Yummy! We were in from out of town and Roxy's was the first place we went, based off of reviews and it did not disappoint! I was intrigued as to what Mexican/ Indian fusion would entail, but everything was delicious. I personally had naan tacos, one saag paneer and one with coconut curry + sweet potatoes. They were so good, I was very impressed. My partner loved his tacos and ate every bite. I think he had one chicken and one birria. We also shared the corona queso with was okay but very spicy. Also to note, the chaitini was yummy but quite spiced it was the perfect palate cleanser after the meal! The restaurant itself was very cute and I noticed signs everywhere implying they have live music on the weekends, which I wish we were in town to experience! I AM HERE FOR IT! All about that fusion. A perfectly executed dance of Mexican and Indian flavors. I've been a fan of the Mexican/Korean taco fusion for years, but Roxie's is the first time I've experienced the Mexican/Indian fusion. Now don't expect one giant location. Roxie's is a super tiny place with a few picnic tables inside and out. In my experiences, often the best food comes from hole-in-the-walls like this with simple menus. Two words: DE and LISH. Freshness was oozing from each bite, as well as the accompanying sauces, or chutneys as they call them here. The Dada's Red Chicken was overwhelmingly tender, while the depths of rich flavor of the Saag Paneer made my mouth oh so happy. There's always a kicker, and their kicker has to be the tortillas. Double wrapped, pliable and held their own. I wouldn't be surprised if they make these by hand. It almost inherited the flavor of a thin naan. And I am not one to complain about that sentiment! Roxie's Tacos is amazing! I stopped in after seeing all the positive reviews for this business and took it as a sign, since I had just returned from a trip to India a few days prior. A fusion of Indian and Mexican food?! Sold! I must have showed up a couple minutes before they opened, but the door was open and the woman working was super friendly in explaining all of their options. I opted for a Dada's Red Chicken rice bowl, some nachos, and a Hibiscus Limeade, then I went to sit outside and wait for my meal. When the meal came out, it was a much heftier portion than I had anticipated, which was much appreciated. I filled their little cups up with the chutneys so I could try everything, and then went to work on the meal. The meal? It was FANTASTIC! I loved the spiciness (not hot spicy, like full of spices) of the bowl and the cilantro, and all the chutneys were unique and brought a little extra to the dish. The salsa for the chips even had a little extra Indian spices, adding to the "fusion" effect. The Hibiscus Limeade was pretty good also and had a nice mellowing effect for some of the spice (hot spicy). would love to go back here and try one of their burritos, but I'm not often in Boulder. If you happen to be passing through or even if you live within an hour drive, you won't be disappointed with the food and service. Good but I was expecting more. I was a little disappointed, especially with the many raving reviews on here on the tacos. The Saag paneer taco (yum!) certainly had the flavor but Dada's red chicken (well marinated but missing the spice factor for me) and Chana masala (chickpeas were firmer than I like - couple of them were slightly dry in the middle when it's not soaked/cooked completely) were just okay. I was hoping for some spiciness, and there was none. If you don't have a need for spiciness, then you will enjoy this place. I just need the "medium heat" cranked up a bit more in the cilantro chutney. This is supposed to be a fusion of Mexican and Indian food, both of which tend to have deep flavors as well as spice to match. Besides that, very fresh ingredients. Pickup: Fast. My friend and I were at an event in Boulder and decided to look on Yelp to find a yummy food spot. We looked around and saw that the description for Roxie's Tacos was "Indian" and "tacos." We weren't sure what that meant but because we're super adventurous, we tried them and we were NOT DISAPPOINTED! Roxie's is so delicious!! You can order tacos or burritos with Indian food as your filling. I have had the dada chicken burrito twice now (I've been back since) and love every bit of it. The sauces that accompany the delectable fillings are also so delicious that I need Roxie's to bottle them so I can take them home. Also, the employees are so nice! We came in approximately 9 mins before closing and were greeted warmly with a smile. I know that some places really dislike coming in last second, but Roxie's welcomes you. This place may have good food (I wouldn't know, still waiting on mine) but when you have someone who can't make an order a combo they probably shouldn't be working the counter. Waited from 1:05-1:10 to be acknowledged and then another 5 minutes to find out that we just couldn't figure out how to put in the order. 1:16 is when the order of a taco and drink were put in since no one knew how to make my taco a combo (cook and attendant at the counter). It's now 1:46 and I haven't got my order. Don't come here if you're in a hurry. India meets Mexico in the Rockies! That sure got my attention! I HAD to check it out. So we stopped for lunch while on a short trip to RMNP. It is a tiny little place. Two tables indoors and I saw one outside. All the components are cooked and kept ready, they only have to assemble your order. The vegetarian filling options are Chana masala and saag paneer. You can opt to have it in a taco, burrito, rice bowl or nachos. They have four chutneys to choose from, you can also mix and match all with no extra charge. We opted for a combo meal. It comes with two tacos, chips and a drink. Both the Chana masala and saag paneer were flavorful. But the amount of slaw on it spoiled it for me, I could hardly see the filling below and it really didn't let the curries shine. Bummer! Could also have used two corn tortilla shells as it was hardly holding up. (Have seen other photos on yelp with two shells, not sure why we got just one)We got the chutneys on the side and they were all pretty good. Would definitely stop here again, would love to try the burritos and rice bowl. Would ask them to go easy on the slaw though. Service is friendly. The prices are great. The combo meal at $8 is a good value for money. Currently they also have 50% off one combo meal for yelp check in. Can't beat that! read more

