Solid milk tea and fruit teas! I'm a huge fan of fruit teas because who doesn't like sweet and delicious??? Also real milk hurts my tummy. Place was solid!! Been few times and it never disappoints. Figured I should finally leave a review. Fruits teas are great! But they're actually really sweet imo, if you have a sweet tooth then go for it, but I would recommend getting half sugar. Milk teas taste like milk teas. Not my go-to, but tried the mung bean one and yeah, it's tastes like sweet milky mung bean. Pandan flavor (pudding) is whatevs to me. Decor is very night clubby, place is always packed at night every time I've been, old school hip-hop and r&b MV are playing on their tvs. It's definitely a vibe. Ditch the crowd and go during the day!

Love Pekoe as my neighborhood tea spot. Their fruit teas are refreshing and love trying their mixed drinks. Our favorites are life's a peach, yellow mango, kawaii. I also like getting their creme brûlée (one of my favorite drinks ever), taro and matcha strawberry for days I'm not feeling a fruit tea. The decor is cute inside and they do decorate during the seasons. It used to have a really cute seating area but they have since remodeled and taken those out. Service is usually pretty quick for my drinks to be made, but I'm always going during the weekdays at non peak times.

Walking in I was surprised by how small the shop was. I was greeted with a smile when I walked in, which was nice. The big windows let in a lot of light but it also heats up the room fast. They also made it hard to read the menu. I really like the butterfly chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, but wish there was more seating. There are just two grouping of chairs that are always full. I received my tea relatively quickly. I ordered the Yellow Mango, and while it wasn't bad, it was super syrupy sweet. Next time I'll see if I can get it with lower sugar. Overall not a bad experience but not my favorite place

The totally remodeled and changed the look of this store. It's brighter and less night club-like before. The rearranged the front counter, etc. Jolly Rancher: A non-caffeinated Specialty Tea infused with Strawberry & Raspberry Topped with Green Apple Jelly (3.5/5). Fruity flavor and sweet like candy.

I'd say that this is as good as a lot of popular boba places like Teaspoon, Tastea, and T4. Everything is pretty good. I got the Just Dew It with less sugar, and it still tasted like honeydew. Most of the times they usually make it taste like nothing or just milk. Service wise they were quick and there were no issues. Very nice people. If you were to combine a night club with a boba tea spot, Pekoe is your go to spot! It's dark and they play music to hype you up!

Still the best tea place in the Bay Area for me. I no longer order drinks from any other place as I always get disappointed. You can taste the tea and it is flavorful. You can adjust sweetness on most drinks. I think Lee's Sandwiches expanded and Pekoe got a little smaller. The lounge vibe is gone now, I hope that doesn't hurt their business. Long time ago they used to have long lines but the market is saturated now. I still like this place a lot. Taro milk tea forever!

This pekoe location is clean and quick! We ordered from a kiosk and our drinks came out quickly! We ordered the Pretty in Pink and the TMT with half sweetness. Both drinks were really good and the half sweetness was perfect for us. I like that the drinks, the boba texture and the strawberry jelly! The decor inside was also cute with the hanging butterflies!

I really like the winter melon, it's really refreshing I like things on the sweeter side for 100% is perfect for me Only critique is that it cost an $1 for no ice

Nightclub or boba shop? You'll step into Pekoe and be transported! I felt as if I were back in the club with EDM music blasting, this time sipping on boba. I've known about this boba shop for years, but just never made it out. My companion used to frequent here in his college days so suggested we visit just for nostalgia. We came here on a weekend and it was quiet and slow but I can only imagine it's popping at night. The inside of the boba shop reminds me of a club or bar with neon lights, dim lighting, and white sofas. Ordering is simple--menu up front, order, pay, and wait for your number to be called. It didn't take long for us to get our drinks. They serve your traditional teas but are tricked up with various flavors and uncommon but oh-so-cute toppings such as heart jellies! I also love that they're able to do split cups. It's hard to pick and choose looking at their milk teas, fruit teas, and specialty teas. I got a Split Pretty in Pink and Kawaii and my companion got a Split Off the White and Foxy Brown. We got both drinks with half sugar and less ice but they were way too sweet for us. I appreciated that the drinks are made of non-dairy creamer and the amount of toppings included. Pretty in Pink was light on the strawberry and creamy. Kawaii was sweet and forward on the tropical flavor. It was decent but didn't wow either of us. Is this the best boba shop in the Bay? No. But the atmosphere and fun drinks will allure you! Also, where else can you find split cups for a decent price? There are a few Pekoe locations in San Jose but this one is in Evergreen with plenty of free parking in the plaza. I wouldn't go out of my way to come again but am glad we tried it.

