Parking is plentiful which is helpful around this time. Be prepared during the season though, for lines to be backed up to the end of the store at times. Of course it's a hunt to find any treasures, and sometimes you leave empty-handed. You can find some good things, but be warned, if you haven't been to a Ross before they can get extremely messy. There are often clothes strewn about, or in the wrong place. They box up most of the makeup and Skin Care now, so that is helpful. They even started to get some more name brands, such as drunk elephant recently. I was disappointed recently when I bought a really cute pair of slippers, that literally fell apart within the first week. I only wore them around the house a bit and the whole bottom stitching on the soles just came unraveled. It seems no matter what day you go here, they are always busy if you don't go first thing in the morning. Great thing about the holiday hours is they stay open until like midnight and open around 6:00 a.m. I am also glad that they finally updated their systems, and if you lost your receipt, they can look it up with the credit card you purchased with as long as it was within 30 days. This is extremely helpful for me as I often lose track of receipts, and they don't have the email receipt option like TJ Maxx or Marshalls. It isn't till the level of Marshalls or TJ maxx, but Ross is a must for me tol hit up occasionally to look for great finds.. They are often the cheaper of the three as well.

Since it's small there's not a huge selection. This time I walked out with nothing, since they didn't have the things I had been looking for. I found some items at other stores, so I'm trying them in different locations hoping to track down more. It helps that there is a row of parking spaces right in front of the entrance, including a few handicap spaces. Also the standard checkout bank feeder line at the register.

The parking can be a bit of a nightmare almost any day, because it's in a plaza with several other popular businesses, one of which is a Target in very close proximity. If you don't go first thing in the morning, it's going to be pretty busy and hard to get up close parking especially during holidays. The inside of the store is kept pretty organized considering how busy they get, which is a plus when trying to find things. The makeup area is one of the areas that can get a bit messy, and people are constantly opening and trying items, and leaving empty boxes. They finally started locking up some of the more popular brands which I'm glad about. However there are a few that they hardly ever lock up but should, like Pat McGrath. Ive found numerous empty boxes of their lipstick. They get new inventory pretty often, but as to be expected there is often limited sizing or numbers of pieces. I see people come in here and fill up carts with all sort of things that they probably don't need but can't seem to pass up a good deal. I only buy what I need and it's usually black or white Shaka shirts that are good quality, don't fade, shrink and hold up during a vacation. No need to iron if you fold them neatly. I really haven't purchased anything else. They have a weird variety of shoes but have all available sizes. They also offer all sorts of snacks and drinks. I've never purchased any of them but I'm sure they're worth the risk lol.

I'm usually looking for food items like spices and sauces, and kitchen gadgets and organizers. I also come looking for work needs, like cute glasses and ramekins. Selection of those items definitely varies with the seasons, and they have a great selection of Halloween, Christmas, and even Easter items. I've also come looking for a gift multiple times. There are a lot of great items in the pet section, and they also have the collections of items from places like India and Indonesia occasionally. The line to check out can get long, as this is a smaller store. I've never had an issue with the employees, they all seem nice. HG seem to be in high-traffic shopping centers, and this one definitely is. Parking can be an issue at peak times, because of Aldi, BevMo, Staples, and restaurants like Cali Fish Grill, Primos, and Board & Brew.

I tend to buy medical items, vitamins, and seasonal things at this Walmart. If I need other items that aren't available, I go to San Marcos, or one of the Supercenters in Poway, Vista, etc. Parking lot is small, and has maybe 12 handicap parking spots up front. Depending on the day and time, it can be hard to get one. Staff are nice, but always busy and overworked. Most things seem to be in stock, maybe because it's not as busy as some of the other locations.
