I came to this place with my best friend for a reunion, we hadn't seen each other in months and this was the perfect place for a girls night out! They have amazing cocktails with different kinds of flavors and twists. I had a Kings Tonic and a Rose Bud, they were both delicious! My friend had a Desert Flower and a Kiss in The Rain, she loved them both. We each had 2 drinks and were definitely LIT lol We got there kinda late because we went somewhere else before, so unfortunately we couldn't eat because the kitchen was already closed. Somehow they've created a comfortable modern California rooftop feel complete with rich woods, tropical plantings with uplighting, mixed lounge and oversized high top seating, within glass-enclosed balconies adjacent to the rooftop pool. We come stay at this hotel one to two times a month as a staycation. The MEZZE platter is a must have. The feta dip is absolutely amazing. I love the vibe of this place. You do not have anything like this in Palm Beach. The coconut cocktail is delicious and refreshing! One thing I would like to mention is our Bartender Ryan is seriously THE BEST. I visited the rooftop bar with friends on a Friday in the early evening. I was surprised at how crowded it was being their is not happy hour and the weather was pretty humid out. We were not staying at the hotel but were welcomed into the separate elevator for rooftop guests. There are 2 bars upstairs that have nice bartenders eager to pour drinks. They have a pretty cool craft drink menu. I personally thought the drinks were very expensive based on the size of the pour. 1 Knob Creek on the rocks (1.5oz) 1 Angel Envy (1.5oz) 1 Specialty Cocktail in a mason jar that was mostly juice, and 1 Skinny Margarita over powered by the sour mix and no rim salt or glass garnish. ($70.00 bar tab for 4 drinks) The paper straw also fell apart before the drink was finished. Agave straws are much better. I definitely felt this was a place to see and not necessarily be seen because it was pretty crowded and unless you reserve a space with the hostess, you will not have a table or couch area to sit. We walked to the beautiful rooftop pool area and sat on lounge chairs which happened to be very nice and much less congested. Food was good, but our server (guy with yellow teeth) was a douchebag. Also, as we got there no one walked us over to our table, which was odd. Front person handed us a singular menu and looked at me like I had 3 heads when I asked if we can sit where ever. It was our first time trying the place so we had no idea. Also freshly turned 21 last week and my server rejected to get me a drink, he took id and bent it almost breaking it and told me to my face "I had to get my stuff figured out", when I kept telling him it's a real id and I'm traveling in two weeks to get it renewed. Rooftop bar / lounge / restaurant The Rosewater is a new rooftop in Delray open on the roof of the Hilton "Ray" hotel, one of their Curio properties. My buddy and I headed over there mid-week to check it out. There is a separate elevator near the valet stand to get up there. The hostess inquired if we had reservations (we didn't, I hate commitment) and then called up there to see if there was room... there was apparently, as we were allowed to enter the holy land... only to find that there was barely anyone up there. To be fair, there was a medium sized, what I would call happy hour, crowd there and no available seats at the bar. We looked at the situation only to realize that there was an entire backside to the bar that was completely empty. The front side of the bar looks out over the open-air section with the cabanas and pool, but you have your back to all of that. The rear side of the bar is part of the restaurant, but the nice thing is, sitting at the bar on the restaurant side gives you a birdseye seat of the rest of the place. BTW, the place does get busy after dark, then it seems to just die out. Rosewater follows the rooftop concept, which is similar everywhere you go: higher end cabanas line the sides - pay more, sit in the desirable spots to see and be seen. There is a pool that you never see anyone use (at night at least), and then there are usual restaurant seats. Having found our niche, we were met with two very good bartenders and they got us going with drinks and appetizers. Drinks were well made, and the food was good. Food can be hit or miss at a lot of rooftop establishments, but they are doing a good job here both on presentation and quality. Prices are well, you know, Delray. Anyplace that touts itself as "a premier rooftop lounge and pool, embodying the essence of the Delray Beach lifestyle" is going to cost you some dinero. On the plus side of things, you will at least get what you pay for, which is not a bad thing. Overall a great place to have some cocktails and people watch. Parking - it's Delray. Find something and walk over. Pro Tip: Go early and sit on the restaurant side. read more

Location Once you arrive there is a host outside the hotel with a private elevator behind that takes you up to the rooftop. It is next to a beautiful pool that I guess you can lounge in. We didn't but took pictures around it. Once at the rooftop, there are unique chairs and sofas. Whoever did the decor did a WONDERFUL JOB. Absolutely beautiful. Food Made to order and takes a LONG time to come out. The tapas-style dining is surprisingly filling. Expect for the ribs, way too much fat on the meat. We sent that back. The bang bang shrimp is by far my favorite. Flavor-wise it is amazing. The salmon sushi is incredible. A must-try. The tuna sushi is dry and terrible. The chicken skewers were dry. The Shrimp skewers had a little more flavor. Drinks - They only had two options and were slowly running out of these two options too. Cocktails KISS IN THE RAIN is amazing. Light, sweet, but not too sweet. WATERMELON SUGAR - too strong and not flavorful. Price When you make the reservation for lunch or dinner there is a warning that guests must meet $50 per person when dining from 6 pm to close. I made a reservation a month prior and received a call the day of. They called and told me the kitchen is closed at that time and if I wanted to change my reservation to earlier or later. Agreed to later, then asked what happens when the minimum is not met what happens? They said guests are warned multi-times about the minimum. Well, our bill came to just under $100 and we were able to pay and leave without issue. With the cost of food and drinks, it isn't hard to meet the minimum, but it feels forced. read more

