There's another Ross in Kaneohe! I've only known the one in Windward Mall but this was here beforehand lol! You know I just had to give them a peek but was a bit disappointed as it felt like it was the forgotten location. This Windward City Shopping Center location layout was kinda strange as some sections were combined with others and felt like it's not filled with items like the other stores as I tried looking around and it just wasn't finding the bargains only giving the meh vibes throughout the store along with the staff. It's great that there's lots of parking at this shopping center which does make it very easy to access and love when I find that item at a great price though I know that the finds are a hit or miss and hope that it will be a favorite place as I do like this convenient location. I rarely go to this Ross Dress for Less inside of the Windward City Shopping Center, as I live in town. My adventures to Ross Dress for Less are mainly to kill some time before I head to my dentist appointment which is nearby. Although this store is rather large and stocks up a lot of items, the thing I noticed most about this store is the very slow and long lines. The very few times I came here, when I did find some DEALAGES, after taking my items to the line to pay, I found myself stepping out of the line & returning the item back to the shelf as I did not have the patience to wait in the very slow & long line. Maybe if I had more time, I would brave the line. Lol! Access to this particular Ross Dress for Less is pretty easy since this store is located at a major mall - Windward City Shopping Center (where the KFC, Foodland, & KJ's Local Grindz is) with lots of free parking. Located at Windward City Shopping Center, this Ross is still busy because it shares the parking lot with McDonald's, Foodland, Starbucks, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. It is situated between Sally's Beauty Supply and L&L BBQ. It seems to have more customers on Tuesdays when it's Kupuna Day (people over age 55 get 10% off). Ross is known for its discounted merchandise. Name brands such as Coach, DKNY, Michael Kors, Nike, etc. can be purchased at significantly lower prices than at normal retail. I really like Ross! I've found Dodgers t-shirts, Lakers caps, shoes, pet toys, Hawaiian print tote bags, kitchen gadgets, towels, personal care items, pillows, art supplies, gift bags, cookware, and many gifts here! Customer service is not the best on returns. So what good is it to find a bargain if it turns out badly and you cant return it. I had my receipt but not the bar code on the product...who keeps bar codes on ice trays! The ice tray i purchased cracked. $4.49 return was not accepted because I did not have the original bar code even though I had the receipt. My total purchase was $35, and I just wanted to return an item that broke with normal use. She was clearly happy about my dissatisfaction. Such a sad unfortunate soul. read more

LOVE Ross, but shopping can be hit and miss. At times they have a great variety and ample supply. If you find the same item priced differently, take them to the desk and they will make the adjustment for you. Decorative items are excellent, although not always to my taste. Nic-Naks galore. I head to Ross when I need my sugar-free coffee/cocktail syrups and if we have guest and need fresh pillows, etc. Plenty of parking and since Foodland, KFC, Starbucks, Genki and Tamura's all share the mall there are tons of options. read more

Absolutely enjoy shopping here! This is the anti-Walmart and the anti-Costco and I love it! While not everything in this store is made in the USA, there are many products made in the US and in human-rights friendly countries and I like that immensely. I have purposely avoided all products made in China since 2012. I don't shop regularly at Costco or Sam's Club, or Walmart or any other store that overwhelmingly uses made in China products to keep prices low. I really like how Ross keeps it fresh by offering lots of international goodies each season. But my favorite reason for shopping here is the low prices on quality baby clothes! I'm a grandfather of a couple grandkids (yea cool!) and a Hanai grandfather of several others! I love seeing babies grow and this is the best place to obtain shopping bargains for baby, toddler, and infant clothing. I don't know why others have given Ross such low ratings.... every time I come here I'm always greeted so warmly by the security guard (love seeing security guards... makes me feel nostalgic for the old days when I'd accompany my parents to the neighborhood bank!) as well as the other staff and cashiers. This Ross is solid as far as Ross stores goes has it all. Ross is one of those stores that no matter what you always have to go with your patience in hand. This Ross store is no different yes things are a tad disheveled but that did not deter me or my friend for hunting for treasures. I had been looking for bath mats for my two bathrooms for almost 2 months now and I found them in the color that I wanted at Ross for $4.99 a piece. I also enjoy looking at the pajamas that Ross at because well let's face it I love pajamas. I scored two bathmats two sets of pajamas and one workout shirt for less than $50 in the state of Hawaii I think that's a good deal. I also thought the customer service at this location was pretty solid as well I was greeted as soon as I entered with a very friendly welcome to Ross. The clerk at the cash register was very nice and seemed happy to do her job and was as fast as she could be the line was a little long but she was moving along as fast as she could. This will definitely be my go to spot while I am here in Kaneohe Hawaii. read more

