TLDR: predatory sales practices and power tripping managers with means to rectify the problem but no regard for customer service. General manager had the capacity to credit account/card that was already paid for a month ago, EVEN WITH our proof of purchase. THEIR system wiped all transactions the day and time we originally visited, but they chose not to give us a refund or provide credits. GM even said he has the authority to give us credits, but he didnt want to. Made us wait for 30 min just to tell us to go through our bank. Visited about a month ago when the system was running into issues. They recommended we try reloading credits into the card to see if it worked, which we did: $110. It didn't work. We came back today (1 month later) to see if the system loaded our card and it never did, but our payment was posted. Looks like the day we originally visited (10/18), the system recorded NO transactions from 12PM-3PM. We provided proof of payment via credit card transaction, but due to them not being able to "verify the transaction" on their end (because their own system was down???) they could not credit our card/account. The GM was absolutely useless and noncooperative even with physical evidence of our payment. He literally told us he has the authority to credit our account, but was choosing not to. Wasted 30 min of our time with no rectification under the guise of "finding proof of transaction" with a system that malfunctioned and couldn't work bc IT team was not even working (on a Saturday). This place is very dangerous for my wallet! I recently became obsessed with crane games, and this location has so many cute plushies and anime figures for their machine! I've been here twice, and both times I think the machines are more rigged compared to the Grapevine location. Typically, you win something after 6-8 tries, but here, I spent over $50 (400 credits) and did not win anything. The crane "shakes" as it picks up the plushie, or they intentionally make it hard for the ping pong balls to fall in the right spot. The service is also terrible. It takes FOREVER to find a worker if you do win. I walked around the entire place twice and still managed to NOT find anyone. I really hope that they'll improve because I like their prizes more compared to the Grapevine location. read more

I came into town with friends and went to this specific Round 1 for the crane machines. Their prizes are much better at this location than Grapevine. The employees are very helpful and show me how to win certain prizes or reset the prizes for me when needed. My favorite game to play here is Angry Birds slot machine since it's easy to win tickets from there. The prices of the machines are decently priced. I came out winning so many plushies between my friends and I. I will say some crane machines are hard and definitely required watching how to win before trying. This place has gone down hill, their three prong claw machines have been impossible to win ever since getting their new machines and replacing the grab plushes with the round 1 coin. The claw slips through every time and gives the player no motivation to play another round till payout. It's evident with the rotation of plushes have not changed in months. Compare it to its sister store in grapevine which has continuous rotations and doesn't use the stock coin plush for claw machines. The grapevine location is also way more popular on the weekend as we came to the Arlington location on a Friday and it's dead. Which makes sense why they have barely any workers, so it's impossible to even get an attendant to retrieve a prize. We won't be coming to this location anymore until changes are made. read more

I used to come here almost every weekend pre-pandemic. I have spent countless hours here in the arcade, with groups of friends, doing karaoke, bowling, etc. , enough to have a Platinum membership card. I came on a Saturday night a few weeks ago for the first time in over a year. I was so disappointed to see over half the crane games were either empty or not set up. I figured I'd wait to see if anyone would reset the prizes and no one ever did the entire hour I was there. The worst part is that I went to check my ticket balance on my card in the prize room and they said I had 0. I thought they were joking. I had amassed around 10k tickets on my card and now it's magically gone? I asked if there was any mistake, but they were firm that I had zero tickets on my account. I can't help but feel lied to and scammed from my loyalty to this place. Not sure why my card got liquidated when it hadn't been touched since early 2020. Not sure what I'd even be able to do about this, but I'll definitely be thinking twice about spending money here if it's just going to disappear without notice. read more

The man before me ordered multiple drinks with only one ID with no problem yet when it was my groups turn the "bartender" said one ID wasn't valid due to it being from another country. He had the audacity to say "we have security watching" when we said we would grab another "valid" ID. The arcade itself seems fun but my friends and I went for karaoke. The manager came in and told us to be quieter or we'd be kicked out. However I don't think we were being loud, the room next to us could be heard over us. Even if we were it's not about the warning, it was her tone, she sounded rude and annoyed, like if we were fooling around and just being obnoxious on the mic. The next time we went, our mics were very quiet. I knelt down to check the stereo to see if I could find anything that said "mic volume" or the sort. I then hear the manager open the door and say "If you touch that we're gonna have to kick you out.". I understand if we're not allowed to touch the second stereo, so I tried to explain to her our mic issue but instead she cut me off and said "Okay, but if you touch that again, we're gonna have to kick you" in a condescending tone. After she left, My friends and I just agreed to leave even though we had 20 minutes left, it was clear we were NOT wanted. Never went there for karaoke since. Not sure if she just didn't like us or if we offended her in some way, but I wouldn't recommend going here for karaoke. read more

