The rudest waitress I've ever encountered was here and her name is SHAWNA! She wears a smug smile towards customers. Has no concept of customer service as if we should be thankful to be served by her. She quickly sprinted away from our table every time we had a question or were in the middle of requesting something. When we asked her if she thought it was rude her response was "no it's not rude, you people". We replied "excuse me" and she stood there with that smug smile clenching her teeth clearly irritated. We come here often for the great food but when your appetite is spoiled by bad customer service we could've stayed home and ate cereal. read more

I have dined in a couple of times for just soup. Every time I've noticed that the soup is tasteless and over cooked. I send it back n end up getting something different than soup. Something so simple to cook like soup, shouldn't be so bland n over cooked. read more

Service was good, the food was not. Both my father and I had to send our eggs back. Mine was sent back 3 times for being burnt on the outside and too runny on the inside. My dads omelette was sent back for being too runny AND it was supposed to be American cheese but the cook used cheddar. On top of that, my bacon looked like it was cooked the day before. Usually this is a good place to eat. This morning my mother and I went in for breakfast. After being seated we were brought a cup of coffee and our order was taken. My mother noticed that quite a few people that came in after us were being served more coffee and their food, by the same waitress that we had. We ate here Wednesday last, there were 6 of us and we were seated at a table for no more than 4 which was in a corner because there was a wall behind the chairs on one side of the table making it very difficult for the ones on that side to get in and out to use the rest room. The table was also on an aisle that everyone in the restaurant had to use if they needed to use the restroom. Since our seating arrangement was inadequate 2 of us had our chairs partly in that aisle and had to move every time someone went to the rest room, one of those was myself, I even had to move for a gentlemen with a walker, if you can call someone a gentleman that bangs his walker into the back of your chair, however he did say excuse me! Now the food, I had the Greek pork chops as did 2 others in our party, they were tough and not very tasty, the vegetables were so tough they couldn't be cut with a steak knife! Our waitress was friendly and did a fairly good job considering the working conditions! You were lucky to get 1 star I would have given you minus 1 or more if I could have! read more

Yes, I've lived in the Region my whole life. So yes, I've been to Round the Clock more times than I can count. However, based on my bad experience, I will never go back again. On Saturday night, my boyfriend placed a to go order. I really wanted the cream of broccoli soup so that's what I got. When it got home, I discovered it was cream of WATER soup. Totally gross and completely inedible. So I call to complain, which is something I rarely do. The first person who answers the phone says that they don't add water to the soup as the day progresses but that it separates and that the soup gets this way sometimes. Then why would you even serve it to a customer? I then get put on hold for the manager, Andrew. He clearly does not belong in any type of customer service position. He offers no apology, no explanation but simply says a store credit is the best he can do. At this point, I'm not really caring about the money. It's the total lack of concern about the customer that's the most upsetting. So I ask for the name of the store manager. I'm told there isn't one! Like how can that be true? He doesn't have a boss? He's the boss? Fat chance! I'm not stupid; he just wanted me to go away. You suck Round the Clock! If you keep this up, you won't have any customers. And I will be happy. read more

My family LOVES coming to this place. It's the only place near our house that you can go to and feed 5 people without going completely broke. Everyone's always really nice and friendly. The food is good and you get a lot of it. I usually order the garden mix skillet for breakfast or the orange chicken for dinner. The rolls are really good here, and if you order lunch or dinner make sure you get the lemon rice soup! I get it every time and it's so good. Overall it's a good family place. read more

Round the Clock doesn't quite live up to the name. This location is really only good for lunch and dinner, and it all has to do with price. If you get a meal/meals for lunch or dinner, you get a good value. Breakfast, on the other hand, is a joke. There aren't any worthwhile specials to order, unlike other locations. This is also the only Round the Clock location that I know of that doesn't give free rolls all the time. The food tastes great, but the service is meh. 3 stars out of 5 is generous... read more

