Usually this location is organized and well kept, but not during the month of December. I visited a week before Christmas to get some last minute gifts and I couldn't find anything, but I did lose my mind momentarily. It was chaotic and there were toys that had fallen off the shelves and tables, isles were blocked with either merchandised on the floor or other shopper's cart just simply blocking the way. Line was very backed up but the Cashiers were quick and I got through it rather quickly. Ross in general is a great discount store. I love the low prices for home and pet essentials. Just keep in mind, you can't leave the store with their carts, so buy what you can carry! read more

Had a very uncomfortable checkout experience as I was shopping with my grand child and daughter the MANAGER JENNIFER, was very rude to a customer who expressed she was postpartum and just had a baby and needed help carrying her items out since the store ran out of bags. I went to this Ross location yesterday and I found the cutest blanket and it was stuck on the top of the shelf I could not reach I'm to short. I looked for an employee and I saw one at the back and o asked if he could help me reach an item he told me to go look for someone else. There was a lady there to and she walked away when I asked for help. I asked him because he was tall and the only one in sight. He could have called someone but he just gave me his back and walked away. I went to try to get it my self got hurt trying so I gave up. I went to pay for my stuff and then as I was leaving the security was also rude. If the employees there can't handle their emotions and give good customer service they should not be working retail. I paid for my stuff then left but later that night went to a different toss and return the items because of the service. They treat you better at DDs discount and TJ max. read more

Wow this store is so clean, the line moved so fast and you could see that as soon as the line build up back up was called. The staff were so friendly and helpful in helping me find some things for my home. They have a wide number of selection for everything. Stay away, I have taken my wife there at least 20 times through the year every year she loves going to those discount stores. Couple of times in a row I've had to use the restroom. It is always out of order, So I made it a point to go in every time I go in to ask to use the bathroom every time in the last five years and more, they have been out of order, there is no bathroom that is out of order for that many years in a row once a week. This time after several years of going in there I complained and she says well, it's broken and I explained it cannot be broken for over five years every time I come in here as well, so I don't know what to tell you we're not gonna let you use it. It's broken and I'm not asking to use broken toilet I'm asking them to actually fix it if it is broken, but I'm pretty sure it is OK and they're not letting the customers use it even though it is a Customer bathroom. I wouldn't do a business with them anymore. I won't even take my wife there anymore. I take your other Places and I get a lot better service. And their men's department is really bad anyway very small very poor selection and some of them are actually kind of high prices. I don't think you're gaining anything there. And God help you if you've got to use the bathroom. Fortunately, Safeway is pretty much right next-door when you do have to go. Terrible manager terrible policies in the store. Not a very good selection for ladies available on a Sunday evening. Their clothes tend to run big on me, and they seemed to lack smaller sizes and appealing styles altogether. Luckily I was able to find simple, fitting clothing in the juniors section with the material I was looking for... works for me. I'm fine with 5 dollar tops and leggings that are comfy and affordable, and at least somewhat fashionable, even if nothing too unique. Service was slow. Two registers were open when I got in line, then one register closed once I got to the front of the line (an employee went on break). To make matters worse, the staff member at the single remaining open register kept stopping while ringing up my order, to tell another staff member who was walking around the store to restock returns that were sitting behind the counter (clearly not urgent) whilst I stood there ready with my credit card and the line of customers getting longer. Don't get me wrong, the staff was friendly (security, fitting rooms, front registers, etc.)... they just seemed clueless about good service. But in terms of value, based on what most Ross stores offer (clothing as well as household merchandise), it's worth it if you're not in a hurry. read more

I had a problem with some merchandise and had to return it unfortunately as I do not often return merchandise -- the store accepted the item in return for a full refund -- this made me a customer here for life. I rarely came here before but now I'll never come here. Ross needs to understand, it is not a membership based store with customer contracts, so has no right to impede the exit of customers and force bag and receipt checks. People - know your rights - you absolutely do NOT need to stop for these checks, legally. The security guard cannot falsely hold you there for a bag check. This is a giant waste of time and let's be real - it doesn't stop thieves! They'll just run out anyway. This only inconveniences paying, rule-abiding customers. I already waited patiently to check out and pay, in your understaffed store. Now you want me to wait in line for a security guard to check me? No! I don't work here and do not consent to it! Stop harassing customers under the guise of loss prevention. It's ghetto, ridiculous, dishonest, horrible service. read more