Round1 is a great place for kids and adults alike to have fun; however, the only issue I have is that it's expensive. It's cool that you have a certain number of credits on your card and that you can swipe it to see how much you have left. It also keeps track of your tickets. The thing is you don't realize how much your spending with a credit based system. So $1 = 4 credits. On the crane machines, it'll cost 13 credits which amounts to $3.25 a game. That's a lot and other games where you have a short amount of playing time take the same amount of money. The service is good overall in that staff is attentive when you need them and the ambience is always hopping inside. I haven't tried their food but their bar prices are decent for sure. It's a fun place but expect to dish out a lot for that fun. read more

Great establishment but definitely overpriced. Went there for some family fun and the cards only lasted 20-30 minutes. The machines charged quite a few credits in comparison to how much was paid. I understand that because it is located in a mall generally items are overpriced, but this was a different level. Bowling was super expensive, I would recommend a larger group for bowling rather than a small one. Food was subpar and definitely from an amusement park. We didn't get to try out any of the food because it was closed the entire time we were here so we had to go grab food from the food court in the mall. I can't rate any of the arcade games because I didn't play any but we did try Karaoke and that was pretty fun I would recommend. They have 2 books to choose a song either by artist or by song. The list of stuff you can't do makes absolutely no sense. We were waiting for our lanes (there was only 12 of us but we had to split into 3 lanes all separated by another lane). We went into the dining area and did not see any signs about not being able to stand around but apparently you must be seated in groups of 4 and if you step off the wood floors onto the carpet you're in violation of some made up rule. You're also not allowed to drink anything while bowing. You have to walk all the way back to the dining area so you can lower your mask there. I understand the regulations we have to abide by and what they have to enforce but there's a way to do it that's customer friendly. Felt like we were being watched the entire time waiting for us to make a mistake. Would I return? Absolutely not. read more

Do NOT come here during COVID, there are next to no sanitizing stations. The games are not sanitized either . Bought a drink and was told that I could not drink at the games, but at " designated drinking areas" which there was none. This location made me sad. Let me preface this by saying that I am a huge Round1 fan. I spend a decent amount on the crane machines - they're my guilty pleasure. I have been to Round1 locations in Louisville, Chicago, and Grapevine, and Arlington. In the Dallas area, I consider the Grapevine location a great experience. My coworkers and I go on a regular basis. We decided to switch it up and go to the Arlington location, and I was not impressed. First, the place is understaffed. I am by no means complaining about the employees that were there, because they were trying their best, but there simply aren't enough people. Many machines had zero prizes in them, waiting to be reset. Others were frozen or stuck. At the Grapevine location, there are always employees roaming fixing the machines. Here, no such luck. Second, many of the prizes are unwinnable. As in, they get in a position where the crane simply cannot reach the prize to knock it down. One of the figures I was trying to win, in particular, reached the end of the machine and was simply too large to fit in the opening to win. I asked an employee to reset the prize, and once again it was reset to a spot that you simply could not win it. I completely understand these machines needing to have a challenge, and not be set to a super easy position, but while machines at other locations can be difficult, I haven't experienced unwinnable machines like this before. The hook machines here are also set at an angle that make them virtually impossible. Third, it just seems to be more run down. The bathrooms weren't clean, the location seemed to just need some love. Overall, I am still a huge Round1 fan, but I will not be going back to this location anytime soon. read more

