[[HIGHLIGHT]]Honestly get the fog and sprinkler package. It is a game changer. I didn't know that the sprinklers would look that cool but it definitely elevated the whole experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was concerned about the parking because I felt like that lot is really busy, but it seemed that everyone was able to find parking. You have to leave at 11pm because that's when the venue closes. Make sure to get everything that was promised to you in writing because there always seems to be extra fees. Overall, though I thought the price was reasonable, especially compared to the American venues. I was concerned about the food because this place only has 3 1/2 stars and they didn't let me try a food tasting until two months before the wedding but when I tried it, I was very impressed. The food was amazing for banquet hall and a lot of my friends and coworkers called me to tell me how great it was. We ordered a 10 course meal and there is definitely a lot to take home and people were fighting to take it home. I recently attended a wedding here with about 25-30 tables, and while the exterior doesn't look like much, the venue itself is huge. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Before the reception, there was a spacious outdoor area set up for photos, appetizers, and a bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The couple also had a sushi roll bar, a self-serve boba station, and assorted appetizers to kick things off. After dinner, the space transformed again with Italian ice cream, a self-serve ramen bar, and a Vietnamese dessert buffet--on top of the traditional Chinese-Vietnamese banquet entrees. Standout dishes for me were the honey walnut shrimp, filet mignon beef cubes, and lobster with noodles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fireworks and smoke effects were allowed at this wedding, which added to the atmosphere, but may raise questions about safety standards depending on your preference.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The biggest downside was the weak AC--everyone was fanning themselves throughout the night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also, many parking spots were marked for just 1-hour use, so keep that in mind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Recently attending a wedding here, and although at first glance I thought maybe it may be too crowded or a bit challenging to accommodate a large wedding party, it actually went super smooth and showcased the ability of this venue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the outside, this place certainly stood out in the plaza because it is freestanding on it's own in the corner of a plaza.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's plenty of parking, although you may need to figure out which spots are not "1 hour only" and it could certainly get crowded really quick during the right times of the day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was super impressed by the food and the servers, because the venue felt as though it was at capacity (if not, too crowded) and guests could barely squeeze between tables and chairs based on the layout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, the servers managed to navigate swiftly and never missed a beat when it came to serving out the menu items (for around 30 tables!). The stand out food items I received include the honey walnut shrimp, the fried duck with fried bao, combo fried rice (with plenty of meat), and the shaken beef. I also give extra points to the server for asking if we wanted take out boxes, which he promptly delivered prior to the ending of the reception. Overall, the venue is able to handle quite the crowd and I would certainly consider this location if I have another formal event, based on the quality of food and the speed of service. read more