Thus when we had an opportunity to go and check out the newest location in Kaneohe (in Windward Mall) we decided why not, as we were already there for the Farmers Market. Plus we had to pass through the store to get into the main Windward Mall area where the farmers market event is held anyway. Thus on the way back out, we did a little browsing & shopping in Ross. The store is pretty organized, neat, and it covers a pretty big area, as that was the former Sports Authority store. Frequent shopper here & had such a bad experience ! I understand how short handed stores are right now but it was a complete mess - worse it's ever been. I was picking up things from the ground in a few aisles so the wagon would fit, things falling from the top shelf since the pole was hitting it from sticking off the shelf almost hitting me on the head & to top it off the cashier was, is, always very rude + didn't have enough change in here drawer (gave me what she could showed me the drawer and said I don't have change thank you) it wasn't very much but it's the principle. This Ross is convenient for me as it's close to my work. I usually shop Ross for my dresses that I have to wear for work. I teach at a local Christian school so my attire must be modest. Knee length dresses are most comfortable for me and Ross seems to have a great variety of styles that are both fashionable and appropriate for my job. The staff here is kind and make you feel welcome even though I know their job is difficult. I don't think I would have the patience to maintain a store like Ross. Returns are easy with the receipt although I have rarely had to return things to Ross. Recently I was looking for an ottoman with storage and Ross was the place! Great deals and great finds. You just have to have the patience to dig deep to find them sometimes. This location is not the nicest presentation wise, the kapolei location definitely has them beat; but it is convenient for me and the staff makes the trip worthwhile. read more

If you can't hack the 11pm closing shift work a daytime. Duh. To treat regular customers like S**t all the time is so unprofessional.its not Ross's policy to close early but these lazy unambitious chicks just reveled in it tonite. I will be contacting their Corporate office however many times I have to about this bc I have spent way too much $$ at Ross to be treated so poorly. It's kind of unreal. This location is one of the few that opens extra early! I love the hours! The selection is good. Same as other ross locations where you really have to hunt down treasures but they definitely have good stuff here. On Tuesday's it's senior discount day so maybe stay clear unless you qualify lol cuz it gets packed. The staff all seem friendly and there is never a time where there's only one cashier ringing as far as I've seen so at least they're on it. It's pretty clean inside, I haven't seen piles of mess or clutter so that's nice. The parking can be crowded but there's a bunch of parking all over the shopping center you just might have to walk a bit fiurther. Located in the shopping center near Servco, this is another store close to the one in the mall. They are similar but there are slight differences, such as some items not available in the other. There are plenty of parking stalls, since it is shared with the rest of the other businesses. If you can't find something in the Ross at the mall, try looking in this one. read more

