Called last night and everything I said to the girl on the phone was questioned. Complete confusion. She apparently thought I was ordering pizza rather than subs. Ok. Laughed it off and continued. I ask for a 12" cheesesteak with absolutely nothing on it but American cheese. She says "provolone?" Nope. American. I say "not toasted" and she says "toasted?" Nope. Then I order a buffalo tender 6" sub. Confusion again. Should have been simple. Go to pick it up and they are both 6" subs which was irritating because my boyfriend worked 15 hours that day and hadn't eaten yet. I said something about it but decided I just wanted to go home rather than wait for it to be corrected. Get home and open up the cheesesteak sub and it was full of peppers and onions and lettuce. They acknowledged at pick up that the girl who took the order wouldn't be working there much longer. Maybe you shouldn't have had her taking orders to begin with as it's much too big a task for her. It's some weird combination of greasy and sweet, but not in any good way. The sauce is awful, not fresh or salty or sweet, just awful, and the cheese? I was in Johnson City, NY this past week for work. I went out to a crappy Thai Restaurant of which I did a review for as well, in which case I was still not satisfied as I was still hungry that evening. I Googled local pizza places near me and I chose this place due to what it offered on the menu. An "Old World" Pizza. That's similar too a Sicilian style, I ordered a medium pizza with pepperoni and anchovies. God Bless America, the flavor was Amazing!!! Thin crust everything was Perfect. Honestly this place has been a long-time favorite of mine. I don't know if it's just recent but I've noticed that the staff has had sort of a "depressed" kind of vibe. Also, the wing prices have gone up and there is a mandatory tip charge. I have no problem tipping at a place where I sit down to eat, and receive wait-staff service. But it's kind of rude and dishonest that I spend 17 dollars on a dozen wings and a side of French fries, only to be short changed 1 dollar because they have a mandatory minimum 1 dollar gratuity. I love the food, and this place has been awesome for a very long time.. but come on. You can't just take more money from the customer without at least telling them there is a mandatory gratuity... As for the food, the wings were nice and crispy, had a wonderful taste and the blue cheese was a great dipping sauce (I got the medium-flavored wings). French fries were good. Short and sweet review of my favorite thing to eat at Rossi's. THE ROAST BEEF SUB Rossi's Roast Beef sub is amazing. First and foremost, they bake their bread every morning, and it is soft, fresh, and absolutely perfect. I don't know where they get the rest of their ingredients from, but the basics are high quality - bright white mayo that has a little zip, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, and sub sauce (italian dressing) that I could drink by the glass. The beef itself is always medium rare, and I'm fairly certain that they roast it in house. The massive 12-inch sub comes it at under $9, and Rossi's just knows how to do it right. It's always fresh, always delicious, and always leaves me wanting more. If you're feeling bold, go half roast beef, half capicola, and add hot peppers. read more

The pizza is inconsistent but their subs are amazing. I can't pick a favorite but their roast beef, Philly cheese steak, meatball, salami, and pepperoni subs are fantastic. They bake their own rolls daily and they are always perfect. As another reviewer pointed out their roast beef is great and I'm pretty sure that they roast it in house. The best part of Rossi's subs? Their sub sauce. I don't know how they can make oil, vinegar, and a few spices taste so good, but I order extra with everything except the meatball sub. Used to be a good place for pizza and subs, not impressed now. Pizza is so-so. The sauce is boring, no flavor and no sweetness. There is barely any cheese on the pizza. It's like eating bread with plain canned tomato sauce on it. Lot's of other places are far better. They skimp now on portion size of sides and salads and the staff is less then friendly. Their prices have gone out of sight and the quality has gone down the toilet. Even the pizza at Little Caesars tastes better at a fraction of the cost. It's quite evident they have forgotten standards. If they are going to raise prices, they may want to raise the standards to match the price first. I don't recommend Rossi's any more, it's not worth what they charge. Try Joey's or The Original Italian Pizza. Both are in Endicott and have better pizza. read more

