The Buratta appetizer is excellent, Eggplant parmesan is pretty ready, but ok. The Fettuccine with asparagus and tomatoes in a lemon ricotta cream sauce was super bland. No lemon flavor at all. We hadn't finished our soups / salads when the entrees came out. My favorite part of the meal was the pear and walnut salad. Delicious and fresh with a light vinaigrette dressing. My lobster ravioli lacked flavor and tasted way too fishy - almost like the lobster had been frozen and thawed repeatedly before the ravioli filling was prepared. Went there for lunch on a weekend, and there was surprisingly no wait. I can't understand this since my experience led me to believe this place has real quality food and service. Service was really friendly and personable. Our server offered thorough recommendations and even asked the chef questions on our behalf. I ordered the Arancini and Orrechiette. The Aranicini was wonderfully cooked, and the sauce, fresh and flavorful. I would have liked it a bit more fried,but that's personal preference. I had a hard time deciding on my main dish between the Orecchiette and the vodka sauce option. I decided on the orrechiette and was not dissatisfied. It was creamy and full of flavor from the crisp prosciutto and sausage. Everything I got was super fresh, and you can tell by the flavors. Next time, I will try the vodka sauce for sure. Although the staff is friendly the place has an off smell that kind of sets the tone. My wife and I had a few appetizers and split a main course. I did like the arancini but for the most part the food is below average and not worth the price. If I hear of this place making improvements, I would be willing to try it again but I find other Italian restaurants in the near area to be much better. They have several different "rooms" where you can sit - and I actually think for a larger group (8-10), it's a perfect restaurant to accomodate you - where it's not too loud and you can hear your table speaking. We sat outside on the 2nd floor deck and enjoyed it. Some reviewer complained about the train noise and it was truly not an issue. The train went by several times and you can barely hear it. I enjoyed my meal more than my husband did - he would have rated it one star lower. Wine was good. I had the Caesar to start and thought it was good but my husband had the piccolo salad and didn't think much of it. I had the Cavatelli w/ Vodka Sauce and he had the Chicken Parm. What a cute little restaurant. It's inside a big old house, so be prepared for close quarters and a louder-than-normal dining experience. Everything we ate here was pretty great. I loved my chicken vesuvio, which came with broccoli and delicious fries (crispy on the outside, soft on the inside). We also ordered the burrata (special) and it came with a delicious garlic spread and another with sundried tomatoes. My wife enjoyed her raspberry gimlet. Went ahead and made a reservation through opentable just to prevent any issues with table availability. We split the large Caesar salad which was very tasty and the roasted chick peas have me now wanting to lookup roasted chick pea snacking recipes. We hadn't dined here previously so decided to order a few items and share as well as take home leftovers as there was only 2 of us Vodka rigatoni was delicious as well as the meatball - might be Thursday only from 12noon to 4pm there's currently a (choose your pasta / choose your sauce / comes with a meatball and cannoli) so that was fun Eggplant parmigiana which typically is served with a pasta - there's a sub pasta for spinach so that's what I chose. The eggplant is layered with ricotta and baked to yumminess. Daily special menu had braciole - so that was entree #3 as it's not on their regular menu & wanted to try it. It's usually served with polenta so we skipped that. Delicious ! The depth of flavors in their entrees and sauces is just like you're visiting an Italian family's home to eat! There's a richness to long simmered flavors that's difficult to describe unless you grew up in an Italian family who makes these dishes. The mocktails on the menu is a very nice touch and thoughtfully offered. Mary our server was amazing and wonderful Forgot to grab photos of the cannoli (came with the lunch pasta special) and we additionally ordered a tiramisu (added bonus - all desserts but 1 are house made) Both were delicious ! I'm glad I stumbled upon this restaurant on Yelp. Located in a cute older home. We were seated in the sun room next to a heat lamp. I think we were seated there because it's best to spread everyone out otherwise it would get really loud in the other rooms. Since it isn't summer I wouldn't say the covered sun room has the best ambiance but it does the job. I had a