    Gettin my favorite chicken on!

I believe all Roy Rogers restaurants are now privately owned so in the DC MD VA area there are only a few, not like in the old days. They consistently have good food and I love that they still have the Roy's Fixin's Bar where u can get condiments for your burgers. I also like their biscuits and coleslaw! You won't be disappointed at Roy's.

Agree with the previous review! Phenomenal milkshakes with real ice cream and you have to try the gold rush chicken sandwich!

I found Blue Wind Gourmet searching for Yelp to fuel up after a business meeting and before a long drive in the rain (east coast in February!). I was a bit confused when I walked in. The space is a wine and chocolate bar and has a hipster wine bar look which is suprising for the area. They also have sandwiches (including crab cake) and soup (crab & corn chowder) so I ordered both and settled in. Coffee for me, no wine (too early), but the wine selection looks impressive. The food came out in maybe 5 minutes, hot and fresh. The crab chowder was delicious, plenty of identifiable crab lumps and good flavor. The crab cake also had crab lumps, not just shredded crab. I did wish the sandwich was a bit bigger though. It was maybe about 3 inches square. Service was prompt and friendly too.

We went on a Wednesday for their Wine Wednesday bottle sale to-go, and the experience was so fun. The woman helping us was incredibly knowledgeable about wine and made it even better by offering us tastings so we could try different options before choosing. She was friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what she does. We also picked up some of their chocolates, including the chocolate-covered pretzels, and they were delicious. They had a great variety of treats and unique items to browse. If you're in the Patuxent River area and enjoy wine, gourmet snacks, and great customer service, I definitely recommend stopping by Blue Wind Gourmet!

You climb a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant. The inside is attractively decorated. Since it was a beautiful day, we chose to sit out on the covered porch, with views of the water. There were a number of parties there for Friday at lunch, but it was not full. We did not make a reservation for lunch, but I understand it is necessary at dinner. Our server was pleasant. We shared the fried green tomato appetizer (four slices, with marinara sauce & cheese). I ordered the chicken Milanese off the lighter menu. It was a fried cutlet, served with arugula and shaved parmesan, with a touch of a lemon dressing. Quite tasty. Others in the party ordered the lobster ravioli (which looked delicious) and the Bolognese. I would give the food five stars. There were a few hiccups with the service (having to repeat requests for bread, for a box for leftovers), but nothing that detracted from an overall nice experience. I would definitely go again.

Not Jerry's! It's like a time warp to the 80s or 90s: metal counters, floor tile in different shades of tan, and purple florescent lights that would have looked perfect in a 1993 school photo. Like the food pyramids of yore, the food is 80% processed carbs. Curiosity and hunger brought me in, but once I got inside and looked at the pictures on the menu, I had to admit defeat - I simply couldn't order either a sub or pizza, despite the restaurant's namesake. So I went with the salad and onion rings. The salad, mostly lettuce, as expected, was pretty lame, and I didn't detect any onions in the rings; I'd be surprised if it wasn't fried air. But the sauce - highlight of the meal! With an oily pinkish-red color and a bit of MSG-kick, I'd bet you could use it to convince any picky eater than a stick of asparagus was actually a french fry. But unfortunately, I've got to review the restaurant on the whole package, not just the sauce...

Attentive and never let the beer get empty and was willing to suggest substitutions or modifications with ease and expertise! We had the crab dip to start and honestly I'd give it a 3.2/5. Definitely had a crab flavor but it had much more cheese than meat. Wifey ordered the Brussels sprouts and old bay wings as her meal and I went with the prime dip with bacon and duck fat fries. Brussels weren't hoisin like on menu but left dry with a balsamic sauce on the side! Crunchy and flavorful! 4.4/5! Wings were perfectly seasoned and huge! Perfectly crispy and delicious. 4.7/5! As for the Prime Dip! Sooo much cheese. Must have a Green Bay Packer fan in the kitchen or something but hot damn. Prime rib was flavorful. Bacon was a genius addition by yours truly. Would order again. 4.89/5. Would love a seeded hoagie roll with this. Love this old watering hole. Irish Stout was a banger and Rud Light never fails! Will return!! 4.85/5!!!!

You have the option of dinning indoors and outside on the deck. No reservation required and plenty of room. The deck only has about 6 or 7 tables and you're in direct sun. We opted for the deck. It was warm with the sun beating down on us, but you can't beat the view and ambiance. A performer was indoors singing, which was a cute idea and people on boats would just pull up and dock and come into the restaurant. Pretty cool concept. The food was absolutely delish! We wanted to try the crab pretzel but they were unfortunately out of that dish, so we pivoted to the wings. Lemon pepper, to be exact. We loved them! I ordered the blackened salmon with a kale crunch salad and lime rice. That was probably the best salmon I've ever had! And the portion was huge!! I also ordered the lemonade crush. Perfect for a warm day! Our server was so sweet and helpful during our visit. She made sure to check on us frequently and she had a very pleasant demeanor. What's funny is she has an identical twin working here also and I would often confuse the two. Lol! All and all, we had a fabulous time!. After we ate, we did a little roaming around the area. The area has a lot of cool places to visit. Even though the ride here is about 1 hour 10 minutes from my house, it was sooooo worth the ride. Give the area a try! You won't be disappointed.

Tons of traffic, a Saturday night, live music, and right along the water. Combine all those things, and it was a packed strip of people and things to do. We got to The Pier and were greeted immediately and escorted to our seats. With the nice weather we opted to sit outside. Not the best move on our part as it turned windy while we were out there. We weren't going to let the wind stop us, we looked over the menu quickly and ordered waters until we decided on drinks. Well, the wind struck and took one of the menus up off the table and tipped over a water glass. Water doused one of our party and we learned our lesson on where to keep the menus until taken from us. I was advised that you had to get a bucket here. I had to ask what exactly is a bucket before I decided that. I was told that a bucket was just one of their drink in a bigger quantity service in a pail...or bucket. I was like, alright, let's do this. After looking at the menu I went with a Lemonade Crush, fresh squeezed lemonade, lemon vodka, and, as they put it, "a splash of soda." I don't drink often at this point in my life, but this was delicious. After a very long week of work travel, this was the perfect way to cap it off. As for food, I definitely went light. I only ordered an appetizer. I went with the Pretzels & Queso. These were like pretzel bites, so don't let the name mislead you and think you are getting multiple pretzels. Maybe pretzel balls is a proper way to describe it. The queso for this, some of the best I have ever had. The service here is top notch as well. Our server made sure we were taken care of and made sure that our orders were correct and came out.
