Things have changed since I last raved about the roast beef sandwiches. Those are still more or less the same, which is fine, but they have gotten rid of the holster for the fries(no biggie); most importantly they've gotten rid of almost all health food. The salads are gone, and the parfaits are gone! The salads made a perfect side for the sandwich... I was relying on Roy Rogers, using my Weight Watchers app to have a relatively decent meal with fairly low points. Now that the salad is gone, that becomes impossible, and I'm very disappointed. The two stars. I assume the roast beef is the same. The only bright stars in this once wonderful chain is the server, and the place is always clean.

Food is ok, service is horrible. I got a little bit of everything and for it to be fast food, it was ok. My gold rush chicken sandwich was good bc of the sauce. The chicken was very hard but the bread was nice. Fried chicken tasted the best to me. I love the concept of the fixins bar where you can do unlimited toppings. Mash potatoes tasted standard. I liked the strawberry shortcake. The mushroom burger was so bad I took one bite and threw it away. It had some strange sauce that doesn't go well with the burger or maybe mine was just really bad. Service is just awful. They aren't friendly, they don't really care about you. They just take your order and give you your food and that's about it. Very straight forward and Uninviting. Including the manager who I spoke with directly and she was also not very pleasant. I'll need to try a different location bc I'll never go back here.

I never would have thought my 1st Yelp review for 2022 would be a fast food chain lol. My guy and I were out doing errands and he randomly said he had the taste for Roy Rogers. I haven't ate there in 20+ years. Not due to the taste or bad experience, but due to the lack of locations in MD. I was open to trying it again so found the closest to me was Burtonsville. I come to this shopping area for a couple other stores but never really paid attention to RR. We both ordered the 2 piece wing meal with 1 side and drink. I opted for mash potatoes and he chose fries. I also explored the dessert menu which I rarely do when eating out but couldn't resist on trying the strawberry shortcake. I don't know many fast food chains with that kind of dessert option so I went for it. Chicken was nice & crispy, not overly fried or greasy. The sides were good and we enjoyed the dessert. It was a good change to try another chicken chain over the popularized orange one. I don't eat fast food often but when I do, I'll be sure to come back to RR again.

Tried the new fish sandwich today . It was amazing ! Rage only downside was my order was messed up. My sandwich didn't have any tartar sauce and rather than correct the order the young boy behind the counter wanted to debate me . Service at this particular establishment ..: is always a hit and miss . Always clean in the inside but never know bout the service .

Ken's brand sweet & sour sauce? That's fancy!

Can I give it six stars? The drive-thru speakerbox is so loud, you can hear the person speaking six cars back. The food was amazing!! Every single thing, and every last bite: Bacon Cheeseburger Spicy Chicken Sandwich Onion Rings Fries Mashed Potatoes and Gravy Birch Beer Soda Hot, fresh, and scrumptious! They are also generous with the sauces. Love it! They close at 10PM, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow!

Update- Again, I'm not a huge fan of fast food but I do enjoy Roy Roger's in occasion. This visit I came in and I tried thier version of Arbys Beef n Cheddar the Smokey Beef n Cheese. Major disappointment, it was simply a regular roast beef sandwich with what I call, they buttered on side of the roll with a cheese sauce to where it was pretty much non existent. Poor job.

Only time I go to Roy's is when I'm craving sweets. I always get the Strawberry shortcake which I definitely recommend! Though my biscuit was crunchy (supposed to be warm) this has been the funniest service I've ever experienced! I wish y'all can hear how badly I'm screaming, dying of laughter! [insert laughing emoji] Shout out to that poor stressed out manager with short staff! I enjoyed listening to the conversation through the speaker when waiting to put in my order. Getting to the window and witnessing the chaos was the best part of my experience. I felt your pain man! I hope HR gets you more employees, cause the way you made sure that I was still okay through that drive through was enough. I hope them two girls working there get a raise as well b/c the patience they had was beyond great! I will definitely be back just to have a great laugh again!

