Extremely disappointing experience with Royal Air Maroc My baggage was lost during my flight, and despite contacting Royal Air Maroc several times by email, I have received no proper response, explanation, or meaningful update. I understand that baggage can sometimes be delayed or lost, but what is unacceptable is the complete lack of communication and customer support. I have been left without clear information about the status of my baggage and have had to repeatedly contact the airline without receiving an answer. This review is about one of those experiences you can't believe you had, although I'm not surprised it came to fruition. I needed to travel between Portugal's OPO airport and more populous Europe. I wanted to use miles from my American Airlines account to do it, thinking their partner Iberia (of Spain) would offer up a linear enough route for a low number of miles. That wasn't the case. Coming in at a mere 12,500 miles and about $50, another AA partner - Royal Air Maroc (RAM) - offered this trek. This wasn't an everyday trek, with an early afternoon arrival to their hub in Casablanca, having to overnight, and then continuing the following morning. There were several incentives to do it: one can check off setting foot on the African continent, albeit Mediterranean in affect and not at all sub-Saharan, one could spend part of a day in Casablanca, the lodging cost was about a "wash," and the final leg was operated with a Boeing 787, of which RAM is justifiably proud. Also, had French not been the official second language, I would have never considered this! Are you seeing the payoff of taking French instead of Latin with insufferable debate club types while in Catholic high school? The trip began at Porto's likeable OPO airport. RAM had a few counters open and I was able to check in 2 pieces of luggage. Out on the field was an ATR 72-600 prop instead of the expected Boeing 737! Truth be told, this strange looking prop did its job, taking off effortlessly and navigated the skies just outside the Strait of Gibraltar to this not that far away yet "exotic" place to change planes. Everything on board was perfunctory, including the service. They did feed you, which was much appreciated at about lunch time. The next day's continuing journey would be much more involved. One had to return to Casablanca Airport (CMN) on the ONCF commuter train, which was reasonably priced and travels to and from the Casa-Port station in the center. This time, things weren't as pleasant. The counter wanted to charge me for that second bag when my confirmation said 2 pieces. I didn't argue with them because I quickly shuffled things and carried on 2 small bags. Once aboard the aircraft, one asks themselves what's there not to like about the Boeing 787 Dreamliner! I very much like the 787 and had a good window seat close to the front. The ambient conditions were good, the seats were comfortable, and they served lunch. The cabin staff was a little curt and, as I walked around the cabin and took a few photos of it with the cabin dimmed, one of the flight attendants got unhinged. People might just do that to commemorate something as unique and atypical as flying on a RAM 787. On the other hand, the fact that it is Royal Air Maroc could bring about these stricter protocols. Since there is no provision to review CMN, I'll include some observations about this airport - the airline's home. Passport control was slow and it was even slower in the security queue the following day. Both check-in and security were very bureaucratic and sort of sullen. However, once into the gate area for their larger planes for international trips, that concourse is nice enough. Note that, as you wheel your luggage from baggage claim to the ONCF train to the city, there might be overly friendly cats who might greet you and have no qualms about climbing on top of your luggage. This could have been one of the better things about deplaning in Casablanca. Coincidentally, a friend was flying on RAM from Montreal to Northern Italy a few days before. Without having to leave the airport at Casablanca, he reported that everything was satisfactory: the food on board was decent, the service was attentive, and they used "a real big plane" from Montreal to Casablanca. The 787 is commodious, but not exactly huge. Royal Air Maroc does not go too far west into the U.S. - it's New York-JFK, Washington DC, Boston, and Miami. In Canada, they go to Montreal year round. This makes sense since a fair number of places in the Arab speaking world overlap with the French speaking world. An afternoon in Casablanca is a rushed experience. I walked by Rick's Café en route to their landmark oceanside mosque. I had wanted to eat at Rick's, but, by dinnertime, I was exhausted by the sensory overload of all that had taken place earlier and would likely take place continuing the trek the following morning. In short, Royal Air Maroc was squarely a 3-star experience. The price was right in terms of American Airlines points and they often price competitively to cart people between Europe and North America through their Casablanca hub. Their planes are pleasant, the food was fine, the baggage allowance is respectable (if they adhere to it), and the flights were fairly punctual. The on-board service is sort of staid and not engaged, and using Casablanca airport is not my idea of a picnic. I'm glad I got to tick off this box and I'll leave it at that. read more

