I had a great experience at Roxanne's! Purchased a dress for a formal gala event on my first visit. I read other reviews that made it seem like the staff was not body positive, but I felt as though they definitely were! I just had a baby so I'm larger than my typical size and they were very accommodating / empowering. Ended up with a fit that made me look and feel great. The ladies were all very nice! if I could give a 0 I would. Lola, the owner, is extremely rude, disrespectful, stubborn, ill-mannered, and unprofessional. The dresses are beautiful but the terrible customer service is not worth the trip or hassle. I tried talking things over with Lola to come to a common ground after the whole fiasco occurred, but she is unwilling and too defensive to have a proper conversation with. Based on her previous reviews this is who she is, my experience is not the only one that's excruciatingly terrible. Save yourself the pain, and go somewhere else. BUYER BEWARE! Weddings are suppose to be joyful. My first born son is getting married in October 2019. This was a first for me to look for a designer dress. I truly love Terani Couture and had the two dresses to show the owner, Lola, prior with lots of text message. Roxannes is not retailer for Terani Couture, but could not be honest with me. Long story short, I was steered into purchasing one of her stock dress (she will tickle your ear for her benefit and not yours). So in July I paid $861.44 for a stock dress and had buyers remorse and asked less than 24 hours to credit my account. THE BIG THING: IS I NEVER TOOK THE DRESS OUT OF THE STORE and my bank said this is good and helps my case. I just wanted a credit, so I could go find the dress I desired. Lola will hold you hostage to these very expensive dresses even if you don't take the dress. When I contacted her less than 24 hours later, that I would like her to credit my account for $861.44 and that I would like to start over, than and only then Did she tell me "all sales are final." By law, in accordance with the FTC, the seller must tell you about your right to cancel and must give you two copies of a cancellation form. She manipulated the receipt according to my banker in July 2019, folded it over, where it says in small print, all sales are final. This is so sad. No other business does this, and if all sales are final, they tell you and there are signs, as well. THE SAD THING, too, is when I asked and asked for the credit, LOLA said I have to charge you a restocking fee?! I NEVER TOOK THE DRESS FROM THE SHOP. This is a very expensive dress shop in Scottsdale. My bank did do a final credit based on all my texts and paperwork in August, so I could go get the dress I desired. Lola could have been honest but it was all about her. Truly. Why not make your clients happy? Low and behold just a few weeks before my sons wedding, Believing this was over in August based on my bankers letter, I received a letter from my bank Saying that the provisional credit was being returned to Roxanne's. I was in tears all day yesterday to think how anyone could be so down right evil. Yes, evil. I had to contact Lola today and said take your $200. She said, no that deal us off and you can pick up your dress that's in the back that is wrapped up. My heart is so heavy. So BUYER PLEASE PLEASE BEWARE AND GO TO GLAM SQAUD IN SCOTTSDALE FOR YOUR WEDDING DRESSES, MOTHER OF THE BRIDE OR GROOM, PROMS, PAGEANTS. THE OWNER TRULY IS KIND AND GIVES SO MUCH BACK TO CHARITIES. Went here with my daughter and stayed for maybe two minutes. Immediately when we walked in, a woman came up to us to explain the buying process and proceeded to talk about the "major alterations" that my daughter's dress would need while looking at her in disgust. I drove 2 hours to come here for the prom dress that I had been looking at. The first thing the lady says when I walk into the store with my boyfriend is "you need a parent" like we were children. I told her that we were both 18 and I was paying with my own money, she said that she had almost gotten a lawsuit last year for a kid coming in and spending almost $1000 on her mother's credit card. Maybe that's because the cashier wasn't smart enough to ask for an ID before selling the dress to a minor. I do not see how that should affect their other customers' ability to shop. I was on the hunt for a specific Sherri Hill dress and I called and spoke with Lola. She mentioned they didn't have the dress in store, but she had a similar style dress that I could try on. Literally one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever walked into. Normally don't leave reviews no matter how bad the experience was but I'm leaving this to warn future shoppers to stay away. Owner ( Lola ) was rude. Came here at 12 because that's when she told me to come in to pick up my dress and she said I needed to wait another 30 minutes (I live far and had a fitting to go to at 1.) she said she'd call me about my dress when it came in and never called I had to find out by calling her??? My prom was in a week. When I did call her about my dress she said she "didn't know if it was the right one"?????? She also kept asking me for the dress number when she never gave me that or told me. Businesses should keep records of things like that. When I walked into the store to try on my dress it was the wrong one. She offered me a refund and said " I don't need your money that bad anyway" but I didn't know if I could find a dress on time so I was like "I'll wait until Friday" (which was when it was supposed to come in , the right dress) Finally on friday I've decided I didn't want the dress anymore and asked for the refund that she offered and she said no and that "she'd rather talk to my parents." Lola is rude, deceiving, unprofessional and to be honest someone else needs to run this store because she is doing a shitty job at it. Body shamers!! Worst customer experience EVER. I took my SIZE TWO daughter in to try on prom dresses. She picked two, one a size 2 and one a size 00. The young woman told her to try on the 00 just to see how it fit and how big we would want to order up if she liked the dress. Thereafter two sales clerks in the store- one which I now know is the owner- REFUSED to let my daughter try on the dresses. Kept saying "they wouldn't fit". My daughter was mortified and ran out. Again, she's a very thin size two. There was no reason for her not to try the dresses on!!! I cannot believe in this day and age that this is the way we treat our young women. Out on a Bridesmaid shopping trip we stopped into Roxanne's. The dresses looked beautiful although we were approached by who seemed to be the store owner/manager walking around barefoot .... odd. We tried on a couple of dresses which were nice and did mention our hopeful price range but were open to find the right dress. We saw one that was beautiful and over our price range by a couple hundred dollars (not thousands). We asked to try it on and she proceeded to tell us we could not try it on with no explanation. I have never in my life been to a store of any kind that refuses to allow a customer to try on the merchandise. It was a very unpleasant, embarrassing and uncomfortable experience to what should be a fun enjoyable occasion. She knew nothing about us and had no reason to judge our income especially when she can't even wear shoes or socks in a "couture" dress shop! read more

