This Ross location is very close to the I-10 freeway. There is a Dollar Tree and car wash nearby. The parking lot is very large. From my experience, this store is very messy but well stocked. Prices are competitive. They have sales here and there. They have a lot of clothes, accessories, and home goods. There is a Target on the other side of the shopping area. read more

Shopping in Rosemead, California... I looked around at how people on the mainland dress... especially because it's chilly weather (47°F at night in January). Hmmm... I didn't bring boots or a cap with me. I only have sneakers and flip flops right now. Maybe I should get some closed toe shoes that I can wear to church at home... Ross is a reliable store that carries name brands at discounted prices. I found the closest one and went in... I found a reasonably priced pair of relatively comfortable shoes. Why not look around since I'm there... Gift bags, books, gardening tools, jackets, personal care products, etc. were all tempting, but I have limited space in my luggage, and the sales tax is higher here than in Hawaii. Somehow, I came across a BT21 shirt... and Sanrio... and more BT21... I had to get a shirt for my sister in Colorado! Perfect for her upcoming birthday! Yay! This was a very productive visit to Ross! This is an extremely large Ross, located within the SGV. With the large warehouse-like space, items could be spaced far apart, allowing customers plenty of room to browse. I did my typical browsing in the men's clearance section, and then hung around while my wife continued her shopping. Cell reception was not good deep within the store, and it has no public wi-fi. Selection were the typical brands at Ross, and unlike our local Ross, most of the shelves and hangers were well stocked. Checkout was easy, and the employees were helpful. read more

Pretty good Ross I came to this one (third one) really late around 8:35pm because there was a dress I really loved that I got at a Ross store and couldn't get anywhere else. I still couldn't find it but I found a similar one in a different color! Price was the same as all other Ross stores. There were a lot of clearance items but they still weren't worth the price... The security here is really nice and helpful. He didn't hesitate to help since I was struggling to get my kid out the cart. He helped take the cart back so I can go out the door. This Ross has automatic sliding doors, I don't think I've been to one like that before. read more

My wife's phone was stolen inside the store by a pickpocket. She reported incident to the security guard and asked them if they could look at their cameras. They were not able to catch the incident and told us that the area where it happened was a blind spot. How can there be a blind spot inside the store when the store was fully lighted. A lady approached us and said she was also pickpocketed from the same store but nothing was done to improve the security inside the store. It was never worn & they treated me like a criminal who who wore the item. It was an item for my brother - that was the incorrect size. Went here last night with partner to check out dog or pet items. The cashier is close to the entrance and exit door where the guard is standing by. After paying i passed by him since they have a check receipt policy like Cosco. The guard's tone in a rude manner open the bag! They threatened to call the police when I told them that their behavior towards me was discriminatory and I waited for the police to come to talk to the police about their behavior.... The police from Tempe City have not fulfilled their responsibilities as a person receiving a salary paid by taxpayers, when I asked them to check the store's security cameras to find out the truth because I wanted to make a report when I was treated discriminatorily. Ross is a big corporation but let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch, I don't think they can keep the business long term if they continue to hire remote employees and treat customers like that, no one will come anymore, and in the future they will close soon, employees will lose their jobs and look for other jobs, it's okay, only the owner will suffer. On April 12, my young daughter (4 year old) was hurt BADLY (her entire head hit the floor) after a Ross employee push her over at the Rosemead location. The employee quickly said "sorry" and walked away fast without checking on her. I spoke to the manager, but he didn't do anything about it. He was very rude and unprofessional. I also filed a complaint and never got a response. Very disappointed with how Ross handled this, especially since a child was involved. I do not recommend going to this Ross. I was extremely surprised with the amount of selections they had here. There was a variety of good selections wandering around in this store. I come to some stores and every now and then and find they are short on merchandise. My sister and I were able to cross almost everyone off our holiday list at this store. That hardly ever happens. They had so many things to choose from. Service was awesome. They all seemed pretty helpful and friendly, it was a little messy also but it could get a bit messy from the shoppers. The bathroom was clean and the staff lady near the restroom was very helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stop here for Holiday gifts. read more

