[[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior of the restaurant was really nice and I was seated promptly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress came to get my drink order and I told her I wasn't sure if I was going to get breakfast or lunch, so I wanted to hold off on deciding my drink. There was a long wait after that so I started reading my book. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant had cleared out within 5 minutes of my arrival, so I was the only one there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just when I was about to get up and leave, my waitress returned. I asked her if their orange juice had pulp in it and she said that it didn't, so I ordered the 5B Hickory Bacon and Cheddar Omelette, which came with toast and hash browns, and had orange juice for my drink. My food came before my drink and the waitress apologized and came back with the drink shortly thereafter. The orange juice had pulp in it. The hash browns looked burned and tasted burnt. My waitress did not come back to check on me until I was almost done eating, so I was stuck with the drink I had been given and I did not mention to her that the orange juice did, in fact, have pulp in it. My omelette was okay. I waited, and waited, and waited some more for my waitress to come back with my check. When my patience had run thin and I could feel myself starting to get really annoyed, I went to the register. I waited again for someone to appear. Just when I peeked into a room to ask the person there if she could help me, my waitress came out. She apologized and said she had went to the restroom. The good thing is that since I had gone up to the register, I saw a sign that said military (active and veterans) could get a 15% discount with proof of service. After such a miserable experience, I was glad to get a discount on my meal. My waitress did thank me for my service which I always appreciate, and that is part of the reason I gave 2 stars. Everything was very okay. Usually a 15-25 minute wait. Each time I go, the waitresses seem very busy and stressed but they are always nice. Wait times for service can a little long if the wait staff is sparse for refills/silverware/etc.. They have a long menu with fantastic sounding daily specials or seasonal plates. They look phenomenal and the ingredients seem to be of good quality. However, the food feels hit or miss for me. I've only been twice - the first time the pecan waffles were very dry and crumbly no matter how much syrup was used, and the second thing was the Caramel cheesecake french toast. It had a strong flavor of poblano peppers to the bread, there was chorizo or corned beef hash burnt to the bottom of the food, and the apples were ultra salty and the whole thing was a bit dry. It was the saltiest french toast I've ever had. It was edible, but just a hint of wrong flavors each bite. First time visiting here. Had a short 20 minute wait to be seated which is pretty normal on a Sunday. The waitress was very nice and made sure to keep our coffee filled up. We always like to try the biscuits and gravy wherever we go so we ordered just a half order so we could try it. It was very good. Not number one on my list but still very good. The Benny's were delicious!! My mom ordered the traditional and it was great. The ham was delicious and thick. I ordered the BST Benny and it was awesome!! Fried green tomatoes on top... perfect!! The bacon was thick and crunchy. The hash browns were PERFECT!! Just the right amount of crunchy!! We had a group of 3. Greeted at the door and seated in the requested booth. Server was friendly and communication was great as our trio was old friends connecting and not focused on menu. We ordered coffee which unfortunately she did not offer to refill. Water was refreshed. Food was served as we ordered, hot and delicious. Prices were lower than we anticipated which was awesome. Roxie's is located where Michelle's on Gull Road once resided. Good, basic breakfast. Our server, whose name I didn't catch, was very sweet and personable. Husband ordered the corned beef breakfast ($9.99) and I ordered the one meat, hashbrowns and toast. ($7.99) You could tell the "regulars" were all there in full force as everyone seemed to know each other. I imagine they were holdovers from Michelle's. Sunday mornings are the best. My daughter and I always look for a new place for breakfast. This mornings choice was Roxie's Breakfast and Lunch. I LOVE Eggs Benedict so that was my choice. Traditional, but with ham and that ham was so good. Just enough salty. My daughter ordered Eggs Benny also but with fried green tomatoes, spinach and hollandaise. Of course I had to taste, and it was delicious. Also tried their biscuits and gravy which is something we do wherever we go. 1/2 order was perfect. Loved it. We were told there would be a 30 min wait but we were seated in about 20 minutes. Service was excellent, coffee was kept full. Restaurant was very comfy and clean. Food was good...it took like 45 minutes to get eggs and toast. They weren't busy but maybe short staffed.

This review is based on the fact that when my coworkers called to ask about catering our staff training day earlier this month no one bothered to return the multiple phone calls so we had to find someone else to cater. We had hoped to let a local restaurant cater our event to support a local business. I'll be giving my catering recommendations to other resturants from now on. read more

We enjoyed our breakfast. It was flavorful and just outstanding. That bourbon cinnamon roll should be on the regular menu not just featured on the special's menu . Although, the menu has great items and is unique in most respects. From the time we entered the restaurant it was the fact that everyone was so nice and welcoming that got me. Ordered take out, the food was average. Burnt toast and the waffles were a little too sweet for my liking, tasted like they were coated in sugar very dense. They also didn't give us the drinks we ordered. got a cappuccino, but was told there was none left supposedly so I had to get lemonade will say lemonade is very good very fresh. read more

There is several of us that go to Roxies once a month and although the food would have tasted pretty good almost all of ours was not even close to being warm.Although the group varies on the number that goes there. It is most generally 20 -24 people.It wouls be great if our breakfasts were all hot.The waitress is always friendly and makes sure our coffee cups are filled up. The service is very good.
