We decided to do a DIY gravel patio extension for our backyard and came here for the decomposed granite and gravel. We are honestly not that familiar with landscaping, and the workers here were super friendly and prompt to answer any questions that we had. They directed us to what our base should be, and have pricing sheets readily available for all the different landscaping materials available. The location is right off 620 (super easy to get to from 45) and there is plenty of parking when you arrive. The front area has all of the different gravel styles sitting around with labels which include size. The selection was better than the other local landscaping supply store, and they offer delivery based on # of cu/yds ordered. I would recommend to bring or rent a truck. The cu/yd purchase is much cheaper than by the bucket. We went with their newest gravel "Jelly Bean 1-1/4" and it was something around $12.99/bucket and $135 for 0.5cu/yd. The decomposed granite was cheap at $5/bucket and we paid ~$30 for 0.75 cu/yds. I will say they don't measure the cu/yds out perfectly (it's just a giant tractor they scoop the gravel up from and dump it into your truck bed) but the service was quick and easy. I'd definitely go back here for another DIY project in the future! We met a few other people in the lot that we spoke to (customers) who said they have been return customers because the workers are so helpful. read more

These guys are extremely immoral. They delivered a truckload of gravel in October. The truck malfunctioned and spilled hydraulic fluid all over my gravel driveway causing permanent staining. After ignored calls and emails, they officially refused to help clean up the mess they made. Don't give people like this your business when there are plenty of other honest vendors to work with. Made the trip all the way from Georgetown, picked some concrete slabs we liked and came back a few days later with the car seats removed so I could transport the slabs home. I pay for them and sit by my car waiting 20 minutes for someone to load them and have to go in the office to remind them I'm there. When they do get someone out they load from a different pallet that doesn't look like the stone I picked out and drove 40 minutes twice to come get. I try to get them to give me the stones out of the pallet that all look the same. The owner comes out and rudely tells me they're all the same. They don't look the same AT ALL. I told him I didn't think they were the same and he could be lying to me. He goes absolutely berserk yelling at me and tells me to take my business elsewhere. read more

These folks are great. They are flexible on delivery schedules and are very helpful at selecting the right amount of rock. After using over 4000 lbs of limestone to line my flower beds and fences, i was 40 feet short and they were accommodating with me picking up a few stones at a time, instead of some large bulk order. read more

We purchased 4 loads of concrete pavers and black rock for our home from this company. Each time the loading of the material went fine until the last load. The employee dumped the rock into our truck bed and in doing so dumped rocks down the outside of our truck. This left chips in the paint everywhere the rocks hit. The two employees that were helping us immediately realized the mistake and led us to the owner. When we got out of our car the owner quickly told us there was nothing he could do and that we shouldn't have used our personal vehicle to pick up the materials if we didn't want any damage to our truck to happen. There are many other places around the Austin area to get these materials and better customer service. I wish we had read the reviews here and on Google about the owner's behavior and driven a little further to find better service. read more