My favorite so far is the QuesoBirria taco plate and all of the sauces in their dipping sauce fridge are delicious and really enhances the food! AMAZING. I love this place. By day, literally the best fusion of quality, healthy, and well prepared food. They account for many types of diets and clearly display things like vegan and gluten free. Great prices as well, you really get what you pay for, and maybe even more?? I got a taco and it was just overflowing (in the good way) with gobbley goodness. Okay get this tho.... by night they're my go to spot for dancing. And I mean like rave vibes. Lasers, lights, passion. Like this is THE place. Omg one night I ordered a drink from the bar and you know, amazing (love the drink menu and original drinks). Anyway, next thing I know, the bartender is DJing!!!!! Like slammin down the best beats. Unbelievable in the best way. Many tips for these ladies and lads. Oh also, they serve food until 1am! *Full menu until 9pm, partial menu after 9pm* But their after-9pm menu is still a very plentiful menu (could have an entire dinner, even with a specialized diet). Okay I could keep on babbling about this but you might as well see for yourself. One ultra last thing: one time I went in at night to party (we love supporting local DJs) and there was a sign on an altar-like wall that said "Peace, love, and wubs" .... and that just truly enlightened me. The tacos were fantastic for an Indo-Mexican delight. The place, where its located is a bit sketchy. Parking is not easy. There were a bunch of homeless people sitting around this complex. The staff were friendly and all smiles, which was pleasing to see after walking over. The Dada's Chicken Taco was fabulous. The Paneer Saag Taco was excellent. Channa Masala Taco was decent, but not my favorite. The BBQ Pork was sweet and heavy. The chorizo was A-OK. My friend had the burrito and said he would prefer the tacos the next time. Tip: You cannot order in person at this time. Even if you get there, you might have to use the online order method to place your order. So I would recommend doing it before you head over. This way you don't have to wait. It takes about 20-30 mins for your order to get ready. read more

Excellent and unique fusion of Indian and Mexican! Yes, I know how weird that sounds, but it works. I arrived about fifteen miniutes after Roxie's opened. The young man at the counter asked me if I had been there before and I told him I had not. He enthusiastically explained the menu, and then recommended that since it was my first visit I should try the tacos since I could sample all the different flavors. I tried the red curry chicken taco and the saag taco, as well as an iced chai. I really enjoyed the red curry. It was a perfect blend of spicy and savory flavors and the tortillas balanced it out perfectly. The saag was just okay. It was exactly what it sounded like. If you put some saag on a tortilla with fix-ins and ate it, you would have Roxie's saag taco. I probably wouldn't have ordered the saag option had it not been for the recommendation of the employee, but I asked him what was good, and I'm always down for a new culinary adventure. The chai was super-spicy, but it was very good nevertheless. I will most definitely make a return trip to Roxie's Tacos if I'm on University Hill in Boulder, to try some of their other offerings. However, I probably wouldn't make a trip to the Hill just for the restaurant. read more

