Ehhh, the Rowdy Beaver is what it is. That is not a bad thing and it is not an exceptional thing either. Food is decent and service, although not the fastest on the planet, was reasonable. It is hard to judge a location when they have one cook and the bartender is the server because other staff didn't come to work. Again, to be absolutely fair to this restaurant and bar, I did not leave upset or disappointed, it just wasn't the most amazingly delicious food I've ever had!

I really enjoyed stopping here and having lunch. The restaurant is divided in half with a bar atmosphere on one side and restaurant on the other. I love sitting at the bar, so I opted for the non-restaurant side which serves the exact same menu. First order of business, order an Ole Chap which is a local amber beer then a Crispy Chicken Club with coleslaw. The barkeep was on it, she had my beer served up and my order placed within mere minutes of me hopping up to the bar. I really wanted to try the Beaver Balls but they had sold out the night before. Guess everyone wants Beaver Balls on a Saturday night. My food arrived in good time and was excellent. The chicken was crispy and crunchy with a great taste and not completely overpowered by bun. The coleslaw was thick chopped and not runny. Can't stand runny coleslaw. At first sight on the Crispy Chicken I thought I would for sure need a to go box but I woofed down every bit it.

Smiling with my food loaded chicken nuggets with house made smoked cheese sauce & street corn ribs with ranch! So good!!!

We love The Rowdy Beaver the food, location & staff are amazing! We had a meet & greet in the banquet room and it was great!! The location, food, live music and size of The Rowdy Beaver Restaurant & Tavern venue is perfect for everything from a casual meal to a wedding reception. We'll be back!

The RB restaurant is OK, but the dive bar on the end is great. Gritty and comfy; just like I wanted. Good bartender, bar food, and a decently stocked bar. Thumbs up!!

The service was outstanding, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. One thing I especially appreciated was the atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Eureka Springs. It's a dining experience well worth having!

We had a 6:30 p.m. reservation but arrived around 6:00 pm to figure out downtown parking. We expected to wait, but what bothered us was watching two couples with the same reservation time arrive after us and get seated first. We weren't seated until 6:33 pm. The host wasn't welcoming or accommodating. Our server didn't seem to care about us and was not attentive, and she came across as more snobby than friendly. The food, however, was exceptional. The Caesar salad was outstanding, featuring a high-quality eggless dressing with a mustard-forward flavor. The smoked short rib was generously portioned and a great value, especially since many upscale restaurants charge extra for sides. The mac and cheese, had great flavor but was very rich and thick, making it quite heavy. The smoked duck was another standout--perfectly cooked. I think a berry-based sauce would've elevated it even more than the tangy barbecue sauce, but it was still delicious. The restaurant itself has character. In the back, there's a cave-like structure where we were seated, which made the experience feel unique and memorable. I just wish the hospitality had matched the caliber of the kitchen, because no matter how good the meal is, we didn't feel genuinely welcomed.

The chicken fried steak is the best. Not greasy. Huge! The gravy is on point. We tried the cream cheese corn and I'd have to say that I thought the green beans are better. The onion rings are incredible! The mashed potatoes are very good. The service is good. The only issue we had was that we had ordered a side order of onion rings. When a huge basket came out, I asked if this was the side order and the waitress quickly commented that she had put it in as a side order but that they sent a whole order. She said she would adjust it but when she brought the check she said that she took off 10%. Quickly doing the math, the basket we were charged for was $11 while the side order is $5. 10% didn't come close and we barely made a dent in the basket of delicious rings. The live music was nice but they might need to tell the entertainer that it isn't meant to be a show, just background. He doesn't need to be the center of everyone's meal. Local Flavor is a must try! You won't be disappointed.
