Wow! I can't believe I haven't written a review, so here goes. This bakery has donuts, muffins, cookies and Kalachis. I usually just get one and normally the maple syrup glazed. However the chocolate. Strawberry, plain glazed are all delicious. In fact all the bakery items are yum yum. My favorite thing to get is their black signature coffee. It has a cherry flavor and tastes really good, especially with a donut or donuts. The even better thing, is it only costs $3 for the large 20 oz. Round Rock Donuts also has other speciality drinks both hot and iced. The service is always splendid. Everyone is in a good mood and you do not need to tip. So the cost is really nice compared to other restaurants and coffee shops. There is drive-thru, window pick up, and outdoor seating. There is corn hole equipment set up for the kids while they have a donut. The bathrooms are pretty clean too. So if you need a sugar fix or just some MOJO, don't forget to give Round Rock Donuts a try!

My absolute favorite donut shop in Austin and nearby areas! Now that there are two stores, it seems like the lines are just slightly less long. Their service is also extremely quick and efficient! Although their glaze are their specialty, I personally love the chocolate glaze and blueberry cake donut. I always try something new when I come here, and this time I got the maple. Not my favorite but still a good donut! Side note, their kolaches are amazing and I strongly recommend getting one to try!

Let's get into one of my favorite donut spots of ALL TIME! ---- Pros: - The dough tho - The drive-thru is fast - Very fresh and warm - No gimmicks; Focused on taste - Two locations Side Notes: - OG store opens at 4.30 AM and closes at 6.30 PM - Cedar Park (CP) opens daily at 5.30 AM - Check times for CP location for closing times (Varies) - They do custom cakes, too (order) What We Got: - Dozen donuts (we chose vs assorted) - Donut holes (glazed) ---- Design/Space: We've been to both locations. The OG location in DT Round Rock has seating, but it's always busy. There is not much to see, but it feels like every other donut location. However, the drive-thru line keeps it moving (a well-oiled machine) at both locations. Drinks/Food: Round Rock Donuts stands out immediately for its signature golden-yellow color, which results from using fresh eggs in the dough instead of artificial coloring (winning!). Each donut is hand-rolled, cut, fried, and glazed, which gives it a distinct, pillowy texture--light and airy inside, with just the right amount of chew. The classic glazed donut, eclair, and chocolate-iced donut are the favorites. Also, we're all human and prone to mistakes, so double-check the order to see if it's assorted and large. There have been a couple of times when I didn't get a specific donut that we ordered. It's good don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure I get the vibe. It is a very unique recipe, the dough is yellow and icing has an orange tint? We went through the drive thru on a Sunday around 11:10am, and got thru within a few min, so pretty fast. We got 2 glazed, 1 chocolate, 1 maple, and a dozen donut holes for $7.16. We liked all of the things we had, but it is a very rich donut! I'd recommend getting a water to wash it down. I'm sure we will come back!

I am so pumped to have a RR donuts in Cedar Park! Why? Because the original location has lines out the door and cars idling in the drive through FOR-EV-OR (Sandlot voice). Round Rock Donuts are known for their orange color, which comes from the fresh eggs used in their batter. The bakery has been using the same ingredients and recipe since 1926, and the donuts are made by hand. The great glazed donut isn't the only sweet thing that this bakery has to offer, but it's certainly the one thing that piques the interest of first-time Texas visitors. In reality, Round Rock Donuts has more to offer than just donuts and coffee, and everything they're placing in their display case is worth the trip. It's a cliche phrase, but everything is bigger and better in Texas. It's true for our ranches, towers, high school football stadiums and even our donuts. And in line with the 'bigger and better' moniker, Round Rock Donuts is known for the Texas Sized Donut that has really created a buzz outside of the state. Many people come from all over just to have a donut that is literally the size of their heads. These donuts are by far superior to any donuts within the Central TX region. #supportlocal

I love Round Rock donuts. I've been a long time customer for more than a decade. Their donuts are delicious, and the price for a dozen is a steal. I also enjoy getting their kolaches. Their donuts are so unique because of the color from the eggs in the dough. Most recently, we bought donuts because we wanted local flavors for our wedding. They literally FLEW off the donut wall and were an instant hit with our guests. My only regret was that I didn't buy enough!

