My son and I split the Super Burrito and it was big enough for two. When we sat at the table, we were served chips and salsa which was unexpected as a fast food joint! When the food came we were offered three different types of sauces to use including an avocado based one which was AWESOME! All of this and we only spent $9 which included the burrito and one drink (I had water). The burrito was great with REAL beef (not ground). Definitely going back. read more

I tried Rosie's Kitchen for the first time today. It was delicious!!! I had the beef burrito which was wonderful! My 4 yr old got cheese quesadilla which he devoured! I can't remember what my hubby had, but he was really happy with his meal, too. The best part....my office is right next door! I'll be back again. We've been to Rosie's about 5 times, and there will be more! The food is all great (i prefer #10 carnitas), the sauces are so good, i love to mix the habanero sauce with the avacado sauce. My mother, 4 year old son, and I tried Rosie's tonight. We found this place thanks to Google and the reviews seemed really good. Well, the good reviews are CORRECT! The restaurant is modest but clean. The food is WONDERFUL and reasonably priced. The family who own this place are so sweet. (Happy 5th birthday to Alexa.) We will be back very soon. What a horrible experience - I ended up not ordering anything because of the way I was treated. My husband wanted to try out rosies kitchen because of the great reviews and I saw someone else post on here that they made her a vegan plate for $5 and posted a picture. So I didn't see why not, we can totally check it out. I didn't feel at ease as soon as I walked in and there were kids running around the kitchen. 1 strike. No one was at the counter where we had to say um excuse me? Can you help us? That was the 2nd strike. Then when I got help the guy was completely rude, uninterested in our order. But enough was enough when I went to place our order. The husband wanted 2 tacos, side of rice and beans. That came to $7.95 and I ordered vegetables, side of beans and rice. He then said it would be $11 because vegetables are expensive making our grand total $18.95. So I showed him the yelp review and picture from 2 months ago of the other yelpers plate. He laughed and said that person didn't get her food for $5. He then ranted on how they fired a girl for giving too good of discounts to customers. That was the 3rd strike! I just can't believe the customer service I received with all these great reviews. I ended up going to a place that is always very nice when we go. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Excellent home style food , more like going over to a friends house for a home cooked meal . Rosie runs the kitchen and her husband is in charge up front . He always greets you as you enter and always has a smile . The nice thing is that unlike other Mexican restaurants, this is no tacky Mexican objects hanging on the wall and no one is wearing a sombrero.. it has a nice warm family feel and is nice and relaxing . I highly recommend the Carnitas , which is my go to in any restaurant, and theirs is in my top 5 . Go , relax and enjoy at Rosie's , you won't regret it . read more

A little hole-in-the-wall across from the Tualatin Commons, but some of the finest Mexican food on the planet! I had the chili relleno and it was the biggest ancho pepper I ever saw. My husband had a combo plate and said the enchilada was different than he was used to, but it was delicious. It's family-owned and they're great people. Tried this new place based on a friends recommendation. It was delicious! Having lived in California most my life we always had great Mexican food but have found it very lacking here in Oregon. Rosie's is a nice find. The food is very fresh and not covered up with sauces and cheese and heated in a microwave. It is authentic. I had the taco, enchiladas and flauta with steak. The tortillas were handmade. They are served with three types of sauces. The beans were so creamy and the rice was moist. The owner comes and talks to you and the young men serving were friendly and attentive. We will be back to try other things. Rosie's is small and not fancy but we loved it and will be back. Rosie's put together food for a luncheon taco bar for an event that our company was hosting. The food was so delicious that all 20 people got up for seconds and thirds. We even had quite a bit of food leftover we were able to help some hungry folks in need. Luis was very friendly to work with and his wife is an exceptional cook! Our first visit here for late lunch on 01/09/17. Restaurant is small and decor sparse, but the authentic Mexican food is very good and the prices quite reasonable. Found this place by accident, went there because of great yelp reviews. Very happy that we did. We had the fajitas, quasidillas, and super burrito (all vegetarian) and loved it all. The super burrito was especially good. Food was very authentic (I'm from California; I recognize good Mexican food and the very clear limit of it in Portland.) The owner was super friendly and nice.
