Increased prices as of April 2025

Came here to redeem tickets before Round1 doubled the ticket prices in the victory zone. We drove hours to this location because it was the only one with this particular prize. Redeeming tickets for a prize at an arcade should be a fun experience, but this particular location makes you feel like a criminal for taking a prize. It's a usual process at Round1 to fill out a prize claim form and then they check your card to review the gameplay. However, on this early afternoon of Friday 4/19, it took multiple staff and a couple managers over 25 minutes to review the card and finally give us the prize. I guess they really couldn't believe that someone could earn 10K tickets? Which seems like a low value when it's not even an Xbox or something. Round1 is also quietly rolling out price increases and the Salinas location has increased card reloads and prices of claw machine and crane games. The crane games here are super weak and hard to win, evident by the prizes that have been around since last year Round1 used to be fun but it's just a ripoff now!

Games are utterly expensive, bowling is also expensive. Lanes tend to fail regularly from what I hear and experienced.

We had a good experience :) My kids had fun bowling The food was okay! To pricey! But overall we had fun

This place has karaoke, bowling, a billiards room, and a very expansive arcade area as well as a snack bar and a bar. Unfortunately, the food isn't very good at the snack bar, but definitely gave me the energy I needed to play games and try to win tickets/prizes. You have to pay $2 to get a player's card and then can purchase an arcade package to load onto the card to play the various arcade games and claw machines. Any tickets you earn go directly onto the card, so make sure you don't throw your card away! There's a store inside where you can redeem your tickets for a wide variety of stuffed animals, candy, and a variety of other prizes. The games were fun to play and there's a lot to do here. There are also various packages for kids birthday parties as well as for adult birthday parties/events. This place is open 10am-2am, so you'll have plenty of time to spend your money and try as many activities you want!

My first time at Round1 was a great experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you to April for making the visit plesant great smile and attitude. Thank you to Alfonso the manager for all his help especially personally walking me though the app. My daughter had a blast and won some cool prizes from the claw machines. We can't wait for Round2

My husband and I had a great time, but can be a little expensive. Definitely worth a try at least once. We didn't try the food.

If you don't have socks, they've got some available for purchase thankfully. They've got an amazing full bar in there for the adults--and an arcade for the kiddos + food and sodas. If you need a fun escape from all the touristy spots, highly recommend Monterey Lanes.

We went in on a rainy day at opening time, during a school break. We figured more people would come…read moresince it was bad weather outside so we planned to wait maybe 20 minutes or so since it was also a week night and not terribly busy. They were completely full with just 5 parties, but had less than half the lanes open. They insisted they were already full and the wait "might be at least 35 minutes or if the party decides to pay for another hour, it'll be way longer.." So I said can you ask them if they were planning on playing another round or leaving or can I ask them? (We wanted to plan for dinner, we don't live around the corner either, it was a drive for us to come out). The 2 employees said sure, they are on lane 2. Then this other employee comes walking up immediately after and stops me and says "I can't have you ask that"...?? Ok..what's the harm in simply asking what their plans are?? They had LESS than half the lanes open on a RAINY day. I asked is there a way to open any other lanes? There were 3 more parties that came in after us! They said with enthusiasm, "no, we can't do that!" You work here, what's the surprise, why not? They turned our water bottles away, you can't bring your refillable ones. And don't expect to get a water bottle or any soda from the vending machine to quench your thirst either, they were completely out, the whole machine even though it was lit up and working. There was a bar there I think? But no one was there... I turned to my family and we all just said forget it, this is nuts... Honestly, the whole place looks pretty terrible. Carpets are stained, walls are dingy, there's zero fun decor-wise, in fact nothing on the walls at all... It looks kinda creepy in an abandoned sort of way. This place was run down, out of stock, employees with irritable and bored attitudes. We won't be coming back and will gladly pay extra to drive farther. It's sad because they are in desperate need of money to help the place. We would have gladly supported had they been open to helping us play a game!

I walked into a space that gets loud and warm during busy periods, and cleanliness varied by section, but the overall setup gave my group plenty of options for a few hours of entertainment. The arcade is the strongest part of the offering. I found the selection of rhythm games solid and reasonably well maintained, and the claw and gacha style machines are what Round1 does better than most chain arcades. That said, individual claw machine plays run around four dollars, which adds up quickly if I am playing multiple rounds, and the tension on the machines is inconsistent enough that results feel more variable than skill based. The prize section near those machines tends to run warm compared to the rest of the floor. Racing games, fighting games, and photo booths fill out the rest of the arcade floor, and the overall variety was broad enough to keep my group occupied. Bowling is available but came with some caveats. The ball selection skewed toward smaller finger holes and very heavy options, with limited middle ground, so bringing my own ball would be worth considering if I bowled regularly. Party packages are available and include shoes and games, which streamlines the booking process for larger groups. For a casual group outing, birthday celebration, or evening with a mix of activities on offer, Round1 covers the bases adequately. Going in with realistic expectations about the cost per activity makes the experience more enjoyable. It is not a refined destination, but for what it is, it delivered a fun few hours.

It was extremely stuffy and warm in May, reminding me of a locker room. I definitely wouldn't want to come back during the summer. We won a decent amount of prizes (albeit we spent $240), but the prizes weren't as cute as the ones I've gone to in SoCal either. It was hard finding a machine where I actually wanted the plush or figurine. They also had 6 different machines just dedicated to kuromi, which is great and all but there just wasn't much variety. Hopefully they update their selection and add more skill based machines.