Just left this Ross a bit ago , although the items are always nice... The customer service and filthiness of the restroom was awful! My young daughter needed to use the bathroom but it was so smelly, filthy and unsanitary that she couldn't even use it. Upon exiting the restroom I let the employee at the dressing room know the bathroom was very dirty and smelly and her response is "well the customers make it that way and the restroom is cleaned in the morning " . It was almost 7pm and the fact she responded that way was mind blowing I then asked if the restroom is only cleaned once a day and she said yes because that's the only time a janitor could clean it. Rude attitude and ridiculous! I've never seen a ross have a once a day bathroom clean up schedule for a store that is open until 11pm! I should have taken a photo. They even sell branded wear so I was able to purchase Calvin Klein slacks for $20, and still look bomb af at my interviews. [Holiday Season] I swear the best time to shop Ross is during the holiday season. I just came to Ross this weekend, and they were stocked with holiday goodies. They had 8 shelves of children toys and games. I even found myself browsing those aisles for a while to see if there was anything I would like. I found some Pop! Figures, Toy Story and Pokemon goodies. Their clothing racks even include Santa themed clothing, and lastly their stationary and art aisle was amazing! I'm a huge fan of stationary so I was in the stationary aisle looking at the 2020 planners like crazy! They have an assortment of nice planners that are within the $4 -8 range, which are amazingly cheap. The best time to buy planner is now since they have an amazing stock of it. I rarely see that many during the mid year compare to the end/beg of the year. Also, they offer Christian themed planners and notebooks as well. Before I forgot, their mugs are nice! They have classy, cute, basic, Christian-themed, and sassy mugs. You will need to dig through them to find the one you like. I was even able to find a nice Nickelodeon Spongebob mug! [Changing Room] I never had to wait for a changing room so I'm already impressed! They have like 20 changing room, and each have a mirror for you! [Only Con...] Is that you have to snag the goodies right away, or you can't find it again. They aren't like your Forever 21 store where you can shop online, since all store stock different items and items are based off the fashion trend in the area. Not only that, sometimes you find a nice blouse and you can't find your size so that really sucks! They don't do re-orders like other stores. Ross is basically a thrift store with new goodies instead of reuse goods! They only have what they have. [Parking Lot] Ross is located in a plaza. This Ross need a better manager. I wanted to shop at this new Ross and found a few items to buy. As I was waiting in line they don't have someone to help you check out. I went to ask the guy that greet you for someone to check out and pay. It took them ten mins and 3 people were behind me. When this manager came instead of helping out the check out line he help the return line that already have a customer service there to do that. He just walk by me and took the customer in return then I asked for the manager and he said he is. I said it's not fair to keep customer waiting on a check out line. So I went to the return line the. He took the other line to check out. He's just Fuken with me because he's the manager. This is not how you treat a customer that is gonna to paid. I find that the store manager, Paul Castaneda, at the Rosemead store lacks very basic management skills. The associate cashier working at the time has more common sense than the store manager. I went in to the store with a return. While I went to the return line, my family went around looking at various items we needed. There was no one at the return line and about 3 people in purchase line. There were only 2 cash registers open. While I waited patiently to be called, the line for purchases were called one by one. As I continued to patiently wait, more people came to the purchase line. Again, the customers for purchases were being helped while I stood there. Paul, the manager was standing by the whole time. Before one of the cash register associates called to another purchase customer, she suggested to the manager that I be helped. I'm sure she felt bad for me because I was standing in line for so long. Apparently, I was not welcomed because Paul, the so called manager, told her to continue helping with other purchase customers who just walked up to the purchase line. I was not called to be helped until no other new customers were at the purchase line. I find the manager's action to be extremely demeaning. There was no apology from him whatsoever. Apparently returns are not welcomed at this store. Needless to say, I was not in the mood to make any purchases after this incident. I had my family dropped all of the items they were ready to purchase and walked out of the store. I've shopped at various Ross stores in the San Gabriel area and have never had this happened. I work in the customer service industry and I must say Paul's management skills is really lacking. Like I said before, the cash register associate has more people skills than he does. As convenient as this location is for me, I will not be patronizing there as long as Paul Castaneda is store manager there. read more

In an economy when Ross is sprouting up more than Macy's, this is a good example of what stores are more recession-proof. The store is clean, the employees are nice, and overall, it is like any other Ross except it doesn't seem to have as much selection due to its limited space. Today while moving into my new home I decided to checkout my local Ross. Horrible experience. I'm not taking it personally as I know how crazy the world is with people stealing. However I was undeniably profiled and followed in the store. Every Isle I walk an associate would magically appear to look down to isle or view something near me. I intentionally walked to the back of the store to confirm if I was being followed and again one of the associates happened to walk down by me. I should not have spent $140 but I needed the items. I'll never patronize the rosemead store again. It's funny because in my old neighborhood there's a corner water store owned by an Asian couple ( not that it matters and everyone is not like that) for four years each time I a BLK male walked in to purchase they would follow me. Took my mom here on opening weekend. She was super excited to have a Ross near home. I personally, not a shop at Ross kinda guy but while browsing around, I found a nice dress pant that fit perfectly for 15 bucks. That made my morning :) So far the store is clean and organize, not sure how long that's going to last. The staffs are friendly. For opening weekend the line was super long but don't let that scare you. The line move pretty fast. Some isles are very small and it's hard to walk when people are there looking for clothes. Parking in front of Ross suck but if you're willing to walk then there's plenty of parking around. You can get some excise and burn some calories too. This plaza has everything now. You can shop, eat, then hit the gym after lol. read more

Unfortunately the absolute worse part of this place is the security guards they hire. These security guards are so annoying they make my shopping experience such a misery every single time, this is the main reason I'd rather shop at TJ Max or Marshalls. I spend a lot of money at Ross but these security guards make me so uncomfortable constantly passing by and looking at what I am doing, they literally make me feel like I'm stealing. People steal every single day at this place, and those that are actually stealing are the ones they least expect because they are that darn stupid. They work too hard for their own good but unfortunately not smart enough. It's about working smarter not harder. They are getting paid in vain, this Ross needs to hire smarter and more polite people. I will continue to make a mess in their store and giving them a really hard time, buying and returning stuff for no reason as long as they continue harassing the people the way they do.