reservation for 7pm. Service was quick and our waitress was friendly. I found out that they close at 8pm which I find really early for a sit down restaurant but I understand that businesses (especially new businesses) have to go off of demand and manage costs. I wish I noticed though because I didn't feel like I had enough time to talk with my friend. However, there was a nice bar nearby (Lilac League) that we went to afterwards so it worked out. That's always an option! We weren't rushed out by any means but I didn't want to hold up anyone either. The food was really good! We split the arancini which is one large arancini. I will definitely get this again! It wasn't overly crispy and it was super flavorful. For my main meal I had the butternut squash ravioli which is in a butter sauce. It almost looks like it had no sauce on it. I thought by the looks of it I would be disappointed with the minimal sauce but it was good! I would get it again or try other tasty looking options on the menu. For dessert we had the crème brûlée. It was good but didn't wow me. This is a cute little hidden gem. Let me first off by saying the inside and outside are amazing. This is a cute little house that each room you go inside has a different type of theme and ambiance. The outside has endless spots to sit as well. Our server Karen was amazing we sat on the rooftop area and she did a wonderful job. The pasta was amazing highly recommend the Rigatoni With Sausage & Goat Cheese. All of the items on the menu are fresh and homemade. One thing to note there is not elevator and was here with my grandma for Mother's Day. Luckily she was able to walk up the stairs to the rooftop. The rosemary cobb salad was also very delicious. The one thing we were not impressed by was the Italian sausage and polenta appetizer. It was a very small appetizer and it did not have much polenta in it at all. One of my suburbanite friends suggested this restaurant since there was a group of eight of us since she was been here before. The restaurant was transformed from a house so there were several rooms to dine in. We were seated in the screened in porch area, which great for a small group. Since we had a 4pm reservation (only time available for Saturday night) we were seated right away. Heather, server, had greeted us within a few minutes. Heather was fantastic with us since we used to work together and finally able to get together. She was able to grab all of our drinks and about three appetizers to share. Then Heather had left us alone for awhile, however, she did check in with us. About 15 minutes, we were finally ready to order. Even though the menu was more on a limited size, the restaurant offered some really great options. I finally decided on the the Parmesan Crusted Pork Chop entree. Then another round of drinks were brought. Heather did not skip a beat with our table and her other tables. Within 12 minutes or so, our meals were delivered. We all raved about them. I will saw the pork chop and the accompaniments were well seasoned. I wish the pork chop was thicker cut. For dessert, I had ordered the Cookie Skillet to share while some other desserts were ordered along with coffees. Again, no complaints. What an amazing dining experience! First of all this place feels like your sitting in someone's Italian grandmothers house. Karen our server was awesome as well and had great tips for what to order. I was between two different dishes and our server told me to go with the pasta ragu. I'm usually a cream sauce girl when it comes to pasta but this is some of the best red sauce I have EVER had. The sauce was rich and meaty. The linguine was perfectly al dente. I wanted to lick the bowl after packing up my leftovers. The other dishes ordered were the orecchiette with rapini and sausage, and fettuccini with asparagus and ricotta. Both of these dishes had amazing sauces and packed with so much flavor and umami. Desserts did not disappoint as well. We did the chocolate lava cake and the tiramisu. From appetizer to dessert and the wonderful service it's no wonder this place is doing so well. Stopped by for lunch today. This restaurant is in a home that is beautifully decorated. There is a small bar with 5 chairs. We were invited to go up to the second floor which has space for overflow seating and private events. There is also space for outdoor dining and limited parking at the rear of the restaurant. My husband and I shared a large Cesar salad which was delicious. It was served with the perfect amount of dressing and grated Parmesan cheese. The croutons were roasted chick peas which was a very nice touch. Next we shared one of their daily specials - bracciole with polenta. The meat was tender and the sauce was plentiful and tasty.
