2.27.22 I was in need of quarters to use the vacuum across the street at the car wash. The staff member exchanged a $10 bill for a roll of quarters. I got these things from royal farms in Towson, but the food went downhill quick ....then after a few years i found this store the hot food at this store is 100% everytime thanks to manager Shabram M and their cook James ! Well the route 1 effect has taken over this location. At night you will usually just have one person working. So if you are trying to place a order be breast to wait. The parking lot is always covered in trash all the time. Trash cans are usually over flowing. If you have to stop in it manageable just don't have high standards. read more

Sssssshhh!!! Wanna hear something that might surprise you? Some of the best fried chicken 'n fries in the area. Yup... from a gas station. Chicken so good that you could put on a serving platter and "repackage" as your own homemade - unless someone, like me, was at the party to BUST you out for perpetrating a fraud, lol. This chicken is better than Popeyes, Roy Rogers, KFC, Bojangles.. pick one. Any one. The whole shebang. The chicken strips are good too. The name is kinda a misnomer since they're like HALF breasts and really kinda big. And juicy. Even at $1.50 per chicken strip, those things are meaty 'n juicy enough to make a sandwich!! Their potato wedges are comparable to the ones sold at the Amish (Dutch) market. I like these ones better actually, especially fresh out of the fryer. Not only is the chicken tastier than all the typical chicken joints everyone knows, but it's also considerably less expensive. Tried my first piece of bird a few years back on a road trip to Salisbury, so this review is LONG overdue. Went inside a location to buy gas and this Beagle nose of mine took over and lead me to fried chicken paradise. Bought two legs and a few fries, paid for the gas... and by the time I went outside and sat in the car to let the gas pump..... ALL THE FOOD WAS GONE!! Elapsed time was about three minutes. (Hey, don't judge, I was STARVING! ) Been indulging locally every since. I go to this location and Camp Springs. Royal Farms also sells quite a nice assortment of sandwiches, salads, etc., and of course, this phenomenal yard bird. Kinda like WaWa with regard to lotsa food sales, only much better. I just spent a half hour waiting on chicken because some fool wasn't doing his job. There was no announcement beforehand, which led to a lot of people creating and paying for orders that couldn't be fulfilled. He spent 7 minutes announcing to us that there were no wings, but didn't offer me a substitution or even tell me how long it would be. Eventually some other lady told me it would be 15 minutes, but she didn't offer a substitution either--she did to the guy next to me though. It's dirty. They're slow. And they often don't have things ready on hand. And the rest of my order looks like it's been sitting a while. I'm never going back. Head to Odenton or somewhere else. read more

We LOVE the chicken at this Royal Farms. The hubby has even purchased it for BREAKFAST. The dude that works on Monday is late and give crappy customer service. The gals are spot on. When they cook it, the chicken is hot, tender and oh my, love the crisp coating. Arrive in the morning and get a biscuit chicken sandwich, fried hashbrown and a beverage for just over $6. There are other breakfast options to choose from as well. Oh man! I finally tried the fried chicken here!!! Actually the chicken strips but yeah they were pretty amazing. I think that this is good for my taste buds but bad for my love handles lol. So yeah they potato wedges were pretty bomb as well. I recommend you come here anytime to get this freid goodness. I have mixed feelings about the star rating. My man loves there potatoes fries with a heavy dose of old bay. I have never really eaten there considering I dnt care for fried food very much. I love the gas prices over where I live there are three places that have a decent price but two of them are opposite end and takes 12 min to get there while royal farms is right there and it takes less than five. One gas station takes only cash and the other varies from having a good price to high and you never know. And driving 12 just to find the five min one was cheaper isn't in my handbook. So kudos to good gas prices Minus-there food, my man and I went in. This time I decided to get something. He ordered chicken tenders and potatoes wedges, I ordered tenders. Some fresh ones were about to come out and the man handling it which to my knowledge was the manager was short one for my order. I said ok I want the fresh ones. His words "these are fresh we don't keep them in the glass long"....BULL....my man says just give her one of mine and I'll take a wing...so we get home and do you wana know what my tenders tastes like. DRY, AND BARELY LUKE WARM. Not only do I not like my food like that, this man lies to me. He knew what they were like and he didnt even wana give me the fresh ones. My man still will eat there. I will go there for gas and convenient store items but as far as there food, I won't. And the funny part is I'm not willing to try it again not because it was warm and dry I can deal, things happen, I won't try again because I feel like he lied just to sell his product and save on waste. The one thing I as a consumer of food will not tolerate is bad service and solely on principles LIES. This is the typical Royal Farms. Gas is a bit cheaper than other places. The shelves are properly stocked. The staff is competent. Try to avoid going early in the morning or just after work. At the former time, trucks and vans block most of the driveways, and during the latter the pumps are crazy. read more

As a previous reviewer stated, they do have the best fried chicken. I always go to the one in Jessup and they stay busy. Most people go in for their chicken and potato wedges which they are always cooking so you are not getting stale food that has been sitting around for hours. Three wings, wedges and a roll for under $6.00 is very reasonable, and believe me it fills you up. Customer service is so so, that is why I took off one star. read more

Most horrible location ever regularly I love royal farms but this place has the worst customer service ever!!!! There is a man by the name Patel women beware ok he is rude I went in there to ask for my money back cause they charged me twice instead of explaining what to do to ensure that I'm not charged twice he gives me HIS store # and claims its corporate so when I tried to correct him he got belligerent with me so I asked for a manager, this man is going to say "I have no manager, I can't help you you go get your money" my blood was boiling mind you they had this man Patel training someone new!!!! This is the type of service you want for your business???? So a kind man behind me starts to talk to him tells him to give me the manager's number and all the info needed so I can resolve my issue,now all of a sudden he is nice! Not to me but to the man! I like that the prices of gas and cigarettes is way cheaper than other stores , plus with a McDonald's and taco bell near by in the same shopping center , it makes very convenient to stop by and get some fast food , customer service is very friendly and always has a smile , I make sure I always get gas there even though they are sometimes not cheaper in the gas price during the day I still stop by there because I am a loyal consumer of royal farms . read more

I have been in this store many times. Always a line & only one cashier working. Many do not understand or speak English. When they do it's usually something quite rude. They will have other people standing around that can help run the other register but only do after they are told. Usually when the line reaches over 20 to 25 people. Then when they finally do it's like they are doing you a big favor. Other issues I have is they are constantly running out of many items again and again. I have finally said ENOUGH!!! I do not care if you are closer than anyone else I will travel before I give this store another dime. They sure did get enough of them considering the prices in this store are beyond ridiculous!!! Also you really need to pay attention to the dates on many of the food items. I have bought many things that were on the way to being spoiled or stale. Try to return food without having a big issue. That is if you can get someone that can actually do a return. All of these issues will continue until people start going somewhere else. They do a pretty good business and as long as they do they think it's acceptable to treat the customers like we should be grateful they are taking our hard earned money and allowing us to stand in long lines so just deal with it cause we don't care!!!