That's only the first step. Not only did they disregard our flight times and worked so slow, but they are rude and unwilling to assist. All they do is smirk and make jokes especially the men. After finally checking in our bags after standing in line for 2 hours, we missed our connecting flight. There was no communication and nobody knew basic info or how to solve a simple problem. They gave us wrong directions and sent us around their filthy airport back and forth. On top of that it took 4 hours JUST to get our luggage in baggage claim.. They also leave out your luggage in the open so anyone can easily steal it so good luck trying to locate your luggage. They try to justify it by giving you a hotel (sky hotel and relax hotel) with a food voucher but everything about it was so disgusting. The hotel was atrocious, our room reeked of cigarettes, there was broken glass on the door and their food tasted like punishment. I wouldn't even give a stray dog their food. Our cheesecake had pubic hair and our bedsheets had questionable stains. Probably piss or tears from their prisoners. Prison food looks like Michelin star compared to this hotel. I felt like I was held hostage and trapped. So many people on our flight said it was the worst experience of their life and that they would never fly this airlines again. I flew Royal Air Maroc in June 2024, and it has been one of the worst airline experiences I've ever had. During my trip, my baggage was both missing and damaged, and I filed a claim immediately in June. Today is April 28, 2025 -- nearly 11 months later -- and there is still no resolution. Since filing the claim, I have reached out to Royal Air Maroc's customer service countless times. Every time, I have been met with either silence, empty promises, or blatant runarounds. The last email I received from them was back in November 2024, where they asked me for documents I had already sent months earlier. I responded immediately, yet heard nothing since. Every time I call and request a supervisor, I am either: Told no supervisor is available. Told the supervisor only speaks French. Transferred to another regular employee pretending to be a supervisor. When I finally managed to speak to someone claiming to be a supervisor, they were incredibly rude and unprofessional -- which sadly has been the norm with their staff throughout this process. It's clear their customer service department has no genuine desire to help; they seem to deliberately stall cases until customers eventually give up. Adding to the dishonesty: Last year, after months of frustration, I left a detailed review on TripAdvisor and Facebook. Not long after posting, someone who seemed to be a Royal Air Maroc employee reached out, apologizing and expressing regret over how long it was taking to resolve my case. They asked me for my claim information and my contact details, which I immediately provided. However, they never followed up. A few weeks later, when I checked back, I noticed that my review had been removed -- and attempts to contact that employee again were completely ignored. It became clear to me that this is part of a larger tactic they use: they pretend to show concern just to get negative reviews taken down, then ghost you afterward. Bottom line: If you are considering flying with Royal Air Maroc, think twice. If anything goes wrong -- especially with baggage -- you will be on your own, dealing with one of the worst customer service teams I've ever encountered. They have poor communication skills, little to no accountability, and it feels like a deliberate strategy to wear customers down until they quit fighting for a resolution. Their Boeing planes are a bit roomier than competitors' aircraft, so you will have a tiny bit more leg room to stretch out. The positives end on that. Service is nonexistent. Most flight attendants look past you, as if you do not exist. Forget about smiling or pleasant [or even neutral] facial expressions. Water was spilled on me multiple times, with no apologies offered. Flights have been delayed by two hours and not a SINGLE announcement was made to notify frustrated passengers about the reasons for major delays. Food is inedible. Saccharine yogurt is served at every meal, because that is the cheapest item you can buy in bulk, in addition to highly processed muffins and rock hard [no exaggeration, you can kill with it] slab of stale bread are provided. . No fresh fruit or vegetables at any meal [produce is expensive]. Instead of a fruit/vegetable serving, you get a serving of macaroni with one tiny piece of olive, so that such "dish" can be called "pasta salad". Bring your own food on a plane if you do not want to starve. Restrooms are not looked after at all. Flew four flights with this airline--from NY to Morocco, from Morocco to Israel, from Israel to Morocco, and from