The cultural vibes in here are as immaculate as the acai bowls themselves. They're usually playing upbeat, lively music and there's such an epic mural on the wall. There are several different bowls that come in a couple of categories, or you can get smoothies or toasts. I usually do the acai bowl with chocolate in it, and it never disappoints. I will say though... that they're more like cups than bowls, but it's the quality of the food itself that counts right? I'm a huge fan. They also have these tasty cheesy bread bites -- it's called pão de queijo. I enjoy those, and will most likely get some sooner than later. Roxa (pronounced ho-sha) Bowl is where a Venezuelan restaurant used to be (that I was sad to see go), but whenever I want a healthy snack, this place typically comes to mind. Looking forward to supporting in the future!

My bestie was in town and she lovessss an açaí bowl so I had to take her here. She was obsessed, she finished her bowl in less than 5 minutes. I got the caribe bowl and was a little bum. The bowl was good but I think I had a little bit too much granola that I couldn't really taste the açaí itself. So next time I would probably not include it or ask for just a little granola. The spot itself is super cute to sit, eat, chill, do work, or people watch.

Kind of shocked this place wasn't more busy it's in a great location maybe a little hidden but none the less around other restaurants and grocery stores that stopping here wouldn't be out the way. I made my own smoothie with strawberry, banana and almond milk and condensed milk, I thought the condensed milk would make it sweeter along with the fruit but it sort of lacked the sweetness I was looking for maybe next time I would add honey which is also an option they have. As far as everything goes what they have on the menu and the options to create your own as healthy as you want or as sweet and maybe a substitute for dessert that option is there. Will come back whenever I'm in the area which is quite often hope they have more foot traffic soon as the weather warms up.

Had the Roxa bowl & Smoothie- perfectly sweet, perfectly sweet, perfect standard açaí bowl! Looking forward to coming back and trying the baxcuca. Great spot!

I really enjoyed my açaí bowl; I immediately could tell they used really fresh ingredients. Very friendly staff and plenty of seating inside. I'm looking forward to coming back soon. Highly recommend!

The espresso was smooth and mild -- not too bitter or sour. The service was average, as I waited over 10 minutes to receive my drink. Prices were reasonable for a small coffee shop. There is a seating area, but depending on the day and time, it can get very crowded and the music can be quite loud. It's not the best place if you're looking for a quiet spot to sit and read. There's a small parking lot in front of the shop, but spaces are limited. Some customers park briefly to grab drinks and leave, and if your car gets blocked in, you may need to wait before exiting.

Creamy and spicy without too much sweetness. I often get my coffee beans from here. They print their roast date on the bottom of the bag (roasted at their hyattsville location) and they always have a great variety of beans. Occasionally I'll get an almond croissant and enjoy it if there's seating. On nice days, there are benches right outside, even with a view of the parking lot and the construction across the street, it can be nice. I enjoy this location, though parking is tight. If you're not lucky enough to get a spot, you can park next door in the paid lot behind the businesses right past Vigilante.

Service was great. We were waited on right away and the young lady explained different choices for smoothies. I decided to go with the Tropical Smoothie. My granddaughter ordered the Tropical Bowl. She was really excited that they have gluten free granola. We sat down and I loved the cute decor. There were really cute posters and warm woods. A fun fruit mural covers the front wall, as you walk in the door. My smoothie was fruity and delicious. It was so large, I didn't think I would finish it, but I did. My granddaughter loved her bowl and she even scraped the bottom of the bowl, for any leftover bits. That should tell you how good it was. I took off one star because prices are high. But, given the wholesome ingredients, great service, and gluten free options...I think this well worth it. As, one of the cute t-shirts says, " I really regret eating healthy today, said no one ever! " I agree.

She came down and said "you wanted to speak to me?" I asked her "why did you tell security to check my pockets?" She dismissed me timidly saying "Oh I didn't tell him to do that" I said "no, he told me that he was told by the manager to do searches, why was I asked to be searched?" She backed away and the security guard took over, breaching my personal space and trying to intimidate me. I asked him to get out of my face and he refused. I asked to speak to the manager and they refused. When I asked under what grounds they chose who is being searched, They refused to answer. I was told to exit and I refused until I could see evidence to justify me being banned, for not complying to a search. I was told no. The security guard continued to tell me to leave, and grabbed my Canada goose jacket and groceries, took them to the exit and put them on the wet, dirty ground. I am despondent. This is unacceptable.
