The chicken was cold, barely edible and rubbery. The french fries were cold. $50 for three rotten meals. Save yourselves and order from a different restaurant. Good luck! Disappointing Roy Rogers. Do better!

It was a late lunch and early supper time while I was driving back and stopped in at PA state plaza off 1-476 to Scranton PA. I had my order ready in few minutes and was done right. They have special kiosk/ bar for adding condiments like salad/tomato's/ pickles/ onions etc on your burgers with ketchup/ mayo/ mustard/ horseradish sauces to spice it up.. I am very pleased with my coleslaw and fries done right. I will be back ..as sitting in area plentiful and clean. Restrooms are gender oriented and kept clean.

    Very clean! Pleasant young lady!

It's a fast food place on the highway so not a lot of choices but it was clean, food hot and staff was pleasant.

Very expensive! Cost me $28 for 2 pieces of chicken, fries, a burger and a soda. I missed Roy Rogers! I grew up with Roy's so I had to stop. No Fixin's bar due to covid. Same great taste but the price left a sour taste in my mouth. i will stop again on the way to the mountains to relive those memories again as it's a dying breed on the East coast.

[590] This Roy Rogers is located in the Allentown Reststop of the PA turnpike. We stopped in for a quick bite and ended up with the 10pk of chicken tenders for about $12. It was a bit pricy and they were ok. Some pieces were small and thin which was disappointing. The next morning we stopped on the way home and decided to try their breakfast. I was bit shocked to see eggs, home fries and biscuit platter was less then $3.00. What a great deal. There was plenty of egg (omelet) and a ton of home fries. The biscuit is the same one they use in the evening w/ the chicken. Very tasty! So for lunch/dinner it's ok and a bit pricy. Breakfast is definitely a steal especially at a rest stop. I'll be back.

This place is a hot mess. The two young men working there the evening I stoped in seemed to be completely overwhelmed by the two people in line. I mean, maybe it was my fault for having an order with burgers, a roast beef sandwich AND chicken. That's three potential things to mess up, and these two weren't going to let a challenge like that pass to the wayside. When it was all said and done, the order took forever and was completely wrong, but I had invested too much time already and had places to be, so we dealt with it. The "fixins bar" was a mess and completely missing a number of items, including ketchup. How do you run out of ketchup? Anyhow, this place is a a disaster, and you'd do well to make another choice if you're in this service area.

I'm usually a huge fan of the Roy Rogers format because of their Fixin's Bar. Other than Fuddruckers, I really can't think of any other place where you get to top your own burgers with all the lettuce, tomato and onions that you want. Extra ketchup, no mayo? Yep, you put your own sauces on, too. I just got a simple Roast Beef Sandwich and I'm bummed that I didn't take a picture of it. The meat was just gray. No flavor to it, even with a dose of their horseradish sauce. Adding three slices of tomato didn't help either. Disappointing, really. I guess that's why I've not been to a RR since I started Yelping at least six years ago.

We walked in and even though it was busy we were taken to our reserved table immediately. The place is big with nice decor and ambiance, and the tables are spaced out enough that it keeps the area around you quiet enough to be able to hold a conversation comfortably with the people at your table. Our server was with us quickly and took our drink orders. All of the cocktails were delicious and several of us got a second round! We got the bao buns, chicken skewers, and birria poutine to start and they were all extremely delicious. The poutine tasted more like molé though so I personally wouldn't call it birria, and the cheese was a molten cheddar-like kind and not cheese curds. It was delicious though so no one complained! I got the curry and subbed tofu for shrimp. It was a little bland and I honestly wish there would've been a bit more of the curry itself (there was so much rice) and some more salt/seasoning, but it was fine. I'd give it a 7.5/10. My coworkers all enjoyed their own dishes (especially the rigatoni) and they kept raving about them throughout the whole meal. Our server was attentive and kept the table clean and our water bottles topped up. I definitely recommend checking it out! We're keeping it i. our list for next time we're in town :)

Unfortunately, there was a strong cold draft at floor level, leaving our feet uncomfortably cold throughout the meal. The hostess was sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.
