The food here is very delicious, many options and attentive staff. The ice cream machine is a good touch. My favorite was the general tso chicken, crab rangoons and chicken teriyaki. They also have a stir fry station. Staff very attentive, I will be back.

cmon my friends, if you're coming to an Asian buffet, you should know the name of the game! I don't expect to taste the seventh wonder of the world... just to leave with my pants unbuttoned and my every craving satisfied I love Royal Buffet for its sweet servers, Diet Pepsi, soft serve machine, and many rows of steaming hot eats

Very good. Only thing I don't like was the bland lo mein, it ruined my appetite. Other than that everything was great

i think an overall 2.8 rating is a bit harsh. this place is solidly a 3.5. booths, plates, and utensils were clean and constantly being cleaned while we were there. the servers were cheerful even around 9pm on a saturday night. the hibachi was good, i enjoyed it at this casual, low-key option. we ended up here because saturday nights were full in many places and we had not eaten in like 9 hours from the busy day we had and didn't want to wait anywhere. the sushi was good, like a better version of your local grocery store sushi. the fish options around were good like the fried shrimp, steamed clams, and the crab rangoons. i also got seaweed salad and squid salad which was nice. the pineapples were sweet and ripe, and not the canned kind. i had some soft serve ice cream for dessert. a buffet is something i haven't had in years since i was a kid and they were every family's stop. so it was nice nostalgia. and i wont crave it often but if i did, i would return here.

Probably $10 to $15 in a sushi bar, and it's included!

Better than the average buffet. Lots of negative reviews, but I've been a dozen times, and it's ready not that bad. They have the cleanest sushi bar of any buffet I go to. It has an attendant and it is well done. I like the fact that it has seaweed salad too, instead of spiralized zucchini flavored like seaweed salad! The grill has steak, probably strip loin. It's small, and thin, but that's an item that you dont usually see anymore. The buffet itself has salt and pepper shrimp! They also have pot roast, Mongolian beef, chicken teriyaki, grilled chicken, boneless spare ribs... if they had crab legs, I could cry. There are some odd things like chicken fingers in mayonnaise I think I'll pass on. Stuffed clams and shrimp covered with ground pork... baby back ribs that look and taste boiled... no! Still, plenty to like. I would speak a bit to ambiance. The parking lot has security. I've seen multiple cars doing burn outside in the lot. There's no shortage if yelling and screaming and the pungent aroma of weed floats across the parking lot and restaurant. It seems a lot of people are working on their appetites before going in! Noisy and crowded on weekends, for sure, but they are a good value for the price!

They have really good food, Customer service is alright. And they also have a very nice setting in the restaurant.

I have been going to this place for years. Since the pandemic, I haven't gotten a chance to go since. Does anyone know how it is there after they reopened? Are they still having staff serve you food or is it like it was before covid?

They're the same as they were before COVID - decent food at reasonable prices, some screaming kids on weekends! But I still love it there!!

    Do they have lobster?

That would be a big no. However I've seen snow crab and rock crabs on occasion.

Does the Buffet offer a wider variety of flavored Fried Chicken? (like general tso and sesame)

Kind of but not really. They have the regular fried chicken but then only two kinds of flavored chicken with sauce. They have some variety big not a whole lot.

So, on a rainy, dreary evening, I decided to give it another try. What a difference! Walking in, first impression: very clean & surprisingly busy for such miserable weather - always a reassuring sign for a buffet. The sushi selection was solid for a buffet. While we skipped the hibachi grill this time, it looked like a fun option for the next visit. The buffet was consistently replenished, everything we tried was hot & fresh. Standouts for me? The baby Asian clams, crispy chicken nuggets (don't judge!) & perfectly snackable crab rangoon. I also loved that the desserts were cut into small portions so you could sample a bunch without overcommitting. Bonus: individual ice cream cups in a bunch of flavors. Overall, we had a great dinner, used our $3 off coupons & will definitely be back! NOM NOM NOM #YUM

But the place is ... interesting. First off, most of the buffet options are American foods... a lot of it isn't the most appetizing looking. The Chinese options are mainly fried chicken with different sauces. The sushi... well, my bottomless pit of a son who loves sushi won't even touch it. The soups are good. And if you want a quick Mongolian wok style meal (which is what I do recommend) the price point is pretty spot on. Overall though, it's a big restaurant flipping tables for multiple families at once and you've got to respect the hustle.

