on the outside and then cold on the inside. The only thing I enjoyed that I got was the biscoff cheesecake. I hope they can improve once they get more settled in. read more

This is a lovely coffee shop for studying or hanging out. The interior design/decor is beautiful, there's a gold and granite theme and plenty of lighting. Lots of seating and there are a few outlets. They also have shelves of books and board games. I had a good study session here. The baristas were really nice and helpful in suggesting less caffeinated drinks since their decaf machine was broken, and I ended up getting an adeni chai that I enjoyed. The chai comes unsweetened but they can add sweetener. I saw people waiting a bit for their drinks so this probably isn't the best spot if you're in a rush; they had decent foot traffic on a weekend afternoon and the drinks seem to take some time to make. They have a nice selection of savory pastries such as fatayer in different varieties (spinach, potato, cheese, zaatar, egg, chicken), samosas (beef, chicken, potato), and beef shawarma rolls. A reliable choice for a 9 PM matcha run, even when you shouldn't be doing it. Came to try the banana matcha latte with oat milk and it was pretty good. Update : Fortunately, they started to prepare coffee in the traditional Yemeni coffee pot. One of the servers showed me a beautiful coffee pot behind counter. A definite treat. Usually served in little coffee cups while super hot. Yes, there should be coffee grounds at the bottom. Reading Fortune: If you turn it upside down wait awhile and then turn it right side up. Reading your fortune in the way the coffee grounds cling to the cup is a thing. The Arabian Qahwah (coffee) I had was good. Made with ginger and other spices. A variety of delicious drinks and food! I visited on a Sunday evening, hoping to get some work done. Immediately, I could tell this cafe was not the place for a quiet work session. There is plenty of seating, but every single table was full. The atmosphere was boisterous, with so many tiny kids running around. This seems to be a very family-friendly spot, as I noticed lots of families enjoying delicious drinks here. If you're looking for a nice study cafe, this is not the place. The interior is decorated lavishly, and I did eventually snag a table. I tried the milyar chai, which was perfectly spiced and piping hot. The price was very reasonable considering the quantity of chai I received. There was quite a long wait since the line was so long. It probably took me fifteen minutes to order and another fifteen minutes to get my drink. The store amazingly only got busier into the night, and they stay open really late. There were several other drinks on the menu that sounded really delicious! I hope to return to try more drinks and some of their delectable desserts. My fiance and I tried this place on a Saturday around 10. It was pretty quiet for a weekend morning. The interior is spacious, clean, and modern. I noticed they have some games in the corner. This would definitely be a nice place to have a sit down coffee. We ordered the yemeni latte, pistachio latte, beef (fatayer? The label just said beef, lol) and a chicken sambusa. It took 5-10 minutes for our food to be ready. We didn't mind since it looked like they put a lot of love into our coffees haha. My yemeni latte had a nice cardamom and spiced flavor and it was subtly sweet. I wouldn't recommend this for someone who wants a sweet coffee, but for me, it was perfect. My fiancés pistachio latte was sweet and creamy. I don't see pistachio lattes often, so this was a nice treat. The food was also really good. There was only ground beef in my fatayer (I wasn't sure what to expect), but the dough and beef had really good flavor. I also liked how soft and doughy it was. Honestly, I would not recommend this place unless you enjoy food that keeps you guessing. The shawarma and hot dog were a special kind of experience somehow burnt on the outside like they trained in a volcano, but still cold and frozen inside like they just woke up from the fridge. It felt like the food couldn't decide whether it was cooked or still in storage. Customer service was equally mysterious. The staff didn't know the menu prices, couldn't recommend anything, and overall gave the vibe of "we also just started working here today and are figuring life out." To make things even more adventurous, the food arrived without any sauce, so it was basically dry, sad, and emotionally unavailable. Overall, this place feels less like a restaurant and more like a surprise challenge game. If you're hungry and value your sanity, there are much better options nearby like Shawarma Ji, where food actually knows what temperature it is supposed to be. This is very spacious and newly opened coffee place with high ceilings and comfy chairs. The prices are average, staff is friendly. They have really good coffee machine. Huge fan of this place already! Walked in for the first time and was really impressed by the interior of the café. It's bright and opening and the marble and gold accents were really pretty and made you feel like you were in a spacious place. I ordered one of their specialty drinks, Iced Adeni Chai" sweetened with honey and it was delicious! It was aromatic, light, and refreshing! I was also very tempted to order their "Cloud 9 Matcha" but I'll grab that next time! Definitely wanted my first taste to be what they're known for! If you order some of their pastries and treats and sit in, please return the dishes to the counter if you can, I saw lots of customers do this and I think this is the norm here (and it's respectful soo doesn't hurt to practice that either!) With that said, I think this place is fairly new so drinks might take a while to receive in hand as their baristas are working in orders. So I would say this is a nice sit down place to study or catch up with friends. If you're in a rush, I would suggest letting them know ahead of time at the counter as I saw lots of people waiting by the pick up counter for their drinks. We reached there at 11 pm as