Sometimes, you have bad days and I understand that. But today I had to chat with Tina of the drive through. Her Customer service. Needs major improvements. She was extremely short and there was no one in line but me. I had a couple questions about the food and she seemed HIGHLY annoyed. She asked me if that was all when I was still deciding and I said umm..still checking. Then she said sharply please drive around. I said of wait I'm sorry I wasn't done with my order. She said I thought you said you were done. I added to my order and she said OK. Then I asked for the total and it was silent. I said I'm sorry are you in a hurry? I didn't hear the total so she repeated back in a slightly better voice but definitely still undertones of being annoyed what my total order. When I came around to greet her at the window and give her my card she did not bend down to speak to me she spoke to me from the top of the window through the glass with the open window showing her torso which is very bizarre. I said to her I understand it's hard to hear sometimes on the intercom but you sound extremely short and annoyed. She said I'm sorry that's not how I meant to sound but in a very patronizing tone. When I got my food again she talked from above the glass with her torso in the full window. I said to her in needed jelly. She got me the flavor I needed. When I was leaving I said thank you Tina I hope your day gets better. She said very sharply "My day is just fine" and did an about face from the window. So again I love the food the customer service sucks. I LOVE Roy's because of the freshness, etc. But could do without the attitudes. In the time it took me to write this review there is still NO ONE in the drive through. So I parked to write it and it's empty. Not sure her deal.

Little pricey but it deserve and the portions are hugeee anyway so I made my lunch today with the left overs! If its weekend you can wait little long, but it deserve again:) İ really like the pea soup with hot dog. My Greek omlette was tasty. The sandwich is good, bread and everything the way they make. The best thing is the The deli meats they put inside, pastrami, turkey breast, tongue... Aaand I also tried something sweet from the bakery part! It was good too. I like it, I will finish it with my coffee, after my lunch.Maybe they have to add a few thing which made my dairy products... A bit light things:) I only didn't like the coffee. It was bitter and like old taste... Ambience was good.especially when they made the temperature I like the place. It wasn't cold at all. Normally in America they put the AC on. Never check the people if they are cold or not! The temperature was ideal... I think I have to visit the place more often

I loved every bite. I just wish I would have known to get it toasted. The regular white bread isn't doing it for me but that's minor. Tuna 8/10 The tuna was prepared really well, the crunch from the bread and the softness from the tuna was a great combo. The only thing I would change is some more seasoning on the tuna would push it over the time for me.

I got a fish sandwich: fried flounder, lettuce, tomato, red onion, american cheese and tartar sauce on a kaiser roll. The fish was thin and crispy, the toppings were crisp and fresh, proportions were good. Made fresh to order; it hit the spot. I wanted mozzarella sticks, too, but they didn't have any. There's a salad bar and there was a hot bar, too, which wings, fried chicken, and a couple of asian dishes. You order at the counter and then pay at the gas station attendant counter, so if you want chips and drink or other snacks, you can just get them in the station and pay like normal. The deli gives you a sticky note with the price of your order. The service was friendly and the line wasn't long, but there was a steady stream of customers coming in to pick up their orders or make an order. I came around lunch time on a Friday. Seeing people eating where you are is always encouraging; let's me know someone thinks the place is good. And now that I've ordered from there, I concur. They keep the place clean. There's a couple of tables and they looked newly wiped down when I got there. They close at 4 on weekdays and breakfast is over either at 10:30 or 11:30. Next time I go, I'm going for some breakfast items.

There are so many good items on the menu it really makes it hard to choose. We ordered way too much for a party of two and definitely had left overs. Every single item was delicious and the portions were ok based on price. Oxtail Pho: Good food lord almighty this was amazing. Oxtail in pho is brilliant. The oxtail was tender and tasty. Of course the pho broth and noodles just elevated the entree. This is a dine in menu item so plan to dine in their cute artsy restaurant if you want this. It's worth it. Bo-Khirria Eggrolls: Think birria tacos as an egg roll. Yes, these eggs rolls came with a bowl of delicious sopas to dip in. These could easily be eaten as your main dish. I'd certainly get full from it if I ate it myself. Of course I'd drink the juice to seal the deal. Oxtail Cheesesteak Banh Mi: More oxtail deliciousness as a cheesesteak Banh Mi wrap is great. It was better than some cheesesteaks I've had and that's speaking volumes. The oxtail was tender and the broth it's cooked in adds juicy flavors with each bite. I also ordered a Thai tea that's not pictured which was good. I plan to go back to try the oxtail fries and perhaps the tacos. Or more oxtail!

I wasn't originally planning to get food but could not help myself when I saw they had a Chicago style hotdog. It was tasty despite being a bit of a mess to eat with the topping piled high.