This new rooftop is located in the Ray hotel and allows for dining options sitting either at a cabana or indoors. The views are of Atlantic Ave and there is a pool for guests staying at the hotel to enjoy. The outdoor bar is a nice touch if you want to have drinks while viewing the sky. The menu was great for lunch options and I ordered the Wagyu burger. I asked for medium well, but the burger came out well done. The burger was okay, but the fries were crisp and tasty. read more

We dined in during the Golden Hour for the happy hour deals. The rooftop is really large and open with tons of great seating options and 2 bars. Both times, we had reservations. The rooftop is actually right across from the pool deck, and so both areas have nice views. The fish tacos seem to be a favorite here. They were very good. I felt the Hamachi Crudo was pretty good. I wasn't sure how the seafood was going to be here, but it was a 5/5. I would recommend the raw oysters. They were Asian styled when I had them and had a delicious and unexpected kick of flavor. This is a part of the Ray Hotel, so you can utilize street parking or valet, and they have an elevator just for the rooftop right by the valet outside. I would highly recommend the Golden Hour, which has food and cocktail items that change mo that. Located on the rooftop of The Ray hotel, I had been wanting to check out the space after perusing pics online. The hubs and I came by for Happy Hour (which they refer to as Golden Hour) and were able to grab a table at 5pm. It was reserved for 5:30, but we were only stopping by so we didn't mind the time limit and appreciated the girl at the desk trusting us to get ours butts up in time (which we promptly did!). Sooo pretty up here. Specialty cocktails are half off during Golden Hour (Mon-Fri 3-6pm). I got the Kiss in the Rain and hubs got the Watermelon Sugar. We also ordered the chicken wings (lollipop style, which I love) bc they were part of the food included in happy hour. Everything was wonderful. On that note, there is limited food included in the happy hour special. From what I remember it's the Lollipop Chicken Wings, Hamachi Tostadas, Bang Bang Shrimp and Guacamole. This is a great place to take someone visiting from out of town. Like a little garden dream up there and it's next to the pool (for hotel guests only) which adds a nice, relaxed vibe. Went last night with a large group (with a reservation). We were seated at a glorified coffee table that we had to hunch over to eat the plates that were jammed on the table. The group next to us were wearing tanks, backward baseball hats and were literally twerking. One guy had no shirt on at all. Another guy in that group sat on the table and smashed it into toothpicks. No oversight. For a pricey menu the management needs to decide what kind of place it wants to run. It's a beautiful spot and I hope they get it together. read more