From the outside, Royal looks okay, but the inside of the restaurant and the patio area when you walk in are really nice! There are great areas for photo opportunities in the patio area. As for the food, it was pretty good, except for the soup. The soup literally tasted like canned chicken noodle soup, and it was just kind of odd to me. My favorite dishes of the night was the beef salad and the lobster noodles. The beef salad has incredibly tender beef and was seasoned perfectly. The lobster was cooked very well, and each lobster piece had good amounts of meat on it. It didn't taste overly oily, which I really appreciated. There was also sticky rice and chicken, but the sticky rice was way too oily and crunchy, kind of as if it were overcooked. The chicken pieces were okay though. The servers looked like they hated their lives and wanted to be anywhere else than there. I don't think a single one of them smiled or looked at all happy. The management said that the air conditioning was at maximum already[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The reason that it was hot was because of a relatively small door being open.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would never come back here. In addition, the parking was horrendous. I just had my wedding at Royal restaurant for 250 guests. Anh Phuong the coordinator was awesome as well as the owner. They were very honest and reasonable with food, bar and overall service. The flexibility really made the event go smoothly. The restaurant just went through a little update in the patio area. They covered all the walls with greenery and filled the entire ceiling with hanging white silk flowers. It was finished in the perfect time for our wedding. We had our wedding here back in August 2023. Anh Phuong took really good care of us. He listened to our visions and helped us execute our beautiful wedding. He also made sure that my husband and I had enough alcohol at our table. I was worried that we didn't do a taste test before our big day. All my guests came home full and satisfied. Everyone loved the lobster and honey walnut shrimp. Our package included four hours of open bar. All our guests were able to maximize bar from cocktail hour through dinner reception. The bartenders were able to manage with the line. The Venue was beautiful to begin with, we did not need to decorate much. All our chosen vendors (florist, bakery, dj, photobooth) have worked with Royal Restaurant and Banquet before, that made it easier for coordinating their services. We had enough space to fit all our guests. We had about 200 guests in attendance. Parking was not difficult either. There was ample space for parking. The best part was that we were able to stay within our budget. We highly recommend this venue for its space, ambience and food. You will not regret having your wedding here. Been here twice for weddings and I love the food they serve! The honey walnut shrimp and lobster is fire. They weren't serving those on the regular menu tho :( only for banquets/weddings I think. We came here for the first time yday as regular customers and food did not disappoint. We tried: -ca nuong (baked catfish spring rolls) -hu tieu saté (rice noodles in a spicy peanut-ty sauce + saté and beef) - fried calamari - bò né (steak on a skillet with fried egg, pate and bread) WOW. Honestly didn't expect it to be so good but the calamari and hu tieu were my FAAAVE. My bf said the bò né was better than mon ami. Thought he was exaggerating but quality of meat is better, more flavorful and bigger portion. Calamari was fire and this was the best hu tieu sate I've tried, even compared to trieu chau. They give free Che (viet dessert) after! Yay for free dessert and it was yummy. The restaurant itself is huge, very beautiful and elegant and CLEAN! Ambience is very nice, especially for a date. Very french/viet vibes. Outdoor dining area was so cute. Loved that they re used empty alcohol bottles and put lights in them. Service was excellent! Our server was very sweet and attentive. I had an event here and couldn't been happier with using them. It's a little pricier in comparison to other Vietnamese/Chinese banquets in the area but worth the money. Listed below are the pros and cons of using this venue: Pros: - The venue is beautiful (in comparison to other Asian restaurants in the area) - A classic/timeless/elegant look - Ceilings are high - The layout is easy to work with (balanced) - Man in charge works with professionalism and great with communication - Accommodating - Light system was provided - Food is delicious - MC is provided with no additional cost (although I canceled on using her- Diva alert!) - 2 man Band provided with no additional cost (piano player and DJ) - Price quoted reflects the final payment- no additional fees/charges - Plenty of parking - They keep your center piece on the guest tables and do not allow anyone to move it down Cons: - Cake is not provided - Promised that we can set wine outside with hors d'oeuvres for guest arriving but ended up saying we couldn't - All payments are upfront 2 weeks before the day of One of my biggest concern prior to booking to any venue was how well they were with communication and their professionalism. Anh Phuong, the person in charge at Royal, was both those things. He was good with returning phone calls and texting. He was very accomendating and a hell of a good singer (sang for us). We were very happy we went with them. There were many reasons why. Unlike other restaurants, the layout was extremely easy to work with. You have the dance floor and stage in the middle with the two sides being very balanced. All the guest attending the banquet can easily see the center stage and dance floor. None of our guest complained about seating and everyone felt important. The only thing I did not like was that the guest sign in the table and hors d'oeuvres were outside. It wasn't bad, there just wasn't a place you can put it elsewhere. For food, they had four options of menus that range from $500-$700 per table. We choose priciest one because it had the most seafood and no complaints. They also accommodate according to what you like. We were particular about not having fish and they gladly changed it to filet Mignon. They provided champagne for the toast and no corkage fee for any wine. They also allow outside alcohol. Their open bar is $2000 for four hours I believe. I got a lot of compliments about their hors d'oeuvres. As for entertainment, if you cancel on the band because you have someone you would like to use instead, they credit you back $600 for whatever you like. We choose to use their band and cancel their MC (we didn't get credit but we rather not use her). We hired our own MC and everything went smoothly. For the band, Royal has their piano player play the first hour when guest are arriving. Then they have music throughout the wedding and a DJ for dance after. The band is also willing to work with you to play any special music you request. We thought they did an awesome job and everyone had fun. I was very happy I choose Royal and recommend anyone who is looking to book a venue for their big day or for a special event. read more