Cool concept. Fairly homogenized results. We tried all the taco options. The chipotle beef flavor of the day tasted like tamale filling to me. The chicken one was by far everyone's favorite. The chickpea one was pretty good and the saag taco was bland. We tried all the sauces and mixed and matched them. I thought the tamarind sauce was a nice enhancement. Poppadoms were okay. Kind of too thick. Glad I tried this and it was okay but I wouldn't bother having it again. I really expected a more potent variety of flavor when we tried every single type of filling, but they really were fairly meh and tasted quite similar. Customer service was pleasant and I loved all the compostable accessory items down to the wooden forks. read more

I've walked past this place several times since I went to CU. I was never a fan of tacos but was a big fan of Indian food. I had two friends in town from Wisconsin and took them here to try it (they love tacos!!!). It's a very small place. When ordering, you pick an entree (taco, burrito, nachos, or bowl) then a curry to go on that entree, and then a chutney bar is available to put on your food. The food itself was okay, nothing that blew my socks off. I'd rather eat at Gurkhas on the Hill. I got the rice bowl with the red curry chicken (pictured). My boyfriend and friend got tacos and my friend's boyfriend got the burrito. My boyfriend and I got our food but unfortunately, my poor friend had to wait like 25 minutes to get her tacos because they ran out of their red curry chicken. Luckily, they refunded the $$ for her tacos so that made our experience a little better. I would probably not try this place again but was worth a try. read more

Yum! After completing a vigorous hike in Boulder, I suggested that our group of four go here to eat because of the excellent reviews. I didn't realize it was fast casual, and there was hardly anywhere for us to sit. Also, there was no beer or drinks, which we all wanted after the hike, so keep that in mind! However, the chips & salsa and the taco that I had were amazing. I love Mexican food as well as Indian food, so a fusion of the two was absolutely delightful. I selected the "Channa Masala" which came with a lot of delicious veggies. Even though I only had one taco, it was very filling! Such great people! We had great food and excellent service. We have been meaning to stop in for dinner for a while and it was a perfect, mellow atmosphere. The food was delicious with amazing vegan (locally made tempeh!) and Gf options. We had the awesome kale slaw (super fresh and a perfect balance to heavier saucy taco fillings). The samosa taquito's were tasty, though samosa spices didn't come through too much. We tried four naan tacos with four fillings. We loved three of them and the fourth was good, too. One was a little salty. We had fun trying a few sauces from the fridge. The decor hasn't been updated since back in the day but we are happy to have a super chill place to relax and take our time over a fun meal. This was my first visit. I am a big fan of the concept. This translated into a fantastic meal. The food was excellent, nicely spiced and well balanced. There wasn't anything I didn't like about it. The pricing is very fair. I had my fillings without the tacos. I ordered three scoops of the Chana, 2 of the dada's red chicken, and one scoop of the saag paneer. I actually ordered two plates. It came with a kale slaw. The Chana was beautiful. The beams were just on the edge of some firmness, and the spice level was just to my liking. The server was extremely cheerful and the service was great. This is mostly a take out place. There are a couple of picnic tables inside. This place is top notch! Tasty, unique and well made food! Great quantities. Absolutely the best cocktails we've had in Durango. My wife loved her Mango Ginger Gin Fizz, which was very well balanced in sweetness, fresh ingredients and alcohol. I had a Mexican Mule (with choices of tequila) which is honestly the best version of this drink I have had. The key was their home made ginger beer (they also make their own kombucha). Fresh Ginger was a star in my wife's drink also. My wife got the Two Taco plate with Chicken Chile Verde and Saag Paneer. Both were outstanding. Very flavorful and not overly spicy. I had Nan tacos with red chile chicken and birria beef. The Nan was perfect and the fillings and toppings were wonderful. Great portions also! Lastly we ordered Chips and Queso with chorizo, green chilis and cilantro. Again so fresh and tasty. Service was also outstanding and the food came out very quickly. Indian-Mexican fusion works. I had the Naan taco platter with Sag Paneer and the Curry proteins. It hit the spot and made me wish I lived closer.
