The person providing the massage was nice at first, and the massage itself was very relaxing (covered all the points as expected). When came time to flip over, I was asked if my "member" wanted to be touched, to which I said no. Got a disappointed response and continued. -- Not what I was there for. At the end, after I got dressed, the masseuse was waiting right outside my door. Odd that the person couldn't wait in the lobby like other places. No complimentary water or "how was your experience" questionaire given. They looked at me and said "tip?" with their hand out. Gave them $20 (typical amount for a good massage) and was rudely asked "No $20! $30 minimum!" to which I noted it was a fair tip and all I had. The masseuse then said "I massage your whole body! This is nothing!" and softly punched me in the stomach, walked away, and slammed the door in my face. Lobby desk lady saw everything, and simply said "thank you for coming" as I walked out. They clearly are here to provide "extras", and think their attitude is acceptable when their paterons tell them no. -- Other reviews on here and some search sites show similar reviews. Terrible experience here... had some back problems I thought would be sorted out by a good massage, and was greeted by some very odd woman dancing outside the shop. The prices are NOT cheap... $50 for a half-hour, $70 for an hour... and they want cash, which probably means they aren't reporting their earnings. They also add a surcharge on to Credit cards or Debit cards, which from my understanding is illegal and in violation of their agreements with credit card companies, but I decided to let it pass. Already kinda shady, but went ahead anyway because I was in pain. The masseuse was gruff but did speak English and had particularly sharp elbows. She did manage to get some of the spasming muscles to calm down, but I didn't get a full 30 minutes, which is always a sign of a business that is poorly run. The icing on the cake is when I went to tip her, she looked at the $10 bill like it was infected with Covid, dropped it on the bed and said "$20 -$30 is normal tip. I gave you good massage!" I have been to this spa several times and never had issues but today was a very bad experience. At the front desk it was not the usual owner who I used to meet, but someone else who had a PISSED OFF expression at the first look itself. I requested one hour foot massage and she sternly and rudely said NOO, i could see empty beds and I thought she didn't understand what I meant so I mentioned again, after that for 5 minutes was the most awkwardest reception I have ever experienced. She came very near me and kept staring at my eyes angrily. Came here last friday and got their 90 minute massage. It included a 30 minute body massage and an hour of foot massage. When I arrived, two of the workers were outside waiting. One of them ended up being my masseuse. I regret not asking what her name is, but she had short curly hair and was really nice. I was the only one there around 5:30 pm, so most of the workers were just sitting around and talking. The reason why I gave them 4 stars is because the workers either don't care/aren't aware that their talking and laughing disturbs the customers getting massaged. I went here for a massage after being in pain all weekend. I thought these foot spa places seemed a bit sketchy but I figured it was worth a try as options were limited on a Sunday night. I called to get information about the services and the woman on the phone was friendly, informative and inviting. I was incredibly pleasantly surprised by my experience! I had a 90 minute combo massage, which was $56. It included a 45 minute foot massage with a 45 minute body massage. The foot massage portion is offered in their main room, which is open to other guests but they create a private space by using curtains to separate the customers. That type of space is a lot more causal than other places I've been for massages but that was a worthwhile trade off for the price and the quality of the massage. During the foot massage portion, my feet were soaked in warm water, which smelled like it had some essential oils in it but I'm not sure. While my feet soaked, the massage therapist, Sophia, massaged my upper body. She then massages my feet and legs. For the body massage, I was moved to a private room. Sophia was amazing and I highly recommend her. She adjusted the pressure to my satisfaction and put in some hard work! I had some hesitations about this place but decided to make the jump after Yelp reviews (of course!). Entry: When I entered, I was greeted by an older woman who seemed puzzled that I was there (I was the only person at around 5:30 PM on a weekday). I told her I wanted a half hour foot massage for $15. She seemed to press me for an hour but I insisted that 30 minutes was fine. She led me into the main room which was dark and lined with a few padded chairs separated by curtains. The first thing that I noticed was the decor. Mind you, I grew up in an Asian household so I am familiar with all the Asian gaud so I definitely felt at home. There were even plastic carnations placed on each towel on the chairs (so romantic!). There is a wall clock above each chair, probably a dozen in all, which created a strangely calming tick-tick-tick-ticking sound all together. The woman placed all of my belongings in a plastic bin and had me place my feet in a tub of hot water for a soak. I laid back and waited for my masseuse, noticing an older Asian man walking around, looking bored. When the masseuse came after about 5 minutes, she spoke to me in Chinese - not just "hello" but full on questions. It was clear she didn't speak a lick of English but we made it work and she was very friendly. She almost started rubbing my head when the first woman reminded her I only wanted a foot massage. The massage: the woman put on plastic gloves and started smearing cream on my feet and lightly rubbing the cream. I was trying to figure out if this was the massage when I heard a man walk through the front door and my masseuse greeted him (while she's rubbing my feet). The man also not knowing Chinese seems confused and asks for a foot massage. After a few moments of confusion, the first woman appears and says they can do a foot massage and points to the older Asian man, "He can do your feet!" I hear hesitation from the customer, and he asks if there are any women available to do the massage. Long story short, they get my masseuse to trade and take on the new customer and the older man sat down to finish my massage. Unlike the woman, he used what seemed like skilled reflexology technique with strong and precise movements. I entered a sleepy state of ecstasy. He hit all the right points and ended the foot massage with a quick leg massage. I felt bad because I