The interior of this place reminded me of the opulence of colonialist establishments, but without the gaudiness. This large restaurant could easily accommodate banquets, weddings etc. A small outside patio is also available although I didn't see anyone sit there today. We were shown to a table and given menus, however, before I even had a chance to peruse it, someone came over to take our order. Hmmm, this is reminiscent of every single establishment in the area. I told her we weren't ready and continued reading the menu. Not a few minutes had passed by before another person stopped by to take our order. We were still not ready. The menu is interesting. There are your regular items as well as a variety of steaks for $15.95. This includes garlic steak, steak au poivre, etc etc. I'm guessing that since they're trying to sell themselves as French-influenced Vietnamese cuisine, they've added things like the steaks to give them credibility. Looking around, everyone around us was eating the regular Vietnamese fare, so we decided to stick with that as well. Goi Cuon Chao Tom ($3.95) are fresh rolls with shrimp paste. Similar to the regular fresh rolls except a cooked shrimp paste strip is used instead of the shrimp and pork and they've included the fresh herbs into the rolls instead of you wrapping with them. I have to say that it was pretty good except the portion was really small. Com Tay Cam ($5.95) was a chicken claypot rice. The one here is slightly bigger than the one at Brodard -- not by much, but still, bigger -- although the ingredients only included some chicken, bamboo shoots, shiitake mushrooms and quail eggs. I thought this dish was very flavorful, but the rice to ingredient proportion was a bit uneven. Bo Luc Lac (($8.95) -- shaking beef -- was teenie in size and didn't come with rice. When we actually ate it, we were glad it was so small because it wasn't good at all. Because it was cooked medium rare, you can truly taste the quality of the beef -- or, there lack of -- which made it almost unpalatable. Gross. The bo luc lac we had at Quan Minh Ky in the same strip mall was so much tastier. I'd say stay away from this. Lil guy who is the bo luc lac connoisseur even refused to eat it after spitting out a few pieces he found to be 'yucky'. Our last dish was their house special noodles, Mi Royal ($6.95). The broth was good, flavorful and light, while the texture of the egg noodles were fantastically rubbery. Most places serve their egg noodles too mushy which is gross. I didn't like the stuff that came in the noodles such as 2 pieces of a chopped chicken drumstick, 2 slices of beef, a shrimp and some veggies. They also didn't give you the plate of herbs to go with the noodles, but only beansprouts and a wedge of lime. The timing of how the dishes came out was also messed up. It was lucky we were sharing because if we were each eating one dish, one person would've finished before the 2nd person received the meal etc. None of the dishes came together. I would say that this is the fault of the kitchen and not the staff on the floor. I felt the service from the floor was pretty attentive and none of the throwing food down on the table and doing things carelessly. With 2 Soda Chanhs ($2.50/each), our meal came to a little under $40 tip included. I didn't think it was pricey if the portions were bigger, but the portions are definitely "French-influenced". Even though I wasn't blown away, I thought it was good enough to come back again to try some other things. I noticed some people sharing dishes and a fried fish dish looked rather good. Most of the Vietnamese families were eating a soup with sour vegetables so maybe we'll try that the next time. Just don't order the Bo Luc Lac. read more

