The bartender was really friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks, which made the experience even better. We decided to try the shrimp basket, and everything came out hot and fresh. I normally don't leave reviews, but after the experience my family and I had on Mother's Day, everyone needs to hear about this lol. We arrived for our 2:30 reservation and let the hostess know we were there. Instead of being seated, we were awkwardly directed to the bar while there were multiple empty tables available. By almost 3:00, we were still wondering why we hadn't been seated while other groups who came in after us were getting tables first. The bartender was actually the one who noticed we had been ignored and asked if anyone had taken our order yet. We told her we hadn't even been seated. Thankfully, she stepped in and helped. Once we finally got to our table, it took another 20-25 minutes before our waitress came over. I understand she appeared to be the only server working, so I don't blame her personally, but the restaurant seriously needs to make sure they're properly staffed, especially on a busy holiday like Mother's Day. The drinks and food took forever to come out. If you're offering unlimited brunch drinks, customers should actually be able to get refills in a reasonable amount of time. There was honestly no point in paying for bottomless drinks when we barely saw refills. At that point, just leave a pitcher at the table. The food portions were also disappointing. The appetizers barely had any food on the plates, and the Rasta pasta came with maybe two tiny pieces of chicken thrown on top. I've had Rasta pasta many times before, and this definitely was not it. What really made the experience worse was the customer service from another staff member , the woman with the very obvious botched BBL. She came over asking if she could clear things from the table and whether we needed anything. I politely asked for another mimosa refill for my mom because she had literally been sipping the same drink since we arrived around 3 ish it was 5:30 when we were asked this. She then came back asking if we wanted the bill. I reminded her that I had just asked for a refill, and her response was, "I can't do that, we have to take this somewhere else. I have to seat other people and your time is up" Excuse me? Then our actual waitress came over and clarified that our time wasn't even up yet and that we still had 25 minutes left. Clearly nobody there was communicating with each other because moments later the same woman came back AGAIN telling us we needed to get up because she had to seat other people. The way she spoke to us was incredibly rude and unprofessional. No customer should be approached like that, especially after already waiting forever for service the entire visit. Overall, horrible organization, poor communication, slow service, disappointing food portions, and disrespectful customer service. Definitely not the Mother's Day experience we expected read more

We opted to try something new for a date night unfortunately I was disappointed. The 2 star rating is valid. The calamari we had was too salty. The restroom was very off putting. Security was cool and the waitress was cool but the negatives had us cut our dinner date night short. read more

I went to Royal Fusion last eveing with some friends and had a great time. The restaurant is really cool, the food is delicious and the drinks were great. And it was NOT expensive at all. So I'm going to say it! We have to stop listening to the IG and tiktok girlies because everytime I see them post a new place especially a black owned establishment me and my friends want to go and support and it NEVERRR works out in our favor! (I'm thinking they get special treatment).... Now I will say this, the waiter was a young guy who probably just started there because when we asked something he had to go and ask or clarify with someone else but he was superrrr nice and gave great customer service meaning he did check in with us. Now we had a 6pm reservation for a party of 4. It was not busy in there. There were two bigger groups (maybe 6 and maybe 10) who were in there and eating or waiting for their food as we arrived and a group of four came after us. We shut the restaurant down .. that's how long it took for us to get our food! Almost two hours waiting for food and we all had the same thing! Thankfully we had snacks that we opened and we ate that! (We left there at 9:15pm) We all ordered the same thing, everyone in the group had the jollof pineapple rice, two had it with salmon and two had it with red snapper. (Thank goodness they had TV in there to keep me occupied) so we of course had seen the IG page that the food is supposed to come in the pineapple bowl so when they bring it to us on a plate no pineapple we were confused then one friend got pineapple rice with no pineapple in it but they did offer to bring her a side of pineapple so she could mix it in her rice (whattt). However someone came out and took the plate back and remade it so while we waited to entertain ourselves we took pictures. While we waited and took pictures an employee came in with a pineapple like why not just say you were out of pineapples and we would understand. They gave us a free sample drink she called it which was okay. Speaking of drinks don't expect to go there for liquor because they don't have it! They have wine and Prosecco and they make sangria and have virgin coladas but they were out of that and out of empanadas. Oh they did have a DJ and he payed good music so that was a plus. The chicken wings were good but some had feathers on them. The Calamri we had was very fishy smelling, the jollof rice was their version of it and it was okay but nothing to write home and come back for. Overall, we weren't thrilled or satisfied and we understand it's a rather new establishment but better communication and even someone like the manager coming to check in on us would have been nice and that never happened. let me start by saying that I was greeted properl. however the drink I order first of all I never had a mojito made out of malibu liquor. second my partner order a Rasta pasta and was given church with jollof rice and lettuce. I asked for calamari with fries it was mad hard and didnt neither item has taste. Next I asked for garlic Parmesan wings and the guy brought me lemon pepper hard and no taste, has if it was over fried. I personally wouldn't go there again. My experience at Royal Fusion was an absolute nightmare. Our reservation was for 6:pm and we didn't get service until my daughter got up to ask about who serving us. The food, let's talk about it. I went with a group of people around 6pm and I, myself ordered the oxtail, while my boyfriend ordered the jerk chicken w mac and cheese, the birthday girl and her 2 daughters all got rasta pasta, 1 with oxtail and the other 2 with shrimp. 7 of us put in our orders at the same time, and we all received it maybe 20-30 minutes after each other. For my meal, the oxtail itself was way too tough (everyone at the table that tried a piece said the same as well), essentially it felt like each bite was old and that there was bones covering the whole thing. For my boyfriend his JERK chicken was rotisserie chicken with pepper thrown on it and mac and cheese. Again unfortunately he is now suffering the repercussions a day later and has been throwing up all morning. First time dining here. the food was just bad! we ordered Jollof rice with shrimp ( the shrimp were the smallest shrimp I ever seen), we also ordered the Egusi Soup was so bad we sent it back! Pineapple rice was good, but the quarter chicken on the side that came with the rice was so dry and seemed as though it was only seasoned with salt and put into the oven to cook, and it was old, like it was pre-cooked earlier in the day or the day before and they just re-heated it to serve it. DRY DRY DRY!! The Jerk chicken wings for appetizers were also dry and barley tasted like jerk (I'm from Jamaica so I would know) You can tell nothing was freshly prepared, all the food was just re-heated. The music was too loud we had to shout to each other to hear. The ENTIRE EXPERIENCE WAS JUST BAD!!! DISAPPOINTED Because this was my first experience trying African food, and I know this can not be a good representation of the cultural foods!