Absolutely terrible experience! The waitress took about 15 minutes to even come over to the table. She took our drink orders and we went ahead and ordered our food at the same time because it took so long. After about 15 more minutes, she brought my soup. Still no drinks. We asked for our drinks at that point and she brought those shortly after. The lemon rice soup and rolls were good. It took about another 20 minutes for our food to come. I cut into my country "steak" and it was chicken. I still didn't get the Cole slaw that I ordered. I was sitting there not eating for another 10 minutes and my husband had to call to her to get her attention. She was too busy checking on the table of young boys that were flirting with her to pay attention to us. (Oh they left her a whopping $2 tip too! We know this because we sat there FOREVER!) she asked me if I wanted her to take the meal back, I said no because at this point, I'm in a hurry. I asked if she could just put my Cole slaw in a to go box. She said she would talk to the manager about getting my meal taken off the bill. I had about one bite of it. She brought my Cole slaw back - in a bowl - and I had to ask for a to go container again. At this point, it's a joke. We were waiting for the check for about 25 more minutes and when it comes, I was charged full price. My husband asked about it and she said he needed to take care of it up front. He told her that I would like the pie that went with my meal to go. She never brought it. My husband went up front and they took $2 off the check. Lol he questioned the manager about this and he said since we were taking the leftovers home, we had to be charged. He let him know that the entire meal was still sitting on the table!! He finally removed that from the check, my husband paid for everything else and then asked the manager if he could PAY for a piece of pie since I didn't eat except for the soup. Came on a busy Friday night with my husband and two daughters. We were seated right away and greeted by the server soon after. She got a drinks quickly and took our order. I visited on Monday night around 730. There weren't many customers in place. I ordered the fried chicken dinner with house salad, fries and cole slaw. The server placed a warm large roll on the table as soon as he approached. The roll was good. Similar to what grandma would make. He said it would be about 25 minutes on the chicken. That was fine. He brought out the salad that looked and tasted like it came from the bottom of the bag. He dropped the dressing somewhere and had to go back to the kitchen for another. It was in a plastic container, so I hoped he returned to the kitchen for it. I ate less than half of it. The main course, fried chicken and the sides, fries and coleslaw came out quicker than I thought it would. I asked the server for honey and he looked at me like I was insane. The food was hot so I ate the coleslaw first. That was good. I then ate the fries while waiting for the honey for my chicken. Fries were average, nothing special. I decided to not wait for the honey that never came and ate one price of the 4 that were served. It was the chicken breast. It was good. The server came to the table still without the honey and I asked for a box for the remaining 3 pieces of chicken and the check. He said that my meal includes dessert. I asked what they had and he said pies, rice pudding and jello. I asked what kind of pies and he started rattling them off with a look of annoyance. I chose peanut butter/chocolate. I asked to have that to go. He brought back the pie and a box. Put the check on the table and left. I had to ask the cashier for a bag for the boxes not a big deal but the server should have offered. I assumed he was having an off day and didn't say anything to the cashier. After returning to my hotel that I was staying at, I bit into the chicken leg and tested blood. I checked the wing and the thigh and both of those were not cooked through as well. How is it possible to get the breast, the largest piece cooked through but not the smaller pieces? Went there for breakfast with family today, worst ever. There's a reason no one was in the place it was that bad. All three breakfast's were cold. My bacon was raw and cold and the toast looked like they dunked it in the butter vat. The endless cups of coffee were not. There were 5 waitresses standing around in back of counter not doing anything because there was no business. Trying to get are waitress attention was impossible to let her know bacon and toast and cold food were some problems we were having. She finally came around and then went to table in back of us, were she started to talk about us a a rude way really? I had the farmers club, my son had chicken tenders and wife hadeggs n french toast. Well the turkey in my club was rancid, the cheese was the most prossed cheese you could get. My sons chicken tenders were hard as rocks, and my wifes eggs were over cooked. Took the 30 minutes to get our food, forget about refills. My wife and I have been regulars for several years. Over the past two years or so, we've watched the service decline. This evening, we were barely acknowledged by the hostess and ignored entirely for 15 minutes after being seated. We decided to leave for another restaurant. On the way out, we encountered the lone, remaining conscientious employee, and let her know we were dissatisfied. I can tell you, if you are unlucky enough to be served at all here (I wasn't served at all & after 10 minutes I walked out without even bread on the table), this was in 2006! Hosts/Waitresses were BS'ing at the host stand, I got nothing to munch on (Bread) or Pop or coffee to drink. Nothing. I along with my family was one of few on a slow night. I decided to give it a shot again & I'm sad I did. Service was okay at best. Awesome host, much different than last time, however I had poor wait staff. Compared to the other Round The Clocks which have given me much better experiences I will NEVER return here. Not much has changed here since 2006. I had the worst cooked Chicken ever (Who hired that cook? Was the chicken even dead?) After this last time, never again. Go to the Highland one or Hammond location formerly known as Loubie's. HORRIBLE experience, i tried to give them a chance to help fix it but since they have not I am sharing my negative review. Went there on a Saturday afternoon, ordered a steak, now I realize this is not a steak house and the steak might not be as good as from a steak house but it should at least be edible right?? It was like chewing rubber, I cut the pieces sooooo tiny and yet still had to keep chewing and chewing, no taste or flavor and rubbery, the baked potato which I would prefer "hot", wasnt even "warm".......the butter literally would not melt! Had a dinner salad....whats right smack in the middle of the plate but the big core from the lettuce, not to mention wilty brown salad as well, they should have been embarrased to serve that! I asked for garlic dressing and was given a cup of sour cream!!!!! Corn came with it, again cold and tasteless like right out of a can. The waitress comes back and sees all my food still there and says "not hungry"?? I replied yes, very hungry but I cant eat any of this.........I am telling her all the things wrong and she mumbled an I'm sorry , I said luckily the soup and roll were good or I'd be starving..........again nothing, then she says well dessert comes with it, I said bring me chocolate pie.........she comes back with I dont know what, I see this big blob of mushed chocolate, like a choc mousse, I put a spoon under it and the whole thing came up on one blob and there wasnt a spec of crust.........so I called her back and said shouldnt a PIE HAVE CRUST?? Her response was "I scooped it out the best I could".........well you dont "scoop out" a pie, if its made right....WITH CRUST.....you SLICE it. God I was so angry now, and she tells me she talked to the manager and he'd take care of it when I checked out........so I thought okay, at least they realize I am not paying for it............my sister was with me and HER food was okay, nothing special but no real complaints but she witnessed all of my disasters and couldnt believe it either. So we go to the register and the gentleman there, and from what she had said I assumed he was the manager, asked how everything was, so I proceeded to tell him everything and he just kept apologizing and saying I'm sorry to hear that, but meanwhile rang up the whole order, i said "wait, am I not being compensated for this, theres no way I should be paying $16.99 for a meal that I could not eat"...........again he apologized and like stood there waiting for me to pay...........now people are forming a line behind us and I really wanted to go off but when I get upset I cry and I didnt want to start crying there so I just threw my debit card at him and voiced my opinoin of their place and people and that I would never come back there...........not a word from him..........so the next morning as I thought about it I got angry all over again.........so I called back and asked to talk to a Manager.........I talked to a man named "Nick".........went over it all with him, turns out that guy was NOT a manager, just a cashier.........Nick said he was glad that I called, agreed it was a bad experience that should have been corrected, said the waitress should have sent the manager on duty to my table, or the cashier should have called the manager..............I said well neither one did.........so he apologized and said they would be spoken to and said he'd like me to give them another chance and he'd send me a $10 gift card? I said but I paid $16.99 for a meal that I DID NOT EAT............so he said okay he'd send one for $20..........I said fine, gave him all my information..........one week later I still had not received the card..........so I called him and he mumbled something about something must have gotten messed up with the corporate office, said let me look thru my desk here.........then says oh I must have gave it to them (which tells me he did NOTHING with it and the paper he wrote my info on (if he even did write it) got tossed away??? So he tells me to give it all to him again and that he PERSONALLY would put it in the mail............that was a week today...........so two weeks since this whole thing happened.........and still no gift card!!!! So obviously he is as irresponsible as his staff. So I will be calling again in the morning, its the principle of it all now and I am not letting it go..........and WHEN I get the card (and I WILL) I will give them another try but definitely not at THAT location (Schereville) again and I will probably stick with breakfast. :-( read more