Ordered round pie half plain half sausage , it was good. Ordered 6 garlic parm wings which were way over cooked, small and really had no flavor, threw them in the garbage. Went looking for a fish fry last Friday and a quick Yelp search pointed me to Rossi's. Overall I was quite pleased and surprised by the fish. Unfortunately the lid wasn't perforated as in Em D's experience so that may be based on who's working. However, the fish was still crisp by the time I got it home. I was expecting a traditional fillet of haddock when I opened up the clamshell so I was surprised to see it was actually 4 or 5 strips of breaded fried fish, more like fish and chips style. I'm a big fish and chips fan so I was very pleased to see this presentation. The flavor too was very good. The fish tasted as fresh as you can expect and the breading was just the right thickness with good flavor. The fries were good, crispy and very plentiful. The coleslaw tasted like generic preprepared coleslaw but that's alright. My only real issue was the price. It cost me around $9 I think. It was not an absurd price for the food and arguing a couple bucks here and there isn't really a big deal, but I would see it as a $6 or $7 meal instead. read more

Picked up a sheet pizza at Rossi's yesterday; 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 plain for a pool party (well, a pandemic party with only 3 kids so we could social distance outside). Curbside pick up in my old neighborhood in Endicott, NY. I remember passing this little family owned market every day on my way to school. It featured staples, ice cream and candy novelties and imports from Italy. I attended school with the owner's daughters. This neighborhood is rich with Italian culture, and although I am not Italian, my family enjoyed the sights, sounds and smells of the north side for many years. We lived just up the hill, and my sister and parents still live in the area, so I get to return often. There are 2 things I crave when I get into town: speidies and PIZZA. In my opinion, these are the 2 signature foods of the area that must be experienced by any visitor of this small town. That said, "pizza" in the Italian markets on the Northside is like no other I have had anywhere. When I was growing up, it was displayed on the counter of every Italian corner store or deli covered with butcher paper. Rossi's is one of 3 places (in my opinion) that makes the best pizza in the area. The sauce is on the sweet, spicy side and is plentiful. The cheese is not a stringy, elastic mozzarella, but a mild, almost creamy combination that I have yet to identify. It's just really yummy. (They know what they are doing, that's for sure!). The crust has a wonderful chew. It's cut into squares and is a drippy, yummy mess when it's hot. And it's just as fabulous cold. Growing up we served it at every event: graduations, baptisms, school events, birthdays....it was hors deuvres, if not a meal. Rossi's did not disappoint yesterday and all the nostalgia of my childhood returned with each bite...then jumping into the pool! They forgot to include the paper plates and napkins, but other than that, they were quick, wore masks, and the pizza was hot and delish. it's a 5 stars pizza experience for sure. This is my far worst place to eat hot subs I ordered the steak and cheese pizza so greesey n soggy I couldn't eat it and it cost 11 bucks plus another 1.00 for sause ... only place you buy food at n they charge u extra for sause .. even when they should come with it .. the calzones r very big n good but pricey... and u have to pay extra buck for sause so you will spend 16 for a calzone .. pizza great .. but because the subs was so gross and you have to pay extrA for sause 2 star..pizza is never constant. Well, I am shocked! We order from Rossi's on a regular basis (3-4 times a month). We ordered two subs, a salad and pizza rolls for my 7 year old. The delivery took 1 1/2 hours and they forgot the pizza rolls. No big deal, mistakes happen. However, Sam, the manager, offered me nothing but a promise that he would get the pizza rolls here ASAP!! We could smell the cheese and sauce right away. The smell made our mouths water. We couldn't wait to eat it. The pizza had a lot of cheese. I love Rossi's Pizza! I am able to get dinner for my son, husband and I, all in one place( I am gluten-free.) Before I was gluten-free, I loved the pizza. Great Crust, Great Sauce! The gluten-free pizza does not taste any different from the regular pizza and I have NEVER had any problems with being contaminated with cross-contamination. The Anti-Pasto is generous! Rossi's pizza has always been one of my favorites! they have some really good pizza, especially the chicken wing! They also have good fried pickles with ranch! They also sell wings and fries and many other random items for any type of event such as a party or just a relaxing night to watch football. They do deliver so that's very convenient. It is very reasonably priced and the portion sizes are pretty large and the staff is always very kind. One thing to be aware of is that if you are the one paying, they won't accept any one but your credit card, which can be a pain in the butt since my mom always sends me to pick up the food and use her card, can't do that anymore! That could be a good thing but its also inconvenient. As far as going and sitting down to eat, its definitely not a restaurant its more for carry out and delivery and it almost seems kind of dirty in the seating area. read more