I have a love hate relationship with this store. It always has great deals. But some days it just a hot mess. Toys, clothes, shoes, bedding and other things all on the floor. As a mother of 2 toddlers, the store is not always stroller friendly. But even with all of that I still like shopping here for the bargins. I love a great deal and I frequent Ross' at LEAST once a week. Bad habit, I know! :/ Why the three stars for this particular location?? Service or lack thereof! Talk about a big shimmering bucket of sunshine! Lisa is always especially helpful. Her willingness to assist me with my purchases/returns/exchanges is always greated with a smile and positive attitude. NOT! The difference with the Kaneohe store than the 3 town locations (Fort mall, Keaumoku, and Ward) is that there are NO lines, and they are organized! This used to be one of the better stocked Ross stores on O'ahu. Not so much anymore. Lots of empty space on the racks. Parking lot is free, but crowded. Tough to find open space anywhere close to the store. Tough even to leave the parking lot when the time comes. Just a hot mess. Customer service is the pits. Was there earlier this year [2015], waiting to get into the dressing room when the chunky rent-a-cop pulled aside the dressing room clerk whispering something to her while looking at me. Then the security guard stood to the side, watching. I noticed the two young women in front of me had their clothing counted and were given number cards and let into the dressing room. Next it was my turn. But this time, the clerk "frisked" my clothing, squeezing it to make sure I wasn't smuggling something in the pockets. This measure was not done to the young women ahead of me. When I left, my clothes were squeezed again. If I wasn't smuggling something INTO the dressing room, what would I be smuggling out? Doorknobs? Hooks? Mirrors? Hinges? Sheesh! After paying for my purchases, I asked to speak to the manager. I told her about what I saw with the security guard and how I was treated. That if they wanted pat down people going into the dressing room, then they should pat down everyone instead of profiling people and singling them out. This isn't the only Ross I received the same treatment. But if they don't trust older people, why lure us into the store with their Tuesday specials? It's the ONLY day I visit Ross stores and I haven't for a while now. Funny, I find people in Hawai'i to be more honest than anywhere I lived on the Mainland. And yet, it seems we're treated as if we're thieves. I don't steal, don't need to, don't want to. One boss called me "more than honest," whatever that means. And I don't spend my money where I'm treated poorly. You get what you pay for. Lower prices, but wasted time spent in long lines with not enough cashiers and a lot of disrespect. read more

I love Ross stores in Hawaii -- I always find great buys. And they seem much cleaner and more organized than on the mainland. This particular store was our go-to place for some cheap Aloha shirts for the husband - especially when you're looking for a dressy shirt to wear to a wedding, not the casual "make that two mai tais" type of shirt. I love shopping at Ross, who doesn't like a good deal?! I also love having a Ross in Kaneohe since Kaneohe is lacking in places to shop at. However, this location REALLY needs more cashiers. On a Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m., I stood in line for 40 minutes. Yes, 40 minutes! I really didn't want to stand in line for 40 minutes but I was buying something that I really needed and knew if I came back later it would be gone. There was only ONE cashier open and ONE cashier for returns. Basically, people kept returning stuff leaving only one cashier open for everyone else and the line was 3/4th to the back of the store. There were many employees on the floor just talking story or restocking stuff, I'm sure they could have called more employees to help at the cashiers but this didn't happen until about 38 minutes passed by. One extra employee came to help at the registers, and she rolled her eyes when asked to open a register. I told the employee I had been standing in line for 40 minutes, she just rolled her eyes again and said uh. No smile, nothing, no thank you, nothing. Rude. Cold. Another thing I subtracted a star for is that people are constantly cutting in line at this Ross. They stand in the short return line to purchase items without actually returning anything. The employees just let it slide. As a strategy, I think I will buy cheap extra items the next time and plan to return one of each extra item every time I go to Ross, so that I can stand in the return line for 2 minutes instead of 40 minutes, cut in front of everyone BUT actually return something and at the same time make my new purchases. read more

I like the jewelry section but it's kind of hard to get anyone's attention to see anything, even after you take a number- not sure they use it consistently. Always nice deals but kind of unorganized. Be patient and you'll find what you're looking for eventually. The men's section is kind of limited though. The biggest shoe sizes are like 9 or 10.. shirts they carry 3XL but I could only find one Aloha shirt in the small section and wasn't sure I loved it. They always have a decent selection but the organization of the store seems to be declining. Many items are scattered throughout the store making finding something you line in your size difficult so you really need to look on all racks and all sizes so you don't miss out. I found a beautiful top in the small section which was not a size small and Lord knows I am not a size small. Never would have found it had I not ventured into that section. The dressing rooms also have many broken locks which need to be fixed as although there are quite a few women's dressing rooms so many locks are broken I went in 5 before I found one that worked. Maybe that was an omen but I am persistent when I am shopping. Still have great deals if you take the time yo yo through everything carefully. read more

The cashier didn't ask if I wanted a bag and as the receipt came she turned around to start a conversation with the other girls at the other registers. No thank you so I just left. Love to go to Ross to buy clothes and luggage. They have a great selection at good prices. I love to go up and down the aisles to see all the goodies that you might need. If you are lucky, you can find some marked down items for additional savings. They also have a good housewares section that I always enjoy looking at. read more