Morocco to NY. We just returned from our trip to Morocco. I can say without hesitation that Royal Air Maroc is the worst airline I have ever travelled on, and I've been on some pretty bad ones. First, the planes are absolutely filthy. As we boarded, we saw food remnants from previous flights on the floor and on the seats. There was also some sort of putrid gummy substance stuck on the seat in front of me that got onto my clean jeans. I had to ask our first hotel to help me clean my pants (no amount of soap and water worked). They had to put my pants in a freezer to get this vile, stinking, gummy mess to come off. Then there is the repulsive food on Royal Air Maroc - which is totally inedible - the worst we have ever been served on an airline. One bite of the "beef" entree and I thought I would throw up. We refused all food on our flight back home. The Royal Air Maroc "entertainment system" is so old and unreliable that it constantly shut off on our 8-hour flight home. I had to restart the movies/shows at least 30 times (no exaggeration) on our flight. Add to the above, the endless delays, the truly stupid 1 hour wait in Royal Air Maroc's pre-board line before the official pre-board line (we had already been through 3 security checks), and the filthy, disgusting bathrooms. Horrible customer service or lack thereof really. First time flying because I was going to another African country and it seemed like a good deal until I got to the airport and it was chaos, I should've known that it'd be like that since I wasn't even able to check in online or through the app. They overcharged me twice which I had to get corrected by USAA. Rude isn't even the extent of how badly I was treated and the jerks made me go back to check my carry on because apparently even though the fare I paid in advance that includes carry on doesn't actually apply when you get there if you don't look a certain way. Nightmare flight a lady who was allowed to let her kids roam free range let 2 of them into my row which wasn't actually their seats but the flight attendant didn't care and was actually rude about it when that kid knocked an entire cup or 2 onto both me and my laptop backpack which luckily was waterproof. Zero accountability and the topping on the cake was just the absolute lack of accountability from that lady for her kids who were running from one end to the other through multiple cabins with 0 regard for other passengers on the red eye flight trying to sleep. When we landed my luggage was beyond beaten up and I had to claim that for travel insurance as well because my Monos trunk and suitcases that are less than a month old got totally trashed. My carry on I was forced to check also trashed. Definitely get travel insurance and check your statements after to get reimbursed or dispute erroneous extra charges. I also never found the lounge in Casablanca they never bothered to communicate jack. Even the announcements for boarding were half a$$. I'd give them negative stars if that were an option. read more

I can't believe I have to write a review like this. on 3/7/2025 I flew with Air Maroc from Casablanca to Madrid. They lost my checked bag. I filed a claim at the airport and one online, they never ever contacted me back - every time I wanted updates I had to call them. After endless calls and emails with no response I got a call yesterday from an Unknown number saying they had my bag and were delivering it to my airbnb in Madrid, but I had already returned home to New York. I gave them my NYC address, which shockingly they did not have even though it was attached to my lost baggage report and they told me they will deliver it in the next 3 days. I called Air Maroc today and they told me they are no longer responsible for my luggage since it is now with the delivery service. When I asked for the name and contact of the delivery service they told me they don't know - they gave my bag to a company whose name and contact they simply don't have, this is wildly irresponsible and terrible costumer service. They simply told me I have to hope they deliver my bag because they can no longer help me, they don't know who has my bag and can't provide me a way to contact the delivery service. ZERO Stars. I have never experienced such heinous behavior from an airline. They completely destroyed my checked baggage and told me there was nothing I could do but submit a claim and wait for them to eventually get back to me. I lost so many valuables and the airline has done nothing. Even worse, when I did get my bag it was wet and covered in dirt, gravel, and fecal matter. My bag was lost on a flight from JFK to Casablanca 2 weeks ago and despite filing a claim online I've gotten nothing back except an automated message saying the complaint was received. Forget trying to call, no one answers and if they do they will promptly disconnect you. I had to buy a whole new wardrobe on my vacation and spent a lot of time trying to resolve this issue while trying to enjoy my vacation. A truly horrible experience from start to finish. RAM is lower quality and service than I would expect from a discount carrier. Flights are late, with