Came here with a large group for a work event and loved it. The restaurant is very trendy, modern, and comfortable but still with a polished feel. We sat in the open on cushioned patio furniture and enjoyed warm breezes. The atmosphere is truly unique and coastal, something I enjoyed coming from the mountain west. We started with drinks, I got the kiss in the rain which was great. Not too sweet but definitely fruity and fresh. All of the food at Rosewater Rooftop is tapas style and we tried almost everything. Favorites included the Pineapple Grove Sushi Roll, bang bang shrimp, guacamole, spicy tuna with crispy rice, mezze board, and yellowtail crudo. So clearly we preferred the cold plates overall. The spicy tuna and the yellowtail both melt in your mouth and have amazing flavor and the whipped feta on the mezze board is to die for! So delicious! I went for dinner last night. There was 10 of us. We ordered a BOTTLE of wine and the waiter brought over 4 glasses full of wine and told us he poured it himself. He never even showed us the bottle of wine. The food came to the tables 10-15 minutes apart from each dish. Some sat and waited while their food got cold. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING. We had a reservation and waiting over 35 min after to get our table . Our main course came before the appetizer the waiter's came only one time to the table . Order a second drink and once again Jill had to come to the rescue because after 25 min and the waiter never got our drinks . The manager it's just there for show he just keep on justified that they aren't a restaurant so that's why the service is not good that they are a bar . I had been trying to make a reservation here for weeks and finally got one this past Thursday night. My mom was visiting fro CT and I wanted to show her this place and experience something new together. Our waitress Winnie was so wonderful and accommodating to our needs. Highly recommend asking for her. We ordered the Guac & rice chips to start ! Those were great! a perfect app and the chips were so light but delightful. We ordered the bang bang shrimp, the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, & the steak skewers. Our favorites were definitely the bang bang shrimp and steak skewers. So much flavor to them both and I would order those again as a meal. I wasn't a fan of the Brussel sprouts but my mom truly enjoyed them. I ordered their watermelon sugar drink which seems to be their most popular and I can see why. It goes down like water and not too heavy! I ordered their Mango Cheesecake for dessert and that was by far my favorite dessert. I love anything Mango so that was a nice treat to see on the menu. The reason why I dropped a star is because at the end of the night we wanted to take pictures by the pool (like everyone does) and our waitress Winnie was nice enough to bring us over there and take photos for us along with accommodating our stuff so we can enjoy the view. We were sitting their for almost a good 45 minutes and a security guard came over and yelled at us for sitting there when we were specifically brought by our waitress and she said it was okay and he had the nerve to be extremely rude to us. While he was yelling at us I saw people doing the exact same thing we were and he never once spoke to them about it. Very unprofessional on his part and not a good look for the restaurant. Our waitress was nice enough to bring it up to the manager and the manager told her he would speak to his staff member. So hopefully this gentlemen does better next time. The only thing that I can say positive was the hostess were very helpful and were able to get us a table last night It ends there. Service was awful. No service was so bad that awful is a compliment. First drinks. My friend ordered his drink I watched other tables order and get served. After 15 minutes the waitress checked in and asked how we were doing we asked about his drink and it came in 5 minutes. Appetizer we ordered two they came out 10 minutes apart. The shrimp cocktail was the one that came last. How is a cold dish so far behind the other. Dinner my Mahi tacos came out. 15 minutes later two of the other dishes came out. I went spoke to the manager about the food he came to the table and saw three out of four plates and said that's unacceptable and left he never came back to apologize then about 5 minutes later the other Mahi tacos arrived. Swung by after work on a Wednesday. I'm new to Delray and work close by. I kept hearing about how great this place is. It is not. The outside bar isn't open. Indoor bar is packed. I told the bartenders I'd never been there before. The guy was nice, the girl had an attitude. So I ask for drink menus. I take a look. Wait a while. The girl looks up to me and says "you drinking?" I ordered and gave her my card to close out. I'm standing and my feet are killing me. I wait 15 minutes. I call her over and ask where my bill was. "Oh, I was locked out of the system". I told her to please take my check when it's ready to the outside bar (5 steps away). I waited 30 minutes and it's like she purposefully didn't want to do that. I head inside and she immediately gives me my bill without a word. Tipped her nothing. I understand we all have bad days, but this is not the way to treat any client. I'm from Miami and have been to plenty of spots all over. That has never happened to me. Shame their customer service is so terrible. The place itself is not much. Save your money and go to any spot on Atlantic. Won't step foot at Rosewater again. read more

The food was great, drinks were pretty good and it's a really beautiful outdoor cocktail lounge on top of The Ray Hotel. The DJ was so bad. Did I really just hear Christopher Cross? (There's no reason to play that anytime after 1986.) Our server was really nice which made up for the music. Then, the check came perfectly folded for us to just add the gratuity and sign. I was curious if a tip was already included and had to hunt around for the itemized check. Buried and folded at the bottom, I find a 20% "Service Charge" along with the regular tax and subtotals. Gratuity is not mentioned anywhere else and certainly not on the slip I was about to sign. I ended up leaving an extra tip for the server since the DECEPTIVE MANAGEMENT is not her fault. They'll probably ignore this review anyway since the place was packed with plenty of people who will remain unaware. read more

Rose Water Rooftop could be a five star experience except for the inept management and young and inexperienced servers. Our server was a bartender and she was really too busy filling drink orders to serve the several tables she had. It took us over 30 minutes to order lunch and the place wasn't too busy at 2:30pm. When we flagged her down to order, she thought we wanted to close our drink tab and she came with a receipt! The blacked chicken sandwich was good ($20) and fries were an additional $7. The Super Food Salad was very fresh and came with grilled chicken that I did not order ($19 + 7). My beer was $9 and came in a can. The foliage was extra tall around the perimeter so you cannot see much which is really dumb. The umbrellas aren't set up to shade the outdoor tables at all. Also dumb. The whole experience was slow, painful and disappointing yet it could be so much better. New management is desperately needed! read more

Went to the roof top bar for lunch. Cool vibe, ambiance and views. Wished more places did outdoor rooftop dining so glad that it was considered in the design. However. A very short menu for lunch and 15% of the items were unavailable. Even the drink menu had items unavailable. Service was very poor. Waitress took order but no appetizer even came out. My father ordered a beer and asked four times for it. It came at the end of his meal! The waitress did try and make amends for the bad service offering us a drink that was made in error from the bar at the end of service - but at that point it was just damage control. Thus they deserved 1 star over 0. Hopefully management can train the staff better. I could notice other patrons were also upset by service. read more