There is so much more behind these AMAZING donuts!! This is a mom & pop local establishment and not only are the owners proud of that but so are the employees. They won't take tips. Why? They are proud to tell you it's because they LOVE working there and the owners take care of them. In a city where other companies lay off their long term employees right before retirement (think DELL, a once local company where service years USED to mean something but now folks are laid off after been there for 25+ years with amazing performance) without a blink.... Here at RR donuts they have a growing local company, on food network many times, and whose employees are speaking about the establishment with pride saying how long they have worked there and they don't need tips and don't want locals pushed out or anyone feeling like people are nice just for tips. They don't just say it, it is consistent every single time through ACTION. At RR donuts everyone has service with a smile and with extra goodies in the bag. Because the owners do the same for the employees. They look after their people. Not because they have to (any company can make $$$ and be cruel) but because they are just kind people who like to bring smiles to their customers and because they love their job. On top of all this, they have delicious coffee (please don't sleep on their coffee as you will be missing out) and of course amazing donuts!! I come here all the time and get donuts & the coffee carafe for visitors, construction working on my house, friends, family visiting. Thank you RR donuts employees and owners for never changing your core values and company mission & ethics!! It gives some of us old timers continued faith in a world where longevity, loyalty, and service are long gone!! This is a great location, and the donuts are perfectly made. They taste great! I was a bit hesitant, and I am from Round Rock, but wow still a perfect donut! Exact same as RR Donuts in the RR area (obvi), love it because it's closer to me and I won't be stuck in all that RR traffic which is horrendous no matter what time of day. Took 5-10 minutes to order and receive donuts on Easter Sunday, prices are the same, donuts are AMAZING like always. Will always be coming back for these delicious donuts read more

Okay, I'm a donut-a-holic and being a Northeast girl you know I'm die hard Dunks through and through, but I gotta say... RRD had me impressed!! It took me some time to come around to them because the first time I tried one of their donuts it was old and the frosting kept falling off and I did not understand the appeal. Fast forward to the opening at Cedar Park and I was RIGHT ON IT. Love me some classic glazed. Super airy and light, you could eat at least five and not feel the guilt until you step on the scale in the comfort of your own home (considering throwing mine out due to my donut addiction) but that's okay because I know I'll keep coming back for more. Bavarian creme filled and cinnamon twists were right on point too. I had a positive experience with low wait lines and chipper staff. Overall, go get you some donuts! And if you don't, then you will most surely see me there!! read more

The classic, but improved. The donuts at this satellite location are lighter or more airy than the one at the original shop. I don't know if its a new direction or the new crew aren't following the old recipe 100%. Hopefully they stay that way. Got our go to Cinnamon Roll, Glazed and Chocolate. With the more convenient location, I can see us branching out to the other items the bakery has to offer. read more

We are very loyal to our doughnut shop back home. We usually never find a doughnut that is anywhere as good as the ones at home. These glazed doughnuts matched the ones back home. That is saying a lot. They were warm and very good. We ordered a lot of different things though my fav was the glazed. If you are near here stop by, you will not be disappointed. The woman who served us was so nice and helpful. We had an all around great experience. read more

It's cool to finally have two locations of Round Rock Donuts. Even though this location is more out of the way for me, I still prefer it over the OG. It seems the owner of the business took some notes from Chick-fil--A on how to maintain high traffic customer clientele. There is plenty of parking, so you can walk up to the "To-Go Counter" so to speak. Or, you can of course use the drive through. There are folks directing traffic at every stop of the drive through, taking orders ahead of time with a smile. Same great quality! These minor improvements only make this business that much better! Hopefully they will consider expanding down south of Austin in the future. read more

I absolutely love round rock donuts always have. The new Cedar Park location is super convenient, there is rarely ever a line. Even when there is a line, it moves super fast. The area is nice, clean and there is a little area for you to sit and enjoy your donut's if you choose to. read more

SUPER soft donuts! It was so soft that it squished immediately after picking it up! Tastes amazing! Highly recommend the glazed donut! That's what they're known for and it's delicious! The kolaches are not the best but not bad! The line was extremely long when I went but the service was decently fast given how long the lines (standing and drive-thru) were. There is no space to sit inside at this location but there were a lot of people just standing and eating outside. read more