no explanation. Staff are inattentive and often ride. Phone lines are inadequately staffed. The only way to contact anyone from the airline seems to be via twitter. Our bags were lost by RAM and i am convinced we would never have seen them again had we not repeatedly carved days out of our vacation to spend hours running around the Cairo airport. I flew RAM from NYC to Milan and back with connection though Casablanca. RAM is an amazing company with friendly service and honest employees. I returned one year with the TRUMP "no fly cities" was enforced and Casablanca was one of the cities listed. The people strip searching us were US Employees, but the Americans on this flight were loud and very upset over all this. I am not sure how late we were - but I arrived late from Milan (due to heavy rainstorms). The flight attendance were apologetic about everything (even though they were also forced to endure everything along with us) and could not do enough for us to ensure a pleasant flight to JFK. I am looking forward to my next flight this December back home to Italy with RAM!!! read more

I never flew with this airline , despite the other reviews I decided to use them for my family European vacation, prices were less than the other airlines , not by a big difference so here I am booking for a family of four hoping for the best. Before we left, they called saying flights were cancelled and they will schedule us for another flight. I was already annoyed and with only a few days I decided not to cx and adjust to their changes The agents over the phone are rude and not accommodating at all Flight going was seriously delayed and of course they didn't make the announcement until travelers started flooding the gate asking questions I have never seen that may kids on a flight before, it was like daddy's daycare x6. The air hostess are very nice. I was starving and had no choice but to indulge in the airplane food which was not that good at all . The bathroom was disgusting and one sink had no running water. Not to mention the floor was soiled. I am thankful for the safe long journey but if I had a choice to book with this airline again I will definitely spend the extra $$ with another airline. I honestly felt like I relived the movie soul plane. You should experience something at least once and this was definitely An experience. If you have a less than flexible schedule, or highly value your time, seriously consider flying any other airline but this one. Whatever you save in money, you will lose in time and sanity. I flew from SFO to JFK with husband and kids to get on a flight to Casablanca at 3am on a Sunday, only to be told by Royal Air Maroc staff that "There is an X on your account, sorry come back tomorrow" because they couldn't help me. What does that even mean? Like, WTAF?!? After a half hour of arguing with multiple people who clearly just wanted us to go away, and finally speaking to a manager, the problem of "the X" was magically solved and we landed in Casablanca amidst throngs of people yelling at staff (and some bawling) that their luggage was lost or stolen. It was no surprise that it took almost the full week for our luggage to arrive in Agadir. On my way back the following weekend, I spent a full day and night stranded in Casablanca because the first flight connection from Agadir was an hour late. Then I spent 8 hours sitting patiently in Casablanca airport, speaking to at least 7 different people (a couple of them nice, most of them condescending) trying to get rescheduled onto a new flight by some "manager" who never showed their face but everyone seemed to be waiting for. I finally requested to be flown to Washington DC (ANY place in the continental U.S. I said) and paid for my own flight back to SFO because they couldn't find me a flight back to work on time. In summary this airline will cost you in time and sanity whatever you think you are saving in money. Additionally if there is any problem whatsoever, staff will treat you as if you are the problem. No apology, no effort to take responsibility, or to make things right. They have no mechanism or plan to correct things in a timely fashion and will make it obvious that they just want you to go away. Will never fly this airline again and I don't say this lightly. read more

It's not the best option out there in terms of modernization and overall comfort but at the same time it's not as bad as Alitalia is. However I might be biased since I only flew this airline from Italy to Casablanca and that was about 4 hours. I do agree w/ the other review that it is pretty bootleg on board. They still have the pulldown screens and stuff did seem outdated but then again it's the Morocan airlines and if you know anything about the counrty they are now finally starting to get with the times so hopefully they make improvements soon. My flight had no movie and a light snack (again a 4 hour flight). The seats were not the best and were not the worst (see my alitalia review for uncomfortable seats) so it was bearable to me. The staff seemed pretty friendly and attentive though. And my flight did not smell of spices and BO. While I probably wouldn't fly longhaul on this carrier the short trips (atleast mine was not that bad). read more