Check the actual gravel you are buying yourself. Don't believe what you are being shown in the samples in the office. We purchased 3/4 -1 1/2 inch gravel and we estimate 50% of it is tinier pebbles, none of which were present in the sample we were shown. I don't like to write reviews, especially negative ones, but I'm so tired of the pervasive self-serving fraudulent behavior people are willing to exhibit today, such as this, so here it is. Buyer Beware!! Poor Product Quality & Terrible Customer Service TL/DR: My landscaper bought 2 pallets of white patio stones from this business. The rocks on one pallet were stained a black/grey color in an unnatural pattern (invisible at the time of purchase due to stones being stacked). We showed a picture of the stains to the owners, but they assured us the stains would wash off. I made several efforts to wash the stones, but the dark color does not come off. I informed the business, but Manny very rudely said that I should have known natural stones are inconsistent in color and that there is nothing they can or will do to help me. Round Rock Landscape Supplies made it very clear that they are not interested in doing anything to resolve the issue or accept responsibility, so it is too late for me, but hopefully this will serve as a warning to others considering purchasing from this business. The full story for those interested: -I purchased 2 pallets of "Mexican White/Cream" patio stones through my landscaper for ~$1,450. The stones were sold in bound pallets, so it was not possible to see each of the stones at the time of purchase. When we unloaded the pallets at my house, most of the rocks on one of the pallets were stained a black/grey color in an unnatural square pattern in the middle of the stones. -We pointed out the issue to Round Rock Landscape Supply, and the manager assured us that the color would wash away, that it was simply moisture from the stones being stacked. I took the manager's word for it and we installed the stones, planning to pressure wash them after. Shame on me for trusting this business. -We made several efforts to wash the stones, but the stains did not come off. I even had a professional stone cleaner try different cleaning methods on the stones. The cleaner said this staining was nothing like he had ever seen before. In his opinion, the coloring was not a natural stone color, there was some kind of deeply embedded unnatural stain, and that at the very least the stones on one pallet did not look anything like the stones on the next pallet. He felt so bad about the way I had been treated by Round Rock Landscape Supply that he did not charge for his visit. -I called the business back to let them know I was not happy with the stones. I spoke with a rude and disrespectful individual named Manny, who avoided addressing the issue for weeks by telling me on multiple occasions I needed to speak with a manager and that the managers were out for various reasons. I provided a picture of the patio as evidence of the poor product quality. Several weeks later, I called back again and Manny (still no sign of any manager) said I must have put cement on the stones to create that color. When I told him this was the condition in which we received the stones and that the manager had told us the stains would wash off, Manny changed his story and said that this was the color of natural stones and the natural color was beyond his control. He acknowledged that the business had said the stains would wash off and the cleaning chemicals they had recommended, but then told me that I should have known stone cleaners can only wash so much color off. I told him I did not feel that I had been treated honestly and fairly, and Manny told me in a nasty tone that I saw the color when we purchased the stones (which is not the case since the stones were stacked on a pallet), that my landscaper must never have worked with natural stone before, and that I must not want natural stone at all if I wanted some "perfect" color. Rather than any remorse on the part of the business, I was given a laundry list of excuses and told that the issue was in fact my own fault. read more

I was trying to find black rock. The samples they had of black pea gravel looked like it would would work. I bought 17 dollars worth, but hafter 2 rinsings it would not get as dark as I wanted. I don't want to waste it so took it back only to find out all sales a re final. I wish that had been more clear other than a small line at the bottom of the receipt. You would think that for 17 dollars they would want to make the customer happy. I left the rock there as i didn't want to waste it. read more

This business sold us a terrible product and did nothing to make it right. We are so disappointed by our experience with them, and wish we had not given them our business. Our landscaper ordered cream patio stones to build us a long-awaited patio. When the stones were laid out in our yard, we were surprised to see the stones had a strange dark grey-black color. We showed the business owners pictures of the stones, and they assured us that the dark color would wash off with a pressure washer and some chemical. Sadly, after the patio was built, the stones did not come clean. We even hired a professional stone cleaner to treat the stones, but the black color did not come off (he said he's never seen anything like it). Now there is nothing we can do to have the patio look the way we want, other than demo-ing the entire patio and starting over. It is a huge disappointment. When we called the company to ask for help, Manny did not offer anything to make it right, and was extremely rude and accused us of causing the stones to be that color, then he back-tracked and said actually that's just the way natural stones are. Obviously there is slight variation in the color of natural stone, but this is something different. We paid a lot of money for a faulty product, and were even more disheartened by the downright rude way we were treated and terrible customer service. read more

I had been searching other stone supply businesses for a flat stone to use for a step, and when I stopped by Round Rock Landscape and Supply, the sales manager helped me pick the right stone. He says he supplies a lot of builders, but his friendly helpful attitude towards one lady (me) who wanted one rock on a rainy day was impressive. I will definitely do business there again.
