I ordered a pizza from here delivered tonight. I was a bit hesitant because about 5 months ago, I ordered a pizza for the first time and it was very dry and hard to eat. I was a long term fan of Round Table in CA, but moved to Olympia and there was no Round table nearby. When I moved to Tacoma almost right away I ordered one because I missed it, but the experience was bad. The pizza was barely edible the first night when it arrived, and being just me now, I only ate like 3 pieces, and put the rest in the fridge. The next day the pizza was rock hard, and had no sauce, so even heating it up, it was still not edible. Therefore, I just didn't order again, I figured the pizza was different here, and there are a ton of options in the area. Well, tonight I saw a coupon for $5 off a large pizza and since it's cold and dark, I didn't want to go out. I'm a pizza snob, so generally I don't order from most chains (pizza hut/dominoes etc), Round table being the only exception to that rule in the past. I decided to give them another shot, and ordered extra sauce this time, along with extra cheese (believe that was a problem last time as well) and pepporoni (classic). The food got here promptly and I was very pleasantly surprised, it was very similar to the yummy pizza I had always gotten in CA. We would often have magic the gathering tournaments at Round Table Pizzas there, and so I had their pizza at least once a week, for many years. This pizza was night and day better than last time. Plenty of cheese and sauce, and the over all flavor was delicious. I would highly recommend it. I have seen alot of negative reviews on here, but I would give them another shot, it looks like there may have been a problem in the past (just based on reviews and my experience) but they have fixed it at this point. Best pizza I've had in years! ...was craving pizza while on a road trip with my mom, so as she was driving, I was looking for pizza places on the way and about 20 minutes out from whatever our current location was so we could pick it up without having to wait. It was hot, fresh, and ready as soon as we arrived. We got the King Arthur's Supreme with no onions and the garlic Parmesan twists. The pizza is good. The menu gives some variety and their specialty pizzas give a slight twist on the usual specials. I had the Maui Zaui, which was a little different than your usual Hawaiian. They offered a Polynesian style sauce, which is sweet. The pizza was ok, tasty, nothing special. The crust was pretty good though. Thin and doughy, with the Polynesian sauce brushed on it. We recently had my son's birthday party at the Hosmer" location. I called the store to reserve the "party room" and the young kid told me I had to book online, but in the meantime, he took down my information and I informed him what I wanted and he quoted me $100 which included four large pizzas and twenty drinks and party room. I get there early (330) to watch the Seahawks play and the tv was not working, which they had assured me ALL tv's would be on for the game. It was very busy and I noticed aa lot of customers were very annoyed with the service. I asked the kid that was taking my order when should I order the pizzas for my party and he said it takes about 30 minutes. I said I'll come up at 430 to order the pizzas for our 5pm party, he said u can order now and we'll have them out for your party at 5! I said ok. I was under the impression that we would be in the enclosed party room and NOT just a chained off section. I asked if the volume could be turned up in the party room and he Said yes. As our guests slowly started to arrive, they brought out two pizzas at 430! I said its too early and take them back! I said the party is not starting until 5! The shift manager came out to say I wanted to talk to her and I said I did not request to speak to her! Clearly, no one knew what they were doing! She said the note didn't make it back there to the kitchen staff to have pizzas out at 5! Needless to say, it was way over priced for what we got, dry over cooked pizzas rude a un knowledgeable employees. By the end of our party there was another shift manager on duty who didn't know what transpired, asking how I was going to pay and didn't know where my card was! She said she's only 19! I said it's a huge responsibility to be a manager so manage! I spoke to the general manager and he was just offering a $25 credit for a pizza! I said I DO NOT LIKE THEIR PIZZAS! I had to Call corporate and unfortunately all they are willing to do is credit my credit card $25! So! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this location because I felt deceived ! I booked the party one week into the New year and I was told I was quoted last years pricing! I thought I was getting an actual room! Think twice about this location or any Round Table Location! It's really hard to beat AYCE buffet-style pizza with Joe-Joes & a drink, and Round Table has it in spades. The price is very affordable - just a bit more to add on the salad bar. As far as the pizza goes, it's very good - crispy crust, cheesy topping, and tasty sauce. The variety is very extensive as well. I always get the bbq chicken pizza & the dessert pizza, but there are plenty of other options to try. For lunch, you can be in and out in no time, and with the RT Rewards program, you get a free buffet lunch after 9 check-ins. I always eat way too much, but it is so good! I have tried this round table on multiple occasions at multiple times. I will say that the workers are usually respectful and treat my family with respect. From that standpoint they are okay. I do feel the prices are a bit high though for pizza. Regarding the pizza, its usually okay but my primary issue is with their dessert pizza. They are normally too hard and over cooked. Even when I ask them make sure it has extra icing, it's still SUPER hard. Recently, my family ordered two dessert pizzas and they didn't tell me about running out of the normal icing. I didnt discover this until I returned home and my wife opened the box. We called them and they told us that they will provide us with two new ones, only to call them later and find out they didnt have any recollection of the situation. This is not cool, especially for the prices. If I spend $50 dollars on a pizza order and inform you its unacceptable, you should be a business that keeps your word. You promised me two pizzas