The food here is very delicious, many options and attentive staff. The ice cream machine is a good touch. My favorite was the general tso chicken, crab rangoons and chicken teriyaki. They also have a stir fry station. Staff very attentive, I will be back.

cmon my friends, if you're coming to an Asian buffet, you should know the name of the game! I don't expect to taste the seventh wonder of the world... just to leave with my pants unbuttoned and my every craving satisfied I love Royal Buffet for its sweet servers, Diet Pepsi, soft serve machine, and many rows of steaming hot eats

Very good. Only thing I don't like was the bland lo mein, it ruined my appetite. Other than that everything was great

i think an overall 2.8 rating is a bit harsh. this place is solidly a 3.5. booths, plates, and utensils were clean and constantly being cleaned while we were there. the servers were cheerful even around 9pm on a saturday night. the hibachi was good, i enjoyed it at this casual, low-key option. we ended up here because saturday nights were full in many places and we had not eaten in like 9 hours from the busy day we had and didn't want to wait anywhere. the sushi was good, like a better version of your local grocery store sushi. the fish options around were good like the fried shrimp, steamed clams, and the crab rangoons. i also got seaweed salad and squid salad which was nice. the pineapples were sweet and ripe, and not the canned kind. i had some soft serve ice cream for dessert. a buffet is something i haven't had in years since i was a kid and they were every family's stop. so it was nice nostalgia. and i wont crave it often but if i did, i would return here.

Probably $10 to $15 in a sushi bar, and it's included!

Better than the average buffet. Lots of negative reviews, but I've been a dozen times, and it's ready not that bad. They have the cleanest sushi bar of any buffet I go to. It has an attendant and it is well done. I like the fact that it has seaweed salad too, instead of spiralized zucchini flavored like seaweed salad! The grill has steak, probably strip loin. It's small, and thin, but that's an item that you dont usually see anymore. The buffet itself has salt and pepper shrimp! They also have pot roast, Mongolian beef, chicken teriyaki, grilled chicken, boneless spare ribs... if they had crab legs, I could cry. There are some odd things like chicken fingers in mayonnaise I think I'll pass on. Stuffed clams and shrimp covered with ground pork... baby back ribs that look and taste boiled... no! Still, plenty to like. I would speak a bit to ambiance. The parking lot has security. I've seen multiple cars doing burn outside in the lot. There's no shortage if yelling and screaming and the pungent aroma of weed floats across the parking lot and restaurant. It seems a lot of people are working on their appetites before going in! Noisy and crowded on weekends, for sure, but they are a good value for the price!

They have really good food, Customer service is alright. And they also have a very nice setting in the restaurant.

Ask the Community - Royal Buffet

I have been going to this place for years. Since the pandemic, I haven't gotten a chance to go since. Does anyone know how it is there after they reopened? Are they still having staff serve you food or is it like it was before covid?

They're the same as they were before COVID - decent food at reasonable prices, some screaming kids on weekends! But I still love it there!!

Do they have lobster?

That would be a big no. However I've seen snow crab and rock crabs on occasion.

Does the Buffet offer a wider variety of flavored Fried Chicken? (like general tso and sesame)

Kind of but not really. They have the regular fried chicken but then only two kinds of flavored chicken with sauce. They have some variety big not a whole lot.

Downtown joint dabbling in both old school Chinese American classics and authentic dim sum. Most of…read morethe Yelp photos hit the dim sum, but most of the customers in the large room stick to memory lane. The place is divided into two halves: tiny bar and three rows of booths on one side; large tables with chairs on the other side. Combo plates available both at lunch (M-F) and dinner (any time). -- Sticky Sweet Soy Garlic Sauce Wings: Wow-worthy, with the darkest sauce I've ever seen, looking like someone poured Hershey's syrup on them. Characteristics of teriyaki, soy, and garlic, and intense sweetness, but all balanced and very different, and there may even be Hershey's in there afterall. More importantly, quite delicious. The wings themselves were really good too, bringing firm to crispy skins and tender, juicy interiors. The sauce hardens over time, so eat these fast. But you'll want to anyway. Near-elite to elite. -- Rice Noodle with Shrimp: Lackluster compared to other versions I've tried. Noodle not as fresh and slippery. Sauce not as flavorful. Shrimp were good but spaced out. Below average. -- Sweet and Sour Chicken (on a dinner combo): Ping pong sized/shaped balls of chicken instead of the usual fingers, but these were excellent. Very high meat to batter ratio, good crispness to the exterior, and decent tenderness inside. Sauce served in the side. No pineapples or cherries, but good contrasting flavors to the sauce and no glop. Well above average, even without the fruit. -- Pork Fried Rice (on the combo): A mixed bag, this had light grains with pleasant but subtle flavor, long-in-the-tooth dry pork nuggetry, and some onions. Flavorful or not, that rice had freshness, moistness, and bounce. All things considered, a little above average, but with potential for higher. -- Egg Roll (on the combo): Felt limp to the touch but had a delicate crispness to it. Inside, a mix of celery, cabbage, and pork, with decent flavor and a moo shi feel. Not bad. A little above average. Lots of ups and downs here, but a reluctant 4 stars thanks to the brilliance of those wings. I scouted plates on other tables on my way to the restroom and saw similar highs and lows, but more highs. Even if the potential goes unfulfilled (and I have higher hopes for the old school than the dim sim), the wings alone would bring me back.

Tonight we went to King's Garden for dinner and the experience was just average…read more First of all, the stench as we walked in was prominent. They need to replace the old worn out carpet they have...it's stinky and it's dirty. When it rains, the smell is even more pronounced. We got a scallion pancake app and the dish was tiny and the pieces were smaller than other times. Same with the steak with black pepper, it was a smaller portion than other times. But some dishes like the Kung pao chicken and the Moo Shu pork were regular size. Several areas for improvement. Hope they get to read this and provide clients a much better dining environment.

***Hei Place: NOT My Place!***…read more At my daughter's recommendation, I tried this restaurant for the first time. The last time my daughter was there, they forgot her soup; It happens. So tonight, we ordered $125 of takeout and one of the rolls should have been GLUTEN FREE & it was NOT. I called for a CREDIT and they said they can't credit my card. I asked for a Manager and the woman I was speaking with said, "I am the Assistant Manager". I then asked to speak to the General Manager but she told me, "He is BUSY in the kitchen". I said, "I drove 15 mins up and 15 back, but he was too busy for me"? Then she said, "Oh, he just left the building". At 7:55 pm, I am expected to believe the Manager left a busy restaurant - I don't believe that!! At this point, I didn't want the CREDIT, I just won't return. Too bad too, because the other rolls were good - I do have other options and I will exercise those options! ***HEI PLACE ORDER*** Hei Place Roll *Gluten Free French Crunchy Roll Angel Dream Roll Yami Roll Ocean Roll Tuna Maki Roll Pineapple Fried Rice Fried Ravioli ===$125.28.
