My family came here for dinner and the food was alright for the price. The restaurant was clean and we were seated quickly because there was no wait. We purchased a combination special and the food came out in a timely manner. For the price, the quality of the food was only ok. I've had better and in my opinion for the price the food could be better and the portions could be a little bigger. What turned me off the most was that the service wasn't good. The waitress ignored us many times and we had to ask multiple times for extra bowls and napkins. Water is an extra charge and despite us ordering water bottles they never came out and they still charged us for it. Also be mindful that this restaurant is cash only but also takes Zelle. Overall alright experience but I probably won't be back.

CASH ONLY. To-go catering spot with mediocre Vietnamese food. WOULD NOT recommend seated dining. Food is mid, but they skimp out on the protein. BARELY ANY MEAT on our bò lúc lác and EVEN LESS SEAFOOD on our mi xào giòn hải sản... Also no free water, $1 water bottles instead. Service is poor. My family speaks fluent Vietnamese and English, but the young workers didn't bother responding to us when we asked for our fourth plate which was obviously forgotten. Instead, they just turned around and walked back to their standing spot and did not bother to even pretend to check in the kitchen... We asked twice and ended up cancelling the last plate after waiting too long. After receiving the check, they finally brought us the plate even though, we already cancelled 5+ minutes prior. Fortunately, they took it back to the kitchen and took it off our receipt. Honestly, the only plus about this place is that they're always open on holidays, and they give you a free fruit place for dessert for dine-in. Food isn't bad, it's just not good nor worth it in my opinion given the many better options on Bolsa Ave.

Great seafood, fast & attentive service, nice ambiance! Highly recommended if craving for fresh seafood. This place can hold your big party, inside and outdoor seating.

I like their party catering options. Second time ordered from them when I needed to host a party and didn't have time to cook. Trays always came out enough for my guests, I even had them pack some home. Will be ordering from them again for future gatherings.

Decided to try this location again and this time was much better. The restaurant interior was updated since last so tables are much more spaced out and looked nicer and refreshed. Service was surprisingly very good. Dishes we ordered were all decent, some better than others. They forgot the jelly fish on the salad but fixed it pretty quickly. Prices have gone up by a few dollars but thats everywhere. At the end they still provide a big box of fruits and that's always a plus. We had a much better experience this time around and will continue to come back. Crab fried rice (5/5) - our favorite dish! Jelly fish salad (4/5) - salad itself was very good but jelly fish was too soft and flavor too sweet/sour Crispy seafood noodles (3/5) - not a fan of the big noodles. The sauce made it soggy. Flavor was bland.

$1 for a water bottle because they don't serve free water here. I have never been to a restaurant that forces you to buy water bottle. And it is cash only. No sign posted. We are from out of town, and we don't travel with a lot of cash. They will tell you it is CASH ONLY when they bring you the bill. Food? I am 100% agree the food here is bad! Salted Fish Fried Rice: no salted fish, just fried rice with yellow food coloring. Tamarind Chicken Wings: Not crispy and super dried wings. Way too much tamarind sauce. Razor Clam with Water Spinach: very sweet. This is my first time having this dish. And I am not sure if it supposed to be sweet. Highly does not recommend.

Place was not great but not bad for seafood. I don't like the fact it was cash only and had to leave to get cash. What business still doesn't take card. Losing business this way for sure.

We steered away from our usual spot to try some of the other Vietnamese seafood spots and Tram Chim was A-OK. THis place is perfect for large parties and any family gathering celebrations. Eating with my large family we were seated right away and were able to try a lot of different items. None stood out to me as the best I've ever had but it was a solid meal overall. The no wait and more space between tables was a plus for me!

Washed it all down with their fresh bottled lemonade in strawberry and regular. First thing, the bread. So good. It honestly tastes like it's baked fresh daily and that alone makes a difference. Second, they are not stingy with the lobster. Every bite actually has lobster in it, not just filler. Everything was rich, fresh, and super satisfying. The bisque and chowder were the perfect add ons and the pasta and mac and cheese just took it over the top. The vibe is really cute too. It gives under the sea meets Fisherman's Wharf. Easy location, friendly staff, and they even have coloring contests for kids which is such a nice touch. Highly recommend if you're craving a solid lobster roll without leaving Orange County. Service was good and there's a decent amount of seating inside with cute little marine themed decor. Lobster roll combo with the soup ($32) - I got the Maine style (cold) lobster roll which had really good flavor and the amount of lobster was really nice. I wish they pushed the lobster down into the roll a little more instead of stacking it on top to make it look fuller because it made it a lot harder to eat. The side salad was okay. I liked the clam chowder a lot. Fries and tater tots were perfectly crispy! Flaming hot lobster fries ($25): This feels a bit overpriced for what it is and kind of lackluster. Fries were good and crispy but the cheese wasn't melted well. Lobster is thrown on there and I think it would be better with cheeto dust versus the random cheetos thrown on top. Fish tacos ($15): You get three tacos which is decent pricing. The fish was crispy and flavor is basic but good. All in all, a good spot to get your lobster roll fix without having to drive too far!