Ross always has great deals and great prices. This location is no different. Inventory: This Ross is on the smaller side. They do a great job with spacing aisles out, however, it is a lot smaller compared to other locations. Because of that, they do not have a wide selection compared to other locations. Parking: There is a decent amount of parking at this location. Though there are a decent amount of restaurants in the same plaza, so if you go around lunchtime or dinner parking does get scarce. Cleanliness: This Ross is pretty organized and clean. There were a couple of food wrappers and finished beverage containers sitting on shelves but there were no other issues. Staff: The staff members are always busy. They have very few cashiers and a long checkout line because of it. There are not many associates walking around offering assistance. read more

This location has wonderful customer service, good inventory and plenty of parking. there are always wipes carts and baskets at your service. prices are wonderful and the quality is wonderful. this location in particular happens to be about a 10 minute drive from me and it's convenient because it's located near other places where I run my errands. Only reason for three stars is because it can kind of be a hit or miss on the things I find. read more

The first impression during this Friday night visit was, "Is this place going out of business?" The place looks more like Goodwill, except with less goods. I haven't visited Ross stores in a while. Not for any particular reason other that I didn't need anything that involved stopping here on my way home. This one used to be a favorite over the Sunnyvale El Camino location which always seems to look like an explosion hit it. Getting back to my first impression, this place was NOT well stocked at all. Empty racks, shelves. Misplaced merchandise left scattered around the store. It looked as bad as the Sunnyvale store. There is only so much that can be done with the lack of merchandise. I used to think DDs Discount got the merchandise that Ross rejected, but, it's getting harder to tell what the corporate merchandise strategy is for both stores. (Yes, they are owned by the same corporate entity.) Supply chain issues do play a strong part. If I'm honest, this store has looked weak in product offerings for the last times I've visited, 2019, 2021. They are not getting the merchandise. There aren't as many department store goods for a Ross Store buyer to select for the stores (And, that is due to the lack of department stores, clothing stores and general decline of shopping malls.). My mission was to find some glassware. Not shot glasses, nor wine glasses. I was looking for clear highball and short tumblers, or sets. There was one set of multicolor crystal glassware on the lower rack, with some pieces missing. Okay, they have nothing. The adjacent kitchenware area was another example of a vain attempt to stretch what little merchandise was there, with the same results. On previous visits (and also at other locations), I have scored some great deals on Stanley, Craftsmen tools and car/home improvement items, like a Hansgrohe shower head. Not today. Friday night's selection was a plastic tool box tray, sink scrubbers, car air fresheners, and some electrical cords. Include knock-off brand batteries in lock boxes. Lots of dog toys. Wow. My purchase that night was a Pyrex baking dish and a set of clear glass containers with lids. If I came to purchase luggage, or toys, there was better luck with those departments. Men's department had a lot of cheap plastic shavers. I went to another Ross on Saturday (Westgate location). I was in the area and opted to return the glass containers (too small for my needs). There was more of a selection, however, the departments were spaced out. It's a bigger store. The nearby TJ Maxx at Westgate had a better selection than either of these locations. I might visit this place again, but it seems to have less and less goods. At this rate, Ross should renegotiate the lease and pare down the footprint of this store. They really don't need the extra space. read more

These people are so unhappy here. The store is empty and a mess. You pay right in front of security but they lock you inside the store until you show a receipt. Which is pathetic. The fact they lock the door on you before you can exit is and should be against our constitutional right as a person. read more