This is the latest site in the "my aunt's friends' reunions" lunch series. Wasn't expecting that much, but at least 3.5 stars gives it a fighting chance. We didn't quite go for a big banquet or anything, but it was a prearranged meal. It was the highest priced ($119.95) of the family style meal options on the back of the menu, and we did one of these per table of ten. With the way some dishes seemingly evaporated, I'd suggest that this multi-course menu is better suited to a table of eight or nine. I will say up front that I didn't enjoy the pacing. I think we probably asked them to bring everything out at once, knowing that we'd have to vacate the premises around 2pm for a big wedding reception. I still think they shouldn't have tried to get every single dish on the Lazy Susan at once. It felt rushed at least in some part because they were clearing out old dishes quickly, and dishes just cooled down too fast to spend significant time eating all of them while at a hot temperature. Still, I think I was able to get a pretty good impression of all the dishes that we had. Canh chua tom (sour soup with shrimp): solid broth for this soup, with balanced sourness and a little sweetness. Shrimp was a little overcooked by the time I got to it, and it was one size smaller than I would have liked. Muc chien don (crispy calamari): battered and fried squid. Pretty tender. Not extremely crispy or flavorful, but that at least means that it's not oversalted. Dau hu muoi xa (lemongrass tofu): nice lemongrass flavor, but not a lot of crispiness by the time I ate it and not as silky as it should be. Rau muong xao toi (garlic ong choy): not really that garlicky, my opinion as well as that of the table was obvious since it was the only dish that was so far from finished. Probably would skip this if ordering not based on the preset family menus. Ca kho to (clay pot catfish): delicious, lightly sweet, tender, and catfishy. Would get again. Bo xao saté (sauteed beef): pretty tasty, tender beef with lots of nice onions and bell peppers. It's not a standout but it's good enough to consider grabbing, depending on whether the bo luc lac (shaking beef) is any good (wish I'd gotten a shot at that one). Canh ga Royal ("Royal" chicken wings): would definitely come back just for this. Great crispy exterior, juicy interior, and sweet flavor that's not quite the same as any other chicken wing that I've had. Wings are larger than you'll find at some places, another plus in my book. Honey walnut shrimp (somehow listed as "cashew" shrimp on menu): good crispy texture, mayo-based sauce lacked a little of the orange flavoring, kinda skimping on the candied walnuts. I think they're trying too hard with the crispy wonton strips, an atypical element. Basil clams: tender and tasty. The meat on these clams is larger than what I typically find. Would also like to have this one again. There were hits and misses, but keeping in mind the nearly-simultaneous serving of nine entrees and the likely loss of quality, I would say it was a decent meal overall and a good value considering the price. I'd only go back for a small number of the dishes though, and the entree prices seem to be less of a good value. read more

I remember seeing this a while back but we never set foot in here. My dad and his gf recently discovered that there are very specific dishes to be had here. The environment is this huge space which is more suited for night life and weddings. However my dad is not a nightlife type of guy so we went for lunch. At that time, the place is empty except for a few business lunchers. It's large and vacuous but it's new and clean. Things you should go for which you won't find at other joints and if you do, they most likely won't be as good... -Ca Nuong/Roasted catfish. now I generally don't care for catfish but the way they roast it here, they treat it like a roast pig. The fat is rendered, the skin crisps and it's nicely seasoned. They glaze it and then add a peanut/scallion oil to the top. The flesh comes out very well cooked and all the bad tastes of catfish are roasted away -Goi Bo/Beef Salad. Rare beef that is prepared with a citrus/pepper vinaigrette that cooks the beef like in a ceviche. Tart and refreshing. -Goi Xoai/Mango Salad. This is a salad where they use green mango in a julienne, with prawns, and deep fried fish strips (almost bacon like). Hot peppers and a vinaigrette make for a spicy and cold/crispy, texture filled salad. -Oc Len Xao Dua/Sea Snails in Coconut Sauce. Admittedly, this dish is a bit more work than I care to do. Sea snails are not very big and the effort to get them out of their shells are a pain. However the sauce that they are prepared in is super tasty. Not big on the snails but big on the flavor. THe service is a bit inconsistent and depending on who you have, they sometimes seem indifferent. However go here for the unique dishes that you won't see in most places.. read more