we were craving for some desserts and this place didn't disappoint at all . One good thing is it is open till midnight which makes it easier for people like us who get these late night cravings. There are plenty of street parking and the area looked very safe . We were a bunch of friends and we stayed there till pretty late and were also standing and taking outside the cafe till 12:30 am but we felt very safe . We were 4 people but we decided to get 3 cakes as the cake pieces looked big and we were there just to satisfy our craving and were not hungry . Taste of everything we tried was amazing. We took a rose milk cake , pistachio milk cake and dubai chocolate milk cake . I would give 100/10 if I can for the taste, ambience , service . Everything was top notch . After a long day we decided to stop for some coffee before driving more then 2 hours back home. My sister loves Yemeni coffee so this place was perfect . Walking in it was spacious and beautiful inside. They had beautiful lights on the ceilings, very comfy chairs. Everything was decorated pretty elegant with gold tints of color pop up here and there . The walls also had beautiful art work . They have calm music playing in the background. They have board games for the families to play . My kiddos and I played uno well waiting for our drinks . My sister got the Mufawaar drink it was my favorite she let me try and it was so delicious. I had the Yemeni Latte it was good with lots of spices. My kiddos got dragon, fruit, lemonade, and the hot chocolate. They loved their drinks. They said they were delicious. My son I got the hot chocolate he said it's the best chocolate he has ever tried. They had so many milk cakes for purchase and so many different flavors of them. I ended up getting the rose milk cake. It was so good since I'm Mexican, it taste just like a 3 leches cake for me. I have to say I really enjoy the milk cakes and I like that I could go back and try different flavors next time. There was a young man that took our orders on the counter, and he was very polite and attentive . After we ordered, they gave us these buzzers that alerted us when our orders were ready. Stopped by Milyar Cafe in Santa Clara on a Saturday morning around 9:30am and ordered fresh chai lattes. The wait was about 17 minutes, which felt reasonable considering there were only two workers on shift and both were clearly hustling. The barista was moving quickly and still took the time to answer my questions, which I appreciated. The Milyar's was freshly made, comforting and perfectly sweetened. The Aden's chai was also well made with a tea and milk forward flavor that was less sweet than the Milyar's Chai. That said, it would have been helpful if the barista had given a quick heads-up that freshly made chai takes a bit longer, just so guests can anticipate the wait and have a better sense of timing. The space could also benefit from having some music on...it felt a bit quiet and flat. Will also return for the strawberry and chocolate filled croissants! Odd first experience here. We were excited to try this place, since our daughter goes to SCU so we drive by all the time. Verified online they were open, however, when we pulled up the lights were off. Anna-frame advertisement was on the sidewalk and the door was unlocked. We waited for a bit but no one came out. A coffee shop open until 12am? What a great place for students needing to get their work done and having amazing caffeinated beverages to help fuel us! First things first, I love the layout of the coffee shop! The high ceilings allow you to feel like you're not being suffocated with your assignments (lol), lots of comfortable sitting areas with plugs, and the best part is that it's well lit so it keeps you awake! My favorite go-to drink is the iced Adeni Chai (blackj tea with yemeni spices and cream) with cold foam. Warning! This drink is highly caffeinated. I made the mistake of drinking a 16 oz past 8pm and I was awake til 2am! I've tried their Yemeni Latte, it wasn't my personal favorite because of the many spices-- but I've talked to others and for some it's their drink of choice. The mango arabia is the one for you if you like your drinks sweet. I'm a creature of habit, so I will be sticking to the Adeni Chai! Finally a yemeni tea place closer to home! Everything hit the spot and they are definitely cheaper than Bae Tea and Qamaria. The quality of spices in the tea was also very good. We got the adeni chai and i think next time we will try the basic yemeni tea as that has just cardamom. The honey cake was moist and airy and fresh! And my daughter really enjoyed the rainbow cake too. Im looking forward to returning and trying their zaatar bread as well. The service was great and they made sure to ask for sweetness level in the chai - which we appreciated. The interior is beautiful and spacious. I did not try their coffee drinks as I would probably go somewhere else for those - this is the place for traditional yemeni and arabic teas! Today, I'm here in Silicon Valley. This is something I've been meaning to do for a long time. Everytime I'm going down Monroe St. on late Nights, I've seen this Shop all the time. I'm here at Milyar Café in Santa Clara this Afternoon. It looks kinda High-end, or Luxurious in here. And there's some good and real hardworking people Working here. I had my Cup of Iced Yemeni Latte, Potato Pastry, and Dubai Cheesecake. The Yemeni style Latte was robust. The Sautéed Medley of Veggies in the Potato Pastry, and balance of flavors, was a really good combination, and it was seasoned very well. And the Dubai Cheesecake, was a Lighter version than all the other versions I had of this Cake so far, but decadent, fragrant, and exquisite. I was thinking this was going to be a 3.9-4.3 stars, I want to give this a 4.4/4.5 stars, but I'm going to give this 4.4 stars out of 5 stars. That's a High and solid Score. There's plenty of parking on the streets outside as it is located in the suburbs in Santa Clara. There was an assortment of people studying, working, solo, and chatting with friends.
