However, the quality in the last six (6) months to a year has fallen to such an unacceptable level for the price, that I am never going back. Everything is terrible. I like the experience i had today with this location. I placed a phone order and the person i spoke with was one of the sweetest i have interacted with over the phone. She was courteous, professional and patient with my questions. The phone ordering was easy and straight forward. The store however is still close for dine in and what i did was a pick up order. They gave a reasonable wait time and handed my order no later than what they told me. Everyone was seen working and helping each other. And my presence was acknowledged twice. Recieved a flyer for 1/2 off beer and wine 4pm -9pm Monday - Thursday and they never honored the deal. Argued with the owner and they claimed that you needed to bring the flyer in. I've noticed a change in staff, most of the people are being brought in and out of this place it seems. Don't really like the new store manager, he came off as very arrogant in my opinion, same with the other people Oder man. We've been ordering here for a year. We get delivery from here twice a month. No issues with food quality or delivery. Until today.... 2 of the 3 pizza we ordered were incorrect. I called it in immediately and person who answered wasn't friendly nor apologetic but she transferred me to the main cook (?). Man I spoke with was courteous enough and even said "that's interesting..." after I told him about the 2 wrong orders, ingredients missing. He offered a solution, I did a carry out (no charge) and he even offered me a free soda. I checked that it was all good and went home and fed my family. He added Extra toppings and it tasted fresh. I get wings delivered every once in a while when I'm feeling kinda lazy and don't want to cook. They are just so-so and they forget the dipping sauce half of the time, but it wasn't enough for me to never come back until now. I had the order dropped off contactless. They left at the door my order with the sauce in a bag on top of the boxes. The bag had been dropped before being left at my door and one of the sauce broke open and got all over. Still not that bad I had one more. Then I open the boxes to see what feels like a joke. I received 12 bones... these are the most pathetic small meatless wings I've ever seen. Final straw was worker arguing with me over missing toppings on a specialty pizza. Had the menu in my hand showing ingredients and he still Claimed it was right. This place changed ownership, it also lost all sense of customer service. Last two orders, pizza was good but that's not the problem. The issue is with a very disorganized staff, I can't tell if there is actually a manager there. Complete chaos, people waiting for their food, I heard one of the guys call out a number in a low tone, by the time the customer got to the counter his order was already in the warmer oven. This used to be our go to pizza place on Friday night. The owner, Todd, sold it and the food has been horrible. Just horrible. We've asked for our pizza to be well done (crispy) for more than 20-years and remind them with ever order. Obviously it's too hard. They also get the ingredients wrong ALL THE TIME. The Benicia location is my favorite Round Table restaurant. One of the management members, Kimmy, has a lot to do with it. She is always cheerful and helpful. Great service, the quality of the food and restaurant cleanliness is top notch. I actually live in the next town over but this is the place that keeps me satisfied. I'm shocked and disgusted by the negative comments I'm seeing. I got a to-go order last weekend and apparently lots of people were up in arms that there was no restaurant dining option. Yes, we're all way beyond tired of COVID, but don't take it out on hard-working employees who are doing their best. I grew up in Benicia and still visit family there frequently. Round Table is a favorite go-to for lunch, as it used to be for delivery for us. I never cease to be blown away by how gracious, efficient and just generally pleasant every single staff person I've ever encountered there has been. The pizza quality is consistent and great (I've always loved how toppings go all the way to the edge here!) I frequented Round Table throughout 2021 and once so far in 2022 for both pick-up and eat-in dining, and they've been a delight. They're working with constantly-changing COVID rules and the high demand for takeout that comes as a result. I'd recommend this place to anyone, any time. read more

Been ordering pizza here for the last 6 years. Birthday parties, playdates, home movie nights, end of season team meet, family in town, friends visiting--all good all the time. Round table in restaurant service is good. Round table phone etiquette is also good to go. The restaurant smells like.. a PIZZA Parlor! Shocking, I know. Doesn't have any weird or unseemly smells or odors throughout the restaurant (in the main entrance, by the arcade, either side rooms). (Some ridiculous stuff in these reviews... I mean, sure, a place could stink, but it has not for us, ever, and we go maybe 1x a month...) Never once have we been disappointed: pizza has been crispy, perfectly tasty, wings and cheese bread have been delicious. One time I ordered mild buffalo wings, and they came out spicy--told the guy at the counter, and he apologized, went ahead and prepped me 6 more wings. Polite, customer oriented, and responsive. Awesome, thank you! Also want to add, RT pizza is delicious at the time its served hot, and its delicious as a leftover. When we have put leftover pizza in the fridge or freeze and thaw it later, pizza is tasty and good to go after reheating in the oven. Did you know there is a local pizza place, where each time we order Hawaiian pizza, the leftover ham turns brown? I mean, maybe its organic? But it is unappetizing for sure. Hawaiian pizza from this RoundTable? Delicious and the ham doesn't change colors overnight . We love this place and will continue to patronize them! Pizza was delivered timely and hot. I did notice the sauce is different which makes me sad. The sauce was one of my favorites there and now round table tastes like a completely different pizza. No flavor in the sauce what so ever hope they decide to go back to original sauce as I felt like that's what made this place unique. Two friends who were over for pizza noticed the same thing. I don't understand why a recipe would be changed that has worked for years. Why would we change to a sauce that has no flavor? Because of this they may lose a lot of customers because of this. I've never heard of once complaint about original sauce so this is super weird. read more

Round table never fails! The one thing I love about Round Table is in all the years I have gone, I have never had an issue with their service or pizza. Consistency. Makes a huge difference sometimes when you are craving something.(Especially after the fiasco in Carmel with Mountain Mikes...) On Sunday I ordered delivery. They said it would take 45 minutes. Honestly, I feel like they came like 5 minutes early or so. We ordered half Smokehouse Chicken and half Chicken and Garlic Gourmet. Oh my days... The pizza was sooooo good. Benicia is making it really hard to decide who has the best takeout pizza. Amazing crust. Amazing sauce on both pizzas. With the Smokehouse, you even get red sauce with BBQ sauce drizzle on the top. Who doesn't love BBQ sauce? I loved the Chicken and Garlic with their ranch. It gave even more depth with the flavor. Not much else to say. Round table never fails. However they are a little pricier than our other pizza joints in town. Then again, they are like the Nike of pizza take out so it's a given. But very happy to see their pizza is still glorious!! Wow, I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for my pizza last night and pretty recently I waited 1 hour and 20 minutes. That's crazy. I know they had a driver problem but it's not the first time. Generally it takes no more than an hour. Customer service here is usually very good and the pizza is usually good. But waiting that long? I would have NEVER ordered if I'd had any idea. I had dinner at 9:45 p.m. The pizza was not up to their usual standards either - though not bad. I suggest they call folks who order when they have these BIG delays. I am leaving this review because I just left this round table buying a $14 personal salad for dinner. Now I finished making my salad & asked for containers to place dressing into them. I am not sure if this guy was the manager or what but when I asked for the cups he gives me one premade dressing container, so I politely asked if I can have some more because the salad is too big for just one dressing, he gives me another premade cup. So again I politely asked him just for my own container, he asks me "what do you need it for" and I calmly tell him I would like more dressing and to also put my croutons on the side so they won't be soggy. He hands me one more premade dressing cup and says, "I am only supposed to give you one" and instead of arguing with this man because I felt that he was very rude about the situation I said to him that I still needed a cup for croutons. He went to the back and handed me one thing of prepackaged croutons. So I left. I then continued to come home & had to stop at another round table near my home to get more ranch and croutons, who was way nicer about the situation.
