Sudbury Speciale Pizza
Kristen L.

Pleasantly surprised by Rossini's. We ordered the Sudbury special. The pizza had the right amount of ingredients per slice. Sometimes I get nervous ordering pizza with arugula because some places dump a whole bucket of arugula on the pizza but not Rossini's. I appreciate the variety of ingredients on the pizza so you aren't just chewing on arugula. Rossini's adds just enough so the peppery taste of arugula evenly blends in with the salts of the prosciutto and olives. Pizza is delicious even on the 3rd day for leftovers. Can't wait to try other food at Rossini's.

A cobb salad, but really just a garden salad

worst meal and customer service ever. I ordered a Cobb salad. what came was a garden salad with half an egg. this was takeout, so I called and asked about cheese, chicken/turkey, etc. I was told this is their cobb salad...a garden salad with part of an egg. For this they charge $16.

overpriced and raw

sad excuse for a takeout pizza. undercooked (practically raw) and looked like it came from the refrigerator section of marketbaske.

Chicken Caesar wrap
C B.

Delicious chicken Caesar wrap! It has really nicely seasoned and freshly made chicken. Good meatball sub too.

Haddock was one finger width at the bottom of the lettuce sub

I would leave no stars if that was an option. Paid $11.50 for approximately 1 Oz. of breaded Schroder which tasted like pollock. The rest of the large sub roll was filled with shredded lettuce. When I called the restaurant to voice a Complaint I was told that they measured the fish. In my opinion they should either increase the portion to a normal size piece of fish reduce the size of the roll or reduce the price. I gave this restaurant a second chance after the last delivery in which the chicken parmesan sub tasted like a frozen, breaded Purdue patty. The name of the restaurant implies you are getting Italian food of fresh quality, but it is very poor quality for the price. This was definitely my last visit. Buyer beware....

a half eaten pizza in a box

The most basic, underwhelming pizza in Sudbury. Also one of the priciest places. Go to CJ's or Franco's!

Whenever we are in the mood for good (and plenty) Italian food we always head to Rossini's. I don't recall how I found out about the place, but every time we walk in we are warmly welcomed by the staff. We've tried most things on the menu that are vegetarian, and there are quite a lot of options. I really enjoy the Calzone (the dough is perfect) and the Stuffed Shells when I don't want to be overly full. The small Cheese Pizza is great for the kids (since that's all kids seem to eat these days). The only thing I would change is to make the beer selection a bit more robust. But that's a personal preference.

This place is awful! There quality has gone way downhill and their prices are always different - staff is rude and arrogant - go elsewhere!

I had to explain this to the waitress and to the owner. Not a place I would go to for a quiet romantic dinner. More like a college cafeteria atmosphere with alchohol. Food was OK. Rice was crunchy undercooked. Did not enjoy pulling chicken off skewers. Brought dish back to kitchen for staff to remove chicken off skewers. Where is the ambiance for removing chicken from skewers. Is this a new form of entertainment? New owners were too cheap to install proper ADA bathroom fixtures. Black toilet fixture from previous owner were too close to the floor. For compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the toilet seat must measure between 17 inches minimum and 19 inches maximum from the finished floor to the top of the seat, including the seat itself, not just the bowl rim. We will NOT be going back.

We took our two younger ones there for a quiet Easter Sunday dinner together. So many interesting things on the menu, we way over ordered. But everything was delicious. We had the pork belly confit, the cheese bread, the octopus, and the parm wings to start. They were all polished off quickly. Our pork belly did seem to have missed a sauce, but we just dipped them with the cheesy bread sauce and was very happy. My son ordered a few different skews and thoroughly enjoyed his Picanha, sausage and cheese and chicken heart. My youngest said the chicken hearts were the best she had ever tried. High praise from a kid loving chicken heart since just a tiny tod. My wife and I both ordered the ribeye over mushroom risotto. We order medium rare and both of ours came perfectly done. Both our kids thoroughly enjoyed trying our steak and risotto. My daughter and I both enjoyed mixing my son's Yucca mash with the risotto. She practically scrapped my plate clean. We all had our eyes on the pineapple, but all agreed we were overstuffed and will defer to next time. We even had leftovers to bring home to one happy Puppy. Will definitely return!

Overall the food tasted pretty healthy despite having pork belly and chorizo. The seasoning was definitely on the lighter side, where the french onion soup was tasting pretty close to an extremely light broth. Tried the cassoulet which I've heard of before but never seen on a menu. It was very hearty but also a but bland. Pulled pork and pork belly seemed to have zero salt. Duck leg confit also very bland. It was cooked well but just bland. The dishes with citrus were quite tasty. Beets and arugala salad very good, good quality goat cheese. Alligator chorizo grilled oysters surprisingly good. Never had alligator chorizo before but it was crispy and not fatty even though it resembled bacon visually. The oysters were small, even more small in comparison to the chorizo but it was a good bite. I would recommend skipping the clam chowder, french onion soup (not really caramelized onions to be honest), and the cassoulet unless you feel empowered to salt your own food. The clientele was definitely in the 60+ range. Nothing wrong with that obviously but tastes change with age and maybe thats why the seasoning was so light. Today there were just two wait staff for the whole place. Seemed understaffed and it took almost thirty minutes for food to come out. Waiting for the check took about fifteen minutes. Staff was nice but definitely overloaded. Today was a holiday though.

We had a reservation for a celebratory dinner, and I commented to ask if the special would still be on for that date. The chef/owner responded immediately that it would. Knowing specials often run out quickly, I called on the morning of the reservation, and a hostess said, yes, the special was still on. So we got there, we ordered, and we asked for the special -- the waitress said she'd confirm, and then came back and just said 'no, it was just for that day,' which was confusing. I explained that the chef and the hostess had confirmed that it was still on the menu and asked if it had run out -- again, understandable -- and she said it 'was just something we made for an influencer.' At that point, I didn't want to press the two 'no' answers, so we finished the dinner and moved on. I reached out privately after the fact as I wanted to see if there was a better way I could have communicated to the restaurant or asked for clarification, and asked if there was a better way to confirm information moving forward, and they never responded. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back.

We asked if the entrees came with rice and she answered and were about to place our order and she walks away to attend to someone else? Would have taken less than 30 seconds and there wasn't anything emergent that needed tending to. Comes back, takes the order (hunan crispy fish and shrimp with ginger and scallion) and the dishes are somehow out in 5-10 minutes. She practically throws the shrimp and side of rice on the table and walks away. Doesn't ask if we need anything else (we wanted chili oil). Another server brings the fish dish and asks if we need anything who we then inform about our request. The original one then comes by and throws the sauce on the table again. The shrimp dish was heavy in red onions and barely had ginger or scallion. The sauce tasted like soy sauce and a starch slurry with nothing else added and it was way too salty. The fish was weirder. It had a breading on it instead of a cornstarch/potato starch batter. The sauce also did not taste like oyster sauce and it tasted like the sauce sautéed with veggies was added at the end so nothing melded together.with the fish. The sauce was overly sweet. Some customers left the table next to us and she sat down in their empty seats and starts looking at her Apple watch. She never once filled up our waters but did for the other customers and did ask if they needed anything else and gingerly places dishes on their table. Felt extremely racist. Avoid this place. Acting like a high school student forced to work a summer job and begrudgingly doing so except she was much older, immature, at best rude, and at worst, racist.