Was greeted by the security guard. A short woman with glasses. She told me no outside food or drink so I told her I'd put it in my bag. She laughed at me and said "is that going to all fit, even you're drink?" So I said I would go somewhere else. I was parked across the lot so walking back to my car and dropping off my food was not an option with my three year old with me she wouldn't want to walk back. Why couldn't I just put it in my purse or the cart? I used to come here all the time, but not after being laughed at like that. Home goods is a little further but they've always been polite. Pros: Ample parking space. That's pretty much it! Cons: Understaffed, employees are disrespectful and my cashier seemed racist, poor selection of items, clothes, rugs and other home decor were all over the floor when I came in when they first opened around 9am and last but not least, the location. Parking may be ample, however this Ross is located in a ramshackle building. Ceiling is super low and the aura was off putting. Better off shopping at the Brokaw location! read more

This store is unkept and disorganized. Shelves are mostly empty like it never gets restocked. I tolerated coming here because it's close to home. The so called Loss Prevention person talks and laughs too loud disruptive and annoyance to the shoppers. He thinks everybody likes to hear him talk. The last draw to keep me from coming back to this store again is when the loss prevention guy demanded to look inside the bag of my purchases, and to look at my receipt (not really checking its accuracy) even though he just watched me pay at the register 5 feet away from him. He said he must do it because it's written on the board. I felt like a criminal here by the way they handle their customers. Shame on you Ross, your store soon will be a casualty like every store that had closed its door forever. Your new business model is so disrespectful and humiliating to your customers. Came from Sacramento to return an item while in the area as my local Ross couldn't accept the return the Santa Clara Ross sold me an item labeled as 2 piece, so they told me to go return it where I got it because they couldn't accept the 1 piece- even though that's what they sold me. I had no idea it was even a 2 piece. So today, I finally went back and I stood in the returns line as the only cashier up front is chit chatting with security for a good few minutes about random things. It was an awkward few minutes as I also watched the line form until the woman finally decided to help customers. She immediately looks at the item, which is pure white and says that it's dirty because of a couple scuff marks. I had all the tags intact and my receipt. Then says I can't return it. I told her my local Ross told me to go all the way back to return the item since they couldn't accept it. And she was like "oh what a long way to drive, sorry I can't accept it. We can't sell it like this, would you buy this off the rack, it's OBVIOUSLY dirty!" I never once even wore this item. I asked if I could just get store credit and she said no and just waved me off, motioning for the other customer to come over. I've never felt more humiliated in a store. Thankfully I went to another Ross and they accepted my return without a problem. I wish I caught this woman's name. But her attitude was just completely uncalled for. read more

Don't waste your time here. On the rare occasion you aren't given a receipt for your stuff, trying to get help retrieving it is long and tiresome (sometimes a hopeless process) despite providing as many facts of your visit as possible. In fact, it's been over a week and still nothing. Any chance to talk to a manager or assistant manager ends up with no results and insults that are accusatory and dismissive. They don't put in the effort to help find the answer and just brush you off the moment something doesn't go right. Like one person, a manager, had already started finding you that help but still nothing had been resolved yet for at least a week, don't expect another manager to try to do any better by expediting a clear and truthful answer and getting your issue resolved. Miranda, the assistant manager, tried but she only did the bare minimum. She kept insisting I give her my debit card information, which is personal, because she said that it was a sure way to get my receipt. When that attempt didn't work because my transaction didn't exist for that particular register that she checked, she then tried getting that info from me again but I was hesitant but I told her to write it down so I didn't have to repeat myself. She kept saying "but you said this... you said that" just to waste time and not move forward. After that she kept screaming at me accusing me of being rude and I had to yell back. Not pleasant at all. It was clear we were both frustrated but yet still I had given her my debit card info and got absolutely no results. She mumbled quickly to call customer service, spat out some numbers and then immediately hung up. I called the store back and spoke to the initial lady who answered the phone the first time before transferring me to Miranda and she was basically telling me to call customer service too but I told her I wanted the local store's help, only they could help but they insisted I call customer service. Customer service said they couldn't get me a copy of my receipt and that only the store could do that. When I told them that they had been difficult to get help from, the customer rep called the store and spoke to someone completely different. When she returned she said I could go return my stuff. The day before that another manager named Julie said to wait on Davina, the one who started the process of looking for my receipt, to wait on her because she was the one who was closing that evening and she could get back to me but I waited the whole night and never once got a call back. I asked if Julie would be willing to help me get my receipt but she said she couldn't, Davina had spoken to her about it already and had it put somewhere that she didn't know where my receipt was, and that I should wait for her. So I asked her basically she could have helped but she was choosing not to? She hung up. All I wanted was answers and I got none until after a week later of waiting and asking about my receipt. I got backlash for it. No one should have to go through what I went through because of this one small issue. read more