I had my wedding on 11/12/22 at Royal Restaurant and Banquet in Westminster, CA. This venue is breathtaking. They were willing to work with all my requests. They work well with my wedding planner and all my vendors. Chu Phuong, the manager at Royal is super sweet and accommodating. He always answers all my questions quickly. He gave me great suggestions on food and how I should set up the tables. He made me feel like he is part of my family. All of my guests were very impressed the moment they got to the reception. The food was spectacular. I usually skipped the fried rice and the soup when I attended weddings at other restaurant, but the fried rice and the soup I had at my wedding were so good. Their walnut shrimp was also amazing. The moment I tasted the crispy and delicious shrimp, I had to text my friend immediately about it. The lobster noodle was the best lobster noodle I have ever tasted. My husband turned to me after tasting it and said in a sad voice, "We won't get to taste this deliciousness again after tonight." We got the open bar for 4 hours. They did not disappoint. All my guests enjoy their drink. The bartender kept the line moving quickly. The servers were professional and accommodating. The interior of the restaurant was very stunning, it gave my wedding a very magical and royal feeling. October 2021 wedding. We recently celebrated our wedding at Royal Restaurant and Banquet after having to postpone it for ~1.5 years due to the pandemic. The restaurant was a beautiful setting for the celebration with high ceilings and spacious interior. The thing that impressed me the most was how helpful and gracious the owner, Mr. Phuong, and his whole staff were. Mr. Phuong was incredibly accommodating throughout the whole pandemic and understood when we needed to postpone. They also provided many services complimentary that other places charge for. Day of, Mr. Phuong and his staff made sure that everything went off without a hitch. The food was delicious and the service was immaculate. Royal is definitely one of the fancier Vietnamese restaurants. The decor is nice - the chandeliers, the wall hangings, the wallpapers, the furniture, etc. The service was excellent (since there weren't that many customers when we went...we had at least two waiters tending our table). Overall, the food here is above average. Some are really good while some are worth a try but probably would not leave a lasting impression. The menu is a mixed of Vietnamese (the stuff you would find at a regular Vietnamese restaurant), Vietnamese with French influence, French, and American food. They are all served in a fancier way compared to the surrounding restaurants. There is a Steak section where you would find most American food. I quickly glanced through it so I wasn't sure what was on the list in that section. The lunch special here though is a bargain. At $ 6.95, you can get special prepared rice with grilled salmon (or grilled chicken), an amuse of stir-fried Asian vegetables, shrimp spring roll, and a homey Vietnamese cabbage soup. Our party of seven ordered four a la carte items, a Vietnamese hot pot, and the lunch special (that was me). The a la carte items were served in sizable portions. All in all, we were so full after the meal that we didn't bother to order dessert. Notable items - Royal Rotisserie Chicken (Ga Ro Ti Royal) and Caramelized Catfish in clay pot (Ca Bong Lau Kho To). The bill came out to be $109 (tip and tax included). Not too bad for lunch in a nice restaurant albeit we would have paid less if we had gone to other mediocre food joints in the area. This is a beautiful venue for a wedding reception dinner, but the food...eh, I had better! I give them props for trying at least. It's located in the same plaza as Yogurt Passion, but in the way back. Parking was plentiful. Since this was a wedding banquet, we all had the same items, family style. I don't quite remember how many courses we had, maybe 8? But I do remember, the lobster was under flavored and lackluster. It wasn't that good. It didn't wow me at all. They also had this delicious filet mignon dish, that I will give kudos for. It was very delicious and mouth watering. The other dish I liked was the shrimp with walnuts. The shrimps were like on steroids. They were astronomically huge! The perfect compliment were the candied walnuts. I could eat a whole bag of those babies, and probably get a sugar high. I can definitely say that I've been to a fancy Vietnamese restaurant that is up to date. This place has an opulent decor reminiscent of an era gone by. The dining area is huge with large tables throughout. It's definitely a place well equipped for a wedding reception. My mom suggested this place yesterday after she decided that she would come out to the OC for dinner. Which means, I'm coming out to see you so you better clear your schedule. The same went for my two brothers so I wasn't alone. =) The food is a bit all over the place. They have a French cuisine like Coq au vin and some sort of beouf stew that isn't bourguignon. They also have Vietnamese fare like spring rolls, rice dishes, and noodle dishes. No pho, however. My mom ordered the Bun Bo Hue, and it was too salty. My brothers ordered mi bo kho and mi royal, respectively. They ate it but I'm not sure if they enjoyed it or not. I ordered com ga nuong which is grilled chicken with rice. My dish was ok. It wasn't overly salty but I was really thirsty after, which to me is an indication of MSG. How can you screw chicken up? It's possible I guess. The service was good. The waiters are courteous. The one who took our order didn't even write it down and he got one of the drinks wrong. My mom even asked him if he needed to write it down. So much for that. The food and service is A-OK. Solid 3 stars. Would I come here again? Maybe. But I still like the hole-in-the-wall places that have better food. The decor is nice, but if you're going to splurge on something, it had better be the food and not the decor. For the 4 of us, it was $42 with tax. Not too shabby. They also take VISA or MC, which is also a nice change from the cash only policy that so many of the neighborhood restaurants have. read more