Brought my son and nephew in after watching a movie upstairs. It's my nephew 12th birthday came in and brought 2 cards for game spent 204.00. They played two games. My son tried to play the "Wheel of Fortune" Game swiped his card and the wheel never turned for him but the game gave him him 10 tickets. He moves on the the "Frogger" game he does the lever it lands on 150 tickets but the machine only gives him 4 tickets. He goes to get a worker who came over said he needed to talk to his manager about. I also informed him the other game he played that does not work. He talks to the manager over the walkie talkie she asked do we have video proof I told him no and asked do they have cameras. He told me yes but not all of the work so they only way my son can get his tickets is with video proof. We ask to speak to the manager because that doesn't seem fair to a child playing a game and being cheated out of his winnings. The employee told me he would get the manager asked us to wait by the machine. We waited close to 30 minutes no one showed so we walked up to the front desk. The young man is up there talking so I asked him for the manager again he said I told her you wanted to talk but she decided to sit in the office and not come out. When she does finally come out I once again explained the situation and she told me she could not give him his tickets he played for that is their policy. When I asked for a refund of my money I was told once I start using the card they can not refund the money back. The manager looks us in our face and said all the machines works fine and there has been no problem reported otherwise. Well here we are paying customer complaining about a broken machine. We told her we don't have to lie for 150 tickets when I paid 200 to load some cards. After going back and forth at the point given her a lesson about good customer Service since the whole the conversation she either rolled her eyes, looked down at her watch to read whatever that was more important than the customers. She called for maintenance to look at the machine we told her as a manage she should also come since she called my kid a liar to his face. We get to the machine and the maintenance guy scans his card pulls the lever and lands on 4 tickets but the machine starts reading out 500 tickets then 87 tickets. Once again spoke to the manager told her ma'am as you can see the machine does not work can you at least apologize to the kid for calling him a liar. The manager walks off from the machine and back to her office. The maintenance man told us to wait at the guest service for our refund. Here I am waiting allowing the other worker to help his guest. Once he guest leaves I stand at the register waiting to be acknowledged about my refund. 3 different employees sat there and ignored us to continue their conversation. When I started to say excuse sir am I waiting on you or someone the employee asks like he can not hear at this time the manager is still in her office never came back out. I get the attention of another employee but she looks me in the face and then turns her attention to the male employee that was ignoring me and started talking about their belt. A female employee comes around the corner and says can you move so I can help real customers. I made a face at her and said I am a real customer I was told to wait here for a refund she says the manager told them over the walkie talkie to no longer service us and ask us to leave. Of course I am not leaving after 200 was taking from me and we didn't get to us it so I refused to move. The manager calls mall Security on us to have us to removed fo asking for a refund after being called a liar for 150 tickets. I asked for corporate number she gives me her general manager number and asked us to leave. I also asked for a receipt showing me how much of the cards was used for my records when I talked to the general manager. The manager told me they do not give out the receipt that they print to show your points so when I asked to take a picture she told me not to touch her paper only take the receipt. The mall security pulled me aside I explained everything to him he said I would upset as well that is a lot of money to be out of. He also said he could not make us leave he was only there to make sure no one argues or start fighting. The manager then walks over to say her general manager told her to credit our game card back to for the turns he did not receive his tickets on and that was the best they would do for us. After she put 16 credits back on the card we was asked to leave the business. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE, DO NOT DROP YOUR KIDS OFF HERE. This company is stealing people money and making them leave for telling them the machines are broken. I will give the general manager the chance to make this right I need my money refunded for this poor service my nephew had to deal with on his birthday or I might have a take legal action against this establishment. read more

Such a fun amusement center!! On our family vacay this was the nearest mall so we ended up here 2-3 times actually cause my nephews couldn't get enough of the games!! We spent an evening bowling across two lanes in the alley -- literally the most revolutionary shoe dispensary I've ever seen! You just go to the corner lockers, push the button of your size (go for a 1 to 1.5 sizes smaller than what you usually wear) and out pops your bowling shoes!! Toddler shoes and exchanges can be grabbed from the counter. The lanes themselves were super clean and maintained, we had no problem with the computer and the couches were nice for our large group who were put side-by-side. Afterwards we rented a few paddles, ping pong balls, as well as equipment for pool and had a ton of fun doing some more family friendly activities :) the next time we came was on New Year's Day when there was an ice skating special but it was completely sold out so we found ourselves at the arcade again! In the beginning it was fun playing the claw machines. Then we played our favorite game monster drop. You know the tall one that drops bouncy balls. We played for some time and spent a lot of money on it. When we were done playing we headed to the prize area where they told us that none of our points from that machine were added to our card. First they denied any responsibility and pretty much accused us of lying. I told them to check their cameras. The manager left and when he came back he told us the machine was on test mode and could only give us 1000 tickets. Nowhere close to the amount we actually got playing. This is a really good arcade and bowling alley. And if you like those claw games where you win really cheap stuffed animals then this place has more of them than I have ever seen in my life! My son really likes those things so he got his fill. Really good selection of video games there as well. And although we didn't do any bowling ourselves, the bowling alley was very well setup and there were a lot of happy faces in there. It ain't cheap but these places aren't any more.