Louisiana Creole Approved!!!!…read more Wow, just wow. There were a few other things I was not able to photograph because everyone was so excited about the food it got snatched up. Lol My mother was in town, and I told her about a place that has creole cuisine. Being born and raised in Louisiana, my mom has a very strong opinion on southern cooking. She ordered a cup of a the seafood gumbo and was blown away. My mom has never liked any restaurants gumbo outside of the south. However, this fine establishment was the first to win her seal of approval. Everything was well seasoned and absolutely divine. We ordered several entrées like the gumbo, steamed oysters, French bread and butter, kids chicken tenders, H0use, lobster, blackened catfish, beignets, margarita, strawberry lemonade and a Moscow mule. The food was great. The service was good. The atmosphere was peaceful. There were so many great menu items. It was hard to choose so I guess that means we'll have to continue to keep going back so we can try everything.

Another date-night experience…read more My wife and I have a number of hometown favorite places to eat with friends and family. My wife also has a little phrase she likes to use on Friday mornings as we wrap up a busy week of work, family, home projects, and other commitments. She will inevitably turn to me, smile, and say, "Where are you taking me for dinner tonight?" Sometimes we enjoy returning to those familiar places where you can always count on a good meal, attentive service, and a comfortable setting. But this Friday, I was thinking, maybe not. How about a place with a menu that was a little unique to the Southern California community, but not necessarily international fare? That's when I came across Roux Seafood Kitchen. I always check the interior and exterior photos before trying a new restaurant because my wife notices things that I would never even think about or care about. For example, she immediately noticed the oyster shells as we walked to the door and the double glass doors as we left the restaurant. Both earned her seal of approval. The dining room and bar area were orderly, classy, and appeared clean and polished. This place was going to make the grade. I made reservations through the website's chat feature and received a prompt response, so we were set for the evening. We were greeted warmly at the door and escorted to a table with a "Reserved" sign on it. A corner booth by the window--perfect. The service was attentive throughout the evening. At least four different servers stopped by to check on us during the meal, and whenever we requested something, it arrived quickly. Every member of the staff was pleasant, engaging, and personable. As many other reviewers have noted, there are similarities to New Orleans-style cuisine. We, too, were reminded of the flavors and Cajun-inspired epicurean dining experiences we've enjoyed in the past. We topped off the evening with warm, sweet beignets covered in powdered sugar. It was a wonderful dinner and a pleasant evening, with just a little taste of Bourbon Street on Beach Boulevard.

I basically break down pho to 3 components: Noodles, broth and veggies. 1) The staff member here asked me if I wanted flat or regular noodles which seems obvious to some - but a lot of people don't know pho can come in an optional noodle shape! And I actually like the flat noodle better! 2) Broth. This stone pot special comes out PIPING HOT. You know the feeling when your noodles and meat come out separately and you ask yourself, is this going to cook before my broth is cold? No worries here. My steaming hot pho was hot hot hot till the last bite. And the broth itself had a really clean flavor profile. Pretty refreshing and different from what I've had! Had a really beefy umami flavor that was accompanied by the welcome temperature consistency. 3) Veggies. They keep it simple here with the selection, but again, the service was awesome. He asked if he could refill the veggies for us and the limes here are on point! Surprisingly hard to find juicy limes with the flavor to set you off on your pho adventure. The veggies were fresh and it's a nice touch to cook the sprouts so you don't end up with undercooked sprouts which tend to be bitter at times. Really chill spot. Nice calm EDM. Good meal to warm you up! And nice wide parking lot.

Instead of tomato sauce and traditional Italian toppings, the pizza leans toward sushi flavors: fresh seafood, creamy wasabi-infused sauce, seaweed, and sesame seasoning. Not too big of a deal once you factor in all the other great qualities Oc & Lau has. The pricing is costly and the portions can be small depending on what you are ordering.