Me looking at the older photos on Pekoe's Yelp page. "Oh wow this place looks cool. It's like a club!" Fast foward to me visiting in October after learning that they have remodeled. I got catfished big time. It doesn't have the same uniqueness that is once had and it just feels small inside. The Halloween decorations were cute though. Service wise I wasn't super impressed and it wasn't the most friendly. What I was most underwhelmed by was the drinks too. I ordered the Sugarcoat ($6.50) and the tea tasted odd. Like watered down and just didn't taste right. I tried two other friend's drinks and they were either too sweet or just didn't taste much tea flavor. I was dissappointed in my drink, but the salted cheese foam they use is pretty good. I saw a lot of older reviews loving this store, but maybe things have changed a lot since then because I personally wasn't a fan of the drinks or even the ambiance here.

It is deliciously worth the wait. Best banana cold foam in my opinion because it's made with actual bananas instead of flavoring so it's much more mellow. The double matcha they had for awhile is also awesome. Banana cold foam also goes great on an espresso latte. Now they let you add whichever cold foam you like to whatever drink which is great. Originally I was looking to get pearls, but they didn't have any at the time. I asked the staff how the sweetness is, and he explained it tends to run on the sweeter side and grass jelly would add additional sweetness. I ended up going with 25% sweet. I think I could have gone to 50%, but it's fine. Regardless of the sweetness, the jasmine flavor was a bit off in taste for me in that it didn't have the floral quality that I was expecting. I'd say the grass jelly didn't add too much sweetness. I was also expecting the grass jelly to be the one that sinks to the bottom of the cup, but it was floating at the top, so initially when I was drinking it, I thought they had forgotten to add the grass jelly, but it was there. It was also cubed for ease of drinking. In addition to milk teas and teas, they do have Vietnamese coffee with different types of foam/cream toppings. It's cool they have the standard salt coffee, but also toppings such as ube, pandan, durian, egg. I had a Vietnamese coffee previously here, but I can't recall exactly how it was. They do also have some sweet pastry and some savory snack options. The shop was clean and spacious. It has some seating in here. It was pretty empty when we got here. They do have a happy hour 3-6 pm for two types of drinks (but all I remember is jasmine tea), in which the drinks are $4 each. Considering it seems most of their drinks land in the $6-$8 realm, this is a good deal. Service was very friendly and the staff member who helped me was informative. Overall, Cafes Quan is a solid option for tea and coffee.

What I did not anticipate was how annoying it would be to get 24 people to actually respond and send me their orders on time. Apparently, getting married was easier than getting everyone to pick a sandwich and a drink. I finally gave everyone a hard Wednesday night deadline, collected all the orders, and walked into Arome Cafe the next day, just two days before my wedding, with an order for 24 meals and 24 drinks, along with very specific instructions about the pickup time and exactly who would be picking everything up. Needless to say, I was probably giving off some slightly stressed-out bride energy. And then there was Hannah. Hannah was absolutely amazing. She patiently went through everything with me, made sure every single order was entered correctly, confirmed all of the pickup details, and even took the extra time to write everyone's names on their individual food items so there wouldn't be any confusion on the wedding day. With 24 different people and orders, that small detail made such a huge difference. On a morning when there were a million things happening at once, Hannah and Arome Cafe were one thing I simply did not have to worry about. Everything was ready, organized, and exactly as we had discussed. Hannah, you were truly a quiet angel in the middle of our chaotic wedding morning, and I will always be grateful for how kind and helpful you were during a week when my brain was being pulled in about 500 different directions. And, of course, the food and drinks were amazing! Despite it being such a massive order, the quality was completely on point. Everything was fresh, delicious, and prepared with the same care you would expect from a much smaller order. Thank you, Hannah, for being so patient, organized, and genuinely kind. You probably had no idea how much taking care of something as simple as lunch meant to a bride two days before her wedding, but it was one less thing I had to think about, and at that point, that meant everything P.S. To the owners of Arome Cafe: I think Hannah deserves a raise. Seriously.

Theres was only one other singular customer in the entire restaurant who looked like she's already been there a while and was already sitting down when we came in, and 30 minutes flew (which is the end of our lunch break) and that customer just got her food. So imagine how long it took for our food to come out 40+ minutes. I'm not mad about it at all but I was just genuinely so confused. Because it took 40+ mins our 2 pastas came out way before my salad. Even stopping by the crowded starbucks, all 4 of our drinks came out, and we had time to sit and chat and come back and our food was still not ready. I was so so lost about how my salad took so much time when it was just lettuce, proscuitto, and eggs. Compared to TWO whole pastas with chicken and bread. But they also forgot the bread that came out with it. I was actually just confused because the place was practically empty as well. The salad was really average however the pasta was too hard, needed to be boiled way longer, and just did not taste good unfortunately.