On Mother's Day weekend, selections were full and a great variety with plenty of swaps and refill. Very packed and a line leading outside. This is the most people I've seen ever inside. They have sauces to pick including spicy, hibachi sauce, soy sauce, garlic sauce and teriyaki. I think, especially on packed days, staff should be more on top of their dishes and watchful that parents check-in on their kids since some items were mixing. Also wanted more replacement of spoons and pinches since they had residue of food mixing old foods and new dishes of food~ Overall a standard place with good flavors. The venue itself felt polished and high-end from the moment we walked in. The meats were definitely the highlight of the evening -- top-tier cuts, well-seasoned, tender, and served fresh off the skewers with incredible flavor. Every selection we tried was juicy, flavorful, and cooked beautifully. You can tell quality is a priority here. The salad bar had a nice variety overall, but since our reservation was at 8 PM for a party of four and the restaurant closed at 9 PM, some items were no longer fully stocked by the time we arrived. Service was also a little slower toward the end of the evening, which seemed understandable given the late reservation and closing time approaching. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant, but I'd strongly suggest booking an earlier reservation to fully enjoy the entire experience, especially the salad bar and full pace of service. Even with that, the food quality, upscale atmosphere, and outstanding meat selections still made for a very enjoyable dining experience.

I didn't feel rushed out whatsoever and appreciated how the portions are reasonably sized. They don't overcrowd the table and make you more mindful of how much you'll order next. The individual pots are a huge plus for me. Everyone gets their own broth to cook whatever they want within close reach. The DIY sauce bar is only icing on the cake! If you're looking for the best season to try, though I'd argue shabu always hits year round, take this cold RI winter to give this place a go.

The setup now has the majority of meats, veggies and sides in the back area where it's self serve - grab as much or as little as you want, this is def the more preferred option for me. We opted for just KBBQ and no hotpot as the hotpot burners aren't built into the tables so there would have to be burner setup placed on the table which would just crowd the space in my opinion. They also have several appy type options to order as well to accompany the meal. The apps can be ordered by scanning the QR code on the table that will directly connect to your check. My fave app was the fried dumpling and for meat options, I absolutely love the pork cheek - I like to really cook it down as it's pretty fatty but it's deliciousness in my belly. The pork belly, calamari and bulgogi chicken were pretty good as well. We really enjoyed our visit and our waitress was great, super attention and friendly. The only downside is that with having to cook your own food, anything that is seasoned will cook and smell to high heavens on your clothes - but so worth it. Can't wait to come back.

Most of…read morethe Yelp photos hit the dim sum, but most of the customers in the large room stick to memory lane. The place is divided into two halves: tiny bar and three rows of booths on one side; large tables with chairs on the other side. Combo plates available both at lunch (M-F) and dinner (any time). -- Sticky Sweet Soy Garlic Sauce Wings: Wow-worthy, with the darkest sauce I've ever seen, looking like someone poured Hershey's syrup on them. Characteristics of teriyaki, soy, and garlic, and intense sweetness, but all balanced and very different, and there may even be Hershey's in there afterall. More importantly, quite delicious. The wings themselves were really good too, bringing firm to crispy skins and tender, juicy interiors. The sauce hardens over time, so eat these fast. But you'll want to anyway. Near-elite to elite. -- Rice Noodle with Shrimp: Lackluster compared to other versions I've tried. Noodle not as fresh and slippery. Sauce not as flavorful. Shrimp were good but spaced out. Below average. -- Sweet and Sour Chicken (on a dinner combo): Ping pong sized/shaped balls of chicken instead of the usual fingers, but these were excellent. Very high meat to batter ratio, good crispness to the exterior, and decent tenderness inside. Sauce served in the side. No pineapples or cherries, but good contrasting flavors to the sauce and no glop. Well above average, even without the fruit. -- Pork Fried Rice (on the combo): A mixed bag, this had light grains with pleasant but subtle flavor, long-in-the-tooth dry pork nuggetry, and some onions. Flavorful or not, that rice had freshness, moistness, and bounce. All things considered, a little above average, but with potential for higher. -- Egg Roll (on the combo): Felt limp to the touch but had a delicate crispness to it. Inside, a mix of celery, cabbage, and pork, with decent flavor and a moo shi feel. Not bad. A little above average. Lots of ups and downs here, but a reluctant 4 stars thanks to the brilliance of those wings. I scouted plates on other tables on my way to the restroom and saw similar highs and lows, but more highs. Even if the potential goes unfulfilled (and I have higher hopes for the old school than the dim sim), the wings alone would bring me back.