Will share my horrible experience with everyone I come in contact with. I went in four years ago for a dress and Lola the store manager (I'm assuming her position) convinced me I was a size 10 and was very rude and persistent about it (I am always a size four and my measurements were fit for a four) she said we can do alterations it will be fine! The dress came in and as you can expect, when I put it on it slid right off and seemed unalterable and if it was altered the price would be extremely hefty. My mother and I refused to except the dress and demanded our money back, after a very heated argument with the rude owner we got store credit. She told us IT NEVER EXPIRED and her signature on the paper is proof. Flash forward to four years later, we still have the credit we were going to use for my senior prom and my mom went back in and the lady was like "I have no record of this store credit this is fake" and the lady's signature was clearly on it and she demanded our credit card statements so good thing my dad is organized because he went back four years to august/September and found the statements. We returned to the store after a few hung up and declined phone calls (to the store) and she still was rude about the credit and eventually gave it to us but was not gracious and was extremely disrespectful. My mom refused to let her measure me as she was worried she'd try to scam us for over priced alteration money she pockets(check yelp you'll see that this is actually a thing she does and I've heard from friends that this is common of the store) she finally agreed to get us the four in the dress we wanted to purchase with our store credit and my mom paid 70$ to overnight it as we needed it asap for my prom. After that we thought we were done and would have the dress very soon. Wrong. We called the 18th the day SHE TOLD US it would arrive and she completely changed the narrative and was like "I never said that I never said it'd be here the 18th you never paid overnight shipping that didn't happen" and we definitely did pay for it so she pocketed it and gave us regular shipping im presuming because the dress came a week later then it was supposed to arrive. While arguing with her (typical interaction with her) on the phone about the overnight shipping she started screaming at my mom saying she "didn't even know if we actually paid for the dress" "didn't pay overnight shipping" "ordered too late". This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a store and every encounter has been very unoleasant. It's a shame because this store is one of the only Sherri hill retailers in Arizona, this store needs to be out of business. It's a scam. Very displeased. My friend told me about bbb and I thought I'd share it on here as well as every other platform I can find. Where do I even start? This was the worst experience i have ever had in getting a bridesmaid dress. First, when we go In around June-July Lola didn't have the color we wanted (burnt orange) so she starts pulling out all these colored fabrics and showing us pinks and tried convincing us to get those because they're "in the family". I literally laughed out loud at how absurd that was. Anyways we found a different dress in a different color the bride was happy with so we paid the deposit and waited. Lola calls me sometime in September at 9PM while I was driving to California to tell me my dress was ready to be picked up and when i stated I couldn't go that weekend to pick it up she became angry and demanded I pay for it over the phone. I don't know who pays for the entire amount of the dress without seeing it and trying it on first, but that's what she wanted me to do but I refused. She called the other bridesmaids but one that same night. During that week she called the bride and told her we were terrible bridesmaids because we refused to pay over the phone and couldn't go when she wanted us to. The maid of honor called her and told her not to call us because she was incredibly rude over the phone and she would pass the messages along to us. The maid of honor went Oct. 31 to look at the dresses and she ordered the WRONG dress. Lola tried to fight it at first but we made her check her receipts, and she checked up on our order and said they were in Vegas. If I had paid for the dress over the phone she would've probably made me take the wrong dress because I already had paid for it. On Nov 5 she called and said the dresses were there for pick up. This is 2 weeks for the wedding mind you. We go pick up the dresses on Nov 9th and they're the correct dresses finally. We try them on and pay then she starts hounding one of the bridesmaids saying she's good person and not rude at all. Then continues by saying we're horrible bridesmaids and that the dresses were there for 2 months and we never picked them up. I have time stamps of every time she called me always at 9pm so I can prove she is a liar. She starts arguing with the bridesmaid saying that she has no room in the back to keep the dresses. Another bridesmaid told her she NEVER called to tell her the dress was there and she got loud and said that it was OUR responsibility to call her. NO. NO MAAM. If the wedding wasn't so soon we would've left our dresses there and have gone somewhere else but we were stuck with this lady. Please save yourself the hassle and money and don't go here. I'm a pageant girl and I had to find a dress 2 weeks before the pageant and I've been looking for months. The moment I came in, Lola did her thing and helped me find the perfect dress the complemented my skin tone and figure. She's a stylist herself so she knows what looks good on someone, so she is very honest but I appreciate it. I'd rather have someone who is honest and skilled in this area helping me, than having someone lie to me and say a dress looks good on me just to make a quick buck. I wasn't rushed or pressured to buy anything during my visit and I was treated with respect and kindness. I left finding the perfect dress and was satisfied as a customer.