Not a great selection of men's wear, but at least I was able to find an athletic shirt that agreed with me. Too bad it had a thread that was coming loose in one place. The clothes at Ross tend to be one-offs, so if you find something you like, that's the only one like it. Inventory was sorted mostly correctly. The sizes printed on the hangars matched the sizes of the clothing on them. How refreshing! One thing I thought was interesting was seeing two guys in "Loss Prevention" jackets hanging out at the front of the store. Way to build your image, Ross! read more

Great place to hunt for bargains, so long as you don't mind feeling like a criminal. The security guard goes out of his way to greet each person- maybe it's intended to come across in a friendly way but in actuality it's more of an "I've got my eye on you" way. Went here last night to grab a nice dress for Yelp's Black Tie event and found several viable options on the first rack in my size! Ended up debating between two but settling on one (though they were $17/ea), then hunting in the housewares department for some home decor objects. Ultimately also got an owl figuring to keep my car keys in ($5) and a fancy spray bottle to deter my cat from the couch ($2). The fitting room was a little awkward- as others have mentioned, the staff just stands there while you wait for them to give you a number, then they vaguely gesture at the sign saying to place your items on the rack. Guess it's a good shoplifting deterrent, but again, makes me feel as though I'm already under suspicion. As nearly every other review says, the floorplan of the register area makes people stand in one line to wait for an available register. No one shouted at us otherwise during my visit, but I can see how it could cause some confusion. Will be going back to find some good dresses or cute home decor/kitchen items at a good price, but perhaps if security did their job more effectively then it would not be necessary to have so many loss prevention strategies in place to make the whole shopping experience awkward. On the plus side, I found customer service at checkout to be very good- line went quickly, cashier was young and friendly asian girl who asked about my purchases and made genuine conversation while she rang me up. Perfect 'push my butt up there' pants for just $12, assorted colors. Tons of dresses. Very clean and organized. I went during lunch time and got too much to see and wanted to buy everything. Lingerie area is loaded with cute, sexy, cheap undies and bras, you cannot ever get enough of those, from sporty type to lace revealing, there is everything in there. Dresses section was also well stocked, great variety. Always fun to shop at Ross and this one is a nice organized one. read more

My favorite Ross yet! WOOT! You're not going to believe this... this store is actually pretty clean! Yes, I know, it may come as a shock to most. Seriously, I saw one person on the staff picking up stuff off the floor and fixing the displays the entire time I was there. The manager was also walking around, making sure everything was going smoothly. As stated in my reviews of other Ross locations, I don't buy clothes there. I go mostly for the framed art, statues, cheap boxes, etc. Please, don't count on this review for clothing, shoes, accessories or whatnot. The shoe department still look like trash, but I was able to look through about a hundred framed pieces in the art section. I found the last two that I needed for my redecorating purposes. Even with three check stands open, though, I waited in line somewhere between 15 and 20 minutes. Why must people insist on buying 80 pairs of children's clothing at a time? Seriously, do they have 12 kids or are they shopping on behalf of their village? Now for the gripe about customers! As I stated in my last review, about Target, I'm going to make this a routine on my postings. Read on, if you feel so inclined. I'd been waiting in line for about 5 minutes by this point, the line starting to have to turn before it ran into the clothing department. I had a shopping cart, big and blue with that stupid pole thing on it, loaded up with print which is approx 29x41 including the frame.