Yes this place was made for weddings so naturally, I had mine here. Here is one Bridezilla's experience: Food: Everyone knows wedding guests are pretty judgemental when it comes to the food they get served, and the experience always gets reflected back onto the bride so I had my entire menu customized to my liking. I started off with egg roll (cha gio) appetizers because I honestly prefer the eggrolls here over anywhere else in Bolsa. Next, I served a spring mix salad with dried cranberries, apple slices and cheese crumbles. I believe my dressing was some vinaigrette. My entree was surf & turf: salmon and filet mignon with a side of asparagus. For dessert, just a slice of my cake with a small scoop of sorbet (I had to provide the sorbet myself). Kids got a meal of chicken tenders and fries, and vegetarians received a plate of pasta and tofu/veggies. Of my 250 guests, everyone loved the food. Even my hard-to-please Grandma, and you know how picky old Viet women can be! Service: For Vietnamese standards, the wait staff did their job well in serving the guests and setting up the venue exact to my specifications. The manager and wedding coordinator for the restaurant were cooperative and easy to deal with. Venue: I was able to seat about 200ish adults comfortably in the room but had to put all the kids outside in the patio area. I did use banquet tables though (I had to rent and supply them on my own) so the configuration was different. You can't have open flames here unless covered in some type of glass jar so in order for me to use elegant tapered candles I had to buy flameless LED ones. Still turned out beautiful. Royal is already a classy looking venue so I kept my decor simple because I didn't want that overdone wedding look. I like that lighting & sound system is already part of the venue and you can choose from an array of uplighting colors. Complaints: The wait staff cut my wedding short at the end of the night because they wanted to clean up and go home. I assumed we had to be out by midnight or so but even though the dance floor was still full, they turned off the music before even 11pm so that they could start cleaning. Also, for a place geared towards weddings, I'd really like to see a real Bridal Suite in the future. The room they give the bride to change in is merely a closet and only fits one person. It'd be nice to have a real room for the bride and her entourage to get ready and change in together. Then again if you are doing a ceremony first you'll most likely be getting ready elsewhere. All in all, it was a pleasant experience for a decent price and pretty much what you see is what you get. read more

I have to give it a 5 star because I had my wedding reception here and it turned out beautiful. The main wedding coordinator is Phuong. You pretty much tell him what you want and he will make suggestions to try to accommodate you. Everyone loved and raved about the food. Shrimp and Walnut was the most popular dish. The dishes are kind of fusion but in a good way. The service was excellent. You can bring in your own liquor and wine. They will serve the wine for you. I also asked Phuong for some vendors. He gave me 2 cards, flowers and DJ. I used them both and both excellent choices. So you can trust his referrals. The banquet is new, spacious with high ceilings, clean, and elegant. So you can spend less on decorations. such as table and chair covers, napkin sets. lighting, ceiling decorations. The food there on a normal basis is pretty good. My favorite dish there is the grilled catfish. On Fridays, they have a live band. If you are into ballroom music. You will love this place. Generally older crowd dancing. read more

The banquet itself looks beautiful (much nicer if you go at night than during the day) The food was pretty mediocre though but you can't really blame them because they are located in the heart of Westminster which is where all the amazing Asian food are located. I have to say the two dish that stood out to me include the Asian mango salad - much yum! And the best is their seafood hotpot! -much much yum! We really wish that came out to us first because by the time we ordered that, we were already so full! Don't get their chicken wings - most mediocre dish. Their fried shrimp was not that crispy or fresh either. I wish I could give them a higher rating but food just didn't stand out. However, if you are looking to book a slightly bigger event last minute, they are very accommodating! Not bad customer service and price is super reasonable! 40 ppl party and we paid under 1000 for what appears to be a 10 course lunch! read more

