I've been shopping here for more than 10 years, I've been traveling to this store with my scooter for the past 5 years, I've always been allowed to park my scooter inside, this time the new security guard (black lady) was rude and dismissive and did not allow me to park it inside. I left and went to the Ross on Ventura and the 101, I was allowed to park it inside and was greeted nicely, I left with 2 bags worth $147 and I'll definitely be back to that store. My entire family of 5 will not shop at your store anymore. That's one sure way to chase your customers away. I spend about $2000 annually at Ross. Ross - Your loss. read more

I have never been so humiliated in my life! I went to this establishment to get my mom a Birthday present and I was asked to leave by an employee, and a loss prevention worker. The employee that asked me to leave was out of breath and almost hyperventilating as she expressed that " She was refusing me customer service".. I asked her what this even meant and she laughed and told me that I had to leave I heard she understood her breathe call me white trash!!!! I had a face lift so I was in a ball cap and sunglasses. I thought profiling was against the law. I shop at Nordstrom, and Saks and here I was asked to leave at a discount store. I literally felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty woman during the scene where she was asked to ekabe on Rodeo Drive. Terible. Ross is now asking their customers to leave their stores.. No problem! This is the best location in my opinion. It's definitely got the latest hours and space. The Tarzana one is okay, but has less product. The Encino one is tiny and very unfriendly, although the parking is easy. The Sherman Oaks one is very good and two stories, but parking is tough and it feels crowded, although it's because they have a good amount of stuff. The Northridge one feels like a cyclone hit it, as does the Fallbrook one. This is my fave. If you know what you can get easily at Ross and time it right, it's great. I'm sad that they got rid of the exchange and return line, but it's still a great place. read more

I was buying some things for my son and I, I had some beanies and the tag popped off. When I go to the counter the girl asks me if there was a tag, I tell her yeah it fell and give it to her. She tells me "THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT ONE" as I'm explaining that it is and there's more in the other aisle go check she turns her back to me and asks her manager I assume. They both ignore me. My wife and I stopped by this Ross on the way home because I needed to use the bathroom and I knew Ross would have one. At first I thought this Ross was closed because there construction happening around it but when you get closer, you'll see the store is still open. When you walk in, there someone to greet you and also guard the only exit. The store is pretty organized and a decent size. I didn't see any clothes on the floor. The bathroom is shared next to the fitting room and there someone monitoring that area as well. I was going to use the bathroom which the door had a keypad but the lady said someone was in it. Only 2 ladies walked out but I didn't see any men's but after another lady walked out she said I can go in. This Ross is in a decent size plaza with enough parking spots and it has more parking spots in the back. read more

If I could give this store zero stars I would! The manager here is awful. (Associate # 650296) As a manager myself I know what's expected. This mf was being super rude when I needed help in the jewelry department. He said they were under staffed but with the nastiest attitude. We waiting and then we asked again for help and got the same shitty attitude. I understand it being understaffed but there are other ways to respond to customers. When asked if I can speak to a manager he answered that it was him and what are we going to do about it. I could not believe this mf was saying this. My aunt works for Ross/tjmaxx and he asked her for her name because he was going to talk to her supervisor. For what when he was being the asshole and to top it all off he claimed we were stealing. Pretty repetitive collection of items... hard to find something that stands out. Some of the cashiers are really friendly and some come off as condescending (though I don't think intended...) The place is usually scare with customers, care and sales items... The parking lot is huge and if you actually drive pass ross in the parking lot... there is a another lot behind the building. I was just there a few hours ago. The security guard was the only nice employee we encountered. My mom and I were looking at kitchen wear. We found a nice glass cake stand we were interested in. We opened the box to make sure it wasn't broken sure enough it was cracked. There was a second box. We decided to open it and as we are opening it this rude employee named Marcela yells from across the aisle "DO NOT OPEN THE BOXES!!! YOU CANT DO THAT IT IS NOT ALLOWED" umm since when did that become a problem at any Ross store?? I said to her how am I supposed to know it it's broken or not. She said "well you can always return it?" Nope! no I can't! is Ross going to pay for my gas? I don't think so. Everybody around us was in shock of how loud and rude this lady was to us. Another shopper came up to us and said even if you go home and open it, you're going to come back with an open box. I said yes exactly! I shopped at this Ross for the first time yesterday and just had a super uneasy feeling. The staff were rude and just weird acting in general. I also felt as if I was being followed. Like every section I moved to I felt loss prevention was following me which was weird. I've never had a reason to steal and I've never had anyone follow me or any issues at other Ross locations. It's funny bc I saw someone actually stealing and I just chuckled and walked out. Worst Ross I've been to in LA yet. I wouldn't recommend. We got here at 10:56 and the door was closed. We asked the security guard to open since the sign clearly say that they open till 11. He told us to wait and brought Paulina the manger. I was very pleasantly surprised by this store. Very clean, well stocked shelves...glad I did not read the reviews before I came in! The selection was excellent, too. I came in on a Tuesday evening, and there was only one person ahead of me in the line. Only reason they are not getting 5 stars is because the cashier (Young pregnant woman) took a call while right in the middle of ringing me up, and totally stopped helping me...didn't even hand me my bag after I paid-she was so engrossed in the phone conversation, I had to ask for it. I love a bargain which I usually can get at a Ross store but this Ross is very disorganized and hard to find things also it's not very big and there's usually one register open which is obviously very annoying you would think when the line reaches a certain amount people you would open another register.