Meh. Made a detour to go to Round Rock Donuts for a cup of coffee and fresh donuts. It's been a while since I was last here and it's just not up to snuff with my past experiences. The donut was warm but flat as a tire. The cinnamon roll was crusty and cold. And worst of all, the coffee was not even warm. The server offered to make a new batch, which I appreciated. But either the coffee maker is not heating well or she gave me back the same lukewarm coffee she had already served me. I was so disappointed. No urge to return to the much hyped Round Rock Donuts now. read more

This place is AMAZING!!! Blueberry cake donut and coffee were delicious! I always get the regular glazed but wanted to try something new! It was not super dense like a standard cake donut it was more sponge cakey! But still very delicious ! The coffee has a nice nutty flavor too! read more

Terrible. I don't know whats the big deal with them. Sunday, waited on line in the cold. I made my order list the night before. Got home, missing 2 donuts. the donuts were squeezed into a box squeezing them together to make sticking together. The cinnamon roll was large but dry. Not sure why they are orange. All my flour is white or light brown for whole wheat. My guests were not pleased. I know it will be a conversation at get togethers. read more

The way that this place is dangerous to my well being...... just opened walking distance from my office. It's truly hard to not grab some on my way to work every day. Do yourself a favor and become your office or household favorite by grabbing a dozen donuts and some kolaches. read more

I went to this location for the first time today (3/23/2022) around 10:30AM or so. The line was somewhat long but moved quickly. The items I wanted were available. I got 2 plain glazed doughnuts and 3 chocolate doughnuts. The lady that was managing the drive thru orders had the most bubbliest customer service I have come across in awhile. She was extremely sweet and I hate that I didn't get her name. They have me an extra glazed doughnut which was really nice of them. It's the little things that matter. The doughnuts were delicious and tasted super fresh. They were airy and soft. I plan to return to try other items. Thank you again for the excellent customer service. read more

I love round rock donuts but today my husband went through drive thru at 10am and ordered a dozen donuts and two kolaches. They handed him two dozen and the two kolaches. He thought they were just giving him an extra dozen for free like they did on opening day. I guess it was his fault for not asking the total but they charged us for both. So glad y'all opened up a little closer! The employees are so friendly. The sweet guy at the register this morning informed me they were out of fritters (ordered and paid for 1) so he asked if I'd liked something else instead or he'd be happy to refund me. When I told him it was totally fine and I was good with whatever was faster, he handed me 2 bags of different donuts and donut holes instead. Great customer service! read more

My fiancée and I usually buy a whole tray to cater to our friends in the morning. Service: 10/10 baristas are always so friendly and efficient Boba: 10/10 Price: $5.25 for a large boba milk tea which is cheap for Austin! Around $2~$3 for pastries on average. Ambiance: 7/10 this place gets PACKED and there isn't much seating so usually it's take out only for me. I wouldn't really consider this place great for studying.

They seem to have their act together following the Rona guidelines and a very nice person will assist you by selecting your goodies from the cases. The sweet empanada was my favorite. We also purchased pumpkin pig cookies, & concha sweet bread. We bought enough for two hearty servings and we looked forward to having these delights with our breakfast the next day. They did not make it past noon! They also have premade sandwiches and the Cubano sandwich caught my eye for my next visit. Nice people, great prices, and a wonderful variety of pastries!

He asked for a vanilla cake with a whipped cream and fresh strawberry filling. They had used a white buttercream instead, and also put an inedible fondant covering the entire cake. This turned what was supposed to be a light and airy strawberry shortcake into more of an overly sweet and dense cake, I do want to note that they did not ask any follow up questions about what to use for the cakes icing or anything of the sort (which I find strange especially at this price point for a small cake) when my husband sent in the request. They also told him they put candles in the box, but there were none. We tried to reach out to the business to resolve this offline, and they did not respond. My neighbors were hyping up RRD big time, so I say to myself, we're going. It's 8 am and I hoped in the car. I ordered 2 kolaches with cheese, one maple, one eclair, 2 glaze, 2 chocolate. I also ordered a latte and regular coffee. The kolaches are not authentic, very dry and somehow did not have cheese as ordered. All of the donuts taste like grocery store donuts. They really aren't special. I give two stars because they were really polite and the coffee was good. read more