was wearing skinny jeans and he had issues pulling up my leg pants high enough to work. To the guy who didn't want another man rubbing his feet - you missed out on the best foot massage ever. Point - foot massage people, ask for the older man, unfortunately, I didn't get his name. I called ahead around 2pm to schedule a 6pm appointment and they agreed, but when I got there at 5:55 pm ( I like to check in at least 5 min before) they were confused and asked if I had called before (clearly did not even take my name down when I gave it to them over the phone). I had to come back in 10 min, which I was initially fine with. I came back at 6:05 and they made me wait even longer. It wasn't until 6:18 that someone finally came to me and started my massage. They also had their phones on loud and I could hear the loud ringing; at one point they stopped my massage to answer their call. They also force you to tip, I initially tipped 15% because of the unprofessional behavior but the lady rudely told me it has to be 30%. Things to keep in mind when you are booking an amazing massage that costs $30: (1) The location is not ideal. It's a bit tricky to find. (2) English is a second language. The staff does an awesome job navigating this with their signage. You can even pick if you want a male or female therapist. (3) There is limited privacy. Worst place ever. This is one of those dark creepy massage places where there is one giant communal room and a few private rooms with doors that close. But most of the "rooms" are manufactured by hanging curtains that don't reach the ground. I came in for a body massage and left with more nerves than when I walked in. The massage was very mediocre- even being in a room with a door, you can still hear all the noises made out by the front desk (like them talking on the phone or men coming and leaving for a service that wasn't on the menu). But even worse was the etiquette: you pre-pay for your service before you start, which is fine. As I was leaving I went to hand my masseur her tip (which was 20%) and she grabs it from my hand and then looks me in the eye as I'm about to keep walking and says "tip is 30%". I was so taken aback and shocked in the moment, instead of telling her "no, it's not up to you actually" I handed her an extra bill (which made it 40%) and she never went to give me the change. I tipped the lady 20% which i thought is a reasonable tip. However the lady thought otherwise getting mad and complaining about the tip, speaking in her native language, showing the tip to my friend that can speak the same language. Then i got mad as well asking to translate what's the problem with the tip. Then the owner or the lady in charge said that the minimum tip is $15, which is 37.5%. Their parking lot is crowded, not so much because of them, but rather the cafe next door. They speak very limited English, but the little they know is good enough to get the job done. I had the $20 foot massage here. I've been to 2 dozen foot massage places in the past 2 years, and this is one of the worst-looking massage buildings, 2nd only to the Los Gatos Foot Spa. The massage itself was incredibly lackluster. It was about 75% foot massage. They also only apply body oil only for the full-body massages. The order of massage was a very brief head + arm + chest massage, followed by an incredibly long foot massage, followed by a brief back/neck massage. The head/arm/chest massage lasted probably 5 minutes. It was over before I knew it. The foot massage was very repetitive. My masseuse massaged about 2-3 minutes, and then repeated the same motions about 15 times. I asked for a medium-hard massage, but she gave me a light and lazy massage. I should be thankful it was light because after the 10th repetition, each body part was feeling a little bruised because of the repetition. She also often stopped during the massage and did absolutely nothing (not even applying pressure). The back massage was similar to the foot massage in that the masseuse just repeated the same same motions over and over again. She rolled my trapezius muscles 5 times in the same manner with hard pressure despite that I asked her to massage the neck region lightly. The last part that I disliked was that the room was almost bright enough for a picnic. read more

I just popped in here last minute because I had a massage scheduled at the Apple Wellness Center but they had a power outage and I really needed to get my back worked on. I called ahead to see if they could take a walk in, and they could. I drove over, was greeted by a nice gentleman, and led to the back. I had an hour long massage in a private room with Suzanne. While the massage was excellent for $40, I tipped her 20%, $8, and she made a face and made me change it to $10, saying that was the minimum tip she accepted. I don't know how I feel about that. I always tip 20% on services based on the original cost, and to be told it isn't enough, or to be kind of embarrassed as if to imply I'm being cheap... Me and my husband went here in our desperate attempt to use the time we have between our kid goes to bed and we are ready to collapse - witch leaves us a whole hour between 9 and 10 pm, while our free nanny/grandma was still in town. The boyfriend and I wanted to try a new massage place and based on the Yelp reviews here, we decided to try it out. There was only one other person getting her massage when we walked in and waited about 10-15 minutes, despite making an appointment beforehand. The door makes a noise every time you walk in and out. There really isn't that much of a partition between the "reception" area and the massage seats. Thus, if you are sitting in the front row, you will hear 1) every time the door opens and closes, 2) the phone ringing + the person answering the phone talking in a normal/loud voice, and 3) the sunlight whenever the door opens and closes. You know it's bad when the best part of your massage is when you soak your feet in nice hot water. There were times where the woman who was working on me would answer her personal cell phone and talk normally without going to the "reception" area. She would also clean and touch things while my feet soak in hot water, so I hope she washed her hands. I was almost done with my massage when someone FINALLY worked on the boyfriend. Note on her attire: high heels, make up, and a tight outfit... WHILE she's talking to someone else. Talk about professionalism. I whipped out my law book while waiting for my boyfriend's massage to finish, which is about THIRTY minutes after mine ended. In the meantime, the receptionist/my massage lady/apparently the cleaning lady kept offering me candy. One no is enough, right? I've been to other massage places in the San Jose area (offering the same price - $20 for an hour) and this has to be THE WORST.