only to now say you have no recollection on the order, that says a ton about how you will treat customers. Let's start with Round Table. They're known for pizza, right? Pizza is their specialty, right? No one is going to argue with that. We ordered a small pizza and two salad bars to split and eagerly awaited our pizza, which arrived within 10 minutes. It looked ok, not as average as I've seen from various Round Table locations across the country in the last 30 years, but more than edible. Unfortunately, after taking the first bite we knew something was wrong. It just didn't taste right. It tasted like there was no sauce. That couldn't be the case, we thought. So we peeled back the cheese and inspected it. Yep. No sauce. I went to the counter and asked if we could have some sauce since our pizza didn't have any. The girl went to the back, opened the fridge and filled a tiny plastic canister (like one you'd put salad dressing in) and handed it to me, ice cold. Common sense says to at least heat it, right? She didn't ask if they could remake the pizza. Didn't care, period. How this happens at a pizza place I have no idea. Meanwhile, if they simply added sauce you'd have an average pizza joint, with a fair salad bar, feet from Bass Pro. I guess that owner doesn't realize (he/she) is sitting on the gold mine - or doesn't care, or they'd teach employees sauce goes on the pizza. read more

I've been here for normal take-out or dine-in. It's okay, if you don't get stuck there during a school takeover night. The lunch buffet though is another matter. In and of itself, it's a decent deal. But the clientele at this RT location is the type that hovers over the serving area, and as soon as a fresh pizza is brought out, they devour it like a cow falling into a piranha-infested river. If you enjoy eating with gluttons who have distended guts and put half a pizza on their plates each time they go to the pizza bar, then this is your place. On a whim, I decided I wanted a pizza buffet. Hadn't had one since coming to the Pacific northwest from the southwest. This was the closest option. It was good, not particularly great. The pizza quality itself was the best part, best tasting buffet pizza I'd yet had, but the variety of the buffet was sorely lacking. At any one time there were not more than 3 pizzas out, at one point there were none. We arrived somewhat late to lunch, so I take some responsibility for that. I may try again in the future at a more earlier part of the lunch buffet period. The restaurant's cleanliness was lacking when we first arrived, every booth either had someone sitting in it, or a pile of used plates yet to be addressed by the staff; The problem was about half of each. Round Table is by far the best chain pizza parlor. It can be pricey but coupons are easy to find. I've never gone there without one. I love their lunch buffet. It's a great value and you can request a pizza of your choice and they'll put it out on the buffet. Their pizza is fresh and it oozes with flavor. This is the best pizza EVER! Every single time I go into this place, I see the most beautifully crafted pizzas and the most luscious salad bar I've ever laid eyes on... and they EVEN make their OWN RANCH in the STORE!! Sitting around tonight thinking about where we should get pizza and Round Table pops into our heads. Neither of us had eaten Round Table in years, so we put in our online order of a half and half pizza. We get to the store and are abruptly told we would be helped in a minute. I've worked in food service, I can understand being busy and stressed and missing a polite hello or smile from time to time. So, despite the fact that it wasn't busy, I let it go. We pay and I tip with a feeling of trepidation, but it is ingrained in me to tip. And then we wait. And wait. And wait. And talk about how the pizza that was put in the window almost immediately after we paid was probably ours, but it couldn't possibly be because the cashier had checked it...twice. And we wait. And finally, one of our comments about how the pizza in the window was in a box that wasn't closed, had been sitting there for ten minutes, and was probably ours, must have been overheard because the worker checked it for a third time, nodded to himself as if something had changed, and then handed us our now luke-warm, $30 pizza. We leave without checking it because at this point I'm just annoyed and want to leave...I've never yelled at a server, I usually don't point it out when something is wrong, but getting home, opening the box and finding out that the pizza was not only cold, but had the wrong meat was just the kicker. I know the prices are set by corporate, but if you are going to give me meh pizza and really meh customer service, please charge me less. We went to Round Table after hiking today. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted my a friendly employee. She quickly took our order, helping us decide which toppings. We went, with beers, to a table and relaxed while the pizza cooked. It didn't long before a nice young man brought our pizza. Then he went a got plates and silverware for us. The pizza was great! The lady that took our order came to our table and made sure we had everything we wanted and then a few minutes later brought us a box for the rest of our pizza before we could even ask for it. I placed an order online I received a receipt stating the time it would be completed. My husband left went to pick it up he waited outside about five minutes past the time It was supposed to be ready because It was supposed to be curbside. He went inside they told him it wasn't ready yet he asked how long is going to be set an additional 15 minutes. I then called to speak with a manager the manager was not even available!? the person who took my phone call said that everyone who was supposed to be working in the kitchen was out on deliveries they only had one person cooking pizza and the best they could do was offer me free soda. It was a Friday night and we had just left Spuds after a bad experience with them not taking a coupon that they put out into the community... simply buy a large pizza and get a medium one topping pizza free. Anyway we decided to leave Spuds and go to Round Table and we were just so happy we did. The restaurant was much cleaner and brighter, the service staff was more attentive and they even honored the coupon that Spuds would not.
