Awful! Absolutely awful. I went here for the first time to get a builder gel fill, and the technician rushed through the job and broke three of my natural nails that I had spent months growing out. She was so forceful and kept filing underneath the nail until my natural nail was broken or in one case, completely gone! The result was a lumpy uneven Job with damaged nails. I am so furious. Martine does an outstanding job with my nails. I live in Utah and on occasion I visit the Palisades. Every time I am there, I make sure to get a Manicure appointment with Martine. In addition to a beautiful manicure that Martine does, I have one nail that cracks down my nailbed. When Martine fixes my nail - it lasts for over 6 weeks plus and my nail underneath can begin to grow out normally! I went to Rosie & Nails 2 with my step mom on a Sunday afternoon at around 3 for two mani pedis. As soon as we walked in it was clear that they had a large appointment at 4 and they started rushing us immediately. I typically spend 5 minutes or so picking a color, but after I picked up the second bottle of nail polish to check out I got pressured into choosing it by my manicurist. She took it from my hands, told me it was very pretty, then had me sit down. I actually liked the color so I was okay with it, even after I pushed back a little bit. I'm not sure if the quality of my manicure and pedicure was due to the rush or a lack of detail, but I have definitely had better nail jobs. You can visibly see a difference in the first and second coats of polish, and there are a few bubbles in the polish from being so thick. It has been two days now, and I can see where the polish is disconnecting from my fingernails, and its moments from flaking off. My fingernails also look drastically better than my toes. My toes matter to me drastically less, but the polish job mildly looks like I did them myself last minute before going out in open toed shoes. There was polish on the skin around my nails, which comes off in the shower but it still seemed like it was just thrown on. The redeeming part of this experience were our neck massages. We both got 20 minute neck massages and I found mine to be great. She was clearly experienced and the kind of massage that I love. read more

I usually go to my favorite nail salon in Santa Monica but decided to try this one for a change and the ladies here are not friendly. A different costumer even came in complaining about a rash she got in reaction to a service she received here, and idk what that was about but doesn't sound good. My son was having an emergency in the back seat of my car so I turned my hazard lights on in the alley and i got yelled at by an employee to move. Went to Rosie's a handful of times but this will be the last . This time not only did one of the technicians pass over a dirty file to use on me after I saw the feet it was used on had a toe fungus. Then when they added up my total they charged extra for things I never asked to have done. I was very clear that I wanted a mani/pedi No callous remover no massage . Then I paid and she tried to argue I said fine and paid for the in wanted service she never used a cheese grater on my heels or anything more then the normal pumice 30 second scrub. I asked for my change back since I had no intention of giving her a $10 tip. She claimed she had no change to give me. read more

This nail place is always so packed and I genuinely don't know why. They have really old nail polish and add alcohol to not have to buy new ones. They paint nails like kindergarteners. I understand that it's the palisades but they over charge way much and expect more than a $5 tip. read more

The nail salon welcomed me as a walk in on a busy Wednesday afternoon. They had plenty of options for nail colors - both regular and gel. My gel manicure took about 25 minutes. While this isn't a luxury nail salon they get the job done and not for a bad price - $32. I will say they could improve on their quality of service - they used paper towels instead of cloth towels dry my nails, wash clothes were stained, etc. Overall they did a great job with technique and worked on me quickly. read more

Worst nail experience EVER. Spent a little over two hours getting the worst manicure ever. I was sassed and hurt with the nail file as well. I paid ONE HUNDRED AND FOUR dollars for the worst experience ever. DO NOT go to this nail salon. The only reason why it is in business is because there are a bunch of regulars who are old and don't have the vision to see how bad their nails are. Frankly I am SO angry. I rarely (once every couple years) go to Rosie's because it's expensive. But it's a pleasure whenever I do stop in and I was shocked that my polish change was only 7. In the ugliest salon ever, my regular SB salon with great people and service, it's 8--to sit in a garish and carpeted dump with duct tape on the pedicure chairs. The quality is top-notch and there used to be two in the Palisades. I used to go in the mid-1990s to the one on the other side of the Village. I don't know what the current gel or mani/pedi price are but I'll definitely be coming back for polish changes when I don't have gels. P.S. Definitely not pleased. I work nearby so I stopped at Rosie Nails on my lunch break. I sat down and they started removing the gel on my nails after I waited a few minutes (no problem). I then made sure that they would be doing my gel pedicure at the same time they did my nails and reinforced that I was on my lunch break so I had limited time, they kept saying "yes yes" they would be right with me to do my pedicure. A girl finally came over to begin removing the gel and then before finishing left to assist another customer. I was irritated, but didn't say anything. Another girl came to work on my pedicure when another customer came in who was frustrated that she had called 30 minutes prior and they said they could take her and then they wanted her to come back tomorrow once she came in. As she was about to leave, they told her they would work on her right away. I told the woman doing my nails, I'm assuming she's the manager or owner, that I was on my lunch break and I would be very frustrated if the girl doing my pedicure left me again. Well she left again and I waited again. They kept pretending that the gel wasn't ready to be taken off my toes, which was a complete lie to buy them more time. My nails look fine, my pedicure is matte and not shiny... not happy. I will absolutely never return. They are all about getting the next person in and not ensuring that they are giving good service once you're in the chair. read more

I arrived from Bainbridge Island WA, where I live in the forest, and have a huge organic garden that I dig in daily - I also play piano and keep my nails short -- garden soil hardens cuticles so I also have a tendency to pick at the dead skin and boy that can hurt sometimes if I pick too deeply. My toe nails are ok, but my big toe on one foot has fungus. I sound terrible in the nail dept don't I ... I have a mani-pedi about once every year and didn't during covid at all. I was so embarrassed to have Helen work on my toenails but she didn't flinch. She was so kind. I don't remember who worked on my finger nails, but she also was so good and made my nails (which are short) look beautiful. For $71.00 I got a great mani-pedi plus a shoulder massage. And I left feeling so much better. I highly recommend Rosie's. Oh on top of which, I came directly from the beach and they didn't flinch about that either! read more

Came in as a walk-in and waited about 15 minutes before I was seen to get acrylics filled. As she was doing mine another lady with an appointment came and the woman doing my nails told her she didn't have time to do her (because she was doing me) yikes.... I asked for ombré French manicure. Halfway through her doing my nails she asked if it was okay if I just picked one color cause she didn't have time to do French ombré .... so I said ok I guess just do all white with a matte top coat. That was a mistake. My nails were supposed to be coffin shaped and like 4 of them are and the rest are square. The shape looks weird and the nails themselves are super thick. The polish is piled on top with an awkward looking matte top coat. ON TOP OF THAT I was charged $62 FOR A FILL. Highly disturbed. read more