I am a regular on Royal Air Maroc. I have flown them from Casablanca to JFK, from JFK to Casablana, from London to Casablanca, as well as some less common routes within Africa. I have never once had a problem, and the airline has gone vastly above and beyond what could be reasonably expected to try to help me catch flights on a tight schedule, transport large amounts of luggage, and so forth. With the usual route that I take, I have a layover between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM in Casblanca. Royal Air Maroc provides a free shuttle to a hotel, a free hotel room for the day, and free vouchers for breakfast and lunch--with any economy ticket. Unheard of in my experience and thoroughly delightful. Consistently, the food is fine. It's not a world-class restaurant, but it's adequate and there is variety. The ground crew and the flight staff have gone way out of their way to be kind, whether it's helping me to find the best available seat or once even calling me on my cell phone to make sure that I would get to the gate on time. Even with close connections, they've never lost a piece of luggage (and I bring a lot of luggage with them). Their hub in Casablanca has a great Moroccan restaurant and some other interesting shops. I am surprised and disappointed to see so many bad reviews. I am curious how much experience these travelers have traveling in the developing world because, as far as I'm concerned, Royal Air Maroc is delightful. read more

Let me begin by saying that I love Morocco and Moroccans-- do not let this airline taint your view of this beautiful country or its people! That said, dealing with this airline was extremely frustrating (frustrating being an understatement). It was as though my travel date was the first day on the job for everyone working for this company (aside from cabin crew), and they had no idea what they were doing and no sense of urgency or compassion for the customer. My itinerary was DEN-JFK-Casablanca. I had a JetBlue flight (one of their partner companies) from DEN to JFK delayed over 2 hours due to weather concerns in NYC. Once I got to JFK to get on my connecting flight to Casablanca, I literally ran to the terminal, with boarding pass in hand and a few minutes to spare before my flight. For some reason, I was told to have another boarding pass printed by the RAM ticket desk (why?), and when I got to the desk they told me I was too late for the flight. There were six other people at the desk with me, all from delayed JetBlue flights from different origin cities. The RAM representative was not motivated to find a solution for us, and told us that we could try to fly standby for the next flight to Casablanca, leaving the next morning. Thankfully, we were able to get on the flight the next morning, but not without a struggle with the apathetic staff. We were all assured (by RAM and JetBlue) that our bags would arrive in Casablanca with us. They did not. Once in Casablanca, I waited at the baggage claim help desk for over an hour trying to file a claim to locate my bag. It was extremely unprofessional, slow and, again, apathetic, as though the people at the help desk had never been trained in filing a claim. I finally was able to get my luggage two days later, after many phone calls and praying. Luckily my flight back to the states was less eventful, yet still confusing. My friend and I found out because we happened to be standing at the wrong counter where the RAM professionals were gossiping. They announced it overhead, re directed us to the wrong gate, and then they returned to the one we initially announced because my friend started filming. We have been here for 2 hours. No offers at all for reimbursement, rescheduling, or vouchers. Full flight here including senior citizens, children, and some who don't look so well. This stuff happens all the time but other airlines attempt to communicate. RAM both in person and over the phone fails. I will never book them again and don't advise anyone else do. What a terrible airline with horrible staff and no concept of customer service. The transit desk at Casablanca airport reminded me of refugee camps, I saw passengers who had lost passports or missed connecting flights cry with tears at the lack of regard for their situation. I saw woman and her daughter being told to wait 16 hours in the waiting area, without food or water, until the next morning when their booking office was open to put them on the next flight. They cancelled my flight from Jeddah to Casablanca, offering me a 24-hr stay at Casablanca airport hotel. To make it worse, they made me wait 2 hrs for a "stamp" from transit manager on my hotel and meal voucher, which was apparently on a break at 5pm when at least 30 other passengers were waiting. At the Casablanca airport, the Fly Atlas Hotel is by far the worst hotel I have ever seen or heard in my life. It's got extremely dirty shared bathrooms with nominal showers, rooms that weren't made or cleaned at all. read more