My last visit was my last visit. A couple of days after Christmas I went to Round the clock because it is open 24 hours. The food here is good but not special enough to overlook poor front of the house service. It was about 1 am and the restaurant was packed with 20 something's, naturally they had a list for seating that night. Two people were working the front and one took my name down. Ten minutes later we were asked if we had been helped by the other person up front. I told her yes as we had put our name in. Fifteen minutes later we noticed people that had come after us were being seated. I went to the register and mentioned this and was shown the list where our name was not it. She rudely said "I asked you if you had been helped!" The other front person had written our name down on another list that was no where to be found. Instead of an apology for their mistake we got an eye roll and a loud huff. read more

The food is far to expensive for the quality. The servers are rude and more attentive to each other than the customers. The atmosphere is nice when you can actually hear the music and not the partying and playing by other patrons. I expected to be attended to swift and adequately since the restraunt was pretty empty and slow, instead I seen numerous staff with phones in hand, or outside smoking. Ive been in during the day hours and see a few tattoos here and there, but the other night I seen tattoos and trashy nose and face piercings. I understand older crowds come out during the day but come on your in the puplic eye remove the attitude, the stink of cigerettes, and trashy inside the nose piercings hanging out of the nose . On a side note I have never been treated with such disregard as I have here, I had Racheal as my server and another server I think her name was Bree made sure our drinks were filled ever time she passed our table to her customers. I will continue to come in during the day as it is close to my job, but the chances of a revisit at night is neel. I would love for a new place to open locally or a more friendly, attentive,and professional looking staff. read more