I attended August Birthdays' celebrations at Royal and was very impress with the layout. There are a lot of tables, booths, and lounge seatings for their guests. The decor was very modern and cute. This spot is a restaurant by day and they hosts weddings and special engagements. There are patio areas for those who wants some fresh air or smokes. I haven't try the food but we were there for the drinks. Apparently that particular night, I was disappointed that they ran out of GreyGoose so I opted for Belvedere. Service was a bit slow, we waited for a while for Water, glasses, and ice. But also we had a group of almost 18 people. The DJs was awesome, we had some special singers, They played new waves, techno, House, trance. We drank, dance, and have a grand old time. read more

i was not a fan of this place when i went there w/ some friends for lunch at the beginning of the year. But i am impressed with this restaurant when we went for a wedding reception. The restaurant and its decor is perfect for a reception - simple elegance. The food was good also. The service was great. My mom's a vegeterian and the server went out of his way and got a salad together w/ bread/butter for my mom. my friend who did the reception there told me the reception was not too expensive so that will add a plus from me. read more

This review is strictly for the baked catfish!! it is UHHH-MAZING!!!! This is my second time here and both times we ordered this because it was that good! It does take awhile for it to come out. I would say about 30-35 minutes but it is totally worth the wait. The outside of the fish is baked to perfection. It is so crispy heck I would just eat the skin alone! buttt the inside is also tender and full of flavors. Watch out for tiny bones! Once you put this fish together with all the veggies on rice paper and dip it in the sauce, you won't want to stop eating! We also ordered the 7 course beef and as i recalled, it was delicious. Didn't eat it the second time because I gave up meat but my bf and his family said it was better than the first time they had it. I guess they have their days in cooking the meat. Haven't tried their other dishes yet but I will always order the fish! Definitely feeds about 5 people! Saturday nights are pretty quiet. It does look kind of creepy with such a nice venue and only 4 tables are filled. not sure why but hey, at least theres less people for the waiters to attend so they can give all their attention to YOU! This place is perfect for wedding reception. The food is decent. Lunch service was nice.

I admit to it being really odd that there is a restaurant with this huge banquet space in the middle. Granted that we had a party of 22 people for lunch (!), but it's just so weird to have basically half of the tables filled with people and the rest was just waiters standing around for anyone to need anything. The food was pretty good for your standard Vietnamese fare. Here's the one thing I found odd: One of my cousins ordered filet mignon. She ordered it medium-rare. When the steak came out with salad and french fries, it looked well-done instead of medium-rare. There was no trace of red or pink anywhere within the steak. The ice cream was interesting. I stuck with the vanilla flavor, but everyone else was willing to try out other flavors including green tea, mango, and taro. Odd flavors to say the least. It was admittedly disappointing that they didn't have tiramisu. Why put it on your menu when you don't have it? That is something about restaurants that I will never understand. read more

After looking around at all the Vietnamese style wedding venues in O. C., we decided to have our wedding here on Nov 12, 2016. Chú Phuong, the manager was very professional and courteous during the whole process. He gave us recommendations on the menu and accommodates our request. The venue looked beautiful on our wedding day with Chez Rose floral decorations. We love the high ceiling and the elegant look of this place. We had great compliments on the food. The staff was nice and responded quickly to our guest needs. We were very pleased with the venue. read more

I'll keep it simple & short . I came in on 6/30/18 for my cousins wedding. Overall location very nice and spacious with enough parking to accommodate those large Asian weddings . Looks like they did a recent remodel & added additional booth seating . With the space they have in their dining hall you can really turn this space into an awesome wedding with a great events planner & draping and flowers etc. , the bar area small , bathrooms decent 3 stalls very cleans. Let's talk about food .. it was decent but average .. not terrible... overall I'm pretty sure you can adjust what you want to serve your guests with a custom menu . Music & stage I would say very loud & clear they need to drop it a few notches tbh =) . Let's discuss service , overall the servers were very attentive & helpful we got stuck with a clumsy waiter lol . So happy they re-opened! We love the food and ambiance here. They have a very nice patio outdoors where tables are all spaced out and a large bottle of hand sanitizer at the front. They have happy hour from 4-6pm which I'm looking forward to trying soon. Quality of food & service is always great when we come. Some faves are the mi kho & pho ap chao bo. read more