Never rely on Royal Air Maroc. They cancelled the flight with two days notice, without offering even a reason or trying to rebook me on another flight. Customer care was initially trying to help, but unable to do so. They agreed to repay the ticket price (this was 9 months ago) but they still haven't paid a dime. Every time I call them they promise to repay the money, but now they just hang up when I describe my issue. Extremely unserious company. I finally managed to buy the last business class ticket with another airline going to Morocco, but I still had my Royal Air Maroc tickets when leaving Morocco. That flight was not luckily not cancelled, but seat was dirty and ground staff careless. read more

I don't review much on Yelp, and I've never reviewed an airline although I fly quite a bit. However, this airline deserves a special kind of warning to all who consider using it. Firstly, what kind of international airline closes the check-in at 8?? We were slightly delayed from our connecting flight and were turned away from check-in an 45 minutes before our flight at 9pm JFK-Casablanca, were told there was nothing they could do because "they just take off early if everyone is boarded," (what??) so we missed our flight! Of course- nobody answers the phones, no representative available to help us, no guarantee we could get a flight in the morning. My family and I are stuck in New York tonight through no fault of our own, waiting for the counter to open back up at 3am. Based on the other reviews for this airline, their reputation definitely precedes them! Update: finally got a 7am flight, which was fairly pleasant and easy. BUT THEN- caught a connecting flight with the same airline from Casablanca to Marrakech. Was assured by RAM employees in both New York and Casablanca that our bags would arrive in Marrakech on our flight, they even called and looked things up on a computer at the terminal desk. I had been worried this entire time about missing luggage due to the other reviews. And surprise! None of our bags arrived. We were told by the employee at Marrakech airport that we shouldn't have believed that guy in Casablanca "because he's a liar," they don't know where our bags are but hopefully if we come back to the airport tomorrow around noon they will have arrived. We have now wasted two days of our trip, the time we should have been enjoying this beautiful country, all completely because of this airline and their lack of organization skills and horrendous customer service. We are stuck in Morocco with none of our belongings. DO NOT FLY WITH THEM! BONUS UPDATE! We eventually located our bags and had to return to Marrakech airport to pick them all up from a different flight. Had to fly with Royal Air again, unfortunately, from Marrakech to Casablanca, and then to get out of Casablanca into Gibraltar. They boarded preposterously early, and then were holding the plane for late boarders, just a few minutes before takeoff, on both flights. I found it incredibly frustrating that the airline couldn't let us onto a flight we arrived early to, but inconvenienced passengers on our other flights because of late arrivals. Their ground and call center staff are the rudest, most aloof jokers you will ever come across, and absolutely nothing will be done to support or assist you - the paying customer. Do not do it!!!!! This was my second time flying air maroc. I know, why would I do it again? I was flying with a friend to Sierra Leone (my homeland), and she wanted to kill two birds with one stone and take advantage of the 12 hour layover in Casablanca (which we did). We had a great time in Casablanca. My nightmare started at JFK, after asking several times, at booking, after booking, and the check in desk, for a bassinet for my infant, I did not get one. When I asked the flight attendant, she initially ignored me, when I persisted she indicated "I can not answer that right now". We got to Casablanca pretty smoothly. The layover hotel was okay, though we spent most of our time outside of the hotel. We headed back to the airport to board out 12am flight to FNA (Freetown National Airport). We first started getting notifications that the flight was 30 minutes delayed, then 45 minutes, then 2 hours. Passengers started asking questions, they told us the captain nor any of the flight crew had shown up. We asked how this was possible, they told us that the crew was outsourced and it was possible that they missed their flight. All passengers demanded more information, when the managers and other staff came they indicated to us they would take us to a hotel 15 minutes away and we would be flying at 7 am the next morning. The bus took us to a hotel an hour away and literally dumped us there. When we got there (at this point at around 2:30 am), the hotel staff indicated we needed vouchers and they did not have any record for us to stay in the hotel. He indicated that they would "try to get us a room", he was processing everyone manually, people were calling RAM on personal phones, it was a mess! At this point we made a decision to go back to the airport. It was already 3 am, and we figured how much sleep would we really get if the flight was