I really enjoyed stopping here and having lunch. The restaurant is divided in half with a bar atmosphere on one side and restaurant on the other. I love sitting at the bar, so I opted for the non-restaurant side which serves the exact same menu. First order of business, order an Ole Chap which is a local amber beer then a Crispy Chicken Club with coleslaw. The barkeep was on it, she had my beer served up and my order placed within mere minutes of me hopping up to the bar. I really wanted to try the Beaver Balls but they had sold out the night before. Guess everyone wants Beaver Balls on a Saturday night. My food arrived in good time and was excellent. The chicken was crispy and crunchy with a great taste and not completely overpowered by bun. The coleslaw was thick chopped and not runny. Can't stand runny coleslaw. At first sight on the Crispy Chicken I thought I would for sure need a to go box but I woofed down every bit it. read more

Came to eat at the Rowdy Beaver in Eureka Springs Arkansas. I didn't want to eat in a bar because of the noise. So since this place is a restaurant, I chose it. Well, the restaurant side is closed do to slow business during the week. So, you could only sit in the bar side of the restaurant. Looked at the menu. It truly is the worst menu I've ever seen. No, real variety. Bar food type choices. Exorbitant pricing. Cattleman's in OKC gives larger portions for less money. Dirty menus so I went ahead and wiped the table. Black stuff on the napkin but not to bad. I'm starving because I haven't had a thing to eat all day. At this point I'd Eat anything. ANYTHING! LASTtime I ate here. I ordered the chicken fry. It came out literally burnt. I went and found the Manager. His answer???? "That's how we serve them." What a Moron. Dinner just arrived. Stay tuned. Gravy is the consistency of axle grease. No kidding, thick like paste. Guess the cooks don't know to add water every once in a while and give it a good stir. Chicken fried chicken was moist and flavorful. My favorite part of the whole meal was the excellent baked beans. Very good. Appetiser of potatoe skins not such a good presentation but decent in taste. They had some pickled peppers of some sort. They were very tasty. My friend had fried catfish. Huge filets and cooked to perfection. They were very good. However, I would only recommend Rowdy Beaver on the weeknight as a last resort. If you are a visitor I would skip this place. It is less than a minute from Loblolly Pines Camp Cabins. The wings were dribbled with sauce and cold. Probably baked or reheated but gross. Ordered a burger, medium. It arrived burnt around the edges. I was so hungry that I kept eating but was definitely not worth $16. Good Lord I wish i could give this place ZERO stars. Our food was cold. The service was very poor. It took 30 minutes just to get us some cold chicken and incorrect plates. About 3 meals came out warm and correct, the rest were cold and/or wrong. The burger was over cooked and tasted awful. The only good thing here is the ranch. Multiple people I was with have begun to feel sick after eating here. This has to be the worst restaurant in AR. Please do NOT come here unless you want ranch or to throw up. read more

Tried to eat out and decided to support a local restaurant big error. I saw that they had prime rib on the menu and for 33 dollars I figured it would be pretty good.the food came and I immediately knew I was in trouble the meat had not been cut from a roast but had been fried on a flat iron grill the meat was so tough that I didnt even finish the one bite that i cut . If a restaurant is going to serve prime rib then they should be sliced not just tossing an old ribeye on the grill. I asked for a take out box and the waitress who was very nice btw brought it to my table and never asked why i wasnt eating it I figured she probably knew. I ordered a beer for myself. I noticed the waiter approaching with my beer filled to the top. She ended up spilling a quarter of it on me. She was semi apologetic and i didnt get refunded for the beer. I had to deal with the stickiness all day because I was far from home and had plans. I ordered the okra and chicken strips. The okra was bland and the chicken was well seasoned and juicy. So I would recommend the chicken strips but not the okra. As soon as I had walked in the door I thought to myself I was in far a long ride.I also was going to ask for barbecue sauce but she didn't return for 30 minutes. She did a great job. Her name was Sandra I believe. The food was hit and miss. The catfish was good. The tarter sauce was just so so. The fries tasted like frozen fries I can make at home. The hush puppies were amazing! So much flavor. The coleslaw was very good as well. My husband and I spilt the country fried steak and mine was tender and good and his was gritty and hard to even cut. My mashed potatoes were very good. From what I could tell the place seemed clean. We were seated at the front so I didn't explore much further than that. So ok let's talk about food first. The French dip sliders were pretty darn good. The dip part was spot on and prefect and warm! The slices of meat were tender and just melted in your mouth. I was afraid this was gone be too much food, but it was the right amount. I was a little let down by the okra. It was just ok but the breading was just missing something. The beer was cold and the apps were pretty darn decent too. So I can't give it a 5 bc it wasn't a knock me off the shelf meal and it really lost a star bc of service. Worst possible food and service Walked in as bartender if it was possible to sit outside, he said yes, he would send somebody waited over an hour outside. Nobody ever showed up. Customer came out to have a cigarette said she would mention to her waiter that we were sitting outside. Young gentleman came out, said that we were his third table. He had just got to work order a bacon cheeseburger, no bacon on it , had to ask for a silverware had to ask for a knife had to ask for a napkin ordered two lemon blueberry cheesecakes to go for dessert and we got pumpkin never said a word about pumpkin asked for blueberry lemon blueberry cheesecake. My grandson ordered a hamburger and a baked potato, his hamburger wasn't bad the baked potato they gave him one little container of butter and a spoon. Don't quite know what he was supposed to do with the spoon. A fork would've been nice or silverware all the way around would've been nice along with napkins, I've eaten at Beaver before never had a bad meal Was one of the worst I've had in a long time probably will not be back for quite a while. I would highly recommend just sticking it out and going to Mcdonalds instead of wasting your time here. The staff was nice, and very cheery. There are two sides to this place - the bar and the restaurant. We ate on the restaurant side. Yum! The fried green bean appetizer was great, big fat green beans in a light batter. Almost tasted healthy! The fried onions were also awesome. I had the French dip sliders with apple sauce, he had the 10oz sirloin with beans & coleslaw. Everything tasted great and came out quickly. Finished off with an apple bread pudding which was also yum. Service from Nanette was friendly and efficient. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back. But 1 was not made! 9 beers, (bottles), malibu & sprite, bloody mary, dr pepper, water. I am an ex bartender and this was beyond bad service. The manager should have been helping out in the bar. Nope. The boyfriend dragged me in here without me having a chance to look at Yelp and never again. The key for the lower rating of this place is the service. They do not greet guests when guests step in- we saw a few couples sit down and then leave when they aren't addressed within mins. The food is okay for some items and inedible for others. The fried green beans are good but the beaver balls are nasty. The steak was 3.5-star experience. Mostly a watering well for locals at the bar. Probably cool place to hang if I drank but I do not.