taking off at 7 am. We got back to the airport and met up with other passengers who either decided to do the same thing or never left the airport in the first place. Customs refused to let us through, indicating there is no scheduled flight for us! After about 4 hours of various passengers demanding answers from various managers and staff, they told us our flight would be at 9 am. I must mention that during this whole ordeal, I went up to several staff members to ask them for help since i had an infant with me, I was sometimes laughed at, or staff would say "I do not speak English" with a smirk on their face. I was waved off and dismissed. When we boarded the flight at 9 am, they did not have any seat assignments, people sat anywhere meaning families got separated. There was no space for carry on luggage and they started stacking luggage in the bathroom (there must be some safety regulation against this). We finally got to Freetown and thank God all my bags were there. Let's call a spade a spade, many parts of North Africa have a superior complex with being fairer skinned and believe they are not even African and prefer to associate themselves with the middle east. For years, RAM has not respected their West African customers. Condescending, rude remarks, disregard and disdain. I do not blame anyone but the countries for allowing this joke of an airline to continue to run in their skies, but I also blame us the consumers who continue to use this airline when for a couple of hundred more (sometimes the same price), you can use a European Carrier and at the very least be spoken to like a human being. Zero stars. Passenger safety is not a priority. On June 5, 2023, during the boarding process in Morocco, I was shoved and punched by another passenger on the plane. The other passenger was in an incorrect seat & the flight crew asked him to move to his correct seat. I was merely passing his row to get to my seat when he lost his mind: cursing, screaming and highly agitated. When he got up from his seat to move, I was in front of Mr. Hostility when he shoved & punched me in my back causing me to abruptly " jerk" forward while he screaming to "move the f*ck over" & "get the "f*ck out of the way". He managed to get to his correct seat which was close to mine. I asked for my seat to be moved & fortunately it was. However, I was still a few rows from him & he kept passing me to use the bathroom, get water & take a walk. I was unable to sleep or rest because of this lunatic in the airplane. As soon as I stepped off the plane, I filed a complaint at JFK airport with the New York Port Authority Police Dept. I called Royal Air Morac to report this incident & request a credit for the flight. To my surprise, I was told that if I was hit by the flight crew they would take a report but since it was a passenger there was nothing they could do. I emailed customer service on 6/6/23 & 6/9/23 and haven't received a response yet. Passenger safety is not a priority for Royal Air Morac. Avoid this airline at all costs. read more

I was warned but it was the only direct flight to Morocco so I risked it and boy do I regret it! On July 17 I was scheduled to fly out of JFK at 830PM. I tried to check in online and it didn't let so that should've been the first red flag. After an hour at the airport with no information and the line not moving I came to learn the flight was cancelled, but no announcement was made. When I get to the counter the lady goes, "You know what happened right?" HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT HAPPNED?! They check in our luggage (I was traveling with my parents) and book us on the July 18 flight at 1PM. They said the July 17 flight never left Casablanca but that was a lie because I had a friend on that flight. On July 18 @ 10AM the flight was again cancelled and pushed to 3AM. I called corporate because no one at the airport had any information and they said it was overbooked. Well I can't imagine why when you are trying to fit two flights on one plane! That flight actually did go but only the people who had booked for that day were allowed on it unless you wanted to pay $1000 to upgrade your seat. HOW RIDICULOUS! The police were actually called because he station manager was in fear of being attacked (rightly so). Then the 3AM flight was pushed to July 19 @ 11AM. My cousin's wedding is July 19 and I will likely end up missing it along with 3 days of hotel in Fez. I am terrified about the other legs of my journey which are also on Air Maroc. I understand mechanical failures happen, but how does no one have any information? When I called corporate he said, I'm not at the airport, it was likely cancelled for customer safety. But I would like someone who has actual information to tell me the real reason because it sounds like you're making up bullshit! Plus, if you're inconveniencing hundreds of people, on Eid no less, offer some compensation! Free upgrades or at least payment for the hotel loss and 3 days of time and annoyance. All we got was 2 nights at the shitty Radisson nearby. This is the worst airline ever with the rudest and most incompetent employees.
